Grow Timeline (9 updates)
The wife and I got some babies going.
FINALLY!
Poor snow ripper just isn't doing as good as her fellow seedlings.
All watered at the same rate and germinated directly in the soil on 8/18
Happy Frog soil
BudCups because we like easily transplanting
Watered with a pH between 6 and 7
Hindu Kush by Sensi Seeds (first 2 pics, same plant)
Special Kush #1 by Royal Queen
Snow Ripper by Blimburn
I know it's probably early to some but I know they'll do fine. All 3 are now in their final pots. Watered and shut down the lights so they could adjust.
We are now starting the next round of seeds.
If anyone would like to drop some germination methods in the comments, we would appreciate that. Our direct to soil approach worked for these 3 babies but hasn't worked since.
These plants are doing great.
Stems are super thick for their age and they already smell wonderful.
Very excited for this grow journey.
Can't post the others at the moment but we have 2 Amnesia Haze opening up now and waiting for an Alaskan Purple, a 3rd Amnesia, and a Fuel D.og to show themselves.
I'll add some new pictures once lights come back on.
Grateful to be able to grow with you guys. ๐คโค๏ธ
I was gona say he's at the start of plant showing deficiencys or sum too unless that's jus from being to dry
You are correct. Often times I'll flick the lights on and start snapping pictures before I do anything else. This was day 2 or so of no water.
Im actually suprised it looks as healthy as it does considering every pic is super dry gotta use ur finger if u can put ur finger up to the first nuckle and its dry its too dry in veg for sure especially early life
Should I increase the amount given?
Yes keep her wet hard to over wayer in the grow bags go til u see it coming out the bottom and the top is moist
Noted for sure. Thanks for the info ๐
Yeah I did a little research and found out I'm giving way less than they need. What do you water with? Might sound like a silly question but I prefer not to use tap water.
I water with tap but I live in the boonies with my own deep well. Not only that but the spray bottle at the dalla store works good cause it has a scale on the side. Think they are 5 bucks๐ ๐ค
Thank you for the info. I live in the city and wouldnt put this tap in my body so I wouldn't give it to my babies. Haha Im going to work my way up to 300. I appreciate you.
Lol I don't blame you. If you gota use it, you can but you gota let it sit out with cap off to disapate the chlorine for 24 hrs or more. An nada problem I understand ๐ค๐ค
After further research, I discovered 300ml is 1/4 of what I feed them. These are close to week 4 of veg in 5 gallon fabric pots.
I was saying start from that an go up. I wasn't sure what you were even giving them. I didn't even think you gave em that
Lol
๐ค๐ ๐ค pictures are deceiving too so I wasnt sure how old she was. Plus you can always put more water you can't take away.
All good my friend. I also didn't specify the needed details so that didn't help haha. ๐ I appreciate you trying nonetheless.
Finally got the 2x4 set up.
Moved the babies and Special Kush #1 over where they will stay.
Empty fabric pots in the 2x2 will eventually get moved when amnesia and Alaskan purp in the cups are ready for transplant.
Mo water.
The Hindu has a half inch stalk.
We moved the Hindu Kush and Snow Ripper in with the Special Kush #1 in the 2x4 and leveled the canopy.
Amnesia Hazes are now in the 2x2
Recharge is stuck in Omaha.
It was being used to spread the canopy of the Hindu Kush and Snow Ripper. We're not quite ready to start spreading out the amnesia haze so I just left it slightly above the plants. This is only my 3rd grow so I'm still learning as well.
I use it in flower to support the weight of the buds. My SFV OG plant definitely needed it because I didn't do any twisting or bending in veg.
Went to water the bigger plants. Checked on my baby and I seen that. Beyond excited, since I don't have a green thumb. I added a couple sprays of water to her as well. This is my first grow as well.
Turn up!!! Welcome to the world nugget.
The paper towel method is tried and true. Dampen a paper towel ( not dripping wet) -> store in a warm dark place and check back in 48-72 hours. All my seeds have germinated in 24-48 hours in the paper towel as opposed to the 2-3 weeks in soil. Also don't worry about planting in the forever pot! It's perfect because you don't risk and transplantation shock etc. Once germinated I always drop them in their forever pot
Only had non bleached coffee filters but they worked wonders! Got some amnesia Haze in the works now. Thank you for the comment! I personally like transplanting from a cup.
To each their own ๐ค never thought about coffee filter but I imagine it would perform similarly
