Not sure if i did it at the right time for sure but it has been at least 8 weeks with no signs of amber but all the trichomes were cloudy and pistels were all orange it smells good and looks good

So if you like the effects of the end product then you harvested at a fine time. The reason you wait for amber is so you know the majority were cloudy. Basically amber trichomes mean they’re breaking down into Cannibinol (CBN) from tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and is the big factor in that “couch lock” effect. I myself prefer to harvest right at the beginning of amber, at the 5 percent or even a little less mark because I do not like the heavy couch lock associated with CBN.

Kind of going off this last comment... Harvesting cannabis when the trichomes are completely clear means you are harvesting prematurely. Because the resin glands are still in their early, glassy development stage, the final product will have significantly lower potency and, in many cases, a "speedy" or anxious effect. To avoid these issues, most growers wait until the trichomes turn from clear to milky/cloudy (indicating peak THC) or have a mix of milky and amber (for a more sedative, body-high effect). So if you don't wanna get high much harvest when clear. Wanna get the best effect harvest when cloudy/milky Wanna get stupid stoned wait for about 30-50% amber

If they were all milky then u ok . When u get 10-20% amber that will be more of a sedative effect & the THC is degrading. U be ok . Back in the day we only had the pistils to go by . As long as u happy with it that all that really matters. Just be patient with the dry . Slow & steady dry & u be good 👍

👍 can’t wait to smoke it and see the fruits of the labor

Not all strains flower in 8 weeks some strains flower process takes up to 14 weeks and when they turn clear to amber it happens over night but keep going she is absolutely beautiful

Thanks for giving the beginning side too! I didn’t want my comment to be too wordy so I just said my preferred harvest time frame.
