Enclosed porch but I’m going to get a grow tent as soon as I get some more cash lol my auto flower is starting to stink so a few more weeks it will be skunkified.

Until you get a tent stick to the auto flowers because they don’t care about light cycles it’s kinda the same principle behind green house in the winter

Im going to start germination today with the paper towel method. Anyone got any words of wisdom? I’m nervous 😆

I can help you with direct sow. The paper towel works as well. Just a higher chance (in my opinion) to screw of the tap root but fumbling it. Good luck!

I want to place in a rockwood plug… should I paper towel first? I’ve got them in shot glasses in water in my dark weed cabinet. Growers choice suggested a soaking of seeds for like 12 hours first then continue with your germination. Do the shells really need that long or do I wait for them to sink is all?

I’ve never really used the cup and water method i usually do the paper towel or straight to soil if you doing the the paper towel method the there is two schools of thought one is as soon as you see a tap root put them in the soil about 1/4 to 1/8 inch deep and cover but don’t pack the other is let the tap root grow a little bit almost to the point of the shell about to fall off use a pen or skinny stick and make a hole as long as the tap root with the seed pod on top and cover the tap root and depend if the shell is off or you can see a little bit of green leaf don’t cover if you can’t see it the light sprinkle dirt on the top. If humidity is low you can use a dome or you can put direct in the soil or peet pod and moisten the soil at the seed and wait again you can use a dome if needed

Isn’t this crazy my friend whom I had to babysit his banjo (planted outside) said this about the towel method I tried per growers choice guarantee… “Yeah I never do that. I put them in a damp towel in the fridge for a week to 10 days actually then I bring them out let them get up to room temperature, then into terrarium few hours lid on, few off, so I don't cook them. Take me like 15 to 20 days maybe for starters but when they're ready the roof is huge and almost ALWAYS they take to soil immediately and have grow like mad” What’s with the fridge? Anyone do that before? And if so what’s the purpose?

Plant as soon as you see tap root. Less chances of it flipping around in the dirt. Atleast for me if I wait any longer that's when I usually have problems with them breaking etc

I’m glad you said this cause I decided the same thing that there would be more changes I’d break the root and harder to handle with my dropsy numb hands. Luckily the two are in without a hitch about 4 hours ago. Thanks so much

Is this a pure CBD strain or a 1:1? I sometimes have an adverse reaction to THC. It really depends. At times it makes me really anxious, and I have had panic attacks after smoking before. I think as Ive gotten older my brain chemistry has changed a bit. I want to try a 1:1 strain and see if the addition of CBD will help to reduce this. But when I have tried just CBD in the past, it doesn't do anything at all. So I'm a bit torn.. I know a 1:1 with say 10%:10% will produce a THC high, I just wonder if the 2 will actually work together. I have little experience with this. I have some 1:1 strains.. I just wish I could find some 1:1 bud to try this theory. But you have to grow it. Then you have to worry about phenotypes. If I just popped one seed, it may be a pheno that say, has no CBD, or no THC. Not sure if I want to dedicate an entire grow to a pack of these seeds.. lol, but it may be the only way to know.

It’s called Ringo’s Gift from Growers choice. I think it has less than 1% thc. But I’m sure they have something that is both? Check them out. I’m new at growing everything 😆 But as a person in extreme pain nearly everyday I like to mix CBD flower and thc together when I make edibles (or cook with infused mct oil) and I can do my own ratios between the two. I do know if I smoked too much I always smoke some CBD after and it cuts that head high very well.

Interesting. I may have to try some CBD flower. I could always mix it as I roll it and seee how it feels. Growing is a fun, frustrating, but lovely experience all at the same time. I'm pretty sure you'll fall in love with it. Even if I totally stoped smoking, is still grow cannabis just because it's such a beautiful plant. It has specific needs. But once you get your bearings it's pretty easy to fix any issue that may arise.
