Grow Timeline (20 updates)
I got this . great job . looks like u been growing a lot longer then 2 grows π
This is my second Grow. My first was DWC hydroponics, this one is in ProMix. Thank you for the compliment, any feedback is welcome, good or bad.
wow u really went the hard route doing DWC on your first grow . no wonder your 2nd grow is good . u got this . everyone on this app is helpful . no matter how long someone grows still always learning. so many different styles & no wrong way .
That's what I hear, but I didn't know any better at the time....lol. My son has a lot of experience growing, so I'm not completely in the dark. Yeah this site is awesome and the people are great! Thanks for the encouragement!!
if u can do DWC then u got this .looking forward to seeing your grows . I be looking out for em
First amber trichs developing on LBG (3 or 4)
Not seeing any amber trichs on the other three plants
bruh!! that shit looks like itβd kill Willie Nelson π. great job man. I hope to be that good one day. about to start my first grow. almost got all the pieces together. canβt wait. but yea thatβs as good as it gets right there man!ππ»ππ»
Thanks bro, I feel like my yield will be underwhelming, but it's definitely better than my first grow. You're certainly smart to gather all your equipment before hand. I pieced together my equipment on my first grow and was always a week late. I'm still kinda piecing together my second grow, but not to the extent of the first. People on here are very helpful, so that should help keep you on the right path. Happy growing and the best of luck on your first grow!
looking really good loving the purple hues !! u going 10weeks ?
Thank you, I've kept the temperature at around 20Β° C for the entire flower period, which I assume helps with the purple colors. I will harvest when the trichs gets around 20% amber. That may be another couple weeks, but with four different strains, they aren't maturing evenly. Needless to say, I won't be growing multiple strains again. I have cut nutes and will only be providing water for the rest of the grow.
it can be a pain when different strains finish at different times especially if u plan on using that tent to do your drying in
Exactly.....yes, I have to use the same tent to dry in and the humidity is between 15% and 80%, It seems monsoons are kicking in a little early this year
Iβm in same boat . nothing but chilly rainy days . causing a slow start for my outdoor plants . I be shutting down the tent in a few weeks. I have 2-3 weeks for the 3 remaining plants in tent & Iβll dry in that. gets way to hot in garage . Iβm hoping that it be ok to dry in . I used the box to dry small northern lights in . whatever gets the job done .
Trichs are almost 100% cloudy with very few amber on Grape Biscotti (GB) and 0% amber on the other three.
Harvesting this weekend (12 weeks into flower)
Trichs color:
Zandies β 5% Amber 5% Clear
Bigfoots Dream β 10% Amber 0% Clear
Grape Biscotti β 15% Amber 0% Clear
Lemon Bubble Gum > 5% Amber 10% Clear
14 day drying period
Mostly disappointing grow, fluffy buds (except for Grape Biscotti) it had denser buds but not perfect. Small yeild, maybe 4 ounces, but I will weigh it out after a one month cure. Root structure was VERY underwhelming, which has lead me to low yield and weak buds. Ok, enough of the negative.....
The beautiful purples (except Lemon Bubble Gum), it's VERY LIME green, makes the buds look good, even if they aren't as dense as I'd like. They are pretty frosty and tastes decent for not being cured yet. All have a good high, but Zandies has an excellent, long lasting body high, that actually seems to give you energy and motivation. I will update this grow one more time, after curing with the final weight and thoughts on this grow.
After 7 weeks of curing the final weight was 136 g for a 3'x3' tent is pretty weak, but better than the 71 g from my first grow. The aroma and taste are quite good, as well as the high. Zandies is still my favorite in all three areas. Next grow I will concentrate on "bigger roots and better fruits" ~ Scotty Real

looking good to me..maybe a little pruning
I do defoliate almost daily. My plan was to allow them to stretch and see who makes it to the canopy then prune, I figure this week. I'll get a shot from under the canopy after I prune and see what you think....thanks for the advice!!
A suggestion for you, you would do well to space your pots a bit farther apart, allowing air to circulate. your ph looks a bit low, yellowing of new growth and leaves get lighter and purple veins start to show. Itβs locking out copper iron zinc. your run off should not be higher than your inputs, no more than .5- .8 ec 200-300 ppm at this stage, week 5 increase. This again is for run off.
when you ph your water, let it sit for a while and stabilize then test
If your water starts at 290 ppm, you may want to use a filter, thatβs pretty high to start, then mix nutrients into it, going to cause issues for you.
Yeah, it's a mixture of spring and well water with 4ppm chlorine. RO system is in the plan, as soon as I recover from taxes....lol
When you say a while, how long is that approximately?
Is this 200-300 ppm above the 290 ppm of the plain water, equally 490-590 ppm? If my runoff is at 300, with my input water at 290, doesn't that leave me with a 10ppm net for salts? I'm completely new at this, so for give me if I ask stupid questions, I promise I learn fast
10-15 minutes
yes 200 ppm of nutrients added to water ppm, try to stay under 1.0 ec or 600 ppm total for this stage, as they get bigger increases ppm and ec. important to flush them around day 21 of flower. to keep salt from buildup. at week 5 they need magnesium more. I run a 1.5-2.2 from week 5-8
In soil runoff it can be a little more but not lots more than imputs . say you put in 700ppm and runoff said 1500ppm that would be a problem. salt build up.
Come to find out my TDS meter was WAY out of calibration. After calibration, my tap water comes out at 440 EC and 6.2 pH
maybe 440 EC is incorrect, 221 ppm for sure
Thatβs more like it.
ec is around double ppm
so fN lucky your ph is 6.2 that is awesome
I see this issue now. I will flush them this week
Straight outta the mountain....π
If you got questions hit me up glad to help growers
I need to do a little studying on EC, I'm not quite following the formula. If EC is roughly double the ppm how could the value be 1.0 or lower? Wouldn't that make ppm 0.5 or lower?
.5 ec is roughly 240 ppm ec is how much shit is in your water besides water, ppm is how much nutrients in your water.
I donβt use ppm that much I find ec a better option
The best I can tell it's a difference in the scales we are using. You are referring to milliSeimens/cm (mS/cm) and my TDS/EC meter reads in microSeimens/cm (ΞΌS/cm). So 1 EC mS/cm = 1000 ΞΌS/cm, correct? And I really appreciate you taking the time to get me on the right path, you have some amazing flowers!!
yup I know itβs a little confusing 1.0 ec is 1000 .5 is 500 the reason I use .5, 1.0, 1.5 ect.. otherwise you can mistake and mix them up. been there, done that. haha I buffered coco once and mix them up and fuged my grow up.
Thanks brother. We are about to start the vegetable garden, but it's going to freeze this weekend so it's on hold.
