Grow Timeline (18 updates)
She’s coming along. The strawberry photo is now popped. I’m gonna wait until morning to check to see if the taproot Is actually gonna come out of this one. No water today, thinking about giving her first round of nutes tomorrow 1/4 strength fox farm big Bloom. Any thoughts?
You might wanna transplant when its dry to a 1 gallon fabric pot or at least a red solo cup. The clear solo cups can burn the roots because of the light reflecting
Start of the second week of life for little miss lavender. Will most likely transplant this week into final container as long as the growth continues towards veg. I’m afraid she is still too small to take the stress of a transplant. Final container will be 3 gal pot. Coco is buffered and inoculated with castings, guano and micro rhizines. Using fox farms 3 part lineup with boomerang for those beneficial bacteria.
Need to cover the outside of that cup if it's clear that's no good for roots ninja
Should have started it here and didn’t wanna wait and have my roots get that light damage from the cup being clear. The strawberry popped and looks very happy too, But the broccoli tomatoes and beans are doing surprisingly well too 🤓
Yw 😅🤔😉

😄
😅🤣
Letting her dry back out after transplant. Picture was yesterday. She looks better today. The strawberry is doing great today too. Popping another lavender just in case this little trooper doesn’t pull through. My humidifier should be here tomorrow

That's nice. That's why you use cheaper lights for veg an a nice better light for budding
Thanks 😎 they got 3 sizes, 100, 150 and 200, dimmable, daisy chainable, and they got 2 packs. Best find yet. We will see if it is worth $75 as opposed to 200-300 for something comparable.
That's a hell of a deal. I got mine for 80 an it's only 150w. So what you gots a good deal.
#homedepot shout out! Where’s my sponsorship? lol 😆
That's actually a good idea message the company see if they want you to review since I think they are new I've never heard of that company!!
Yea I only paid 170$ for my 500 watt shzlux and it’s built well great cheap light full spectrum u can get a 800 watt for 35o$ so yea there’s some good cheap lights out there that’s for sure
I am on a tight budget too and I went to FB marketplace and got a California lightworks solar Xtreme 250 LED light for 80 dollars only used once for a flower cycle not even a full grow! Jackpot money in the bank there right? They retail at 350 at the cheapest bonus he has another he's giving me for 70 unused!

Finally installed the carbon filter in the tent, transplanted the Photo Strawberry haze up to a 3 Gal. Plastic pot her roots just started circling and looked extremely happy. The seedlings in the solo cups (anesthesia auto) are going into their final pots and might finish their life outside once it gets warm enough.
Someday I’ll get a carbon filter I have a vent but no carbon filter yet I’m told it’s not necessary unless u worried about the smell . And I love it so no carbon filter lol
Pretty mutch ,the carbon filter just helps w smell the vpd going through the intake is making vpd up or down you have to correct is till its at correct vpd n humidity and temp the carbon filter is just for smell the intake air passing through filter is what you should focus on till they are in flower . Then worry about the smell but for now just control yr vpd to correct numbers.
I had a different in-line fan set up. This one is smaller quieter, and I don’t mind the smell. But it came with the fan. My VPD has been all good since I got my humidifier.
I’m just happy they’re happy 🥺🥲🥲
Also, I have learned to only install my carbon filter for the last few weeks of flower, it makes it last more grows if you have less humidity passing through the filter.

Any tips or advice y’all have for what I’m doing? I can’t quite identify if it’s nutrient lacking or toxicity like maybe I don’t have enough nitrogen in the lavender that’s in the coco. she keeps pushing through, but maybe she needs more cal mag? it’s the oldest growth. The tips of those leaves keep going yellow, and I’m already doing full strength dose of cal mag. I slowly increased and it seems like it helps right after I feed, but it doesn’t last all the way through till next feeding. I know that some strange can be really thirsty for cal mag. and LED lighting can make it need more but maybe I just don’t have enough nitrogen. What do y’all think?
Looks like nitro to me man if it was cal mag she would be gettin rusty spots the yellowing is lack of nitrogen it’s eating itself basically or best bet is check your run off could be a salt build up as well early toxicity 🤔
Is it in straight coco and what nutrients are you using?
Thanks I hope I can fix the nitro deficiency
The lavender is in home buffered coco coir. I amended it with earthworm castings and perlite. And I’m feeding Fox farms lineup.
You’re amending EWC and using big bloom?
Using big bloom, grow big, boomerang once a week with molasses to feed the microbes. I just started tiger bloom this week so she’s gotten two feedings of it because I saw signs of pre-flower. I amended the cocoa with EWC in the beginning to make sure I had some sort of nitrogen in there to start. It’s my first grow so I was going in real light with the nutes to start so I didn’t want it starving of nitro, but maybe I wound up starving it anyway by not upping the grow big to full strength? I was just told that full strength on Fox farms lineup isn’t required. but the bottle says one amount and the charts say another. So maybe it’s something with my ratios. Or maybe I need to up pot? if I up pot, I’m just going to throw it in bagged Coco Loco. Then I could see if I’m root bound on the bottom and need a taller pot. But I don’t wanna up pot it if I don’t have to because I’m about to be in the stretch going into flower.
Give it a cal mag Foilage spray and check ph and EC but I’m thinking she’s just hungry since you’re in coco.
OK, I’ll do a follow up supplemental feed today. I don’t have an EC meter but I always check my pH. I think I’m just gonna switch over to happy frog and ocean forest. The ones that I’ve started and been tending to in those mediums just seem a lot healthier right off the bat.
I’ll try my hand out a photo in Coco since they’re more resilient as opposed to these autos.
The Cal mag spray… is that just water cal mag and I spray it? Or is there a specific product different for foliage spraying?
Yeah the bottle should say on it but when you Foilage spray the main goal is to spray underneath and not on top.
OK, so like the underside of the leaves?
Photos smoke better anyways plus you can do more with them and they won’t freak out or wreck your harvest. But I’ve switched from a hot mix to a soilless too so these girls are gonna get HUNGRY.
Yeah I normally only spray the underside of leaves unless they really need it then maybe when lights are off I’ll do a quick canopy spray

Switched the lighting to 12/12 so a little early for the strawberry bush, but I think she’s ready to stretch. The clones are in the old tent with a few new seeds a day or two from sprouting! Got Northern lights, lemon cherry gelato, and critical mass 2.0. Hopefully will get a few clones off of these before they go to flower and I can keep it going!
Gonna keep a close eye on your Lavender auto, I grow some photos last year and they were not very good
I’m popping a strawberry haze photo now in place of the anesthesia auto because the seed got dry and cooked and I don’t know if its coming back. the strawberry might wind up being a mother to practice cloning because I have never cloned or had a really successful grow. actually putting forth the effort this go round.
