Grow Timeline (23 updates)
Planted 13 seeds today. cleaned everything well with bleach. I used Root Riot plugs and soaked them in recharge water. I put them in my AC Infinity dome with the heat pad on low. I will wait until the seeds sprout before I introduce lighting
11 of the 13 seeds popped. the other two split but haven’t gone any farther than that. I transplanted the 11 into 4” pot of 70/30 coco/perlite with 5 grams of grow dots. I sprinkled the root cubes with recharge and buried the stems on some of the stretchy ones. I bottom fed with maybe an 1/8” of water in the bottom of the domes. I set up the closet in my grow room with a 40w led light and put the domes on heat mats on top of the table. I am going to try a 7pm-1pm/7am light schedule this grow for heat and electrical cost purposes.
bottom watered today. I have been opening the vents to lower humidity. I’m a little disappointed in these seeds. 2 didn’t germinate, and half of them have twisted leaves, and half look good. I’m assuming it’s genetics because they are all in the same environment. I will continue to monitor them.
I’m not satisfied with the 5 smaller PKB so i am starting 9 PotG and will pick the best 6 to go with the others. I really want 12 plants in my tent and whatever is left over I will probably grow in the closet under my 300w light
i heard amazing things from that strain...tbh i wanted to grab some when i ordered beans last and it was sold out..i went with 10th planet, i cant wait to pop them
I just had a similar experience with some strains. 1/6 succeeded so trying again. wanting to stuff 6 maybe 7 in a small closet tent.
10th planet sounds good too. I’ve been waiting since 4/20 when I bought these seeds to pop them. all 9 germinated which is good. hopefully your 10th planet seeds will too!
Idk if it genetics or the breeders. maybe both. all 9 of my planet of the grapes popped under the same conditions.
I can stuff 12 in a 5x5 with 1 month in veg (veg starts when I transplant into 3 gallons pot)
I'm staying with two gallons which might let them get too big. I have a taller space then I do wide so aiming for 6-8 with some pruning. really just after around a 100 grams each but I have a very low power light setup sitting at about 129 watts with supplemental bars so looking see how well it compares to a 180watt setup I've seen do large things.
all 9 seedlings popped at basically the same time. I will take the best 6 and put in with my other plants, and the remaining 3 will go with the 1 remaining kush breath and grow in my closet under my 300w mars hydro. I may try to get a the second tent I’ve been wanting for a starter tent.
the pkb was about to outgrow the dome and needs some airflow on the stems to build up strength. I staked up the plants and watered them with recharge. the potg seedling are doing good with a couple of runts in the group. I moved them into the tent with the dome lid removed and the sides still on. I will probably transplant them into pots Saturday. I gave them a little recharge water as well. the tent is set to 80• with 0.8 VPD and the light is on 6 about 24” from the canopy. I have the light set on-7pm/off-1pm
watered with recharge. the pkb seem to want water every day now so the roots are probably filling up the pots. I will probably transplant them this weekend and the POTG next weekend. hopefully the POTG will have some vigorous growth in the next week and a half. they are gaining color back from their deficiency from leaving them in the cubes too long without nutrients.
the plants have really taken off the last few days. the big ones have gotten used to the enviroment and the potg have almost fully recovered from their deficiencies. I have selected the 12 keepers. 7 platinum kush breaths and 5 planet of the grapes.
transplanted the platinum kush breaths into 3 gallon pots of 70/30 coco coir/perlite with 3 tablespoons (45 grams) growdots. lightly watered the base of the plant with regular water. I will let them dry back and next watering will be with recharge/cal mag because I see some rusting on a few leaves. I will transplant the PotG next Sunday evening and then change status from seedling to vegetative and start the 4 week countdown to flower. turned lights to 1 shortly before lights out and sprayed with DrZymes, then turned off lights for the “night”
Have you used Grow Dots before? Just curious how well it works.
my last grow was my first run with growdots. Pink Passion Fruit. it’s on my profile. I got a little over 2.5lbs out of a 5x5 with 2 weeks seedling and 4 weeks veg. it’s the easiest way to grow that I’ve tried and it’s great if you’re busy. I used to bottle feed and mix half a dozen gallons every other day which took forever. now I just use high ppm well water around 7.2 ph. I don’t ph and just use recharge every other watering or once a week. unless I convert to a true living soil bed I will continue to grow with growdots.

I’ve never grown these genetics before but I have grow bubba and platinum OG before from clone. they were both pretty easy growing plants. easy to train. they don’t have a big stretch in flower so make sure your space is pretty full before you go to flower to get the most from them.

Unfortunately I didnt get a pic of the roots for the 3 I transplanted. they are shooting roots everywhere lol. seedlings feel a bit fragile still, but I'm going to harden them off this week preparing to go to veg in my Propogation tent
I was trying to get some topping done today on my plants and some of the had roots growing out of the trunk. they are definitely good rooters
i transplanted the POTG into their final pots using 45 grams of grow dots and fox farms 70/30. I watered them in pretty heavily, to the point of oversaturation, and left town for 4 days 😩 hopefully Sunday when I get back everything will be good and not bone dry
idk what happened but at 10:40am my humidifiers decided to turn on full blast for 6 hours and probably pumped ~6 gallons of water into my tent and raised my humidity to 100%. I am obligated to stay at my families house 7 hours away until Sunday because I would never hear the end of it if I left early to grow “drugs” and I have no one to check on it so my plants are probably fucked.

If they are in veg they will be fine, they grow in the jungle after all
I hope so. my worse fears are WPM and burned leaves from water droplets on the plants when the lights turned back on. and these aren’t jungle strains they are mountain strains lol.

I’m trying lol. everything happens for a reason. I’m hoping they aren’t ruined but if they are then maybe it’s a sign. I’m wanting to sell my house and move and I can’t do that with a tent full of plants lol
yea it does. it’s just annoying. this time of year is already stressful enough with all the money spending, traveling and work picks up 100%. I just wanted a relaxing weekend for my limited time off and I can barely have that. I’m not the one that decided to move so far away but I am the one expected to travel.
I hear ya , like Six says these plants have been growing long before we intervened & hopefully when u get back everything will be ok . keep us posted on how it worked out . my ex wife was same way . it not worth the fighting. 🙏

The lights must take out some of the humidity if the humidifier is completely off now, trying to think positive here but I'm positive she will be fine. Please update us of what happens when you're back
my AI has done that also. AC is sending me a new Humidifier because of my T3 crapping the bed in the same way. it's like it doesn't understand to shut off when at setpoint, or it "goes to sleep" and won't kick on. if you adjust the humidity on the fly when you see it happening my unit would wake up and then go back to normal, but when it happens overnight it gets to be a bunch. setting alerts doesn't help because the automation will mess up you other devices when it goes into alarm or it will kill you program. here's what I did to correct it a bit. 1. defaulted the AI and reprogrammed. I've done this a bunch but now seem stable. 2. set the humidifier and heater off of AI control, and use setpoint (this will also wake your unit up). 3. change humidity setpoints to be 1 or 2 points higher or lower will wake it up. 3. have fan on default level 1 for lowest, unless you don't have free CO2 and then leave at 0, and the higher fan speed set at 6 for veg. higher in later stages due to smell. 4. I have my thermoforge off of AI , but connected, and doing setpoints, I have the T3 connected but not under Ai control, and using setpoints. I have faux humidifier in my Propogation tent for now till new humidifier gets here. Any other questions man feel free to hit me up. lots and lots of sleepless nights to figure out the bugs and work around, but I doubt you harmed them if in veg, it's just like if it was raining. now flower, keep at 35-45% humidity is what I've researched for mold free tight nugs, but veg seems to be the more the marrier lol!
thanks! I got my alarms set now and a camera inside my tent so I can monitor them when I’m gone. this isn’t the first time my controller went haywire. I don’t have the AI model but I think my power probably flashed off and reset the WiFi and screwed with the controller. I unhooked my vent because I didn’t have enough slots to run everything else. I’ve been considering upgrading to the AI though.
honestly I like it. I had some bumps and hiccups when I was first getting stuff started, but now it's all reached homeostasis. I don't do much except water and prune now that the T3 is replaced that was failing. I'm pretty stoked with the new update as well. seems like they listen to feedback and with automation being my bread and butter you can imagine how upset I got lol, but they fixed almost all of it. really happy they fixed the CO2 and light sensor polling so I can have dual light chambers in my Propogation tent

Yea I may have overreacted. They kind of blew up over the weekend lol. I got a grow camera and alarms set for Christmas so I can hopefully catch any problems.

watered with regular water. the plants are doing well and don’t seem to have any signs of WPM or stress. the big ones are ready for a topping and trim. tomorrow before they go to sleep I will probably top and trim them and give them a good spray with Dr.Zymes. they have all had good growth over the weekend.
I topped and trimmed these girls pretty heavily. I tied down branches and used training clips on the PKB and just topped and trimmed the PotG and with a little time and some more training I think i can get a pretty even canopy. I reorganized my plants and will probably keep them in this order through flower. I added a camera so now I can monitor them while I’m away and set alarms on my ac infinity so I can try to prevent random humidity spikes.
The PKB are drinking faster than the PotG but they are catching up in height. It will be interesting to see if I can make an even canopy for flower. Right now the PKB are spread to far out.
Recharge has been a game changer for me. I have always used a diffrent brand, but switched over this grow. My ladies are loveing it
Me too. I haven’t PHd my water since I started using it religiously. I also have really high PPM in my well water (~1100) and using the grow dots with recharge changed the game for me. I used to bottle feed and it was a real pain in the ass to keep everything healthy.
Watered everything with recharge. My canopy is getting pretty dense. I will flip the lights Wednesday night/thursday morning of next week. Getting close!
Im going to my soil mix after my current grow. I havent heard much about recharge so I'm super stoked to watch your progress. Looking great!
Is that going to be the Platinum Kush? I mixed the same amount of GrowDots in my last grow, in the PotG and the platinum kush breath. The PKB has had nutrient burn for atleast 2 weeks so it takes less nutes than the other plants I’ve tried so far. They are still looking good but the soil is a little too hot.
Yep. The 2 platinum and 1 GSC are going to soil. Might give away 1 of them if the other 2 are doing well still. Im trying to take notes on products that will help out the flowering stage. My girls now in main tent are on Athena, but that's expensive and no room for error if I go to hospital or have to travel. Wanting to ensure success lol
I’ve used Gaia Green before and it wasn’t bad. You can use an inert soil and mix it in with worm casting and then top dress every month. The ratios are veg- 70/30 444/284 Stretch 50/50 444/284 Flower 30/70 444/284. You can look up Mr Canuck’s Gaia Green mix and watch some of his YouTube videos.
They have grown 3-6” over the last 2 days. Hopefully the will stay under 5’ tall from the soil.

I trellised and lightly trimmed my plants. I watered with Recharge and added a lil CloneX to one plant to try and correct an N def. Easy money for the next 6 weeks
Now thats is a sea of green for sure great work keep up the great work
