Grow Timeline (28 updates)
Tent filling up very quickly now clones looking well rooted up the solo cups quicker than expected the use of recharge along side the great white mycorrhizae leading to killer root growth. 5 gallon fabric pots
man these clones are killin it. good job growmie. youβre about to run into my perpetual problem of too many plants and not enough space haha
Thank you! Yeah, space is what I'm thinking about atm.... May end up taking two of the clones outside to see how this cultivar Handles outside when it's time to transplant the seedlings to make space in the tent. That and finding/making a space for my mother plants

mother plants are pretty low maintenance. and remember you donβt need 30 tops on a mother. you only need enough to supply your clones. that will help you save space.
Moved these two outside a few days ago to see how the cultivar handles outdoors.
Did no hardening of the plants before moving outside and they are looking great even with the heatwave we had here the last few days
those ladies are lovin outside! it will be interesting to see the difference between indoor and outdoor if the same plant
Very excited to see the difference between them. Want to collect as much info on this plants pheno expressions so I can compare it to the other seeds of this genome I plan to pop later
where did you get the genetics from?
Feed me genetics. Is a cross of their jealousy cultivar and a sol fire genetics cultivar called bloc monster.
thatβs whatβs up. have you smoked it before?
This was a limited release drop so have not tried it. I've smoked a ton of jealousy in flower and live resin. This is supposed to have similar terp expressions with some Chocolate expressions that sounded interesting to me. I was recommended to the breeder by a local cultivator. Special seed drops are their specialty. They take a house Hunted pheno and will cross it with different genetics from popular breeders and realese all of them in a special release.
I went to the website and looked it up. sounds like it should be pretty tasty.
I have some plants outside growing and last night thunderstorms gave them plenty of water... nervous it might have been too much
Are they in Containers or directly in the ground? As long as the soil is well draining you should be fine and any overwatering should recover quickly

they are in 5 gallon grow bags
Grow bag so like a fabric pot? If so they should be draining just fine.
Fixed the issue with using the tent screens for intake. Using an old air purifier that broke. The filter blocks light from entering the tent or escaping.
I have a 4 inch inlet fan coming my way bc I fear once I switch to flower my inlet hole will let light in sonetimes.
nice! thatβs a pretty good idea
First time setting up a scrog still need to do some defoliation as they stretch.
good luck ππ
Thanks CannaBee π surprised how quick the plants recover from being tucked under the scrog
these plants are really resilient. they take a ton of abuse . they use hemp plants to remediate toxic soils & using it around Chernobyl now . so they can handle a little scrogging . as long as u not breaking to many branches. I donβt use any trellising . I canβt bend down & move around . I also like to take my plants out to water them & rotate them . I pump em up with silica & just use bamboo stakes . scrogging works great. there a guy on YouTube called the northern scrogger , if u not familiar with him or just want to learn some tricks he the best at it

I feel ya on the bending down part π I have a milk crate I sit on and a pump sprayer for that reason. I'll have to check out Northern scrogger I watched Matt from strain shows video on it and Smokie_herbolario gave me some tips too.
definitely check out the northern scrogger thatβs who all these guys probably learned from . he been at it for awhile. I ran an illegal commercial facility & we never scrogged . so I never really tried it out . i like the look of the canopy & if I could I would have definitely given it a shot , Iβll be checking yours out that for sure
πͺ
looking good! Iβd defoliate today. and again in 21 days. strip most of whatβs below that trellis.
So far so good. Slight feeding of maxibloom was done yesterday
Did you use maxigro during veg? Because I got the 3 part maxigro maxibloom and Kool bloom. I'm just waiting for flower time. And are you supposed to flush before flowering starts?
Yes I used maxigro and cal mag during veg following the maxi series feeding chart found on their site. Koolbloom is technically not part of the maxi line but I also got it as others have to use as the bloom booster near the later weeks towards harvest. You do not need to flush between veg and flower if your feeding correctly. If you are regular watering between feedingg you should be naturally washing out the salt buildups
Realized these are my clones. For the. Clones I did not feed any maxigro. Just used ocean forest soil since it's pre fed and veged the clones for 2 weeks afters up potting
yea I have been watering between feeds. Thanks for the sauce. lol. is maxi the only nutrients you use?
My current nutrient line up is the maxigro and maxibloom paired with Cali magical cal mag. Dry koolbloom to be useed as a bloom booster. Then I use recharge from real growers for soil microbes.
nice I have the same lineup in powder form. I don't have cal mag this grow it is my first grow. lol. what's recharge never heard of that
For their outside feed chart they don't recommend additional cal mag so you should be good. Recharge is a instant compost tea has good microbes that help your soil provide and breakdown nutrients.
ok I'm gonna look into that tea. is there a time I'm suppose use that or it's up to the grower.. thanks you MasterFreeKill for the advice
You add it to your water once a week is recommended. Also good when transplanting or starting seeds/clones

The clones in the 3x3 got some water with a dose of recharge last night and they are stretching and starting to show flower development. Did some light trimming under the canopy on any slow growth and trimmed a few upper leaves to allow a few tops some light.
Ok I see what you were saying. Looking at your past 6 posts she really did come right back from your under defol
Took some photos of the canopy and two of the developing buds
she looking good. are you going to do a second defol?
I see people say around day 21 of flower to defoliate? How much of the fan leaves should I trim off at that time?
I just trim off anything covering a bud site and then strip the bottoms again. you can look at the difference in bud development from your uppers to the very lowers. if they look tiny now they will be tiny larfy buds at harvest. itβs usually a lighter defoliation than the first.
what's your thoughts on recharge? any good would u buy it again
I have not had experience with other microbial tea supplements but I was impressed with what Ive seen. The fact it's easy to get and alot of homegrowers report using it is another plus in its favor. Stash blend is a recent one with some more additives that I've seen circulating the grower YT channels recently but I have not seen anyone here say they are using it so that may be an alternative to look into. Either way some sort of microbial support is important even in synthetic gardening as they help your plants take in the nutrients they need and help maintain a good pH for your grow medium.
Thanks for the tips!
I've been using plant magic it's not really for bud but has all the right stuff it's a kelp tea with calcium and it's live .it's like stash it's expensive I know that but anytime I use that I go up to my grow room next day and all I smell is skunk !!! but maybe stash is better idk I guess I'll find out !!!!
The full strength maxibloom has seemed to help the plant start packing on more weight and the leaves have begun shifting towards purple hues. A few pistals are turning from white to orange as well.
Very cool spear like structure to the flowers just starting to notice some very slight tip burn on the fan leaves.
Im surprised she doesn't have more yellow leaves.
Frosty!
Like the Zugspitze I'm seeing snow capped peaks! ποΈπ₯Ά
love your closeups Zin
Thank you! I've been having fun with it and luckily you all don't mind me sharing them daily π€£
I just order a microscope on Amazon and had to return it while it was shipping. they refunded me and never send a ups barcode for so I get to keep it. hopefully I can post some shit like those.
This is just using my Samsung galaxy's camera and using the 108m camera lens but a microscope will definitely help you get real close up.
Most of the pistals are still very white. Chop won't be until at least week 9 and they both are still taking in alot of nutes.
okay thank you. after watching a few more videos on what harvestable bud looks like I def want them to keep going a little longer
Just keep checking the trichome heads on a few bud sites top and lower and give a few a smell and you'll know when it's time.
Thank you for your wisdom!!!
I got a Samsung Galaxy as well, figured out the pro uw and that's why I was returning it. π
Hell yeah πͺ another fun tip is using a "expert raw" camera app so you can dial in the photos and the silly Samsung Ai doesn't try to alter your photo π€£
thanks, looking it up now
beautiful plants βοΈ stacking up nicely
Thanks Smokie π alot of time and dedication to dial in this grow and it's paying off. Now just gotta ace dry and cure (hoping the curing chamber makes that a breeze) and then start getting some tasters out to some of my local growmies to see if it's worth my time saving a Oz to enter in a home grow comp in November for shits and giggles.
Iβm excited to see how that curing chamber works out. I bet your plants turn out good. I would definitely enter into the comp. you might be surprised how well you do
It's been working great as a storage cooler for my current stash of flower and rosin. Excited to share how it does with everyone on here, if it works as expected it's pretty much a $1600 cannatrol I made for around $300. If I end up entering the comp I'll make sure to make a journal and bring yall along for the journey.
Starting to add dry koolbloom to feed to help ripen the buds in time for a week 9 flush and harvest week9/10
GOD DAMN dude looks like you had an indoor snowstorm over there! Crazy frosty, amazing work!
Thank you so much for the praise and support π been watching your autoflowers run and I gotta say your flood to drain hydro setup is so clean! I've just sourced the parts for a low pressure aeroponic set up for my next run as I'm looking to try some new soiless techniques. Happy growing and cheers to our future endeavors π»
love the color!!! happy buds
Appreciate you Krazie πͺ they are smelling a very pleasant lemon with white chocolate smell and cookies (reminds me of a cookies and cream Hershey bar with lemon zest on top) the waiting is the hardest part π
real pretty I love seeing them dark spots like that most people love purple bud . I love the dark kind with black n grey in it
She is a looker, the purple has gotten like blackberry dark as she has ripened, a pretty contrast to the orange and cream colors pistals. Thanks for checking out the grow!
it's great watching a bud riping the colors! I'm going to be running obsidian drift soon that's a real pretty one and uk narcotic
sheβs stacking up nicely!! I bet it smells amazing
Oh the smells are Devine. Really starting to smell the cocoa and a slight gassy funk. Just been scoping the trichomes now and patiently waiting for that perfect time to chop, wet trim and stick in the diy cannatrol.
that does sound really good. Ill have to get me a pack of seeds. Iβve never had a cocoa strain before. Iβve always wanted to try Chocolope. James Loud has a Chocolate Runtz (Chocolope x Runtz) that I want to try as well
Chocolate runtz sounds good. Candy gas and cocoa sounds like a good combination.
Plants looking good trichomes still clear to milky watching for signs of amber.
look so damn good!!!! π what your secret?
No secrets here my growmie! Starts with solid genetics then a solid environment with stable vpd and a well fed medium with good microbiology to provide the plants with nutrients. Dial in the macro first then focus on the small dials to tweak and perfect. This grow was all about creating a SOP that was as brain dead as I could make it while still focusing on quality finished product. So let's start with the macros I discussed previously. For genetics went with a breeder with a track record of strong f1 genetics that would be vigorous and very resistant to stress or sickness (feed me genetics). For me environment Im using a grow tent ran the tent in the space empty except light, exhaust, and fans for a few days to track the temp and RH to determine what additional gear was needed. Also added a bucket of water for two days to see if I was gonna need a dehumidifier for the space once the plants began transpiring.
Once all that was dialed in it was time to pick medium and nutrients. For medium I just wanted a quality potting mix with some microbes if possible and some other beneficial. Got some bags of roots organics and mixed it with fox farms ocean forest I got a deal on from being open bags. Drains well enough for the roots so no complaints. For nutrition I went with maxi series from general hydroponics. I chose this option because it is a buffered chleated 2 part solution that covers all the macro secondary and micro nutrients the plant could need. With a fed to drain set up using fabric pots it's feed to drain wait for dry back then water with recharge for microbes then feed to drain and repeat till finished. If your in veg it's maxigro and in bloom maxibloom, I wanted it simple this is about as simple as it comes. Only add to the line I did this run was koolbloom which was at the advice of other maxi series users that use it last two weeks before flush to promote rapid ripening and bigger blooms.
so close, yet so far. this is the best and worst time of the grow haha. I have to keep myself from getting chop happy
they sure are pretty
Thanks for the praise and follow growmie! Hardest part now is just having to stare at them every day and realize it's not time to chop yet π€£
yah thats my favorite time in the grow watching thhem big pretty buds swaying ing the wind
Nothing but plain water and checking trichomes. Top fan leaves are fully fading a dark purple. Some of the buds look almost white with the amount of resin glands on them. Buds are super dense even the spears/foxtails are dense to the squeeze.
Sweet baby Jesus! Absolute π₯!
Sweet!
Thank you for the praise π
Sweet like candy gassy like fuel π¬β½π
Sampled the hash from the outdoor and the initial dried flowers with folks who helped fill out some pheno tasting cards for me so I could come up with the name and lore. Happy with the finished flower it is a very calming smoke very potent indeed. Loving the gassy floral notes.
Sooooo......BBQ and smoke out at your place this weekend is what I'm understanding? π
Haha π maybe one day it'll happen. Perfect time for one with all the oktoberfest festivities around town. Munich may have the largest festival but Zinzinnati still holds the record for largest chicken dance ππ
Ironically, I live about 80 minutes away from Munich lol
Very nice! Did you take the time to check out the festival in Munich? I can only imagine how massive it is. With the new laws in Germany I wonder when there will be a choptober fest π
I was there back in 2003 when I was stationed here as a soldier. I haven't been back in the 17 years I've been here as a civilian. You spend most of your time waiting at Oktoberfest, and the prices are insane. There's plenty of smaller fests that go on that have the same stuff, just on a smaller scale and much cheaper. When your shitfaced dancing on tables singing songs you dont know the words to, it doesn't matter if there's 200 people or 10,000 people doing it around you. the fun is the same π
Love going to the smaller festivals like our local schutzenfest or local goetta fests. Your right the vibes are better and you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for a bratwurst and beer.
A lot more family friendly
awesome! looking good!!
wanna try clones when is a good time to clip them
When your topping or pruning the plant can be a great time but any time once the plant is fully matured but before flowering is good. YouTube will have lots of guides on the matter. My suggestions from my first attempt is using root cubes like the root riot cubes I used or another brand and then using recharge or other mycorrhizae products to charge the cube with some good microbes for the roots and clonex rooting gel. A good clone/seedling dome and seedling mat are also big ups.
