Grow Timeline (11 updates)
Realized I haven't updated in a little bit. The plant has been growing slowly but surely. I attached a photo of the nutrients I have. Is there others I should be getting?
Appreciate all the help!
I also grabbed the FF Bushdoctor CalMag. And you can use the Grow Big with the Big Bloom during veg
Fox farm trio is supposed to be a decent trio for growing. Just make sure to follow a feed chart. Since growing indoor a cal mag supplement is normally recommended as well I have been using general hydroponics Cali magical. If your looking for more explosive growth it may be more likely another factor like your light intensity or your vpd or even down to something genetic or your microbes in your soil. If your not already using a microbe tea for your soil recharge is a very popular one thats easy to use and I've had fantastic results with.
I feel like an idiot but what's a soil recharge? π€¦π»ββοΈ
Thank you! Just ordered the bushdoctor.
It's a product called recharge by real growers. It's a instant compost tea that has alot of beneficial microbes that help your plants take in nutrients and gives better overall health. You use it to water once weekly to enhance your soils microbiology
Highly Reccomended!!
Noice!! <3
Ok thank you! I think I found it on Amazon
I like how others are bringing up soil microbe life. Highly important when regarding plant health, nutrient availability, and even the plants ability to heal and fight pests. Microbe Life Hydroponics specializes in products that feed the soil and I cannot recommend them enough. On their website, you can find a free sample box, same box is available on Amazon for $40. You can also inquire about their new product, Terp-C, which is a product focused on terpene, flavonoid, and flower production.
Gotta feed that soil. Microbes make a night and day difference once you experience the difference. Using microbes for my clones got me roots in 4 days vs the typical 6 to 10
Looks like the sample box on their website is $34.99 unless I didn't find the correct one. But I'll order it regardless. Would love to try it out though!
I would email them first to see if you can get one for free or at least the Terp-C sample. Otherwise, their base line of products works well with any plant that uses soil or coco as a medium.
Got recharge composite tea alot of you recommended. I will start it tomorrow with my next feeding.
Curious if and when I should start putting in stakes/netting.
Thanks again everyone for all your advice!
what I would personally do is get some training clips and bend those branches over then top them when they are pointing back up. manipulate your plants to fill your tent canopy. you can install a trellis in flower to support heavy branches.
Yeah you can def start some LST with these babies and make em bush out some more
Never heard of training clips but just looked them up on Amazon. Thanks!!
Thank you! π Going to start it in a few days.
Thank you! π Going to start it in a few days.
Binder clips, I just found, are really helpful paired with some rubber garden wire. You clip the clips around your pot and fold the hoops up so you can tie your branches down. I have cloth pots so it works for me but if you have plastic or clay pots idk hiw we'll they would clip on.
if tou don't want to spend money you can make them out of coat hangers and bend and cut with pliers till shape needed.
Was told to add more nutrients so did that on my feed tonight. Also added more soil as well as microbe recharge.
We added fans however I'm unsure if they're placed correctly.
I worry about my plants! π
Planning to change lighting next week so want my plant healthier by then.
best time to feed is two hours after the lights come on
That's good to know. Thank you!
One thing I've learned as a beginner is to point your fans towards the walls of the tent and not directly on the plant to avoid wind burn
Looks like way too much wind with the fans. Turn them down and you want them placed one below the canopy and one above. it should be a Gentle breeze!
I thought so too! I moved both of them above and I'm going to put a trellis in soon as well. I should have already done it π€¦π»ββοΈ
I would recommend putting in bigger pots do some low stress training with a net then let them veg another week or 2 then increase wattage in light once you flip
The brown one is a 12 gallon pot. How much bigger should I do? Also my tent is only so big so I'm trying to do with what I can. I've been doing this for five weeks so I assumed for the 6th week I'd do the switch. But if you recommend waiting a week or two then I will. We're also working on putting in a net hopefully tomorrow π€
oh nevermind on increasing pot size then. Iβd just lst with the trellis net to fill out the tent then flip.
*3rd time writing this damn thing because I keep swiping down.. π π€¦π»ββοΈ.
Finally added a trellis! (definitely going to do one earlier next time around).
We're debating adding a second one though?
I think I fixed the fans as well but if it's still bad please tell me.
Also the yellow tint on some of the leaves is still there but never got any worse so I'll take that as an ok sign!
Curious to see how this flowering process will go
*I edited the post and fixed the fans
I do it all the time and have to start over also haha π I thought it was just me!lol
π. I'm hoping what I did is ok! We might add another trellis but not sure yet.

turn down your fan. the plant donβt like it like that. is like a hurricane π nonstop. put the fan gently so the leaves just move just a bit. Thatβs good enough and you can move your trailers a little bit up higherβ¦
Agree fans way to powerful. If can't be turned down then need to be angled to not hit the plants directly. For the trellis you could raise it a bit so you can tuck the growth under as it grows into the trellis. Otherwise those plants may reach the light before they stop stretching.
Thought so.. The person I'm doing this with claims that they need it but I put the fans facing up so it's not as strong.
Do you think it's better to do that or make a second trellis?
I edited the post and posted a new video. Please let me know if this looks better
I would add a second trellis but wait 3 weeks until they are done stretching. you will want to support the tops in lat flower.
nice
the first time I tucked mine under the trellis they looked so weird I didn't want em under there tucked like that so I did one to see and one I left alone ,but the one that I tucked worked better some how but you can also get bigger buds when left alone and not tucked I've seen some times so it's all preferences but they look crazy tucked the first time you do it you'll Tripp out like is this really how ??!!?

Started lights 12-12 on 7/24.
I think it's slowly but surely starting to flower.
Or so I thought.. A few hours later they started to curl.. I'm not sure what to do!! π€¦π»ββοΈ
looks good I bet ya sheβll flower nicely
ty for the likes on my photos
for me it took like two weeks to really start getting excited by what I was seeing after I switched light
The leaves just started to curl out of nowhere!! I don't know what to do
feed her see how dry she is
make sure ph is on point I use 6.5 on my meter always
maybe uptick light a bit at this point Iβll increase light intensity amount of water I give them ( I hand water) and amount of nutes during the next couple of weeks
Not dry still a little wet so it doesn't need water. I'm thinking its my lights
ya up tick that first good idea
We found new lights brand AGLEX. But they won't arrive until the 7th. I don't know if they'll hold on. Although it looks more like one is doing it than the other.
you might want to check for mites? I hear they make leaves curl but I donβt think thatβs your problem
can you lower the light closer to the plants
No mites luckily. I keep getting mixed messages about the lights being too close or too far π€¦π»ββοΈ
the only real way to know if your plants are getting accurate light is through a light meter I have one on my phone but eventually I buy one
looks like it could be a nitrogen toxicity. or a lock out.
I'm letting it dry out and then I'm going to flush it out with distilled water and do a light feed. I'm just worried of over watering as I'm unsure if that's also my issue.
One of my plants is looking good. The other is continuing to curl. I'm trying to let the soil dry completely and then I will do a flush with distilled water. I'm just concerned if water was the issue in the first place, I hope I don't screw it up more by flushing it with distilled water.
That doesnβt look like a water issue to me. If anything maybe nitrogen toxicity or potassium issue. Hopefully everything gets better. Be patient! I can send you a couple videos on yt if that would help you determine whatβs going on.
It does look like a Toxicity the way the leaves are "clawing" downwards. When was your last feeding? Can you crank your light intensity any?
I unfortunately think it's done for. I'm trying to let it dry out. But it's jsut not happening and the leaves are starting to crisp. I'm just glad I still have one plant holding on.. π. My lights do not adjust but I did just get new lights that do adjust

Unfortunately both plants have died. I think it may have been over watered/a nutrient issue.
However, I've learned alot from this app and I do plan to start again in the next month or so.
π
I'm so sad. But I learned so much! I'm hoping next time around I'll do better
definitely sucks to lose then that far along. next one will be better. don't give up!!
Excellent attitude thatβs what will make you succeed in the end. Always do less much safer and less chance of this kind of problem.
What's crazy is the first time I tried this they Atleast flowered beautifully and then went to shit.. These ones just insta died at the flowering stage.. π
Thank you! I I typically struggle to be positive. But I got closer than this once before so I know I can do it.

Hang in there. Failure is always an obstacle on the path to success. Next time you will start with more knowledge than last time and see improvement.
That's the only thing keeping me going! I learned a lot and I know I still have a lot to learn. But I'm hoping I can be successful the next time around
rip. I'd send you clones if I could
Aw thank you! I hope to buy some more in the next few weeks. I've also been told to focus more on fertilizer than nutes
in what sense fertilizer over nutes? when it comes to the plant they're one in the same. the only difference is time.
True. I'm just learning from everyone on the app so hopefully I can do better next time π€
don't feel so bad either. I killed 4 plants before I realized what I was doing.
Iβve killed an entire grow before not knowing what i was doing (putting plants in a green house with no ventilation) best thing about mistakes is knowing what not to do next time
Absolutely! π
For next time: It looks like you just let them grow straight through the SCROG, you want to use the net to make the plant form a flat, horizontal table-like cannopy. The highest point of the plant gets the most nutrients, if you keep the plant flat then you get a bunch or really nice flowers instead of one massive middle one and a bunch of larfy ones on the sides
I agree. I was nervous to bend them. I bought clips but they didn't fit well. I also know I should of done a trellis sooner.
donβt give up! I would recommend getting 3x 3gallon or 2x 5 gallon felt pots, 1 bag of fox farms 70/30 and 2 $10 bags of growdots and some recharge. itβs about $80 (not counting seeds) but you wonβt have to buy anything else for the rest of the grow. it will help you not over water, and you wonβt have to mix nutrients or top dress
I'm going to try again hopefully next month. I have new cloth 5 gallon pots which I'm going to use. I might try to only do one plant this time and see how it goes.
trying one might not be a bad idea. and grown right it can fill up the entire tent by itself. it will be less overwhelming to deal with and you can focus your attention on a single plant
Start over & use this as a grow lesson . We all been there at some point . Use moisture meter next time until u get the hang of it . Donβt give up π
I would fill the top more if you can
I ran out of soil but I will try to get more. Thanks!!
those terracotta pots usually only have 1 drainage hole in middle . wonβt be enough for this plant or u will get stunted growth
It actually has 6 holes! But thanks because that's still good to know.
I'm using fox farm ocean forest potting soil. Is that ok to be using?
Thats what i use. Its kinda hot for seedlings but its great throughout
thatβs good , most of those pots have 1 center hole . In the future I might like to try a fabric bag. the roots get air pruned & better air flow . not something u need now . enjoy the grow & keep it simple & everything will work out π
I got mine as a clone
I think it should be perfectly fine
Thank you! When I add more soil should I try to higher the plant a bit?Sorry for the questions I just don't want to do it wrong.
Thanks! I'll definitely look into those for my next go around.
Its all good! Weβre all learning. I wouldnβt worry about burrying the stem or branches, just make sure the leaves arent burried or risk rotting
I you want your plant to be bigger you might want to transplant it to a bigger size pot what size is yrs in?
One is 6.9 quarts. The larger one I believe is around 12 quarts. I can probably replace the smaller one. But I only have so much room in the tent.
totally understand I usually use a 3 to 5 gallon.for a bigger plant. But this is all up to you no harm in that at all .O and if tou want a soil that's just as good or better and a lil cheaper ,Mother earth garden swell is a great choice even for flower I was going g to get more ocean forest but went w this instead and they are loving it and it has every thing and a lil extra that fox farm has fishmeal ,crab meal, seabird guno, worm casting, kelp ,n moss all that good stuff that fox farm has n more for flower the nitrogen is too high in ocean farm for flowering mother earth is at a level 8 fox farm is At 11 .so next time just heads up cheaper around 8 bucks a bag and my opinion better. But I am a big fan of fox farm for yrs so yr aren't making a bad choice at all .I have heard great things about this and love it my self and my brother's freind won awards with it. just tryn to save people a lil cash .
Thank you! I appreciate that insight. I will look into mother earth soil. For any further soiling
just a cash saver and it really works great and has the pertil stones in it as well they love it ,best of luck to you and yr garden!
most of all have fun and do you even make a mistake that's part of learning and growing in all levels .that's how we get discoveries!
Absolutely! And I'm learning a lot from this app as well. I'm glad I found it and downloaded it.
