super soil doing good i think... and those bag seeds didn't make out the tunnel
waiting on heat mat to go again getting colder by the day
throw em in regular water for Cpl days in a shot glass or small glass n sit em in ur cabinet out the way⦠when u come back and see lil tails on it they will germ rest a way in ur soil or coco if u put them in tail down just keep that light dialed in on her for 24 hrs until u see her pop up out that soil..
if u donβt wanna wait on a heat mat that is
I did that with peroxide they germed but never surfaced
wait a bit longer. it may take a bit for the seedlings to break through soil
genius Juice x Cinderella99 on the top left mystery seed #1 top right and still waiting on mystery seed #2 to pop so I can drop, gave them some take root before dropping in soil and watering a spritz got my heating mat so thinking things should happen pretty fast
hey for the one single is that peroxide and water I tried it but it didn't work
yes sir had all 3 beans in it that was the only one that didn't pop
the mystery #2 has popped but I'm gonna wait until tap gets lil longer
what was your ratio and what type of hydrogen peroxide I know it's got to be a 3% but I've also heard it's got to be a food grade
what was your ratio and what type of hydrogen peroxide I know it's got to be a 3% but I've also heard it's got to be a food grade
did you have it in a warm dark space like in my pic I'm on the heat mat in my grow tent with lights out
did you have it in a warm dark space like in my pic I'm on the heat mat in my grow tent with lights out... I used maybe 7-10 droplets of peroxide to that lil bit of water tornado stirring both directions and let the heat do the work
yes it was in my tent on my heat matt
how long has it been in the tent
all 3 of my seeds popped in less than 15hrs if it doesn't do anything in 24hrs I'd suggest moving them to a sandwich bag and wet paper towel with peroxide water mix
oh I left it in 3 days per the research I did
oh I left it in 3 days per the research I did
genderella juice 99 was the first to pop and she sprouted just as fast πββοΈ the mystery seed #1 popped 2nd and followed genderella with a quick sprout now mystery seed #2 is still anchoring but i feel like she's gonna pop her head up real soon
OK I'm gonna need a lil guidance with this when is the best time to remove domes
usually when they have a well developed secondary leaf set.
these 2 survived a 2hr no dome test on day 2 out the soil so when I came back to check them they were tipping to the side I think I had my light intensity too high with dome off or just humidity... ALL 3 HAVE ARISEN "FEELING LIKE FRANKENSTEIN DOC
sorry bout that video it was 1 sec too long tried to cut the sec and wound up posting 1 sec vid
backfilled those 2 since they came out of the ground 3 days ago for genderella and 2 for m #1 I figured let's get that out the way b4 we water a lil these are b4/aft pics the center is drying on the b4 and the aft isn't
Just noticed they all have 2nd set of true leaves starting to show
Whatβs your main way of germination? straight to soil or water?
best way to me is the water in a cup method π lil bit of peroxide to kill germs heat mat and dark space boom you'll know if you have duds in 12-24hrs had 1 pop in 4-5hrs with this method
yeah me too. thatβs always been my best results with just bean in the water
started seeing Lil gnats lingering around had to throw some stickies up to help combat along with a cheap as$ fan for now anyways I invite any feedback for my girls, just want to get the hang of it all I got a cheap setup with a will to be great attitude at this so I'm not so much here for quality or quantity as much as I'm here to learn how to do this almost in it's rawest form so that the next run goes smoother than the last or at least the variables I alone can control much appreciated
I'm only on my second grow, but there are a lot of knowledgeable people on here and they are all helpful. I learned a lot by seeing everyone else's grows. Your seedlings look nice π
thanks I'm really tryna keep the environment dial in, I'm seeing these babies take off but I don't really know the logistics of it all just yet hoping to get a better understanding as I go... this is low budget so I'm more hands on then automated every chance I get I'm in the garden
use a red solo cup over that clear cup . u dont want any light hitting the root zone . u have drain holes at bottom? u can use red solo cup & empty it after u water , dont leave water sitting at bottom. clear cups great for cloning u able to see if it has rooted but always use dark color cup to cover it up π
thx I was afraid of smothering the root zone if I double cupped
should there be holes in the red cup?
as long as u have good drainage in the clear cup u can use the red cup as catch basin & empty any water run off . best way to water a seedling is to use spray bottle so u wonβt have water going thru yet . overwatering is biggest mistake new growers make . we always feel like we need to be doing something to the plant . less is more . so just spray top soil so no stunted growth & u can spray away from base to encourage the feeding roots to expand to search for water & u be good
u will be good ,wont smother the roots . u can use one cup but a dark color cup .what soil u using ? u dont want to use soil that has a lot of nutrients in it . u will hear the term hot soil which means soil mix with high amounts of fertilizer in it . Fox farm happy frog is good for seed or seed starter soil & pro mix is good
the soil they're in is my "cold" mix... organic soil coco pumice vermiculite worm compost
should be good , u can always add more perlite on top & it will seep thru & aerate soil , just watch soil doesnβt get compacted fluff it up without damaging roots & u be ok π
I have a 4 month feed super soil I cooked up it's done waiting for seedlings to move in to veg so can transfer
I started my hobby all because my wife bought an i can grow can. now im starting to get more things to be better at the grow. my first two attempts failed because the first one I overwatered and drowned her second attempt underwater and caught mold but my third attempt is doing pretty good
Ai is pretty much at the wheel I'm just part of da pit crew
sounds good u can always scoop out some soil at the top middle & add plain soil & let the seedlings grow into the soil mix . whatever works best for u
she been doing the most out the 3 hasn't stood straight since she popped her head above ground cottoledon been stuck in that position got me stressing hoping she not getting stressed the others doing great i mean besides the lean and cottoledon she looks fine but she doesn't look all that happy to me
root zones looking good almost ready for transplant might do GJ99 first since she's showing what looks to be like she ready for some nutes give here a couple days to develop roots more to grab hold of soil when transplant occurs, m#2 is fighting to catch up to the others roots look like she should be ready when I'm ready to transplant m#1 so things going well
transplant completed for all 3 of the girls lil mycorrhizae to help stabilize, had a lil trouble with m#2 but she should pull through gave all a lil ring around the roses of water this was done right before lights out so hopefully they have a good time digging into the new space with lots of nutes to explore when they're ready... hoping to get that extra explosion to the 4th and 5th nodes so training can start, we want healthy buff and all around robust with trichs... pics when the lights come back on of the transplant outcome excited to see how they take
this was pretty successful transplant now just waiting for them to take-off hopefully in next days to come
Nice! Thats a good feeling
it truly is before I left they looked like they were spreading open more so I'm expecting so growth when I get back
got some great news my vivosun 6" fan come in tomorrow hopefully my humidifier and cam come like by Monday
cam comes tomorrow too excited to use that to keep watch over the grow with quality picture
long time no hear "admin"
Performed actiontype.watering
The 4th node is very injured the 1 with the first 5 blade leaf and I think the 5th node has lil it's from the accident
Lil ptsd
They should bounce back
Doesn't look bad at all, she'll probably be the strongest
I hope so... got a few things to help stabilize the environment now realizing I may very well need a cooling system to keep it dialed in for flower
Maybe not in the pic but in person it looks like she may lose a limb from this
Vivosun is holding this grow together without it I'd be toasted by now got the humidifier waiting for them to restock heaters lights out gets lil too cold for my liking... any comment or concerns be my guess π€ͺ
Looking good ππΏ
Thanks gonna try to turn 3 into 6 let's see if I got that midas touch
Cloning or topping?
Cloning my topping
How much are you chopping off?
Just the top 2 nodes coming off
My only problem is I need to be able to keep humidity stable for the clones I'm hoping I got what I need to make it happen
Humidity domes and putting clones in a smaller space so the area can hold the RH better
They would be dead anyways if I didn't try to Frankenstein them... cut down 2 nodes off the top not much of a stem but my cups not big and dome is small also so had to cut back lil extra leaf to fit inside without touching overall i think cloning was a success wish I had pics of me getting it done... anyways check back in a couple days with my update on how mother's and clones take
Coming along nicely
Those clones did not make it... soil was too hot for roots to take
Things seem like they calming down starting to perk back up still a lil stiff gonna try to give them another day to recover then we move to the next phase LST I've been looking forward to really getting handsy wit the ladies... for now gonna water and try to keep vpd in range
This is dec 19 just to be clear
This is something new I guess π€
Gave all 3 plants a top dressing of 1 tsp of 4-4-4 and some soil added atop that then watered with distilled water hoping this stops the yellowing issue besides that got some lst going seems to be adjusting to training
What strain is the third pic? The leaves on that one look real peculiar π€
Idk the strain it is mystery seed from brothers grimm the green tag and the yellow tag both mystery and blue tag is genius Juice x Cinderella99 aka genderella juice 99 all same cultivar
I'm gonna go for a transplant into 5 gallon pots in about a wk so NYE or NYD I'll go for it
Have you used the 444 on previous grows it could be burning your plants
This is my first grow so I'm just going with the flow my plants haven't had any extra nutrients
If you find that 444 to be burning your plants. Try cronk 3 part im using it for autos and photos it's working great and it's fairly cheap
Will look into this thanks
Waiting on my trellis, garden wire, and binder clips medium then I can really have some hands on with the ladies
As we can see i switched from the fabric pots during the ic moment no nutrients just soil, vermiculite, and pumice just till they feel stable and making new growth
Damn glad I were able to save her
I'm greatful for the opportunity to save them learning hands on is my favorite way to learn tho it pushed the end date back a bit but still the knowledge is priceless now I know how not to water, and how to do a root wash
Bro that's real as fuk was always told growing up knowledge is power and power is knowledge and the only way to get knowledge and power is through asking and learning Hands-On if you ever need any help feel free to hit me up I got you
Officially entered the rebuilding stage of this rescue watered in a ring between the edge/stem slowly with pinch of Epsom salt in 500ml of water and top dressed soil with 1/2 tsp gypsum and mykos
Best of luck growmie!
Ps! All my clones got scraped the soil was too hot for them to root in so yeah we lost those but good news is we can always try again right before I flip to flower with whatever I clip that I feel will be flarfy
Looks like a G13 , I been growing & testing for Brothers Grimm forever . There couple G13 one is Airborne H13 & another one is Genus 13
They all brothers grimm genetics green and yellow tags are mystery seed and blue tag is the genius Juice x Cinderella99 tester
These were taken a few days back been lil busy but still keeping up with it still hasn't dried all the way back but almost there, will feed just 1/2 tsp mykos next watering no cal-mag, looking for the root system to rebuild and reboot so these girls can become Yung ladies.
The girls are looking beautiful and getting big
Trying to get them back on track all the way hoping for speedy recovery
If they are photos u will be just fine you can veg for an extra week or 2 and u will never know but if there autos ur doomed it's a wraps and u will be lucky you get OK bud and not a lot of it either but I have faith if you to get them back on track and acting rite
Photos
I'm afraid to run autos right now my setup has stress written all over it... lung room is too dry and when I do run a humidifier in the lung room it's more or less a waste still feels like I'm battling vpd
Looking awesome man! Can't wait to see how they develop.
We got the girls in flower finally... upgraded my operation to perpetual tryna pump up the volume other than that we waiting on a few gadgets for the grow but all in all glad I decided to jump in and start my dream job as a hobby
I need to make a clone set up like that lol
It will pay for itself on the first run... I got 10 clones in a 30+ site phycloner just need clonex solution I went w/o the gel but I had hormex b1 hormones to help... now I got experimental material for redirecting into the seed making field just cause we β€οΈ π π β£οΈ π π this
Do they need humidity dome?
Not really if you have the means to have humidity high enough not to have dome
The phycloner is Mag-Nif-Fi-Cent worth every penny as long as the ph temp and humidity is dialed in rooting is bar none I'm 10/10 with it and im 0/2 w/o it
What u do to get thick roots to grow like that on clone
The machine does most of the work I just kept the water at the temp and ph levels they need to survive which is between 68-72Β°F and 5.5-6.0 with the sweet spot at 5.8
also no worries bout that blurple that was first light I purchased needed some use out of it b4 I toss or give... my real setup won't be using those lights
still waiting for them to anchor them roots, taking longer than I anticipated but not too worried about it because I'm not setup in my real grow environment
are there holes in the bottom of those cups?
I'd hang on to that blurple light for a back up....something happening to your main light could be disastrous
