it's growing, week 3. 2'9. put a fan in. again I can't do anything about the lighting. if you could recommend one, I appreciate it.

it's growing. almost a foot before the top of the tent.

not sure if I am doing things right. she is a feminized auto flower. seems very healthy. any tips or recommendations are appreciated.

you’re sure it’s an auto flower?

Raiofsun

yes. or do you think it is a male. I it on its vegetative stage it has new growth after super cropping

I can’t tell tbh. you need closer and better photos to be able to tell that. some won’t show sex until right before flip or after you flip the light schedule.

Raiofsun

I have been cutting the fan leaves so that the new growth gets the light.

Raiofsun

somebody was saying if I am running out of room. then nothing I can't see that comment.

Stash

Hopefully you can run it outside if you run out of headroom. LST early on helps mitigate this issue, while opening up the canopy for even light distribution so you don't have to take so many fan leaves. The problem you got now, is that it wants to take in more light but has no available way except to grow closer to the light to get it's daily dose of DLI. So by stripping the fan leaves, you've inadvertently are causing it to stretch more. If it were me, I would ready up some more 🫘 and start training earlier on.

Raiofsun

so my light is inadequate. ugh. thanks may I can clone this one and get more light or better lighting. IA ma just a bit afraid of setting it outside since this is the wettest summer we have had. it is raining every so often. that I don't want it to rot away. but my watermelons and tomatoes are liking it.

Stash

I have no idea if your light is adequate... I was just pointing out that you need your fan leaves for proper photosynthesis. the more you strip the more it'll stretch to get closer to the light to increase PPFD. By tying/staking/trellising (Low Stress Training/LST) you can bend and manipulate branches to open up nodes for proper lighting vs defoilation. You can't really clone autos like photos... you can always try, but chances are it will trigger the flowering cycle in both the cutting and the mother. The clone will spend roughly 2 weeks of that flowering cycle rooting vs fruiting... making it a pointless endeavor IMO. If it was a photo... I would say chop the top and use it as your clone and give yourself a fresh start.

Raiofsun

it is inadequate

Raiofsun

nice comment. I appreciate your honesty. thanks I am super noob and have been using the AI in this app so thanks for your personal experience. so you mean I can do some bonsai type thing

Stash

Here's a good starting point. From there go on youtube as there's plenty of different techniques and styles that people use. Find whatever is best for you and what you have at your disposal. https://www.growweedeasy.com/low-stress-training-lst

Raiofsun

thanks I am reading the article and steps to do lts. if it don't work I'm fine with it. I may have some buds. thanks for your insight

Raiofsun

where do I chop the top and start fresh. and or steps

Raiofsun

Stash

There's various methods... Hopefully this will help you figure out what's best for you... I suggest you watch a few. https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=5ad38c5eed156038&udm=7&fbs=AIIjpHxU7SXXniUZfeShr2fp4giZ1Y6MJ25_tmWITc7uy4KIeiAkWG4OlBE2zyCTMjPbGmMU8EWskMk2JSE__efdUJ3xRFvZ0M2vJLB0hUMk5HOE2OjlycQYRp9vQECfaBtuI77VBixuZT8Ikq7knPIraxtLcXUn-925YP4AZPohtCshEMzz_HYh-s2jy_GenEFZtSggFj5UruF1QvDnKbUPJW54S8V0hw&q=cloning+cannabis+tops&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjv9a7UvcCPAxWYAHkGHVSdHhwQtKgLegQIThAB&cshid=1757036230499592&biw=980&bih=1786&dpr=3.5#ip=1

thanks I did so bonsai technique and broke in half so now I the top but it is not growing roots. the plant seems to be alive.

Stash

how long ago? It'll take a few weeks to root.

Raiofsun

My plant is stuck on vegetative state. It has not grown any buds. I think it might be my lite as someone suggested.
