Grow Timeline (35 updates)
Got 2 Ztrawberriez in rapid rooters in a seedling tray in my Grubhub pizza bag (fuck you gruhub and uber for disabling my account). Really excited about this because now I understand how it’s suppose to go, I’ve learned so much because of this community during the growth of Pine, and while she’s finishing up, it’s on to new strains!!
Cotyledons have emerged, berrieZ needs a new environment to thrive in so I adjusted the temp and rotated the humidity cap. Pine is finishing up, I’ll have her drying duriying soon. Berriez will be switched into the main tent when Pine starts the curing process.
God damn…. Over night the root came out the bottom. I notice leaf drooping and took my light out the tent to give it proper lighting (PPFD). Trying to maintain the environment through a heating pad, and misting the dome. Currently have the humidifier running in the grow room so it’s not operating inside the grow tent (drying tent) so I can’t use that for the Ztrawberriez. Going to grab plain coco and mix som perlite into a nursery cup and transplant.
Process sounds solid 🪨
Thank you growmigo
Observations: Notice leaf droop still, I did transplant the rooter into nursery cups. Plant overall height is 2 inches from the top of the medium. Holding RH and temp as best as I can while pine is drying.
They're stretching dude. They want more light.
Noticed that, I was using some desk led light at the time. Once I transplanted I used photone and the clip diffuser and got a better ppfd reading and lowered the light to get roughly ~200 ppfd at 22”. The one plant actually started to pray.
Ztrawberriez #1 was first to sprout, and first to completely fall out of my clumsy hands and completely out the nusery pot. Not nice! But twice! Watered both with the same solution as before but ml around the area of the rapid rooter. My Royal Gold Tupur soil also came in the mail. So that’s that. Waiting on the final pots and rh packs for curing.

LFG!!!!!
Is that a bruise on your finger? Or just a smudge? I hope dirt because that looks like it hurts..... Nice baby too!!😁
Lmao no, the aftermath of me picking up my sons markers before bed time and he didn’t put any of the caps on
I'll take uncapped markers over finger falling off any day!!!
Lmao without a doubt
We are further along in the grow. Bottom wick action started today. I’ve topped watered but today it drank from the bottom so I assume roots have gotten further down and spread out somewhat. Auopot easy2go coming soon to replace the bottom wick trays. First grow in coco, plants seem healthy as I figure when it’s appropriate to water 😂 noticed some auxiliary sites developing along with the 4th nodes.
Day 3 using AutoPots Easy2GO. Trying to see if I slowed growth at some point, the comparison shots from the camera from yesterday into today show some growth. Just maintaininy pH to 5.8 until the res is empty. Then I’ll mix in week 4 nutrients into the res.
Update: Did some LST.
Did some LST training, first grow I started way too late. This time I started when they both were able. These ac infinity pots have higher side ways, and when I fist watered and the soil settled lower than I initially had it, something to note in my future grows. With that being said, I drilled breathing holes in my tray to provide air to the roots, and to prevent humidity and pressure under the panda film. This time I have my plants leaning back with bottom nodes exposed to light. Let’s see how the next days go, going into week 4 these babies should begin stretching
Did a new light installe, Mars Hydro FC-3000 EVO. Res emptied and I added week 4, light feed off the Gh Flora sierra feed schedule. Redid Lst with galavanized garden staples.
Last upload I have my feed mix, I just simply added 7ml more cal mag. Will observe the next few days.
Soil is so irregular, there is just so many variables.
Definitely defiance give it so e cal mag
I’m pretty much forced at this point to stand back and watch what happens, I’m not sure if it’s a calmag and coco issue with that specific pot or it’s early transplant root stress. I forget which one but the soil broke up as I was transplanting. Not a lot but it split from the rapid rooter prior. The entire grow the leaves were fine on the second to this node and then slowly in my pics you can see it degrade. From my little knowledge, when the plant ramps up on late veg, it draws more water and nutrients, which I witnessed by checking the res daily, I think it pulled nutrients from those sets of leaves, or they just bore the brunch force of the plants hunger and couldn’t sustain it. Either way, I fucked it up even more last night doing LST and snapped the top node. I got a new post explaining how I beat both op ts to shit lmao
Sorry to ramble, but yea, I’m not to coco, and so far it’s definitely something I’d stick to going forth over soil, my new growth shows I am treating them well, I just keep accidentally cutting and bruing while doing LST lol.
That’s what I thought! lol, I added some into the res just in case it was that, to be safe.
Yeah ur totally right added with the transplant shock understandable on having sit back and see how she does I had to do that with the autoflower is missed the period u could lst and fucked myself on that
Autos hold grudges lol. I’m hopping mine will forgive me.
Shit I gave my auto a Lil too much nutrition one time and I caught it in time and she forgave me and u can see she is rewarding me pretty good if u look at the new pics I just posted
They definitely don't stop for us to catch up with them. It's weird you mention the rapid rooter. Ive used it here recently and coincidentally had a couple rough starts similar to what you have. I stopped using it and lowered the ppm but only thought the ppm was the fix. 🤔
🤷🏽♂️
Maaan top them thick mf's. They dont want to bend over 😭
Lmaooo I might let that one go, I don’t think I can fix it. Was really trying to let but let the plant mature without any topping. Welp. 😂
HST at this point bro 😆
Unintentionally lol, gonna see how this plays out
Good luck 👍🏿
Thanks growmie, I ended up topping the one lol. So one topped, and one main stem with one fan leaf. This my second grow in a medium I never used before so we’ll see.
Haha nice! Can't wait to see what she does! Coco perlite it's pretty easy just make sure shes fed every watering
Starting tomorrow morning. And night. After lights on and before lights off. Possibly mid day. I’ll upload cam shots of my plants and see how they progress daily.
I am updating the export feature right now to be much better, so this will probably look awesome when it’s completed 👍
08:22 - Noticed the brown spotting is spreading upward, mobile nutrient issue. Which presents a new issue to solve because both pots sit in the same tray, and get the same feed. So figuring the solution out will be interesting. Possible nutrient lockout, root stress, high EC and plant training combo? Will check res water temp, and ph. And then I’ll check the tray water temp as well to see if the water is warming since installing the mars hydro FC-3000 EVO.
16:56 - Had took the plants out the tray, EC and ph was off, flushed both and ran runoff check. Ph and EC was off. Probably due to the usage of the tray and standing water causing the nutrient mix to just absorb
And mix with the salt I assume. Anywho. I’m kinda feel like leaving them be, I mean they are growing. So that’s the confusing part. I guess I’ll flush. Gotta rethink the tray thing.
23:33 - Not sure what else to do, now we wait and see. Easy2go is turned off for now until soil dry back a little.
What’s your PH at?
I’ve been keeping my res at 5.8 pH. But the runoff was at 6.6-6.7, not sure why, th EC and ppm is higher which I assume from salt build up. The tray water sat and I guess mixed with residual salt in the medium that hadn’t dried. I assume salt accumulated at the 1” of soil that was in tray water.
0800 - 18:24 : Haven’t touched either plant since yesterday, managed to drop the PPM and EC abut before I stopped completely flushin. I poured a lot, and even though this royal gold tupur coco coir drains very easily, it’s holding the moisture so imma hold off for now. Don’t want to drown it, even though this medium is hard to overwater or nearly impossible, I’m using caution. Also not really motivated to do much, personal things are making it harder to give the plants the attention it needs.
👊🏻
0800 - going to try and check res ph, before letting it loose. I’ll shut it off before the tray gets full to prevent sitting water.
19:30 - Got home, checked on the plant, plant seems compact. But eh, my fault, LST method wasn’t a good one, trial and error. The tray was empty when I got home, so the coco absorbed it and the plant is being reintroduced to the feed since I havnt seen a deficiency progression.
0000 - picture taken at midnight. Will check in the morning.
Due to possibly having to access the plants for certain things, I decided to remove the trellis lol. Went back to ties.
If you use the cheap string nets you can net it and cut what you want for access if that helps you.
Shit, that’s a good idea
I don't use them, I like wire because I can completely shape them. It's all preference and time management right. I'm always looking for efficiency.
I always wondered though, most people use the wire your talking about, my grow kit came with this bungee ones, I just suck at LST, I get lost trying to navigate what branch on the branch can fit without crossing another branch 🤣
I know what your saying, I started the zskittle flowering a day after I pinched a bunch of branches. I got buds stacked next to each other next to other buds. The couple I mainlined it was easy to manipulate the 4 branches and you just grow the inside branches, keeping them higher than the 4 mains.
Been feeding this plant a diluted mix to counter the salt lockout I caused. I’m assuming my mix was way too hot. I got up toward a EC of 2.0, but I think my DIY system needs to be tweaked first. Steady growth showing, plant is recovering, Berry #2 is still outgrowing Berry #1. I have also noticed the roots of these 2 are actually protruding out the sides of the fabric pots 👀which is a good sign of life progressing ! Light LST, reduced light intensity as well.
Changed the res feed around midnight and then checked and noted the EC and ppm to track how the plants are aborning the nutrients. Defoliated and lollipoped, plant is responding well to my fixes so I’m feeling better about this grow, changed out the panda film because i noticed it wasn’t protecting the tray as much, since I don’t have a capillary mat the water is exposed to light somewhat. So the new panda film protects 90% of the tray water. Also drilled bigger holes in the side of the mixing tray for pot and water aeration. Weill observe the growth the next couple days to see if the plants are bouncing back and redistributing energy to the bud site.
Note: I took a picture of Ztrawberriez #2’s stem, way thicker than my pine. This plant is strong.
So I re-introduced the trellis net for Ztrawberriez #2, i bent the apical stem but it bounced back and another stem is now the same height, the roots are exploding out the side of the fabric put meanwhile Ztrawberriez #1 is short specifically after being topped by accident on purpose, roots not explosive on this one, there is a 200 PPFD difference between the two plants top nodes, with the ztrawberriez # 2 being 750+ PPFD. I’m open to any suggestions with my layout to even out the canopies, but I think the height difference is making that impossible and so ztrawberriez #1 might end up being just a Larf plant or mid
Havnt posted much, a lot of personal things going on, plus work. Thankfully the diy autopot is running as intended, plants have been responding, I’ve just been adjusting the net as growth continues. Was thinking of starting another run for a perpetual grow, but I’m in the process of moving so I am not sure.
So far I’ve fed her a steady 1.2 EC this week. Going to change the res feeds and bum to 1.35 EC. The bigger plant, the roots are exploding out the bottom of the pot, the smaller one not so much. The smaller one seems to transpirating A LOT. So I’ll have to figure that out since it’s screwing with the environment.
Put it on another pot of soil. 😂
It’s too late now 😂😂 the one is already at the last 1-2 maybe 3 weeks lol. Imma post a pic today or so. I havnt been active online much these me days. Gonna smoke and check out yours and others grows lol.

I just finished jaring the blue zishi mix and got 130grams. Small plant but my best run so far.
I can actually see and feel the different going from my 150 to 300w. Nugs are way bigger than my first plant, more dense too.
How’s the tricombs looking?
Gonna post some pics today, phone broke 2 days ago. lol crazy week. I can’t seem to message people though.

Again, not my intention for the grow to go this way, and unfortunately I will be taking a break from growing as I prepare to move. But damn, I fucked this grow up and she stil turned out good so far, let’s hope it finishes strong.
Your getting it figured out tho!!! Looking good.
I finally fucking stopped over obsessing over it 😂. Funny enough, I just left it tf alone and only checked on it. And fed it, after I went manic on defoliated and all types of craziness.
Ey that's how you learn brodi. An she will
Nice Job Mate, fucking awesome!
Appreciate it, definitely learned a lot. Thought I learned first time but there’s so much to learn.
Thanks man, next time I’m shooting for better. I think I found my favorite method to grow
That's what's it's about :-)
It be like that. Coming from a guy that fucked up two runs in a row and just overwatered my plants😅 You could be a farmer your entire life and grow this plant for 10+ years but still find ways to fuck it all up.
Absolutely got a valid point lol. I’ve seen plenty of them content creators with mistakes in Grows, they’re mad nonchalant about it lol
So looking at this plant Calyx’s, I think and I observe slight fox tailing I noticed this last week and so I did eventually lower my light intensity from 85% to 50% and raising the light about 2 inches higher to project ~900 - 1K PPFD on the bud sites closest to the light. I’m wondering if it’s too late for these things to finish with a golf ball issue look to the Calyx’s or is it too late being that I probably have a week left before it’s done to reverse the fox tailing look?
I say you’re still a couple weeks out but for the foxtailing I wouldn’t worry about it to much as long as your temps are down to 70-75. Most strains do well around 600-800 PPFD anymore then you need co2. What’s your light height and how many watts is your light?
Looking good!👍
Yea that’s the issue I uncovered was that I blasted them with 1200 and my grow tent is situation in a closet lol. I noticed the diffference when I upgraded my phone, I use Photone with the clip diffuser and dropped the ppfd and lights etc. using the mars hydro fc 3000 ev
Thanks bro 🙏🏽
I feel it is time to flush, I’m seeing mostly cloudy, some amber turning in, and some glass so I feel it’s ripening or at least I could harvest it now, but I want the hybrid feel I got with my Pine on the last grow so I’ll flush now and wait it out. Res was empty when I woke.
Harvest the plant some odd weeks ago, I haven’t really wanted to post much or anything, really not in a good space to be honest, the plant is beautiful, she smells beautiful, currently curing some testers, and a whole shit ton I didn’t expect to have almost done the dry cycle. Love you all, stay lifted growmies, I’ll be back 🙏🏽
One love. Mental health matters.
Appreciate it bro, it definitely is. One of those things I take seriously.
I will be making some sort of video on this grow, I had spoke about it before but this time I will make the effort. For now, this is how my grow ended. I pre harvested some buds to reduce the humidity crisis, pre dried and cured those. The rest finished drying today. I harvest just in time, trichomes and terps preserved well, not a hay smell in sight, the buds smell gassy, fruity and citrusy all at once, the smoke translation was minimal so I say she wil be ready by 4/20 for sure. I estimate roughly anywhere between a quarter to 2 quarters of a pound I grew… which is insane because I thought I fucked the whole thing up.
