Grow Timeline (8 updates)
I went to set up the autopot, and it looks like the local reseller gave me some of the wrong fittings. This is a brand new autopot, so everything should be 3/8", but:
- Round root control disk, rather than square to fit the pot.
- Only sold me one tap, and it's 1/4".
- Didn't sell me a grommet for the bucket / resovior.
The reason I went to the local reseller was so that I could have them sell me the stuff I need do that I wasn't chasing orders. 🤷♂️
But, my seed is sprouted. Tent is setup, but I'm going to be fighting the cold and low humidity. I have a small oil heater but it's not powerful enough to really heat the lung room, and same with my humidifier. They're in the tent right now, but I'll run out of space as the plant grows.
Pics from the last few days. I tried turning on the autopots on Sanday morning. I was lazy and didn't really check on it, and one of the aqua valves wasn't quite in right. The tent flooded. 😭
A cheap pump cleaned it up pretty easy. Look to be rocking and rolling now.

Autopot really makes things easy. I still check on my plant twice a day, but usually it's just looking at them and going, "that looks pretty."
Ok, usually I'll rotate the pot and some leaf bending, but just chill and low key. ❤️
Thinking about going with auto pots but unsure how many n what size to get for a 5x5 tent that I do autoflowers in
It's only my first autopot, and my second grow over all. I only bought one pot to test it out. I just got the 3.9 gallon pot. Autoflowers, as I understand it, generally cycle so fast that there's not much benefit to a bigger pot.
Trimmed and cleaned her. She's a bushy little girl.
Also mixed and added some fertilizer and water to the resovior. I'm not really sure how much water it's been drinking on a daily basis - I need to rig some way to measure it in the resovior. The most remarkable thing is that since I don't have any runoff and am not doing drain to waste is how much LESS water I'm using than when I was done twice daily manual high frequency fertigation.
