Grow Timeline (11 updates)
First post. To summarize we are growing in our second bathroom enclosed shower, hooking into extractor fan outlet for ventilation. Using Tuya thermostat/hygrometer smart switch to control fan currently to maintain temp and humidity
Soaked seeds for 12-24hrs on 11 June and planted into growing medium. Light has been on at 50-60% since then, mostly to maintain heat as we are below 10°C regularly beginning of NZ winter. 8PM tonight first noticed these babies poking through!

Little bit of stretch in the first few days of last week, recovered alright with mounded soil/coco and lowering of light.
Begin higher strength nutrient feeding this week, using spring water from the Speights brewery.
Outdoor temps keep dropping here, hitting 0°-5° which has already rendered my heat lamp ineffective with tent temps dropping to 18°~ last few nights. Picking up an oil heater and closing the bathroom off for remainder of grow.
Lights, fan, ceramic heat lamp all running from Tuya smart sensors and automation scripts through tuya life app. Works great
Both going pretty hard recently, started tying down yesterday and today already some nice growth happening. Watering every day almost with 500-700ml water and nutrients mentioned in grow description.
Smell is already getting quite weedy, purchased a 200mm inline fan and filter; just waiting for ducting to arrive in two weeks time. Probably stink by then, but we live beach side and locals smell like weed themselves 😄
Bought a 300x150 tent for our next adventure once this is harvested and rental inspection cleared for another 3-4 months

LST providing great results with daily adjustments. The blue plant that was almost horizontal has now straightened up and the red has been tilted down. Opening canopy as required and rotating pots to refocus light on exposed areas. Explosive growth, light raised 5cm to encourage more upward movement. Cute wee bushes 🥹
Pig the cat admiring his weeds, loves to eat the odd leaf and has eaten a rooted clone from the windowsill in the past.
Plants doing well, handled daily LST adjustment super well, due to enter early flower this week. Will post some pictures once things start happening in that department.

It's day 27 and the plants have begun transitioning! No testosterone in the feed mix so no FtM situation here 🤏
I have done the last defoliation around base, first couple photos show the successes of LST with these plants. The rims of the fabric pots have been cut down to help with light exposure to lower nodes, while looking at some supplemental lighting for under canopy. Purple appearing in stems and middle of leaves.
Scrog net is in, it should come in handy as height is expected to double at a minimum in the coming fortnight.
Feed mixture, have dropped Yates Thrive all purpose and transitioning to Yates Thrive Flower & Fruit soluble mix. Next week add sulphate of Potash in small doses, each week increasing Blackstrap Molasses.
Starting to stink bad, thankfully landlord is a smoker and his nose is too cooked to notice 🙌
Light cycle still 18/6, temp sits around 24-25 and humidity around 50% RH. Fan runs constantly.
Current feed mix to 500ml water:
Yates Thrive all purpose -0.5ml
Yates Thrive Flower & Fruit - 28ml
Chelsea Molasses - 1.2ml
Epsom salts - good pinch

Now… (nube here) what exactly does the netting do? I mean support for branches but is that the only reason for it? Expecting heavy bud and don’t want anything breaking… kinda like a cage or thing over a peony plant?
From one noob to another, I think the idea is to have an even canopy top by weaving the growth through the net. Rather than having buds growing upwards, competing with each other for light and having uneven sizes across main colas. My first grow so still learning too, GL ✌️
Oh… so it does serve more than one purpose… and explains why my out door grow stood so straight…hmmm I will be following the progress to see the results

Coming along nicely, colas starting to poke their heads up and buds beginning to shape up. Have been doing very light defoliation, instead opting to bend leaves out of the way to open canopy. In a week or so, any larf left below will be removed as full flower begins.
Small tent has been moved into a half set up 3m x 1.5m tent as humidity became an issue in shower cubicle with increased feeding. Bought a dehumidifier and paired with an oil heater to avoid constant defrost cycles as temps reach 0 overnight
Ditched the babushka tent setup, plants are now enjoying 1.5x1.5m area. Easier and cheaper to regulate temp and humidity. Carbon filter installed and working well, will miss house smelling of weed in the morning.

yes perhaps. it was sufficiently moist below surface, or at least I thought. as leaf sets are appearing, light strength increased and water intake up
