Lemon Cherry Cookies, Purple Haze and Strawberry Gorilla Grows
Grow Timeline (51 updates)
Purple Haze is starting to yellow alot more now. looks like nutrients deficiency mixed with its normal fade
Get yourself some unsulfured blackstrap molasses 1 tablespoon per gallon once a week that stuff works miracles trust me
In what order would I add that in? I'm using CalMag, Micro, Gro then Bloom
Use the molasses by itself in water molasses helps them with calcium and stuff so I actually just started yesterday giving mine couple tablespoons a gallon of molasses and I topped dress with my root to organic bloom
So I would just do the molasses by itself and however, youโve been fertilizing with everything else do that other stuff separately from the molasses cause that stuff is messy and very sticky and you really have to mix it up well.
what is your EC coming out?
Sorry I only know ppm. ppm we're 1440 coming out and ph 5.9. I watered today with plain ph'd Tap water and now ph went up to 6.1 and ppm runoff to 603.
I think you having pH issues due to salt buildups. salt buildup can swing your pH real quick, you'll flush and it'll seem fine but then just swing back up. 1400 ppm is kind of high. if it were me I'd flush with pH'd 10% nute water at 3x the container size. (if you're in 3 gallon container, you'd use 9 gallons) then when ready for next feed, feed slightly lower ppm and make sure you're getting about 10% runoff. unless you're in living soil, ignore everything I said because I have never used it. this is just what I'd try, could be wrong I haven't grown in soil in a long time
I'm in Happy Frog soil. So I should've added more then one gallon of water then. I stopped at one gallon since everything looked normal. Why do ppms go from 1440 to 603 in just 4 days? other plant stayed high was at 1500 and dropped to 1040
checking runoff is just a quick snapshot of what's in that part of the root zone that the water went through. you can get some corrections with a smaller amount. like with your gallon. surface salts and salts that are in the bottom of the root zone come out first. some salt is really stuck into the soil can takes quite a bit of water until its released, sometimes salts will leach back into the water that is sitting in the root zone. the 3x amount is for a full strip. when you're watering try to do 1/3 the total amount, wait 20 min then give the rest slowly. salts can accumulate in drier areas and in heavy root mats. giving some and waiting helps dissolve some of those stubborn places. next few watering/feeding monitor your runoff EC. you want what is going in to be what comes out
ppm drop because the plant is eating. they are going to eat at different rates. what is the EC/ppm of what you are putting in?
ppm going in 4 days ago when I fed was 530 then Yesterday plain tap water ppm was 200 ppm going in
if you're putting in 500 and getting back 1500 you have a build up. it's good that your last watering brought it down, you're on the right track. just have some more work to do, soils tricky like that. takes a while to fix. next water give a real healthy dose of pH'd water. pour slowly until you get a trickle off run off, then give the rest 20 min later, again nice and slow
So one plant ppm runoff was 603 should I feed that one next time or plain watering still? other plant runoff ppm was higher at 1040
id feed the 600 a little lighter than normal, if you feed 500, go for 400. doesn't always correlate that way but it's a start. most important is to feed and water to 10% runoff every time
the 1040 just pH water
okay thank-you. Also I'm in Happy Frog soil and using General Hydroponics nutrients. Do you feed, feed, feed or Water, feed, water?
sometimes water sometimes feed. there may be a few imbalances going on but correcting your lockout should start to help
why does that usually happen? I didn't start feeding until like day 35 since Happy Frog had plenty of nutrients left. The ppms on the feed chart indicate what should be going in and not runoff right
pH gets out of wack because plants selectively uptake nutrients and discharge different ions based on what they took in. this causes slight imbalances in the soil and many of the nutrients share the same receptors so if there is too much of one it'll block out others. it's much more complicated than that but that's way beyond my ability to explain. I use about half of what my nute schedule says
that's why its better to underfeed then overfeed
Transplanting is not recommend for autos. once tap root hits bottom of container it starts to flower. next run start in biggest container possible for your space. you need lots of soil for big plants.
yeah I guess I got lucky on my first grow. I transplanted 3 autos and those grew into some monsters
Watered the 2 Mephisto Plants Yesterday with 1000ml of Distilled Water each and Today FastBuds Zkittlez got 1000ML of Distilled Water
been watching Mephisto Genetics YouTube. I think thatโll be where I get my seeds next, imma follow this grow ๐ฌ
It's my first time trying them out. Ride along ๐ ๐
looking great!!!
appreciate it. There getting bushy
my last grow i did mango runtz by mephesto check it out. it did well.
Just checked out Mango runtz. she looks tasty!!
both yalls look Amazing, imma have to definitely do my next run with Mephisto and I have Sour Diesel from Seed Supreme. what do yall recommend from Mephisto?
That 3 Bears OG from Mephisto looks ๐ฅ Im growing Aunt Ginny's Elixir
I have the 3 bears going, got 10 seeds. so far so good very strong genetics
Does that one grow tall or stay short?
looking droopy aren't they?
yes they we're thirsty. I had just got done watering them when I took this Pic and it had been 5 days without water
Oh I got ya, I'm new to growing so was just wondering, so when it's time to water it's normal for them to drop a bit? Then perk up after watering
Exactly. They'll droop down when thirsty and perk right back up afterwards. Also when there overwatered they droop down as well
I haven't been waiting quite until they droop a bit, I believe I should start giving them an extra day before I water, they're still very young tho. Baby compared to yours
Thank u for your advice by the way
Post some pics of your plants
lookin thick
thanks. she's stacking up nicely
