Grow Timeline (21 updates)
starting a new grow today. had some life stuff go on the last few months sadly and my plants suffered. the blue dream photo went all to shit, my fast flowering photo in hydro actually managed to come back (shes now a week in flower) my breeding project photo did not reveg and one of the 4 autos in that tent i let flower has nanners. they havnt opened yet and im 80% sure its gorilla zkittles. im just letting that tent run and if i get seeds I get seeds im not stressing it. that all said new month new plant back in my favorite soil blend in a 3gal pot with a purple Haze Auto from fastbuds this time.
Its been a while but here's an update on my purple Haze auto. I topped her last week and today took the two lowest branches down. the goal will be to train the four branches out evenly. I also have a self watering base on the way that ill be using here. very excited. Hopefully the self watering base plus the topping will allow for since explosive growth.
Miss purple haze here is sending out some early hairs so I've thrown over the next to keep her level. This lady took the topping very well and Ive got the 4 solid branches I was looking for on her. I'm hoping to keep her very level. self watering base is still in transit sadly but hopefully it'll be here fast and I won't have to do too much to set it up
Looks like the stretch his here, shes noticeably larger this morning than she was last night imo, and I did spot the hairs the other just starting so I'm not surprised. the new self watering base came in yesterday so id say perfect timing there. I'm not going to clock her in flower just yet though, I want to be sure shes really stretching before I mark it.
Miss ma'am got a little more tucking this morning, I did have to open up a vent for more airflow as the humidity was much higher than id want right now from the base. I'm not worried about it just glad to catch it now. She already seems to be drinking from though as the water level is a lot lower and the soil weight feels good, not too heavy but she's not dried out either.
Miss purple haze here is is officially in flower as far as im concerned. She is loving the self watering base and I'm sold on them. I will be getting at least one more maybe two, though Im probably running another dwc run when that bucket is free, auto next time that photo just is taking too long.
Not much to note aside from the gorgeous bud development going on. I think shes gonna turn out fantastic in another 6-8 weeks. I am 100% using that self watering base again on the next plant i think ill run another auto and just see how big i can get one without topping just doing lst again.
Miss Haze here is doing well, i've done some minor training just to keep her level the last few days but I'm not really focusing on it. Shes loving the self wicking base and I love the ease of it. Haven't dont any feeding shes going off of whats in the soil blend, ive got probably three or four more rounds before I run out of that mix and need to amend again. ill probably be shooting for gia green or good old grow dots when I do switch. I like the ease of just watering and im over fussing with nutes. ill keep the 3part for my dwc and use up the rest of my liquids then call it.
Look at this bud development and structure. And the FROST. Shes pulling on the more peppery side scent wise and I can not wait. She gets to be the first real pressed on my new rosin press. No more diy burnt wasted flower. Plus ive got an awesome new project planned out once the purple lemonade finally finishes up.
Not a whole lot going on, just growing and stacking. Shes glorious and I could not be happier with this plant. I couldn't help myself and snagged some early macros with my phone and scope. Im pressed with how the trics on the sugar leaves look. Theyre so uniform already.
Shes looking hazy and I love it. The way she's staring to fade makes me think she'll wrap up closer to two weeks out and not my protected four. Im not mad about that. Going to hold off on the macros with my microscope until at least next week though. It's been so long since I finished a normal sized trained plant i forgot how nice it feels. No micro experiment grow going root bound and struggling at the end. Might start prepping my next grow this weekend, get the soil going and select the strain. No real rush on it ill probably get it popping next week
Nice!!!
God this lady is pretty. I'm estimating maybe two weeks left on her at this point. She's drinking less and really starting to fade pretty.
Its definitely still got more time to go
Looking good
That's nice looks like you got a monster yielder
Not bad considering I topped her so early on the third node. She's a beast
Title is the post. Lol juwt an excuse to show off some microscope shots of the tricomes. Still not realy amber lots of cloudy and some clear. I'm shooting to 1-5% amber on this one i want as little couch lock as possible since this lady is to be pressed and turned into chocolates for daytime pain management.
I did not weigh her out sadly, somehow all three of my scales are MIA so we have here 4 1oz bags all filled well, everything else all the lower larfy stuff along with probably another 10g-15g that went into test presses not pictured gave me a great haul. She presses well with and without a bag and the rosin hits well, lemony on the inhale little gassy and a bit fermented grape on the exhale. All in all will run purple haze auto again later.
Careful filling up the grove bags too much. You only want to fill them about 3/4 full. They are fantastic for curing and storing though. If you are going to store long term, 2+months, take a lighter and singe the end and squish it together. When you want to open. cut off the melted part. You can get 3-4 melts out of the top. Had one stored 9 months like that. When I opened it, still fresh as the day I put in. Terp profile changed but it was still fresh
which self watering base are you using?
funny enough a cheap one I got off temu of all places. figured for a test might as well try cheap and by better later
so this is a self wicking base? I have the Vivosun ones...
yup, its a little on the flimsy side in my opinion and I dont think it could hold a 5gal well. It does make me want to invest in one of the better companies bases. But for the like 12 bucks I spent on it I'm not mad.
Yeah the vivosun ones are pretty strong. I have one under a 7 gallon autoflower and its holding pretty well.
I'll probably invest in a good one (maybe I'll catch a holiday sale or something) I do want to try it with a larger pots, I dont often run my 5gal fabric pots but I'd love to see what I can do with one.
supposedly the AC Infinity ones can handle a 10 gallon
