Grow Timeline (17 updates)
June 10th all Master Kush sprouted, June 11th all Gurilla glue#4 Γ Samsquatch all sprouted using Ribby's planting method, mixed alot of soil with Real Growers Grow dots. Should be a just add water with Recharge weekly. Two, 24"Γ24" inch lights are in the mail for the back 8 autos, not sure what to do with the extra GGS might gift it to a friend or something
Im sure the others will rise up soon. What size pots are you goin for?

Good stuffs. I heard that putting autos in anything big is just a waste. I think ill go for 3 gal for mine just so i can have more growing during the off season
There's a few videos on you tube comparing autos in different size pots check it out you might be surprised
if your growing sea of green in coco coir that's different I see alot of use 3 gallon doing that just fine

I used the you tuber Ribby' s "Green Magic Gardening" method skips all paper towel stuff, Just fill a cup up with the soil you use take a turkey baster which is great for early watering and give each cup about a shot glass of water then make a 1/4" hole in center of soil place seed lightly cover and a very light sprinkling of water. If you think about it the seed is in a warm dark place your not moving the seed around in a paper towel or cup water you just put the seed in dirt

Iβm using growdots for my photos and Iβm really liking it. the plants have stayed healthy the entire time. Iβve been watering with well water with ph of 7 and around 1000ppm straight from the tap. recharge every other watering and no PH adjustments in fox farms 70/30. I really like it

according to Scotty, the microbes populate by the roots and they regulate the PH in the root zone so as long as itβs not way off itβs supposed to self-regulate
That is really helpful cause I water the sea of green I'm doing with GH nutes low between 5.8 - 6.2 After the second time I watered with Recharge the runoff was around 6.8 which I'm guessing was microbial life making themselves comfy by raising the pH

it really is. thatβs what Jeremy from BuildaSoil says too. he has some really good videos. I think I would eventually like to have a no till living soil. he really gets into the soil biology.
Got it mostly set up hopefully. There's not very good exact steps for using Grow Dots that I can find on the internet as near as accurate as this app could do for logging steps. Plants are under (2) Spider Farmer se3000 set at 25% 30 inches up will go up to 40% around week 3. I am going to water at 7.0 pH, Smokie_herbalario said that's his go to pH for Grow Dots and his grows are really good and I think he knows what hes doing. The fabric fabric Bud Pots awesome There's a metal ring at the top that holds the pot openπ Eventually the grow will be 4, 300w lights and it will be just the 8 autos in the tent. How I'm gonna move around in the tent I haven't gotten that far yet it is gonna be a challenge

15 grams or 3 teaspoons per gallon. itβs the ratio I used and I working good for my grow.

I use a RV water filter attached to my hose spicket & it is a 7 PH.

I usually start veg at week 2 but I'd say there in veg

The 4 Master Kush were given 4 L's (1/4 L runoff) except one was given 2 L's ( no runoff) plain RO water nothing added
6.5 phI am going to raise pH some, the runoff of 3 was low 6's. EC runoff was crazy not going to worry about it plants are fine grow dots release stuff and don't want to flush especially plants show no signs they need it. The 4 Gurilla Glue x Samsquatch that I know are autos don't look thirsty yet. I am not sure the Master kush are auto's a big pot head mistake on me. I'm keeping the humidity to 60% avg temps been high in low 80's kpa 1.2-1.4

Second Pic MK right / 6 hours after watering they perked way up, when lights came on @7 they were drooping a lot, was pretty confident it was a water issue looked back it was about 2 1/2 days since watering of 2 L's kinda thought it was to soon but they perked up after watering.
Took the time to pull out the plants get a feel of the weight when watered and 10% bleach cleaned the tent

Update first pic 2 1/2 days since watering when lights came on all plants a little droopy the one that got only 2 L's more droopy. Second plant pic is first MK I grew same age but topped, I think I'm getting a little better, and 3rd pic is 48 hours since watering and no visible difference in amount of water
Not going to veg very long I want to flip the lights by the 20th, I need to move some plants to different tent still need to decide what and where to move
How do you know when to switch them to flower? My girl keeps growing but once she flips they say she will stretch like crazy.
And I don't want her to outgrow the tent
They usually stretch twice there height but have been known to quadruple in size, genetics is a big key to knowing what your plant will most likely do. I'm moving the 4 autos to there own tent maybe this weekend things keep changing, the 4 photos I'm planning on flipping at day 40 from sprout July 20th or if they hit 2ft tall they are 18 inches now, they are indica dominant so not known to get saliva size so I should be good. Every plant is a little different I've seen people only veg like 10 days to months. Just expect your plant to double in size at least so factor in your tent height, light height so your plants don't get to close and burn
I actually would love to veg these for like 8 weeks but due to trying to be done before October, Minnesota is to cold for me I'm moving south, I'm going to flip way earlier than I want, I made a pothead mistake and thought the Master kush were autos. I messed that up so I'm trying to flip where before the end of September they are ready for harvest
Ok ok, I see what you mean. I'm coming up on week 6 and this is my first ever grow. Should I consider maybe switching to flower in a week or 2?
I don't think it is your fault I think your plant should be farther along but I don't think it's anything you did I think it's poor genetics from where it came from or just a bad seed. I can't really tell by your plant and not knowing what it is genetics wise
tbh the plant was given to me by my father in laws friend so the genetics are probably pretty shaky anyway. My next plant will be from Royal Queen Seeds
2 Liters RO water every 2 to 3 days pH around 6.7 - 7, so much easier than mixing nutes Grow Dots makes really easy

using grow dots for the first time on a clone and it's already caught up to its mother but why ph to 6.7 or 7 Im at 5.8 to 6
After I use my nutes I want to use grow dots and recharge!
I water 5.8 to 6.3 in coco coir, but for soil my understanding is to water w/higher ph
Going to start adding cal mag to the grow, and bend the tops over to reduce light intensity. Not to surprised about cal/mag deficiency cause grow dots has low cal/mag amounts i should have started adding a couple weeks ago going to add a light feeding of Kool bloom cause I have a full bottle that needs used

Trichomes still clear no amber hairs, they are close since adding cal mag it has helped plants have rusting on new growth at the top. Going to go go straight water now its a grow dots grow so I can't flush everything

Trichomes are getting milky very little amber

Its fairly inexpensive I use the 6 AA battery option and sometimes you gotta shake it for it took work and I cut off the 3 little plastic nubs that stop the pump from touching the bottom and if I water to fast I hold the pump to the bottom and slow it to trickle
was actually going to ask about that pump I use a large weed sprayer with a handle and wand noozle this pump looks way better. Thanks for sharing mate and that top right bud is monster looking π₯π
I see your using grow Dots on these autos. would you recommend giving it a try. Seen it been advertised on few grow channels was curious π€
Its actually been really easy did add cal mag im using RO water. The photos im using grow dots on are smaller cause i flipped really early due to time constraints but that's on me the plants are extremely healthy and had no problems with those. The medium you use should be low in nutes like ocean forest i heard is to hot

I'll have to give them grow Dots a go then nextd run, will be buying that pump. The medium I'm using now just needs to be thrown away that's how I fucked up my grow. I normally run a organic Australian line called ozi magic.. reused my medium from last run like a cheap arse ππ€¦. would of been fine if I didn't change nutrients
It's amazing what they make nowdays... I scored 2 rechargeable pumps that utilizes drip feed for $10 each. Worked flawlessly for my breeding chambers as I didn't have to open the tent the entire flowering cycle and works although not ideally for my small veg tent. The only reason it isn't perfect for the veg tent is the variety of sizes of the plants as it waters consistently. In short you have to dial it in to the smallest plant which means I have to suppliment some by hand.
Trying the induce stress a day or so before harvest on 2 plants. Going to traditional hang dry but harvested a few little buds to mess with the herbs now dehydrator. last pic is 12 hours in dry trimmed like suggested. Trichomes are around 15% to 20% amber occasionally some clear ones but mostly milky im hoping the extreme stress of stabbing her causes a trichome hormone defense increase. π€
have u tried this method before the spiting any good?
First time im hoping it triggers the plants defensive instinct to increase trichomes for self defense
I have heard of people doing that I think some people just drill a small hole there

I've used nails in the past. Usually in tandem with an ice bath for final flushing.
what is that green thing you are using, is it a trimmer?
It's a herbs now dryer, i dried 6oz of pineapple express and after 96 hours they were Krispy but after 2 weeks in curing jars with boveda 62% humidity packs the buds are extremely dense and sticky sticky im traditional drying most but experimenting with this machine
weed is smokable not my best so my excuse is it's ruderalis, ditch weed, but for how fast she grew was incredible does not like nutes it could probably grow in cement dust but a I learned don't mess around transplanting at all, my fault I dropped one plant as I transplanted as a seedling the minor shock caused the plant to be a runt the whole grow and ended up being 40g lighter. Was being sarcastic about autos growing in cement but they are hardy plants never once went into any type of shock except the one I dropped had some nute issues using RO water there is no minerals or calcium so I had to add cal mag. So if using grow dots and RO water they craved cal mag. I grew 4 photos exact same medium mix and they had 0 nutrients issues so not sure what that was about.
