Grow Timeline (72 updates)

Durban Poison x SSHaze, Romanesco broccoli, tomato, aji mango peppers, apocalypse scorpion peppers, lettuce, monsteras, coleus, Cactus Dahlia, random philodendron propagations and some other stuff I forget!!!

last run 3 males. this run I have 1 female, 1 male (pulled today), 1 unknown. I have topped the female and clipped 2 other branches to clone. best case scenario I'll have clones to give away, worse case I'll have clones to replace any males

Durban Poison female with crazy purple hues to the flowers was bred to a male Durban Poison that also had purple hues in the male flowers. I went through 9 males to find the one I liked. this was the result! from those seeds I eventually found another male that I liked the look of and threw it into the mix with a super silver haze, lambs breath, rainbow Kush, and another Durban. I am by no means a geneticists and not a breeder but hey, I got seeds to play with lol
That looks really nice!
thanks!!! it smelled amazing. slightly floral with a hint of lemon and a touch of old gym bag funk.

last one showed itself today. ended up w 2 females, now just need clones to root so I can throw one into the rdwc system and get ready to flip and pop new seeds!!!
pay close attention to that one it has the features of a male plant
pay close attention to that one it has the features of a male plant
what features are you referring to?

growing/multiplying plants in a sterile agar gel. by using different plant hormones (same concept as clonex for rooting), you can have them either multiply or root. wild stuff I started dabbling in that I don't fully understand but understand enough to have it work through trial and error. next time I culture something I'll try and remember to document so I can share!!!
that will be awesome
very cool and interesting. have any recommendations on where i can read up on what your doing?
I learned most from a book called 'plants from test tubes'. there is a yt channel plants in jars that also does a good job with instruction on how to do it. the yt channel is more how to do, whereas the book has more why you are doing it
awesome π thanks for the response. I can't wait to try it...
@admin is there anyway yo send my fellow grower some photos here in the comments?? i can't seem to find a way...
No, not yet Iβm working on that and to be able to send them in the direct messages.
@Glitch i knew i had saw something about this process recently. Turns out about a month ago i was given the "Athena handbook" free from a local grow store... after lots and lots of adds and newtz info it has some really good stuff in the back about Tissue culture. since I can't post pics of it you should maybe just browse the Athena website since it will all be on there. some really cool info there.
kk np, keep it up!
π«‘
I want to say I saw something by Athena at one point. maybe when I was researching flow hoods. I think they have kits you can buy.
yes they do... I'm sure it's super expensive... do you use any kind of "autoclave" in the sterilization process?
I use a pressure cooker. 15 psi for 20 minutes.
ah nice. thanks for the info

cannabis clones are starting to show roots. I will let those grow out a little more before I take the biggest one and introduce it to the rdwc system. once it is established I will chuck/give away the others.
tomato cuttings have roots, I will let those grow a little more before I transplant into soil for the garden.
Dahlia cuttings are also starting to show roots formation. I'll let them ride and see what happens. not terribly concerned with those as I have too many (50ish) as it is.
added fert and water to top off the rdwc bringing it back up to about 21 gallons. will adjust pH to around 5.8 and will bring EC up from 900 us/cm to about 1000 us/cm with cal mag

introduced clone to rdwc system. only problem I foresee is how big the other 2 will get before I flip. plan was to let the little one catch up a bit and flip all three at the same time. now I'm not sure if that's a good idea. may flip two and then just introduce small one to flower room when it's big enough.
also put tomato clones into soil, good roots and should be all good.

picture of flow hood (good for spore inoculation too π€«).
also a philodendron I had in multiplication media, taken out, chopped up and recultured back into multiply again. one node turned into 8 plantlets, if I get the same turn over next time I'll have 64 plantlets. shows the power of exponentially multiplying. I'll be sterilizing more plants to introduce into culture in a week or 2. I'll post when I do and since this is a cannabis center community I'll throw a clone in. I forget the hormone types and ratios I used last time i cultured cannabis so I'm not sure what will come of it.
also a pic of a half moon variegation that came out of my tradscantia. chopped that up and will multiply hoping to isolate half moon.
super cool. is it an expensive rabbit hole to go down? initial setup wise what would a budget setup cost?
its like growing. it can be expensive, or you can do it somewhat on the cheap. like the flow hood, it cost $600 factory direct from China. but you can make a still air box out of a Rubbermaid tote that essentially does the same thing for $20. they also sell 'starter kits' of hormones and agar which will give you a taste for it

A cactus Dahlia bloomed, few others have buds on them, nothing like fresh flowers in the winter π some have been topped to encourage side growth. there is just too many, I foresee problems. tomatos are ripening, lettuce is due to be cropped. corpse flower (devils tongue) has started its growth. it bloomed last year around easter. hope it happens again. if you've never been around them, they are appropriately named. also a pic of some coleus that is showing some good coloring and the clone which doesn't seem to like her transition to the rdwc, it'll bounce back, they always get a little pissy.

starting to see some tip curl, I'll dial back the nutes and see what comes of it
those are some nice looking roots!!! what do you do to avoid root rot?
this run I'm using hydroguard only because I got the gallon for free, but I honestly think it's because my water temps are in the low 60s.
OK that's about 15.5C... hmm everywhere I've read says 18-22C, apparently colder temps slow growth... idk they look pretty happy to me! haha you have a chiller?
I do have a chiller, but it's currently off. I veg in an open room that stays pretty well at 65-70 (18-21c) with a small heater. reservoir is in different room that is about 58-60 (14-15c). mostly use the chiller for when I flower inside the tent. honestly it's probably too cold and has slowed growth but I didn't feel like adding a heater for the 2 months where it's real cold here
ah icic... yeah I'm setup in a shed/workshop. the shop stays around 22c, the 4x4 tent goes up to 27c daytime down to 22c night time. reservoir naturally wants to rise up to 22-24 for me. the colder temps is probably why your roots are so white!! can't grow root rot at that temp. i have plumbing background and tons of free materials to use so I'm working on making my own cooling coils to add to my reservoir. I plan to pump my pool water in as a cooling system, the pool will dissipate the heat. it will work the same as a radiant heating system but for cooling.

have to get plants into flower soon or they may get unruly. too lazy to get flowering tent set up, which is really just plug in the light and set the fans controller up and add nutes to rdwc system. oh well, what's a few more days in veg. remind me of this post when I'm complaining tent is overfull...π€ͺ

ec little lower than Id like but I'll just bring it up tomorrow or next day. for anyone interested it appears dahlia cutting will root in a cloner. tomato clones transitioned well to soil, scorpion peppers germinating well. aji mango peppers also popping off. seems the soak in KNO3 really helped w germ rates I'll let them grow a few nodes and see what happens when I tissue culture them. snapdragons, gallardia, eucalyptus, craspedia all popping off too. more tomatoes in roxul to see if I can get another round off indoors before it gets hot and I shut down the grow for summer

coleus is showing crazy colors getting blasted w light. tomatoes are ripening, plant is completely out of control, I did not prune it appropriately. tray of pink princess plantlets are establishing themselves nicely post culture

monstera farm!!!!! they grow soooo much faster in semi hydro.
do you have any Thai constellations?
back right, front right, 3 on left and big one I'll post one day
added the momma plant for you to see
I thought thatβs what those were. Thatβs awesome. I wanna get one eventually.
she looks amazing π€©
are you in the US?
yup Northern California
ohhhh sexy grow

dahlias are getting big. going to gift a few and keep hoping it warms up so I can get them outside and out of the grow room. they are taking up entirely too much room. lettuce is starting to germ and tomato has been moved to its new home

scorpion peppers getting bigger, bit to go before I attempt to culture them. (if successful I'm not sure what to do. I don't want 2 million scovil anywhere near me). random pink princess, more Dahlia, and the broccoli monster. no florets on the broccoli yet, I dislike 120 day to bloom veggies!!!! corpse flower is getting big. I can't wait until it blooms. such a pretty flower but smells like death. separated a bunch of flower seedlings. I don't know what to do with those either......good problems to have π

separating the snapdragons s gonna suck..... new crop of lettuce is starting to sprout. tomatoes getting bigger. aji pepper is growing, while the scorpion is just sitting there and hasn't done much above growth few roots poking out of cup but it's pretty stagnant growth wise. doesn't like the hydro. it'll learn to accept it or pass on to the netherworld, it's up to her... eucalyptus is coming along. hope to attract a panda with it......oh and daughter was bored so we cloned random stuff and attempted to cross a red decorative dahlia with a purple cactus to see what we get. ...

broccoli is getting giant, lights are way too strong for it have the people splotches. needs to hurry up and grow a crown. taking up so much space. gifted some dahlias, tomatoes and philodendrons today. making room for flower seedlings. planted a bunch of nicotania and rudbeckia. weeded the outdoor poppy patch, it reseeded itself nicely from last year, a good shake of sprouts coming up.
lol I just started a bunch of sunflowers, sweet pea flowers and a bunch of tomatoes still gotta start my herbs and whatnot. never done cabbage lettuce or broccoli yet
nice!!!! this is my first indoor broccoli. last year got so bad w whitefly and aphid I have up. lettuce is tough for me here outdoor. it always gets too hot and bolts.
last time I started sunflowers inside it was a disaster!! they grew great inside. I put em all in the ground and they just stunted, was fun having mini sunflowers but I wanted a wall of 10'ers π

separated snap dragons, will see how they handle that lol. started to germinate more stuff for outside. zukes, cukes, gillardia,
snapdragons, rudbeckia, zinnia, balloon flowers, 2 different types of celosia, cosmos. transplanted the scorpion peppers. anyone having trouble germinating peppers a soak in 1% KNO3 for 24 hours worked wonders for me. was about 15% germ to now 80% successful. have to do a resi change soon, been a good white since I have. did a 3 gallon changeover today roughly 15% of system
reminds me of Panama Red :]
stuff be growing. may start moving dahlias outside during the day. bring them in at night when it's still cold. I really just need more space. growing less is not an option..... separated snapdragons took. few cosmos grow the soil. nicotania is sprouted. contemplating sprouting more Durban crosses for outdoor so I can get to f2 but kind of also want to rock lambs breath. was my favorite strain to smell

changed rez. was a real long time since I've done it last. everything seems happy so I was in no rush. seedlings sprouting, tomato going nuts, trimmed it back a bunch. going to start transitioning things outdoors or hook up another light. need more space. anyone want dahlias, pink princess philodendrons or Vietnamese violets? broccoli is finally flowering!!!!!!!!

traded few plants for a dalhia tuber. I know I already have too many but this one should have deep purple almost black flowers and it sprouted!!! gave away a bunch more, bigger established plants go outside for the day and sit on my kitchen floor for the night to start hardening off. ahi pepper is getting bigger, scorpion pepper is being weird. I've never grow hydro peppers but the aji did that too before it started growing normally. broccoli is growing its corkscrew head. looks wild, can't wait until it's bigger. 3 types of lettuce have sprouted, started new seeds for the 2 that didn't take.
looking great, I'm very interested to see how that broccoli grows. I recently added a few new plants to my closet including some black beauty bell peppers, a very nice looking Bhut Jolokia and some Brussel sprouts. Once I can buy pro status soon I'm going to start posting my other plants as well!
that's awesome. I'm happy someone is growing things besides cannabis as well. I'm not alone anymore!!π I can't wait to see how yours does. get that pro so we can follow along! the broccoli has been a learning experience for sure. you don't realize how big they really are until it's inside. id also highly recommend getting a short season variety. this one is a Romanesco broccoli. it's a cross between cauliflower and broccoli. it grows a pretty wild corkscrew head, but also takes 120 days to reach maturity. it's roots are starting to take over the next bucket π¬
Just got Pro so I'll be posting pics and updates about some of my plants soon!! My grow closet is currently packed until some things can go outside lol. I am growing some Brussel sprouts that take around 100 days till maturity and this is my first time growing them so I'm excited to see how they form
nice!!! welcome aboard!!! I know the struggle of needing things to go outdoors!!! can't wait for the updates
tradscantia patch. African violet patch. flowering tomato clone it's probably the smallest tomato plant I've ever seen with flowers lol. lettuce is coming along, can't seem to get the final 2 varieties to germinate. eventually they will and they'll get thrown into the mix
aji pepper is getting big. scorpion pepper is not. lettuce getting bigger. tomatoes are ripening. quite tasty too. going to have to make the call eventually in regards to the tomato plant. it's indeterminate so it'll just keep growing. one day I'll prune the hell out of it and see what happens.
made some room. brought a lot of stuff outside to start hardening off. tomato plant got so unruly I chopped it down. had a good crop from them. it's nice to walk in the grow room and just pluck a ripe fruit to eat. not sure what I'm going to throw in there next. next crop of lettuce is coming along. corpse flower may be getting ready to stink. tray of sunflowers popping off. aji pepper is getting massive and even the scorpion pepper is showing new growth. broccoli is still doing it's things. and a basil that just won't die
voodoo Lily (Dracunulus Vulgaris) is starting to flower!!! I thought it was kicking out a new leaf but that's it's spadix starting to show!!!!
in less interesting news there is also a flat of sunflowers. a few Mongolian giants and a bunch of F2 open pollination of a mammoth I crossed with a red sunflower.
voodoo Lily is priming to bloom! aji mango pepper had to get moved into it's own bucket, it's getting huge. new tomato has some flowers. once the suckers get bigger I'll chop and clone them for outside. lettuce doing well, and a rock wool slab full of lettuce and herbs for the outdoor system. undecided if I start a new grow for that one it's in place or just carry it on this one
corpse flower is getting ready to bloom!!!! grow room smells like someone is covering up a murder. stinks like lemon floor cleaner (from the cannabis) with an undertone of rotten flesh (from the corpse flower). pepper is starting to flower and lettuce is due for a picking
rooms looking bare. took down the broccoli and discovered a leak, nothing crazy. will need to isolate the bucket and repair one day. pepper is flowing, tomato is flowering. lettuce is growing nicely, even the dahlia I threw in there to see what it would do is growing nicely.
Dracunulus Vulgaris has bloomed!!! Smells awful, like rotten meat. have seen flies on it which I'm hoping will pollinate so I can see if I can grow some from seeds
Sure looks cool. i like that color
the spathe is a deep blood red, looks like velvet. and the spadix is a dark purple almost black. the pictures don't do it justice. I'm hoping it kicks out some pups this year. they don't flower for the first few years so my plan is to give it to a coworker who is into plants but she's kind of a bitch. have her grow it for a few years and then when she least expects it boom rotten meat lol
LOL
is this that rare flower that takes years to flower and smells like the death of death?
it takes about 3-5 years for it to be old enough to bloom. now that it has reached maturity it blooms yearly. and yes it smells horrible, but only for about a day. then only smells if you get real close for about a week then the flower dies.
I think you're thinking of titan arums. those are the ones in all the fancy botanical gardens. this is in the same family. and yes smells like dead
monsteras, spiritus sancti, pink princess, tortem, el Choco red, green congo nuclear philodendrons all doing well in cabinet. pepper got a haircut and has fruit. tomato also has some fruit on it. attempting to control tomato growth this time, it has about 5 clusters of flowers, plan is to let those fruit and cut all new growth and limit the plant to just those 5 clusters. when those ripen I'll cull it
things have been oddly slow growing wise here for me, blessing in disguise really. weather has been cold and rainy so things outside have been growing slowly. I was sitting on the deck enjoying my edible and had a bee land on my hand. I noticed the bee had blue pollen sacks on his legs. I didnt take too strong of a dose so I knew I wasn't tripping..... not much was blooming in the garden so I wandered over and found the blue pollen culprit. poppies!!!!!
aji mango peppers are fruiting, tomato is plumping up. apocalypse scorpion is flowering. random dahlia, and a bunch of goji berry
Food! And real food comes from our back yards!
or our basements.....lol 100% man. taste better and teaches the kids how to live with the land and why to love it!
more nutrients in them as well. home grow is better π― all the way around.
been busy outdoors so the indoor garden has been slightly neglected. did a water change today. hopefully they are happy with some nutes in their life. aji mango peppers are producing heavily, tomato has a bunch of clusters but has also been prunes heavily to try and keep it a manageable size. lettuce is going strong. will probably be it's last harvest soon
Ah, Red Hot Pokers, or that's what we call them at least. They grow well here.
they are cute what are they?
Very nice
Kniphofia uvaria aka torch lily aka red hot poker
yes, the devils poker, I love them. i just grew 3 from seed this season. pretty proud of the. little guysπ
mines going nuts this year. I have vases of pokers everywhere!!!
tomato and pepper is starting to ripen. apocalypse scorpion has finally flowered and fruited. took forever with that one. was the smallest stalled out plant forever, then randomly bolted and stretched. cloning the outdoor so I can hopefully culture them. also in the cloner is a dogwood and tomato, needed one more to complete my outdoor tomato scrog. chiller running at 67f nutes holding steady at 800ish pH fluxes in range
Let me get Some π€€
Tomato is looking rather haggard, but it's sharing a home with a bunch of other stuff that all looks good so it'll deal with it, or die. Aji pepper is massive. never gotten one so big before. the peppers taste great, with a fair shake of heat, but it dissipates quickly so it's not unbearable. scorpion pepper is hitting it's stride. lots of flower, but not much fruit setting in. propagating some begonia leaf, takes a while but it's fun to watch it's progress.
How do or rather what do you use to feed your vegetables indoors?
everything gets jacks 321. it's rdwc so it's all connected. not ideal considering they all have different wants and needs, depending on the stage of plants.
is that a powder or liquid fertilizer?
powder, that I turn into a liquid concentrate. so both technically lol. it's a 3 part fertilizer. part A is 5-12-26 and micronutes. part b is calcium nitrate (15-0-0) and 3rd part is magnesium sulfate (Epsom salt)
1. apocalypse scorpion pepper - starting to fruit, these peppers just look mean. I think I'm too scared to eat one.
2. begonia leaf - starting to see growth in a few of the leaf cuttings
3. Vietnam violet - related to African violets single leaf propagation that has grown and started to flower
4. aji mango pepper - massive plant. I need to trim it back. great producer, lots of peppers and still continuing to flower
5. aeroponic bucket - bunch of philodendrons and African violets. hoping to boost growth. have never grown either in aeroponic, will see what happens
6. bigger aeroponic bucket - been experimenting with seed starting in this. been working pretty well and makes for a easy transition to hydro ladder. will soon replace this 27gallon (35 site) box with 2 17gallon (35 sites each). they are built just need to actually move everything over
first apocalypse scorpion pepper was plucked today. ate 1/4 of it. just a chunk.
I'm an anti religious person, but I'm fairly certain this pepper was created by the devil himself. there is no flavor just pain. there isn't much heat to it. just pain. I've been on labor strikes where I've been pepper sprayed by strikebreaking fascist cops (ACAB). this pepper is worse. I see no benefit to owning or growing this plant. I will finish out this peppers life cycle, let it fruit and harvest it. what I'm going to do with them i don't know. I DO know that I will never eat one of those again....π₯΅π₯πΆοΈ
compost them!
that's how I get random scorpion peppers growing everywhere!!!! last thing I need is a rouge scorpion pollinating to create a burn your face off bell pepper. I have pumpkin zucchini hybrids growing out of my compost because I composted Halloween pumpkins one year π
Woops, get that stuff up to 165 to kill those seeds! its kinda cool though, seeing what pops up in the compost. π€ My wife used to do those hot pepper challenges they have in Manhattan. Maybe we should give some to her? π€£
when life gives you peppers, make pepper spray. π
you can make pepper spray with it. or if you live in the back woods you can make a paste with it and spread it around your property to keep the animals off your property. Sometimes have to use it here to keep the deer off my vegetable gardens.
pics
1 + 2 begonia cuttings
3 aji mango peppers.
will be coming down after this set of fruit is ripe. part of me wants to keep it growing just to see how big I can get it, but I also need the site for other stuff.
4. apocalypse scorpion pepper (aka fuck you pepper) not sure why I'm still growing this. I'll never eat them
5. aeroponic tote.
bunch of random stuff seeing what lives and what doesn't
aeroponic totes, growing all sorts of stuff. been experimenting with seed starting in it. so far haven't had too many issues, was concerned with the constant wet, but for the most part it seems ok.
begonia propagation is cooking, almost ready to transplant
this terrarium started with some various philodendrons nodes and alocasia corms. hopes were just to root, propagate and sell but once it all started growing, I fell in love with it. eventually it'll outgrow it but until then I get to sit and stare at it
so many crazy cool plants!
I dig it!
1 begonia leaf and I don't know how many weeks and now we have 35 begonia babies!!!!
wow u planting flowers this late ? I'm in Wisconsin we're getting cold nights here already so I don't know other places grow schedule.at least I know I can post my other plant problems I have a bulb plant every time it flowers leaves turn yellow then brown is this a cal mag issue? I did give it some might need more I give it anzomite that full of cal mag it's a natural mineral from Utah
they're house plants. I'll sell them for $10, after costs, nursery pot, shipping etc I'll make $150, just from 1 leaf. lights running anyway, may as well use it π I did just plant more cucumber last week, well it was put outside last week, I'm in New England so my growing season is a little longer, will get at least a few cukes outta her. lol your bulb plant may just be at senescence. after they flower, they'll divert all of their energy to the bulb so it can start its life next year. I leave the yellow leaves because she's gonna need every bit of energy that leaf can muster to either grow new bulbs or pack into the existing rhizomes
this will be the last crop of aji mango pepper. it's been very productive but it's getting switched out for some lemon dream sweet peppers, I'll actually eat those. the apocalypse scorpion is ripening and once that's done, I'll flip African black magic and throw some clones in veg, 3 per bucket and see what the better pheno is and rock those 3 while culling the worse pheno. pop more seeds and see what else we find. that's the plan any way ......
I'm trying some habneros out this year .do I wait till they turn orange on vine then pick them ? any advice with peppers is appreciated what kind of fertilizer they like any certain nutrients I should give her extra?
I don't do anything different for my peppers. I grow in hydro so everything in there, tomato, pepper, lettuce and cannibus all get the same. you can pick the peppers at any point. the longer they stay ripening the juicier they get, flavor changes as does the heat. you can tell when they reach peak ripeness by lifting the pepper and it'll fall off the vice. experiment with them and see what you like best!
system is mostly empty, did a drain and scrub down, ran a heavy Ca(Clo)2 through the system for a day and rinsed in several times and put some things back in. plan is for sweet lemon pepper, bam clones, pink celery, and 2 tomatoes brandy wine and a determinate strain called purple reign. pepper is already rocking, Brandywine is a clone from my outdoor garden and purple reign seeds are germinating. aeroponic tub is pumping out lettuce and ficus clones are waiting on roots. see what grows π
found a bag in the basement that has some corms/bulbs in it. I'm notorious for not labeling anything and saying oh I'll remember. yeah, not a clue what these were. so I did what any reasonable gardener would do and the them all in a pot. fun mottled stems, funky shaped leaf. then it struck me. these are various cultivars of corpse flower!!!! π₯΄ way too small to flower but we'll let em grow and get them mature enough that they do!!!!
ooo peice a candy π¬ π€£π€£π€£
swapped out 12 of the 18 gallons to some fresh nutes. pH holding steady at 5.9. EC at 805.
added pink celery, a determinate tomato, Brandywine clone, and candy cane chocolate peppers to the system. tester clones hanging out. lettuce is growing. I need to up the nutes next change over. time to sit back and let it grow
back in early May I pollinated the black cactus Dahlia with a pink/yellow double cactus. seeds were ripened and germinated and grown. they have finally bloomed and gave up the F1!!!!
end goal is a black double cactus. this will be accomplished by breeding out to f2. keeping any double cactus and dark petal. take the darkest one and backcross to original dark single. that should lock in color. take those bx1 and run until I find 2 dark doubles. cross those and boom should have black doubles. best case scenario I'm looking at 3 more crosses.
get to f2. backcross those to get to bx1. cross those to get bx1f2. at 5 months pollinate to flower I'm looking at year and half. and that's if I get lucky and only have to back cross 1x. that my friends is why good seeds are expensive. I'll update when I get to f2
Looks great... GL with the rest of your journey.
thanks!!
I love scrolling seeing 20 cannabis plants and then all of a sudden boom big bright flower πΊππ
ππ glad you like it!! the lights are on, may as well grow pretty stuff with it. one day Ill overrun your app with non cannabis growers. (jk) π€£π€ͺ
lol itβs all good
2nd F1 dahlia bloomed. was not expecting a different color. cannabis is a diploid. each gene has 2 alleles. 1 from each parent. simple example pink pistles and white pistles. you'll get pink, white, and a pink/white. turn out dahlias are octoploids so they get 4 from each parent making each gene have 8 alleles. should get done big genetic diversity but stabilizing what I find in seed form will be a massive understanding. future glitch problem I suppose.
Nice to see some variety in the pretty flowers we see π
Main grow room has a monster determinate tomato, some pink celery, and a pepper plant just to name a few. Need to turn the heat on to get the tomatoes to ripen. Lettuce tub was harvested about 10 heads. Letting a second growth occur while I germinate more seeds
The winter garden is doing it things. 5 out 6 buckets have something in them. One of the tomatoes got out of control and took over the 6th bucketπ¬. We have 3 tomatos a basil and an auto(separate grow for her). The pepper was chugging along, I had harvested it's first flush of peppers and then it just dropped all it's blooms and stopped growing after about a month of it doing nothing I gave it the boot and replaced it with a basilπ€·ββοΈ. The purple datura is about to bloom, corpse flower had started to sprout, it needs more light so it's a little bendy at the moment. Dahlia crosses and random other stuff on a shelf and a few variegated rubber trees just for fun! Happy growing ππ
We're gonna be in trouble here. Tomatoes are starting to ripen on the oldest one. 2 others are starting to flower and set fruit. I'm going to have to do some heavy handed pruning because everytime I run tomatoes indoors they just get out of control. Oldest is a determinate beefsteak, others are a determinate pink blush and a indeterminate I forget what. I will definitely run out of room if they all go as crazy as the beefsteak. Corpse flower is working on it's 3rd leaf. I managed to get my hands on some seeds and 1 even germinate!! That should be a fun grow. Happy growing, ππ
When growing tomatoes inside make sure to vibrate or gently move the blooms to simulate bees helps with the fruiting.
Now I really want some fried green tomatoesπ€€
Pic 1Flowers and veggies started for the garden
2. Determinate tomato. So much easier when growing them indoors. Not vining like indeterminate
3. Free space in the grow.... For now
4. Random propagations taken from the terrarium
5. Black African Magic momma plants hanging out in aeroponics. If feminization produces seeds they'll get composted
6. Poinsettia. Normally I'm not a fan but this one is rather pretty. Will attempt to grow it out in the summer and flip to 12/12 again next year to flower it. That's right! Poinsettia is also a photo period plant
Getting ready for spring planting.
#1 tomato seedlings and over watered peppers
#2 assortment of flower seedlings
#3 lettuce for hydro ladder
#4 pumpkin
#5&6 last of the tomatos that need to finish so I can reset the rdwc system
Strawberry wall π€

Nice!
thanks!!! it's an odd arrangement of stuff but it keeps me sane in the winter.
