Grow Timeline (5 updates)
this is from plant A , this pheno has dark purple leaves & has close to 10 days left , this was first time growing anything from LIT & the other pheno has the dark green leaves
so you going 8 weeks of flower
was around 9 weeks . it an outdoor plant & was close to getting bud rot. pods at the stems were turning brownish & rather risk losing entire crop chopped top half . the other pheno is handling the high humidity a lot better .
main attraction in your back yard π
unfortunately this strain extremely prone to bud rot . this strain wasnβt the best especially this one phenotype. was very prone to bud rot so I chopped top half little earlier then I wanted . other pheno so far is ok . genetics was LIT & they have been known to be on the shady side from what I heard .thanks for the compliment. canβt wait to get the indoor garden back up after all outside plants done drying . how everything going by u ?
pretty good, I'm running 6 plants in 1 gal pots as my 2nd experiment. Learning the difference with soil and water pH is my biggest struggle. got another grow in a 2x4 with (2) Dirty Bird Strains and (1) Sugar Cane in 5 gal pots. Also did my 1st successful clone from the main stalk I cut off the sugar cane. It was a beast of a piece.
what your grow style organic or synthetic? I grow mostly synganic & I like my soil PH around 6.2 . when using synthetic nutrients there is a mixing order that a lot of people donβt realize. these things can throw PH off . I use a RV water filter hooked up to my house so i starting out with my water at PH7 & with most hydro synthetic it will end up at 5.9 so i raise it to 6.2 . sometimes u might need to adjust the nutrient mix . If the soil has a higher PH then u might need to keep the nutrient mix PH little lower . U need to have a tea good PH meter & keep it calibrated.
I have the AC infinity hydro meter. I'm learning how to use it and why on a daily basis. my current setups are a soil coco mix. older plants pots have more soil and less coco. those are typically the one I have soil pH issues with. the newer have more coco and less soil. I accidentally added nutes to an already fertilized soil mix. screwed me all to hell with my 1st grow.
I am treating every grow as an experiment. the 1st grow I tested how much stress I could add to a plant before it hermed. it wasn't intentional but I did find that those specific plants could take some abuse before herming. π
some genetics can handle more then others & also has a lot to do with stability . fun doing experiments with the plants .
what PH u going for in the coco ? if I doing straight coco I like it between 5.9-6.1 . I usually will do a coco & pro mix combo & ill PH around 6.2 . seems to work best for me . How u like that meter ?
yes, I'm enjoying it almost as much as the finished product. I just need to keep working on slowing down, being more, accurate, and just letting them grow. problem is I am running everything slightly different. everythings needs are different. I have been able to use it to learn more about feedings and watering. still not patient enough to let them dry out all the way yet.
I hear ya , we always want to be doing something in the garden . growing is addictive
who would have thunk, gardening πΆβπ«οΈ. did you say that out loud. that's not masculine enough.
what do you do for pest control on your outside grow. New to this and try different things. inside and outside grow
I like to switch up my sprays . I basically use neem oil . I will use a product from Build-A-Soil called WDG-3000 for a soil drench that kills fungus gnats . itβs expensive $50 for 8 oz bag . u can use mosquitoe bits. I also make my own pesticide using peppermint , mint , Thyme & Rosemary. thing with pesticides is the bugs can adapt that why I rotate em out .
my green crack is in early stage of flower so now I wonβt spray the leaves just add soil drench to keep soil area clean . must spray at dusk only . if u spray in the day with sun or lights on u will fry the plant
