The DWC is a waste in my opinion, the all in one smart grow box doesnt have enough of a strong light for veg, much less flower. Ibhave it turned all the way up, 5 gal container so plant is closer and drip irrigation. Light only putting out bare min of lighting for veg. I turned it all the way up, but this is its last grow. Im going to give it away and get a AC Infinity set up for a single plant.
What makes dwc a waste?
The modules pump button doesnt work worth a darn, the bubbler intermittently turn off. I gor good root structure, but I was trying Vivosun nutrients. I even got all of the ones they recommended, experienced bad growth, stunted plant, and ended with smelly water due to bubbler. Plus its super loud.
I think it was the vivosun system itself. Could work great, however there's always modifications to achieve such greatness. Dwc in itself can be loud due to the air pump. Its one of the many cons of the hobby. I think if you try with buckets in a regular tent you'll like it way better. 👍🏿
I 100% bet youre right. The light is my biggest problem. I want to take my Viperspectra XS 1500 Pro and put in there. Not that light is bad ass. The light in Vivosun and the low quality (high cost also) nutrients weren't worth it at all. Imo . I did get Cronk Nutrients (Bonnie and Clyde) and the CalMag with Iron to try out again on a Autoflower, might get one of the autopots to try it in.
I definitely would love to see it! Hydro is underrated, there's just a learning curve that some go through. I know i have. Change the res weekly and stay on top of ph then you're good 👍🏿
Added gallon water at 6.8ph, stash blend, calmag 5ml, and 10ml of Grow A and B. Watered through plant.
Defoliate, bud clips and tied down. Topping done after 3rd node already. Plant looks very healthy, strong stems, great color, vast growth.
Light isnt strong enough so left it after 10.
Checked tricombs, mostly milky. Waiting 1 more week or so then harvest.

How long they been flowering? I'm seeing mostly clear. But I could be wrong too.
Milky you'll have the most potent, you wait for amber you'll have more couchlock effect, depending upon your goal harvest accordingly
The light in this Vivosun all in one grow tent sucks for flower. Its just not powerful enough. Im betting they downgraded the light to help with heat in this little tent and not having to up the fan or something. Its all a balancing act. I just wish they had a way of hanging an aux light in there (like my Viperspectra XS1500) to finish out the job. Yes this will just be my seed tent in the future, but this inaugural grow is taking alot longer than expected.

Welp, hatvest day is here! I gave this plant 12 weeks of flower time to mature more. Ive finally came to the conclusion the vivosun tent just doesnt have the umph in its light to finish strong. Im happy with the 4-6% approx amber at this point. Ready now to start this tent as my seed tent for each grow. The plant is so heavy its twisting over the main branches and the Gas is out of this world. Love my seed company that I got my genetics through, literally strong plants and great smoke.
