Grow Timeline (4 updates)
After a 3 month hiatus finally back at it. running all autoflowers, switching to photoperiods on the next grow after this. Just planted everyone last night, will update when sprouts are happening
Has been 3 going on 4 days since putting in dirt. 5 or 6 have spriuted so far, had to help a couple that somehow got buried deeper then they should have but they should be fine.
However the other 3 that I moved soil around to see whats going on with taproots, 2 were Jelly Donutz and 1 was an LSD. One of the Jelly i found a white taproot but it had no catyldons growing out of the other end so I just pulled it and planted another Jelly seed. The other Jelly and the LSD i couldn't find any signs of the seed itself or a taproot. So planted another seed in each hoping 2 dont somehow pop in them lol if they do ill just cull one of them I guess.
So little bit of a frustrating start getting back at it. But were on the way slowly lol
*shrugs* replaced 3 that didnt pop with different beans on Monday, was unable to find a taproot in 2 of them and 1 had a gimpy taproot. Still no signs of growth on 1 Jelly and 1 LSD so not sure whats going on here. Funnily enough the largest and furthest along is from a seed produced by ATF pheno 2 from the last grow. Everyone else is still pretty tiny. Really hoping these other 2 pop in next 3 to 5 days so I dont have to replant a seed in them for the 3rd fucking time.
Also im a dumbass and just realized this morning that I only had 4 out of the 8 bulbs on lmaoooo no wonder they were stretching a bit and look a little smaller then usual 😅 built the soil up around the base of the stem on a few that were stretching
Never had this much trouble getting a batch started lol honestly if those 2 never pop i might just run the 7 and try to SCROG it out
Are they autos or why such big pots for such small plants?
Yes they are all autos, start them in their final pots. They're not big pots only 3 gallons of soil per plant, I fold a 5 gallon cloth pot in half. Honestly I start photoperiods in their "final pot" most of the time as well. Transplanting is just unnecessary steps unless working with clones imo they just germinated and popped above soil maybe 3 days ago so yeah they're tiny now lol but you can look at my previous grows to see how big they get, 4 to 6 Oz per plant sometimes more or a little less. Averages out to about 4 Oz a plant though usually also stretched a bit and might be a little smaller then they usually are at this stage compared to previous grows because my dumbass only flipped one of the light switches so only had 4 out of 8 bulbs on for the last week until this morning when I realized it lmfao
Ahh ok fair enough I get it for autos I have a good technique for transplant so I never have had to deal with delay while they recovered it's all happy no matter what
My first autoflower grow (which i believe is also on here in previous grow logs) i started them in solo cups and transplanted and honestly think everything came out just fine didnt seem to stunt them or cause them to flower early so idk 😐 I just been sticking with the "final pot from the start" method because its easier and less steps lol

So since this morning we have full sprouts in all pots, except that turns out I jumped the gun on one of the Jellys I thought was a failed germination and now have 2 of them in it lol
Gonna end up culling one of them, not sure which yet they both look exactly the same.
LSD1 is looking a little funky super weird leaf formations but im not too worried gonna grow it out anyways. Ironically the fastest to sprout and furthest along is the ATF 2 pheno seed from my last grow. Like a massive difference its actually pretty crazy. One of the Gary Paytons is the next closest in size while everyone else is still pretty small.
Removed solo cup covers and added the humidifier to tent, temps were getting a little too high under the cup pushing 85+ so will see how temps and humidity settle out overnight and report back tomorrow
Welcome back. I was on a 4 month break . U need to once in awhile to clear the head .9 plants is a good way to get back in the swing of things . Go big or go home 👍
