Grow Timeline (44 updates)
I'm really starting to think until I figure out a better way to heat up my grow room in the basement the colder months will be low yielding.
I run all my equipment outside the tent and have full lighting ( tent size ) helps. Ac infinity has good little heaters.
Unfortunately my finances dont allow me to purchase a controlled heater. If I could I would definitely have all the new growing hardware.
Took a few extra pictures 😁
Ok that looks perfectly healthy, nice!
They're filling in some. This winter growing in the basement hasn't been kind. I think I've had some slowed growth.
So I purposely waited an extra day so that I could water yesterday because it was exactly 2 weeks from the last feeding. It probably wouldn't have affected anything doing it a day early but I did it. Probably didn't have to feed again because they won't have time to utilize the top dressed dry amendments but I did it anyway.
what must u do to make a clone but love the setup
@Snotty217 I'm bad at explaining so this is from an AI explanation with a couple comments from me in it. Hope it helps! To make a **cannabis clone** (a genetically identical copy of a mother plant via vegetative propagation), follow these steps: ### 1. **Select a Healthy Mother Plant** - Choose a **vigorous, pest-free female plant** in the **vegetative stage** (not flowering). - Age: 2+ months old, well-established. **( I don't wait this long. )** - Look for desirable traits (yield, potency, structure). ### 2. **Prepare Tools & Materials** - **Clean, sharp blade/scalpel** (sterilized with alcohol) - **Rooting hormone** (gel or powder, e.g., Clonex) - **Rooting medium** (options below): - Rockwool cubes (pH 5.5, pre-soaked) - Rapid rooter plugs - Aero cloner (water-based) - Coco/perlite mix - **Humidity dome** or propagation tray - **Mild nutrient solution** (optional, very diluted) - **Spray bottle** with pH’d water (5.8–6.2) ### 3. **Take the Cutting** - **Timing**: Early morning (highest turgor pressure). - **Cut**: - Select a **lower branch** with 2–4 nodes. - Make a **45° angled cut** just below a node (3–6 inches long). - Immediately place cutting in water to prevent air bubbles. - **Trim**: Remove lower leaves (leave 1–2 sets at the top). Scrape lightly or split stem base (optional for better rooting). ### 4. **Apply Rooting Hormone** - Dip the cut end (1–2 cm) in **rooting gel/powder**. - Tap off excess. ### 5. **Plant the Cutting** - Insert into pre-soaked rooting medium (don’t push too deep). - Gently firm medium around stem. ### 6. **Create Ideal Environment** - **Humidity**: 80–90% (use dome; vent daily to prevent mold). - **Temperature**: 72–77°F (22–25°C). - **Light**: Low intensity 18/6 cycle, 50–100 µmol/m²/s). - **Air**: Gentle airflow (small fan, **no direct blast**). ### 7. **Maintenance (7–14 Days)** - **Mist** leaves 2–3x daily (use dome to retain moisture). - **Water**: Keep medium moist, **never soggy**. - **NO fertilizer** for first 5–7 days. - Watch for **wilting** (normal first 2 days) or **mold**. ### 8. **Transplant** - Roots visible: **7–14 days** (white roots poking out). - Harden off: Gradually reduce humidity over 2–3 days. - Transplant into soil/hydro medium. --- ### Pro Tips - **Sterility** is critical—clean everything. - Use **mild mycorrhizae** or rooting stimulants (e.g., Great White). - Label clones with mother plant name/date. - Success rate: 80–95% with good technique. **Legal Note**: Only clone cannabis where it is **legally permitted** (medical/recreational laws vary by region).
Had to make new comment to answer.
