everything is looking good!

Growhaus_Zinzinnati

Appreciate the tips again! Used what you said for cloning and applied it to these seed starts. 🍻 Cheers to our future endeavors πŸ’ͺ🌲

I’m excited to see how your orange cream pop turns out. I was literally just looking at those seeds on Humboldt seed company. I’ve had the strain before and it’s A great smoke.

Growhaus_Zinzinnati

Smelled a jar of some curing which was the reason I grabbed the strain. Very excited to see how it turns out as well 😸 thanks for following along πŸ™Œ

nice , looks like a healthy happy mother

Growhaus_Zinzinnati

Thanks Canna! Super excited to have two seperate space to grow now. Just need to light proof the flower tents air intake before I change the lighting to 12/12. Thinking just using some spare cardboard to make a box with interior baffles to trap the light to keep cost down

CannaBee99

can u use a black nylon stocking or some window screen . will also keep any pests out . hard to see where u need to block light . my tent in garage , I use screen at end of my duct to keep pests . Also use Black duct tape to tape it off

Growhaus_Zinzinnati

I was planning on using the air screens that are already included on my ac infinity tent to save on using ducting and making a screen. Problem with that is the room the tent in has bay lights installed and is trafficked enough I can't keep the lights off reliably so have to put something on the outside of the existing screen to block the light.

CannaBee99

I see what u doing . the passive intake screens on bottom of tents is getting light in it ? take a tote box cover & lean it against the bottom vent on an angle so air can get in & still block light out . or use a dark sheet & deal over the entire tent . air can get in the vents but block light out . try the tote . give me a few minutes & I will take pictures of what I talking about . I only grow outside in summer but I’ll set it up to show u

CannaBee99

not allowing me to send pictures of the tote in front of screen to block out lights . just take the top of a tote box & lean it against the tent on slight angle so air can still get in but block light out & see if that helps

Growhaus_Zinzinnati

All good Im pretty sure I understand the logic I'll give it a try and see thanks for the advice πŸ™Œ

Smokie_Herbolario

that’s looking awesome! when you go to extend your lighting in the future look into the cheap fluorescent t5. they have the 2 bar 4’ lights with the 6500k bulbs. like $50 light to cover a ~2x4 space. low cost low energy lighting for mother plants.

Growhaus_Zinzinnati

Thanks growmie! Tested my foam sealing of the room today and it's working perfectly. That led I got off Amazon says it should cover a 3x3 area and was I think 59 on prime day. Still need to test the light readings off it to see if it's what was advertised.

strawberry sour and orange creampop doing well

Slow steady growth makes me happy as I'm not ready for cuttings anytime soon. Just water when needed and watching for nutrional needs.

Moved the old mom outside and transplanted her clone in pot to replace. Strawberry sour and orange creampop should start growing a bit more now that the light is closer. Watered all with some recharge

The three mothers doing well almost time to take cuttings. The Dr nefario has crazy vigorous growth compared to the other moms it will be interesting to see how they perform when flowering out in the same tent from cuttings.

whats your cloning method? mine seem to like SURVIVE but seem to take forever to get roots or die before

Growhaus_Zinzinnati

Hey Ben, Cuttings dipped in Clone x rooting gel and inserted into root riot cubes in a clone dome on top a seedling mat. I also will pre soak the root cubes in some water mixed with recharge then sprinkle some great white mycorrhizae In the cube before I insert the cutting. I normally start seeing roots as early as 3 or 4 days with a full rooting in under a week.

I use my Aloe plant mix the gel 50/50 with distilled water, let them rest in it for a couple of minutes then sprinkle cinnamon onto the cut and place into a rapid rooter. Dome it & 1-2 wks later they root everytime. The plant itself cost me $6. Been thriving for 3yrs and has shot up tons of pups along the way. It soaks the rays from the windows. And hardly ever need to water it.

clones for next run

Took cuttings from the moms. Monitoring the clones and once confirmed rooted the mom will be thanked for their contributions and be taken to pasture. Their leaves will be collected and used for morning smoothies or possible topicals.

DocRollin

why do you trim the leaves like that?

Growhaus_Zinzinnati

Hey Doc, from videos I have watched of industry professionals they trim the top leaves like this as well. They explain that it allows 1 for more cuttings in the tray without overlapping leaves and 2 that it is a signal to the plant that bugs are eating it which prompts the plant to make new rooting to help defend from the eating bug and make new leaves.

DocRollin

thank you very much!

B_Dude

Looks awesome man! Can't wait to see the magic happen!
