It's parent strains- mother was -the soap father was - LA Rouge

I have the run down that ai found for me about it online it has a good lineage and funny back story so I am intrigued and definitely excited to see what harvest brings in a few months, I've never grown in soil before but it came in soil so I think I'll just keep her there instead of midway into veg transplanting into coco and perlite

That's awesome. I actually just changed to coco from living soil. I'm on my 6th coco run I believe and I love how it either is, or it isn't. If you know what's going in and what coming out, you can handle most anything... Most anything. I've been considering synganics lately. I just wish I had the time and space to do what I really want. Weird thing about the naming conflict. I haven't thought about that part of my life in ateat 5 years.

Right right coco is the shit if you have the time to pay attention to just your ec and runoff and can read the plant in its most basic asks before it hits issue point than coco is by far the most forgiving medium imo I think you only have more control when you run rodwc but that is less forgiving than coco everytime

So you have experience with rdwc then? I was going to throw together a DWC system and found out I could just buy a basic kit for cheaper than buying it all and building it. So I bought one, but that's as far as I've gotten. I have parted it out to use in my auto fertigation system that is just a hydro farm autopilot and a 400gph pump some tubing etc. I know for a fact I won't be able to keep the reservoir temp below 70° consistently and like you said. Changes or problems can occur swiftly. You get hours in coco I've noticed. A mistake can go really bad in 12 hours if you let it. I imagine in dwc and rdwc it's quicker. Also I don't have the need to grow massive amounts of bud. These days my hyper focus is on quality. Living soil is a nice easy way to grow if you aren't too concerned with chasing every little issue. Changes take a while and it's a challenge to be able to spot a problem early enough so top dressing even makes a difference. You have to wait for the herd to process it. Ferments are good. Drenches are faster. But then you're tiptoing into the realm of synganics. And it takes a shitload of space to make sure you have enough in your soil to carry you. When it's right it truly is "just add water" . All that damn soil though. You just have to reuse it. It's the only thing that makes sense if you are an avid soil grower. I used to mix coco into the final mix. About 30% coco perlite 70/30 added to the pro-mix and then I'd make the soil concentrated so I could have more in less space. Cut that about 1:3 living soil to the inert coco and pro-mix. You want to keep living soil wetter. Not soaked. Man there is an absolute art to watering soil. It'll drive you crazy till you get it down. It's all about the dryback. The coco let's it stay almost perfect and you just use grow bags on a bottom wicking feeding/watering system. No I have not ever run a rdwc set up I have read up on them pretty extensively tho so I have a understanding of how they work and such. I was wanting to do dwc as well but man coco just was so easy for me to learn and dial in everything within a short timeframe only think I need to get better with I know is really hurting my final final is when to ramp up PK for bulking phase of flower I can grow some 🔥 that's tried and true but the swell in bulking seems to evade me every time so far they may bulk some but never truly get swollen up like I see ofbers buds doing and it could be strain related but they are kinda airy too except the white rhino from last grow it was dense and tight calyxes but even they were only 1-1.6g buds and not a ton of them

Are you referring to the droop in the morning and right before lights off?

It happens yes at lights on which in itself wouldn't worry me just about 4hrs before lights off the drop not completely limp but enough it cin concerned me today since after I fed yesterday they didn't droop that evening but did it again today at 5pm and lights off ain't till 1030pm so it seems too early for it to be end of day relaxing. Could be wrong tho first time in soil and first with clone so I feel like it's my first time all over again haha but she's eating vigorously I fed at a EC of 1.3 it was .6 for my runoff that's a big drop so next feeding in a few days is gonna be heavier that these two feedings were I'll do .75 tsp grow .5 tsp micro and .75tsp bloom which is .25tsp more for each nutrient added, unsure when to use camg as I know it's not as necessary every feeding with soil compared to coco where it's needed every time almost (some say every time period) I want to push her to her limits but I know you don't come out the gate full blast with any early veg plant. But I am definitely going to push for a higher EC and feed schedule slight increases thru mid flower then taper off thru ripening and into harvest finishing with a 24hr flush just to appease that need to flush that's engrained in us from day one I know most sat 2 weeks I challenge that in saying bud doesn't store salts and nutrients like leafs and roots so it's not needed that intensely I've tested this theory in a 2 week flush for one plant and 24hr for a second with every other aspect of the grow from seed the same besides that one difference in flush length and I can say I liked it better 24hr flush and I feel I degraded potency and flavonoids and terpenes in the 2 week flush high just wasn't as fulfilling or heavy and flavor was definitely less pronounced in the 2 week flush as well.

Do u have to thing ur supposed to use with it cause alone its not correct its way off u can also tell the light is too far away cause shes lanky should be thicker to be that tall i just go by the light specs usually tells u how far ur light needs to be i keep mine as close as possible without burning if i see burning i move it up like tip burn last pic i saw yea it way too far up i would either top it or train it so the rest is the same height

So that long intermodal spacing isn't because my light is too high it's only 2 inches off the minimum height recommendation for this light per manufacturer specs but that app you put a piece of white paper over your camera I have been told by others and seen done on others post regarding this app and it's a ballpark not a absolute. Back to internodal spacing my light although full spectrum it favors red which as you should know given your statements here that that causes longer internodal space than if I had more blue spectrum RN so that's one part of it two is it's a clone I got this way from the dispensary I didn't take this cutting

Yea thats what i was trying to do when i first started too look at my grow then look at urs im on 6th but u learn as u go that paper ting do3snt do it right either u gotta have the difuser thing for it to be correct and its much easier to go by heat like getting a vpd montor with a probe i got one for 20 lets me know the heat right at the canopy thats what is the issue when doing leds u can be close it more about heat/humidty then light burn since it tall i woud just totally put a 90 bud clip right in the middle there right above the other braches then bring ur light down

I am going to top it today I was just waiting until I had cloning gel and a root plug I like to not waste things so I want to take what I cut off and use that cutting to make a clone because if it is successful in rooting then I will have two plants that are the same age and same height so when I flip the flower after I train for a few weeks I have this double my yield potential and and didn't cost me but $6 for the rooting gel

Yea sounds good fyi when u lollipop later u will have better cutting for clones i just took 5 and there all clone size they wouldnt have gotten any light cause i have the canopy filled already so u have to lollipop so u dont get little buds so ur buds on top will get bigger

Yeah I kept too much last run and because of it all the work I did filling the canopy in with the trellis netting the buds never really swelled much so I lost a lot of potential weight because I tried to only strip the bottom 4-6 inches when I should have stripped everything more than 3 inches below the net but also I am looking at under canopy which will make some more worth keeping but not all unless I really put some watrage to that area. I am buying a California lightworks solar system 550 and controller for it next week or week after and instead of selling the 2 clw solar Xtreme 250s I have I was thinking mount one on one side wall and the other on the opposite side wall and have the 550 beaming down on top I can manage heat from that and if the lights won't be negatively affected by hanging them like that since they have a fan on top which would be towards the wall and the other vents one would be up the other straight down I'm not sure so I'll have to do more research first if not I may sell the sx250s or at least one if not both and keep the other for veg or something

Yea u can just get a dimmer to disl them back so u can get closer i got more mass with a 60 watt on 2 plants than that in 2 weeks was aalso hand traiing the whole time so just bending and moving smaller ones inside whenever i checked on them 2 to 3x a day i just put the net on 2 weeks after transplant

I would love to successfully clone her just to keep things going after this seed ban in case I can't find a reliable affordable seed connect I can't afford the 50 a clone vendors offer got my seeds from strng and alot of ppl don't like them but I have had great results as a newbie all three plants I have popped I made it thru harvest no issues besides my own learning mistakes. Then a friend who grows here in az gave me a bag with a few seeds

Lol yeah my LST skills could use some improvement but I am getting better at it this time I got her wider but also none of the nodes lined up on this one she was a clone one of the local dispensarys gave me so I have been trying to figure out making her flat without any part of her being level.. also she was completely like she was grown against a wall almost how flat the one side was so clips are because of trying to send shoots that way so she would have four sides it'll work for now. I'll get it right next run cause it will be from seed which gives me symetrical which takes out half of my issues. I am going to let her start going vertical tho from here on ouf and do my best by readjusting as needed but for the most part I am done pushing wider i am ready to go taller now.

Had to do something the dogs were eating leafs any chance they got lol it's working well so far only load one leaf since she got put in the cage.

Its definitely gonna help her through the first 2 weeks of stretch

Yeah I'm not gonna flip until she gets to be about 2.5-3ft tall so she's got time still I'm not trying to flower her in this three gallon pot I want to move her to a 7-10gallon to finish in, that happens at the end of the month then once she's recovered I'll do one last round of tie downs and then flip her to 12/12

How big of a space do you have for her?

I have a whole walk in closet for her it's 3x6 standard ceiling height

Might be a little bigger even I'm just guessing I haven't measured

Ty I am excited to see what she flowers like too I am thinking with this longer than usual veg and her building some nice pencil sized or bigger branches already she's bulking up to have a nice heavy flowering period I know nothing about her besides she's indica and had a funny backstory to her name I have no clue what to expect from her she was a gift from the dispensary

Plant size isn't equal to bud size tho. It does look indica because shes still short after topping for sure. Might want to flower her earlier so you can see for sure. Ive wasted time in the past thinking big plants = big buds

I know it is possible to have a great harvest on a plant that isnt huge but more nass and branches more budsites will develop this run I will lollipop her but I want under canopy lighting so I can bulk the mid level buds and I'm at a friends house now my house still ain't ready hoping Monday it will be but we'll see

I had not thought about using it as a training tool no but that is an interesting idea! Maybe next run I'll get a cage I can use for the whole cycle and try that just to see how it works out!

Definitely it was implemented because I am crashing at a friend's house waiting on mine to be ready I hope this weekend but the dogs kept getting at it so I put it in the cage to keep them out of it which has worked and funny your the second person to mention using it as a trellis but if I'm moving out of my friends soon I don't want to get her locked into that cage as it's his I have one but it's in my storage unit

Yeah it definitely does work for sure I mean had to get creative to keep the light high enough above her to not bleach or fry the leafs but beyond that it's been working wonderfully, now I know in a pinch that it will work could even wrap in mylar reflective wrap too if you could still mitigate the heat and all, I have a small fan set up blowing thru the plant so I been steady at 22°c and rh between 45-53% really only hit that higher number right after watering her as evaporation is real here in phoenix even putting a bowl of water to raise rh doesn't always work cause it evaporated faster than it could be beneficial.

To keep the dogs from eating the leafs although it could work asa a trellis however once my house gets this stinking inspection I can move in finally and she will have a full walk in closet to live out her days in and hopefully the two cuttings become established plants to run as this one drys and cures

You sure nuts I don't think you need 7 let alone ten? I mean if you have too in my case it would be good to have a couple but to actually flower in hell plants would get way to big in my grow lol
