Grow Timeline (14 updates)
Sprayed a very very small amount of water around the edges to promote outer root growth using 6.2 ph tap @11:45a. Noticing some stretching across all 3 plants with the lights at 45% at 27β from canopy using the TS-1000 light 18/6. May have to run lights at 50-55%
u can add some soil to protect the plant from the stretch . lower light to 24β & that will help keep it from stretching to much
what do you suggest i run the power at? Currently donβt have a PAR meter
eu can always start at a lower level & raise the dial up . does the light manufacturer have any recommendations for each stage of the plant ? it should or u can always reach out to them & see . every light company has there own recommendations
Noticed one of the leaves are really curved, but the rest are straight one one of the 1gals. All other seeds seem to be doing okay besides the stretching. once the true leaves fully develop, Iβll add more soil to all pots. Dropped the light from 28β @60% to 18β @35%. Humidity ranges between 70%-80%, with temps ranging from 70 degrees - 78 degrees.
Cotyledons turning yellow at almost week 3. Planning on starting nutrients once they fall off. humidity between 65%-70% with temps ranging from 72 degrees to 78 degrees.
Last time I watered the plants (10/31), i accidentally went to runoff and completely overwatered them. They all drooped and started yellowing. Theyβre starting to slowly bounce back a little, but the soil is still pretty saturated. 1st pic is before maintenance. Last pic is after maintenance (Mixing soil around, refilling humidifier, NO WATERING), turned up osc. fan to help dry the soil. Hoping within another week, they all start growing again. if not, Iβll be starting over in solo cups. Really hoping Gorilla Melon bounces back (5gal).
I transplated the 1gals as the soil was not drying out quick enough. This is 2 days after transplant. Gorilla Melon shriveled and died, and I think another plant is on its way out. Not mad at all since I learned what NOT to do. Itβs all a learning experience.
i plan on letting these last 3 play out until they actually croak over.
looks like a lack of nitrogen. like that's really yellow all around. possibly a pH issue causing lockout.
whenever I did water, I watered using anywhere between 6-6.5ph bottled water. The water in the humidifer ranges between 6-6.5ph too. I never fed nutrients, but it should be way further for them being a month old than they are now. I know overwatering is where it started for sure.
u probably transplanted to soon .lot of times u need a plant spray for juveniles cause they don't have much roots .with autos u plant in your final pot u shouldn't be transferring nothing on autos .just trying to make sure a few people don't make same mistake as me
That makes sense. i started with photos and planted in their forever home, and that was mistake #1. I have one more Gorilla Melon photo seed that ima start in a solo cup. Iβm losing patience on the other 3 plants as i feel like i permanently stunted them. idk what to do at the moment.

u want to let it get it's first set of leaves before u transplant .but like I said plant your last seed in its forever home .that will be mistake number 2 .trust me that week it takes for the roots to get going kills your harvest cause your plant will flower when it's 30 days old if it's a auto .hope this helps !
use a sprayer & only mist around the base, to much water deprived the plant of oxygen. biggest mistake new growers make . everyone makes mistakes. get a sprayer & just mist the top of soil . remember there no roots yet so the soil doesnβt need to be watered .
i have a few runts in my batch that's all because of oversaturated soil during germination. too much stress for the tap root but the color is always good after a day of struggle
Thats a great way to look at it. βThe Soil doesnβt need watered, the taproot does.β I can actually follow that.
Did any of yours get as bad as mine, and bounce back successfully? I made the executive decision to pull the rest of the plants. Iβll be starting and posting a new grow starting tomorrow.
u can spray away from the base so the feeding roots search out that water & start expanding the root system. just dont saturate the soil to much
i have two runts that started with one baby leaf. they never bounced back but they did continue to grow just way slow. my 12plants in my tent was from like 20 seeds. nothing wrong with starting again if your not liking the progress. I would put them outside and just let it play like gladiator. one might survive through winter
I made the executive decision to pull them all and restart. I have more knowledge now than I did when I 1st planted these. Iβm ready for attempt #2. Stay Tuned πͺπ½
I'm with u on attempt 2 shi at least you went farther than I got lol my bag seeds didn't anchor due to several possibilities
Sad to see the plants go, but happy you were able to learn from it! Good luck on grow number 2 my friend!
I agree with @beard120 good luck on the next round. Dm me Iβll send you a few beans from my latest harvest if you want.
I GOTTA make it work lmaooo. i aint pay $400 for my smart tent kit for nothing π€£π€£π€£. We gonna figure this out as a unit.
heck yeah high five
let her dry out π±
thats the plan. gave it a lil too much water when i planted them.
bet that strain tastes good
i heard nothing but great reviews. got it from FastBuds.
