My tent is 32x32x63, so it's quite crowded especially with two tents. I took the time to move my exhaust fan outside of the tent (pic #2). The duct runs through a hole in the wall, and the air filter is on the other end. The new AC Infinity heater has in and out ducting so it's now outside the tent on a closed loop (pic #1). I've had trouble attaching the small carabiners on my light pullys to the frame of the tent, however some small paracord loops took care of that (pic#3). This will allow me to move the light to nearly the top of the interior of the tent, so headroom is much less of a constraint as can be seen in pic 4
Getting ready to travel.
I'm going to Europe in 4 weeks. My kid is house-sitting and willing to maintain the plants but I want to make it as simple as possible for them.
New RO filter. It's kind of jury rigged. Need to buy a carbon block filter for it still (chloramine). It's also slow as hell. About 1 gallon in 20 minutes, so set a timer and come back to it.
Picked up a 13.3 gallon wastebasket with lid at the hardware store - about half the price of the Autopot branded one. Hopefully two plants in early flower when I'm gone won't require frequent refilling.
Got a small submersible pump in the bottom of the reservoir thats set to run 15 minutes every two hours. Need to monitor the shifting pH I think.
Still top watering, so the Autopot bases aren't in yet, but I'll probably turn them on this weekend.
Also, really liking the photone app. Not sure how accurate it is but to at least get SOME idea of how much light I'm using after this light burnt my last grow.
Look what just arrived for 4/20! A new AC Infinity Hydrone 5 dehumidifier!
It's still too dry here to give it an actual rest run, but that will change over the next month or so 🤣
AC Infinity really is the Apple of grow gear. They keep coming out with stuff and I keep buying. 😆
Yeah, keeping down humidity in the summer has been a very difficult and expensive proposition. The cheapo electrostatic dehumidifiers on Amazon do nothing. I have a 35 quart Media Cube that will bring down the humidity, but it still swings rapidly as it cycles on/off, and is expensive to run. I'm really hoping this works as advertised.
Fingers crossed it'll be good to see if they can take it when already established
They're supposed to be established before turning the Autopots on
Never used em idk. Wouldn't that be too much a water?
No, it's functionally individual ebb and flow trays. The base floods with a small amount of water like bottom feeding. As the water is consumed it decreases. There's a small vacuum created by surface tension which releases after about a 15-20 minute dry back, at which point the cycle starts again. It's also in a 70/30 coco/perlite blend so it's already holding a fair amount of oxygen
That's cool didn't know they did all that. Will have to look into
