Grow Timeline (16 updates)

I transplanted the few ladies, one more to go. New light, is working amazingly, very pleased. Slight yellowing on one girl. Any thoughts as to why? Is it because they are all different strains and react different the Soil? I checked the Soil and temperature, they are perfect. I just recieved my new digital humidity reader. And the soil tester. Everything looks great.

itβs just the first true leaves. maybe use epsom salt instead of coffee grounds. I donβt see any deficiency. donβt panic
a half a teaspoon in a 1/2 gal water. let it dry out, only be watering ever 3rd or 4th day.
Thank you! I appreciate the input. I was starting to panic π I had read it could be stress from underwater ingredients also. Which I was doing, I tend to over water. I finally got a ph meter and I'm hoping a humidifier will help me with my bad water tendencies. I love when people comment on my plants and give me advice. I appreciate it a bunch!
what soil are u using?
hi there I'm used Fox Farm Soil. Smarted them in that soil and transplanted in the Soil. Possible Soil burn? What are your thoughts?
possible. fox farm is going to have all the nutrients u need especially for the beginning. if u look at my grow, thatβs what I used too. I didnβt add any kind of nutes until 30 days after transplant. the only thing I would add is Molasses once every two weeks. Thatβs just helping feed the microbes.
so yeah in a two gallon fabric pot like u have Iβd only be watering 1/4 gal every 3-4 days. just plain water. after 30 days from transplant, I would pick up Fox Farm Grow Bigg nutrients and start using that. Nutrients should only be added to ur water once a week.
also ur humidity needs to be closer to 50%-60% and ur veg temps should be closer to 80 degrees Fahrenheit but no warmer than 83 degrees Fahrenheit. your flower temps will be 75 degrees Fahrenheit to no warmer than 78Β°F

Today, I added a differnt second fan. I used it to replace another fan. The fan I had on one side was very heavy, and a bit bulky. It's rechargeable with a light, but it only would run on low for maybe 6 hrs tops. Definitely a pain to keep charging and no room for another plug in. I replaced it with a second Aerowave clip, vivosun fan from Amazon. I have two now and I like those ones.
I do wonder if my plants should be bigger for being around 7 weeks.
My big fat kitten knocked over three of the seedlings onto the carpet. And those three seem to be growing slower I've noticed.
In a couple days I'll have a tent humidifier going and I hope that will help my watering be less.
I am disabled and I'm growing for chronic pain and depression. I just want to be able to save money this year so much. I have two teen boys that eat me out of house and home. And food comes before weed. I go without often in exchange.
I think it's stressing me out a little rn because I'm depending on this to work and it's my first official grow. Keeping my fingers crossed and a green thumb. π€π€π±

Humidity time of photo.
check your VPD for veg I use 80 degrees f and 85% humidity with great results they love it like a jungle. just a suggestion. π€
Thank you! Will do, I appreciate all suggestions and advice π

I bottom watered two and top watered two. I want to see if there's a difference between the growth. Just curious.
And I didn't think the one little girl was going to make it. Plants are pretty resilient. And the two different green coloring on that one, shows promise.
how much water are u using estimate for just one plant? what kind of water are u using? are u checking the ph balance?

I don't want to top. I know it would increase yield and more branching out. but since my tent isnt very large. I'm hoping for more upward growth, then out. Any suggestions appreciated
how big is your tent? I'm running 4 , 5 gallon in a 3x3, I'll probably regret it later.
I would really recommend topping. the most limiting factor you are going to deal with is height. even when you top you could have height issue. if you don't top you'll get the upward growth but you'll have to move your light up too. so all the lower branches won't get the light they need. the sun is 400 million miles away. an extra 3 feet is nothing. your light is 1 foot away. 3 feet is massive difference. another reason we top indoors is better utilization of light. even with the best lights it pales in comparison to the sun *edit just saw it was an auto. depending on how far along is if I'd top or not. other option you have it to supercrop when it gets too tall.
I'm in a 2x2 growing 4 autos and I'm just bending them over to expose the areas that need to branch out so I have an even canopy and also just training the plants to go a certain way instead of just up. I haven't topped but I have removed leafs. not a lot just some I think the plant doesn't need.
SCROG it. It'll be the easiest way to perform LST. Just put a trellis above it and tuck all new growth. YouTube has tons of videos for your reference.
Nice! I'm flowering out a mainline in my 2x2x4.

Are you growing in soil or coir?
hi there! strictly soil for these Auto girls. My other two I have germinating will have both soil and bushdoctor. Anything you recommend? Use or tips?
Try raising your pH to at least 6.2. That's where optimal nitrogen uptake begins in soil based grows. if you're using Fox Farms, I recommend 6.2pH to start off the veg cycle and wean it to 6.5 to prepare for flowering. fron there I want my final pH at the upper spectrum if around 6.8-7.0. That will harden the branches by optimizing silica uptake & flower bulking agents such as phosphorus & potassium. Once you "master" knowing your nutes optima pHl levels and lighting you can steer your grows. It's an incredible tool for slowing down, speeding up or just cruising your grows to the finish line. For example, I would run 5.8pH to slow down nitrogen uptake to keep them "stunted" with as little red and blue spectrum (PAR) as possible while still maintaining proper DLI. If and when I start to notice deficiencies, I will return them to optimal levels to allow them to bounce back. Rinse and repeat as needed. Until Attachments in the comment section are restored, here's a link for optimal nutrient uptake chart for each nute for soil. https://images.app.goo.gl/LmEpK5vx8stiwdFP9 However, Your pH is perfect for a coir/hydro setup. That's why I was asking in the first place. Your plants will grow quicker and more vibrant. Good luck, and feel free to reach out with questions or check out my grows. I got lots of tips and tricks for soil based grows. BUCKEYE LOVE!
Having said all that, barring the one you called out, they all look lush and green! Keep up the good work!

Is this my girls, showing they are girls? My large Auto is showing this small hairy looking areas. please tell me it isn't budding so soon!
Close up pictures of my Ak47. Auto. 7 weeks old. Indoor grow tent. Full spectrum light. The middle sized two, are Death Star Auto. Are they budding??? First grow. thanks π
when the tap root reaches the bottom it usually induces flowering. try bigger pots with lots of depth. should veg much longer. just my thoughts. π
some of those look like they are starting to flower. why are they all wet? you're going to want to dry up those puddles on the leaves so they don't burn and you definitely don't want to get water on the buds later in flower or they'll get moldy pretty quick on you
I've never done many autos but like @six says... autos need a large pot right away, i read to not try and transplant autos but to just plant them in a large forever home right away. @glitch has some great advice here also. the second and 3rd pic definitely show signs of females... small white pistils. male parts look like little seeds and will be pretty obvious when you do finally see them. you need to watch for them during flower also. my Future #1 is in week 4 flower and I've found a few namers (male parts) I've very carefully taken them off trying to not pollinate anything else. keep up the good work, looking good π
That makes a lot of sense. Thank you! That has helped me understand! I need bigger and deeper pots!
Yes! thank you! That's a great observation. And honestly I knew that once upon a time. I never watered my veggies during mid day because it burnt the leaves. It wasn't connecting for these. lol. I appreciate the reminder!
Thank you! I would agree also. It's really helpful advice! I just planted my Garlie Locks. In my second grow. And I think I did a little better. Hopefully lol

i did that to my girls yesterday removed Polen sack off my auto
like they said autos do much better in final containers. if worried about overwatering u can use the jiffy pots or the root cubes . these are nice cause they go right into the medium. also use product called superthrive helps with transplant shock .
donβt use any banana peels in your medium, only use it in compost . it wonβt break down & it will just attract pests . also bananas are for potassium. u can use the peels in a compost tea mix . lots of recipes

Just some photos. Feeling so tired today from my anemia, I am just posting a few pics for a quick update
two are flowering
I think you might be showing slight signs of deficiency... using calmag?
Unfortunately no. I don't have any right now. I had used some used coffee grounds earlier and that helped the leaves fill and turn more green. I'm using a very little amount of silica and today made it and some coffee grounds into a foliage spray. Short term fix. They are a bit over watered. and the are a tad too alkaline. If this makes any improvements, I'll share any and all results. but I totally agree some calmag would be super helpful
Getting some magnesium from Epsom salt, silica, cal mag and Iron. but not much. I don't want to overload. I worry about nute lock out. and this late in the game. I don't want that at all.
My little frost Bolt Auto, I thought I might lose. is now very large on the bottom right. Leaves are larger then my hand. They are heavy.
I'm checking for an ambering of the triccomes and autumning of the leaves hasn't happened. Any thoughts or suggestions?
my pictures won't load. Ive tried a few times.

I haven't been able to get my photos to upload. I have two in flower. Dropped the humidity to 55. was on 65.

Whatβs happening when youβre trying to share your photo ?
go back and edit the post and add via gallery once I di this it fixed my issues and I was able to post again
Smells dank and is very sticky! hope that's all good! Drying now and than curing.
try marking this Grow as done to see if that helps with the button not showing. maybe check your spam email as well. Iβve tried to contact you to help.

those are some interesting containers!
Yes. Not my usual. π€£ They are self watering little pots. I moved recently and didn't have any others on hand. They all have been transplanted to cloth grow pots but one. Thank goodness
