well as long as the runt is gonna grow nodes and be a normal plant I’m all right with smaller. I have more super silver haze I can start to replace it if it doesn’t take off, but I think it’ll be okay.

Definitely wait to feed , if u using soil with nutrients u be good for 4-5 weeks.. seedlings have food stored in them in there embryo. U be ok , not bad

I understand that, but I’m using Gaia green slow release fertilizer and reused soil. Meaning I mixed the food with the soil before ever sowing the seed. Only other thing I could have done was top dress them instead of premixing it because I have bad experience transplanting autos even a single time.

could of flushed/ rinsed the soil then tested. an personally with autos if I did em I wouldn't transplant or prune at anytime. only thing I'd do is a lil lst because of that

I mix my own soil and use gaia green. No top dress until week 3 or later. If you "layer" your soil and nutrients in your pot before hand, there is plenty of food available till then. I swear by gaia green. Use it everytime.

That’s literally what I said on the transplant, and I do prune because I tested pruned vs unpruned autos and got a huge yield with the pruned compared to an average with the unpruned. Same strain only difference was defoliation. But my first autos I learned not to transplant them at all

Yeah see this is my first time trying Gaia green, and my thought was to premix it into the soil, and obviously that’s a mistake. Next time I’m gonna only top dress and see how it goes. I appreciate the advice and I will test it and see if layering like that works well for me, but I definitely prefer to test everything on a single plant or two before I commit on a full grow. Which is what I’m kicking myself for with the Gaia green in general. No testing just jumped full boar into it.

so you pruned that auto with no problems? lol idk I believe it but I'd be scared especially if only on 34 or 5 node that's abit small

Oh I see i mixed up my words that ones on me. I defoliated not pruned sorry about that. I never do any HST to my autos, but I do do lots and lots of LST to them

Well I very obviously don’t know everything, but I’m doing mostly autos since they finish faster , so if nothing else you can always keep an eye on mine and learn from my mistakes. Maybe save a plant or two of your own when you get em started.

Not a mistake to mix in it at all! This is the recipe im using right now and my auto is LOVING IT! this is my first time mixing it into the soil before hand. I've always just done topdressing before this grow. I'm only on day 32ish right now and my girl is doing better than any other I've had at this stage. All with the same nutes everything, just administered differently this time.

Here’s how I’d rebuild and layer your 5-gallon pot for balanced, time-released feeding: --- 🔹 Step 1: Prep the Base Mix Break up your old ProMix HP and remove old roots. Then, for each pot, blend roughly: 70% reused ProMix HP 20% worm castings 10% perlite (optional, for drainage if the mix feels dense) Moisten lightly so it’s workable — not soggy. --- 🔹 Step 2: Amend the Base Mix (bulk nutrients) To that total base, mix in: 2 tbsp Gaia Green All Purpose (4-4-4) 2 tbsp Gaia Green Power Bloom (2-8-4) 1 tbsp bone meal 1 tsp langbeinite (for K, Mg, S) 1 tbsp worm castings (extra for microbe boost) This is your general “root zone” nutrition — mild enough for autos, but enough to feed for 3–4 weeks. --- 🔹 Step 3: Build the Layers Now fill the pot in layers like this: Bottom Layer (hot zone, slow release) Bottom 1.5–2 inches of soil Mix in: 1 tbsp Gaia Green Power Bloom ½ tbsp bone meal ½ tsp langbeinite Light dusting of dolomite lime (¼ tsp) 👉 This feeds the plant mid–late flower as roots reach deeper. --- Middle Layer (main root zone) Fill the middle 60% with your base mix from Step 2. This will carry veg through early flower. --- Top Layer (seedling zone, gentle) Top 2 inches = plain ProMix HP with just: ½ tbsp Gaia Green All Purpose A sprinkle of worm castings 👉 Keeps seedlings safe from burn while roots establish. --- 🔹 Step 4: Recharge & Moisture Management Water with Recharge (microbial inoculant) at ¼ tsp per gallon every 7–10 days. First few waterings: plain water only, then Recharge. Top-dress with 1 tbsp Gaia Bloom + 1 tbsp Gaia Veg around week 3–4 when you see pre-flower.

I don't believe so. This is my second time reusing this current soil and it's doing fantastic. My "mentor" if you want to call them that has been using the same soil for over 3 years now. You will lose a small amount from your root ball every run. So I just top her off with a tiny bit of fresh soil before the mix. I also mix more than I need, in case of heavy settling after saturation sometimes you lose an inch or two. This mix also needs to "brew" for about a week to break down the macro nutrients.

That was actually an accident. It it’s a mix of small 2 gallon pots, and not filling them enough. The girls didn’t have enough room to really grow.

Ah. Well I like them small like that lol. I'm using 2 gallon pots this time as well so maybe mine will be kind of short to. I only have like 3-4ft of space height wise.

That makes sense. Well I’d almost say try 1 gallon pots and see if that does it for you too.

Maybe potassiumand phosphorus deficiency? She is in flower so she may have a higher need for that.

She definitely has a higher need for it. But she was fed the recommended amount of Gaia green 2-8-4 so it shouldn’t be. I will do some looking and see but the others are just as far along and have no issues. Thank you for the reply I appreciate the help. I’ll let you know what it ends up being. edit: there are others in the tent aside from what you can see in the pic and 5 of them are as far along. then obviously have seedlings and late veg in the tent too.

I know PH is good as I calibrate my pen very often and check every single watering. I believe from my short bit of research it’s potassium deficiency for sure. What should I do about that? I don’t want a harsh smoke because I fed too late and couldn’t flush but I also don’t want her to finish poorly and not be potent.

I think your right on potassium deficiency. Still not 100 percent but that’s what my 10 minutes of research so far have told me

What Ph do you have when you water?

I let it drift between 6.2 and 6.8 because I know different nutrients are brought in at slightly different PH’s

I don't feel so bad about my tiny autos lol .I have one producing now tho I learn to direct sow And I lay my autos down with landscaping staple only way I can get them to produce. My big gush is producing tho .gushers plushers x magic cookies by roc bud yep that's doing good .don't ever get grease gun or wedding cake auto wedding cake small grease gun turns out like larf just so loose it's unreal but good orange spice candy with some dank good smoke grease gun but larf city

Interesting. Honestly I’ve never had too big of an issue with small autos not producing. Like my plants stayed small this time because they were in too small of pots. I’m fixing that issue now, but I still think I’ll end up with 4 or 5 ounces off these 6 plants so I can’t complain.

It all depends on what kinda high you want...the more cloudy they are..that's more of a head high...the more amber the more of a body high...if that makes any sense...cloudy will give you that couch lock feeling

That is true, but I’m not a fan of the amber effects. I’m more concerned with if there’s enough clear. But you are normally correct.

You’ve got it off a little friend. Amber is couch lock feeling. Clear is an anxious feeling, cloudy is a nice mixed feeling. But I don’t know if she’s cloudy enough. Definitely enough amber for me but I am worried there’s still too much clear and am just not sure.

Only just learning about the differences in high based on the colour of trichome. Now I have to go reading more haha

Here i got you friend. So clear trichomes are when THC is in production but not at peak. Its usually associated with a more anxious feeling. When they get cloudy it’s when THC is at its peak. It’s a nice balanced high. When they go amber the THC starts breaking down into CBN. It’s usually associated with a heavy body high “couch lock” kind of feeling. Obviously every strain is a little different but those are general rules to follow. My issue is this plant is clear and amber which is why I’m thinking after talking to a few people both here and other places I’m gonna leave her a while yet.

I try to get rid of as many clears as u can help being that there high in cbg the precusser to THC and CBn .sativa's Dom ones I have about 10% amber .anyway just my thought on this

I agree on most all comments, from what I can see seems to have clear, cloudy and very little amber starting. Since some are still in process it makes it difficult to make an accurate decision. I probably would pay close attention to majority overall % of mostly cloudy, she is very close.

I did end up deciding to leave her go a while longer, but I am keeping a close eye on her.

It was a couple of things all having to do with soil. To start I didn’t start it in a big enough pot. I also didn’t fill the pot enough. And I never top dressed with castings or more soil. All my fault and totally avoidable with common sense.

Exactly. I was buying from the dispensary here and it was running about 500 a month. I smoke a lot of weed and that wasn’t cutting it for me. Now I spend a couple hundred and get several months worth of weed.

Yup fuck em I don't blame you at all. And 100 a week was a poor week least I spent in one week trust me I was spending sometimes 300 a week.😵😅
