Grow Timeline (84 updates)
began introducing direct (evening) sunlight to the plants for about an hour. watered ~36ml each
Need to stake it a little to get that bend out of it ,That will come back to hurt you once it starts to get flowers on it .Plus a variable speed fan on it at low should help it build that stalk up.
thank you. I will do that today! any suggestions on what to stake it with for best results?
90ml water added after setting outside in direct morning sun for ~1 hour.
spent the rest of the day indoors under humidity domes.
brought back indoors under humidity domes (plastic water bottles)
The next few days are going to be in the mid 90s which is hot for Minnesota. peat pots dried out throughout the day. I added 30ml water to each pot.
AOG’s second set of true leaves are starting to produce two side leaves (total set of 3)
I'm in Northern Minnesota and it went from the 30's two weeks ago to high 80's. I've been doing everything I can to reduce heat. I changed the lights to be off from 1pm to 7pm it helped alot
thanks. it’s 90 degrees again today, forecasts for mid 90s tomorrow. Saturday is calling for a chance of snow. 🤷🏻♂️😐
another hot day in Minnesota, but the girls seem to be holding their own. gave 60ml of water each.
AOG got leggy early, but seems to have slowed. when I transplant I’ll bury deeper
218? or 612?
218! waaaaaaaay up north
good luck fishing 🎣 I go to red lake for vacation sometimes
nice! certainly some nice fish in Red!
well what was supposed to be a break from the intense heat today did not happen. another scorcher.
gave the girls some early evening direct sunlight. may have stressed them a little as they started drooping a bit.
brought them in and gave them 90ml water PH’d to around 6.8
Mother Nature is off her meds. had some difficulty with temp control. I think they are showing some stress from it. I was going to transplant today or tomorrow, but I think I’ll let them recover a bit longer
Didn’t see any growth today in relation to the daily changes I saw prior to transplanting. I’m assuming the gals are a little shook. don’t see much for negative effects other than that so I’ll keep an eye out and see how they fair in the coming days
not alot to report today, was a busy day in the personal life. but here are day 21 photos
They are coming along well! When do you think about transferring outside? I brought my last ones out at 3 weeks and they’re doing lovely.
I was hoping to this weekend but we are stil getting overnight low temps in the 30’s and 40’s so I might wait another week or so. been putting them out from time to time during the day though to harden them off
Good stuffs. Locally, it gets around 50-60 at night so my gals are thriving.
starting Monday the forecast is calling for lows in the 50s. so 🤞 I can get them out then.
I’ve been hardening them off gradually over the last week or so. I’m going to start the transition to more outdoor time than indoor time now. still seeing overnight lows forecasted in the 40s F for the next few days so I’ll bring them back in overnight until those temps warm up
also note: the nutrients listed above were mixed into 1 gallon of water. that gallon was split between both plants.
back outside for day 3 of full day of sun. they are doing well so far. decided to start LST on Alien OG.
They love taking a beating!
this appears to be true so far. haha. I’m waiting for her to say “thank you sir , may I have another” 😂
been about 5 days since I’ve updated! life gets in the way sometimes! People say they are small for their age. but they have good color and look healthy. so I guess we will see what happens!
will give a good dose of nutrients when I water tomorrow.
thx for these updates. it gives me some insight into where I should be at.
you bet
TDS 632
EC .9
pH 6.5
I did some LST today on the lower branches to allow some of the smaller mid level/inner branches to get some more sun. accidentally broke off a branch. not sure how it’ll affect the plant overall.
I can tell these sluts are getting thirsty. watered yesterday and they already feel dry. there is potential for rain this afternoon so I’ll hold off until then to see how they do.
is that an auto plant ? early to be flowering outside in the summer . loos good 👍
sure is.
ok, I was wondering if u were bringing plant out for 12 hours sun & bringing it in for 12 hours of darkness. I use to know someone who would do that . it a lot of work & need to be able to get it back in on time . pain in the ass . good luck looking good 👍
this is the trichomes on my Alien OG. can you help me interpret what I’m seeing? is it ready to harvest yet?
plain water for AOG
Nutes for Zookies
2 more weeks 🤣 But really, I dont see any amber yet.
not much noticeable happening the last few days. continuing to watch trichomes on AOG. Zookies is still a couple weeks out yet
They look like Capitate stalked trichomes that have the most THC when almost full milky and more CBD, CBG if you let them go amber/brown stage to develop more essential compounds which is think has a little more relaxing high
trichomes from a bud off a low branch semi interior of plant.
can anybody give me input on what I’m seeing? to me I see plenty of clear still. is that correct?
not ready clear still
thanks for confirming
weighed in wet full plant 272g
Zookies still flowering for another week or two.
after looking at the forecast, the next several days call for chances of rain. I decided to chop AOG to head off concerns of bud rot. Will check Zookies trichomes in a day or two. probably have a few weeks yet on her
-Alien OG-
After passing the snap test, and thoughts it was way too dry, I decided to trim and jar for curing.
felt the buds were overly crispy, but when I ground up part of a bud it seemed way less dry,
76 grams spread between 3.5 quart jars with a 62% Boveda Pack and hygrometer in each jar.
I always thought the snap test was to dry I like a little squish to it whatever doesn’t dry while you cure you can make up for in the burping
If it gets to dry just throw an orange peel in the jar for a bit
or mango peel for added myrcene😉
or your fan leaves!!!! no funky orange after smell. let's be honest, you can always tell when someone rehydrated buds w oranges 😂
what about a piece of a tortilla?
I remember first starting to grow in the 90's it's amazing watching them sprout and grow you will learn so much and get hooked but It's a great hobby and craft to get into and rewarding
