Grow Timeline (26 updates)

I'm impressed I was able to fill out so much of my 4x4 with just two plants
Good looking plant matter right there. They got some strong ๐ช looking branches to support all that weight to come!

Whatโs your verdict with the under canopy lighting? yay or nay.
Thank you! Vegged for 2 months in rockwool, I've never seen stems this thick in person it's crazy solid. I spent a lot of time "knuckling" and crushing up the main stems with pliers during veg
This is my first run trying undercannopy lighting. I'll be able to tell by comparing the branches towards the middle of the tent vs the ones on the outside that aren't getting any under lighting. if it works well I'm gonna go for some Craft Farmer style bar lights. His videos are what got me to try undercannopy in the first place
Nice! always fun to play with the ladies
right on. I have some cheaper red/blue leds as a small suplimental lighting underneath.

Not as impressive as the Frozen B.A.G from my last run, but these ladies are getting decently frosty right now. I might give away some clones at my locak hydro store
That one image with all the tops looks like itโs AI generated lol

I've made some mistakes this run..
I went way too hard on the lighting. i think having strong and close overhead along with the undercannopy lighting was way too much. You can see the light bleaching on the right plant in the pictures :(
I also found a singular seed in the left plant. It's on an upper bud, I have searched THOROUGHLY and have found no signs of other seeds or bananas or herming anywhere else.. I'm praying this is some kind of immaculate conception Jesus seed. I feel like a farmer chasing down hooligans with my shotgun trying to figure out who impregnated my daughter. Hoping nothing else goes wrong before harvest!
I'm struggling with the same issue definitely went a little too hard on the lighting. had to dial my 1000watt hps back to 750watts then 600watts and hoping to see a difference in next few days to a week. if no difference I'm just gonna go back to 750 watts for rest of grow. I didn't have any light bleaching happen just alot of tacoed up leaves

anyone have tips for getting more uniform plants? undercannopy lighting didn't work well for me.. maybe partial/staggered harvest?
I'm in no way an expert but I'm wondering what your room temps are looking like? what main light are you running?
try super cropping the taller ones. signals hormone response to fill out lower shoots helps even canopy. also if you donโt want a lot of stretching when in veg keep nighttime and daytime temperatures the same.
Temps have been ranging a lot from 70s in the day to 55-60s at night some nights. my main lights are a couple 200watt LED panels, 2x vivosun 200w aerolight
thanks for the advice! I'm also thinking of doing a partial harvest to let the lowers get more light
hmmm, those temps sound good to me .. idk man your crop is looking pretty ๐ฅ

It's beautiful, haven't seen this before
A welcome side effect
they're putting on sunscreen!!!! or producing anthocyanins if you want to be all sciency
what ppfd were these under to influence that stress? how close were the lights? and what are you pushing now on them?
didn't measure ppfd too often. i had a Vivosun 200W aerolight about 5-6 inches from the top of the cannopy blasting at 100% as well as a Vivosun 100w on the floor facing up as a undercannopy light. i took the undercannopy away and lifted the upper light to about 12 inches above the cannopy
keep the under canopy. itโs just ur top light was too close

took off all the purple tops, leaving the lowers to develop and fade
Beautiful! Congrats on the harvest!
thank you! my drying fridge is smelling heavenly ๐
that pink color has had me following every picture closely. any idea what may have caused it? is there a technical term for what has happened?
the whiteness is from led light bleaching, I caught it about halfway through flower so my best guess is that after I eased up on the lighting it "healed" a little and that pinkness is anthocyanins expressing, guessing it would have been purple if the plant was still green and non bleache
aaaaahhhhhhh okay. Thank you. well done sir. they look great.

so it seems like the partial harvest worked wonders. took the top colas on Friday, it's now Tuesday and the lowers I'd left have gotten fatter and turned purple. i just took off another layer of colas to expose the greens under again, I think this next phase I'll leave for a full week before taking everything left
aw yes, harvesting done right ๐
looking awesome!! good job setting that all up . I donโt have patience for that .
love the colours

get it!
your pictures have been super helpful for me. thank you for posting! I've got a decent sized op, 5 plants flowering, 5 in veggie. I'm working on my 2nd harvest. the topping and training have been my biggest challenges. really trying to make sure I get the most out of each plant
good luck man. if you found my pictures helpful, look up 420autoflower "growing scrog" thread on autoflower.org, over a hundred pages of master level rockwool training info
I most certainly will! I apriciate the info. there is so much info on the internet it's hard to decipher the good from the bad. I also notices you use Rockwood as medium. I am using soil but I'd imagine the process is mostly the same when it comes to training and such
yes it is! I'd actually go so far as to say training in soil is way easier. you're able to stake the plant into the dirt easier, vs with rockwool you need to hook your training ties to stuff that isn't the medium. if you're looking for a good plant training regiment, I'd also recommend checking out HyperActiveHighs mainlining tutorial on Youtube. Works well with soil, lot faster and more direct compared to scouring that thread for info ;)
I can't thank you enough! I apriciate all the knowledge and sources!
