Grow Timeline (14 updates)
so I mixed 50/50 fox farms happy frog and ocean forest in a small styrofoam cup placed germinated seed into the soil and watered now lest see where this goes (I used styrophom cup so when I trans plant I don’t stress it as much by messing up the dirt and roots I can cut the cup down the middle and be good
try just using the happy frog until the plant starts getting little bigger . the ocean forest is to hot for seedlings
ok I will switch it out tomorrow morning then thank you all and any advice is definitely appreciated.
when preparing the container u can put the ocean forest on the bottom half & happy frog on top & u will be ok
ok yea thank you see I’m from az and I just moved here and only thing around really is that thca crap that hurts my stomach and the real stuff ain’t no where close to az weed
I hear ya I never tried THCA .u allowed to grow there ? just be careful & don’t trust anyone. keep it to yourself. sucks that this plant is not legal everywhere. best of luck & just keep your grow simple & u be ok
TBH you won't even need to cut/tear the cup. I use and recycle them. I like em better than solos. quick rip 4 openings for the drainage around the base & quick poke 4 holes at the base. Transplant time just gently squeeze around the cup - from the bottom to the top - flip upside down and out she goes.
I was also told I can just plant the cup but idk I’d rather take it out and transplant it into the 5 gallon bucket I bought to its final resting place
been a lil worried i watered her the other day and some big drops landed on her and knocked her down flat “EEEK” so once the water drained down I stood the poor depended thing back up and put another handful of dirt around her to keep her upright that was two days ago or my last post I think but she’s looking good no signs of damage or anything any one ever do this let me know I’m a worried girl dad lol
just bought some cal-mag for her so this is the first time giving it to her as this is my first time with these products please give any advise or tips thank you
just use less nutrients then the manufacturer says . U in early vegetation so go a 1/4 strength. companies want u to use full strength so u buy more bottles. read the labels & see how much cal mag is in the base nutrients before u add anymore cal mag . u might not need more in the early stage . good luck & enjoy the grow
so I use the big bloom every other watering I put 3 tsp to two gallons of water and with the cal mag I believe I use 2tsp per 2 gallons what’s the best way you would mix it
I never used that . I always use advanced nutrients. I run the whole line . Except recently I had to get a bottle of silica & cal mag & grow shop was out of advance. I use general hydroponics armor silica & cal- mag . I got 6 gallons of silica, I use that on all my vegetables & plants. u need to have silica for stalk strength & lateral branches to carry weight of buds .. also add more soil to bucket . when using any pots fill to it 1inch from top & over time add more soil just go less then instructions say .make sure the PH is below 7 . just keep it simple, ask questions about
ok yea I’m having an issue with low ph I was doing some digging and I read that either eggshells wood ash or baking soda and water so I think I might try the baking soda method and see what happens but if adding more soil will help instead than I will do that it’s my first complete grow that I will finally get to complete for once
so this is my first grow that I get to complete but I’ve been working a lot and havnt been able to post but I’m not sure exactly where I am at in stages and need help identifying where I’m at in its life cycle plus I made the golden mistake of over watering her so I’ve been letting her live off what ever is left in the bucket until the bucket dries almost completely before I planted her I drilled a bunch of holes in the bottom of the bucket for drainage but still just got a lil to excited with the water. but again please any advice and tips that any of you can share with me will be greatly appreciated thank you
Def let her just dry out completely. This is called a dry back period and will allow her roots to spread out. Save the nutes for watering not spray. The nutrients are pulled in better through the roots.
is it still vegetative if there’s pistils there or is that preflower?
so other than the overwatering do you think she looks good does it look like she’s good and healthy
I'm guessing She's a photo I would take the top 3 nodes it looks like, in the first pic the nodes that have the house in the background I would take off, use disinfected scissors and chop right above the node. I'd get a second opinion
no they are autoflowers I’ve been kinda scared to top because the don’t have enough time to bounce back plus I’ve never topped before so I don’t want to risk losing it
it’s just one gorilla glue auto from aftermath seed co I bought 2 but only planted one just so I could focus all my attention and get to know her and get the feel for everything
well they are supposed to be feminized at least that’s what I paid for feminized auto flower
looks like a female that's just starting to pre-flower. not much time to top those. have you ever considered using fabric pots? less negative consequences if you happen to over water compared to plastic buckets. I use fabric and haven't had any soil issues and kept really healthy plants since day 1
imo the color looks healthy and you're doing a great job keeping her healthy. If you start putting nutrients in your water start at half strength then do a regular watering before full strength
yea after I was already settled into the bucket I discovered more about the fabric pots good thing is when I bought my seeds it came as a 2 pack so I got one more left and I’m going to plant that one in one of those fabric pots
looks like preflower has begun... and I agree with Freenuggs not to foilar spray. while foilar spray can and will give lush results, the nutrients you want in check are in the soil. By using foilar spray, you could be masking deficiencies that would otherwise make themselves known. The earlier deficiencies are detected the better. It's for this reason and this reason alone I never foilar spray my plants. Your plant looks healthy and decent size for just hitting the preflower stage. Still lots of growing to do. Keep at it. We all overwater from time to time, and one overwatering at this stage isn't going to ruin your grow. Having this said... now that pistols are poppin, you'll probably want to eliminate neem oil applications and consider alternative methods such as lady bugs and other predators, DE, etc. Never neem while in flower.
I’ve counted at least 12 flower sites/mini pre buds I’m so glad she’s doing good especially after the overwatering and nute burn but got all that corrected and she’s starting to flower nicely
hey wad up everyone sorry I havnt posted in a minute works been super crazy along with all the back to school stuff but I finally have a day to drop an update. so far so good actually I’m really impressed with these seed I got from aftermath seed co. we had a bit of a cold snap here for about 3 weeks tightend up her buds nicely. tricomes are still for the most part clear starting to get a little bit of cloud to them so imma let her sit another month maybe end of September we’ll see
Very nice, I usually just chuck em in a water bottle I havent finished. What are you growing?
I got the seeds from aftermath seed co. they are gorilla glue #4 feminized auto flower plants
Berry nice!
