Grow Timeline (41 updates)

blue cookie finally broke thrue.. sambos rolling on
looking good friend. when you repot to a bigger one , allow some of that stem to be below the soil..
Will do man....I'm anticipating about 20-25 more days until they will go into a 1 gallon grow bag, I'm planning on amending soil will worm casting, 2-8-4 and 444. was gonna transplant into 7 gallon a few weeks before flip, or do you suggest going right into 7 gallon????
I found it to be a pain to transplant out of grow bags unless you have the ones with Velcro on the side. when I was in soil I think I went from solo cup to 5 gallons. you just have to watch your watering when you up pot, it's a lot of soil/water for those little roots to work through until they get bigger

blue cookie finally broke thrue. I'm having a tough time keeping humidity level stable in tent, it's steady at 56, when I add bowl of hot water it will increase to 78-82 for about an hour, then drop to a stable 65.
introduced a small humidifier to increase humidity. after 24 hours of 76 temps and 80 humidity vpd .6 girls are still unhappy. the 2 angle trumpet cutting are praying to the one they love ๐
They look better than your last post, give them a bit to adjust.
the one by humidifier might be too close, turn humidifier 180 around
since lowering VPD to 0.6 and raising humidity to a consistent 80 plants have responded very positive. Roots are visible from drainage holes and growth has doubled in the last few days. my goal was to transplant into 1gallon grow bag with velcro sides on April 25th, but it looks like I will perform transplant this weekend.
Good to hear, glad your back on track ๐
1 of the samo78 plants seems to have stunted( plants was showing yellow spots on leaves) new leaves show no signs. stay away from the tap, bottled water ONLY for now on.. well water is a fucking nighmare
each plant recieved .5 ml per liter of cal mag.
JB, lower your ph and ec looking a bit spicy,
the tip discoloration is from nitrogen toxicity
I need to invest in a proper ph pen and a ec meter. I have the cheap 12 dollar one from vivosun, my ph has been 6.4. I will lower it to 6.0. I appreciate the knowledge Six ๐ค
I use the shaker bottle from general hydroponics, and the drops. takes a bit to get used to but it hasnโt failed me yet. $15 for a big bottle of solution. lasts a long time. I use a cheap ec tds meter. those meters arenโt as finicky. I donโt like those pens 1 time if there off your screwed. the color of your test at 6.0 she be the color of golden piss.
good to know, ill seek them out for sure.
new ec/ppm/PH meter came in. old ph meter was 1.2 off. Runoff reading are as follows
blue cookie: 11.44 ms, 5680 ppm, ph 5.6
samo78 A(plant showing toxicity): 12.33ms, 6220 ppm, 5.4 ph
samo78 B: 11.84ms, 5970ppm, 5.7ph
Will spend the next few days researching levels and what I need to do to correct levels in plants.
all is looking good
That's a really good looking canopy, I think you will have a really even spread of dank kolas
much appreciated Bulldawg...i have encountered many "firsts" this go around. this is my first time going fully organic and these plants have been been teaching me along the way..i swear every time I correct something they laugh and tell themselves... "let's see if this idiot can fix this"...bwhahahaha
each plant got 2 gallons compost tea and 3 tbs of 284 444 gia green fertilizer. lights at 100%
JB, looks great, 10 degrees difference at night vs day will make them stretch better, I also dim and raise my light for weeks 1&2. you may already know this, just trying to help out.
I did not know this, ill keep the light at 80% for a bit..i need to find a way to drop the temps more at night. I appreciate you dropping knowledge on me Six
hi so when you flip them to 12/12 you dime the light ๐คas am a new grower .๐๐
I do anyway, I found it helps the 3 week stretch, they donโt need a lot of light till week 4-7 then they need as much as you can give. I try for 57-62 DLI. 1400 Ppfd weeks 5-7. I do run c02, from tank at 12-1300 ppm though.
does the co2 increase ppfd? im getting 620 out of my lights at 80%. I did some research into the mycelium bags, from what I've read it doesn't increase co2 enough to justify it
tank is the best way to go. The expense sucks but I think itโs totally worth it. I get over a pound in a 4x4 with 4-5 plants. they just grow bigger with constant levels of c02.
c02 doesnโt increase Ppfd, more the other way around, more light more transpiration, more co2, but they use it up very quickly. It needs to be in line with VPD as well. it all works like a Swiss watch.
im running 3 in a 3x3 now and its just way to tight. 2 will be my sweet spot moving foward.
kept dropping gems Six ๐!!! im gonna just follow along and keep picking them up ๐ช ๐
raise them up off floor will help with air circulation and thermal transfer. the floor is going to be cooler at bottom of tent. cooling off your soil. I run a fan under canopy keeping temperatures consistent.
I have a 6inch fan running on the floor now, and the pots are up on self watering pots.. I haven't installed the wix.I just use it for runoff right now
as long as you can get air underneath the container. not a fan of those pots. the solution evaporates causing false readings because of salt concentration.
my ballast is 250w 400 then 600 then super lumens .4 turns am at 600 ATM so will it be ok to drop too 400 for the 1st 3 weeks? ๐
watch how they respond, if they are stretching keep it lower, if they look sad turn it up a bit, this advice is like the yellow and white lines on a road, just to guide you. you may have to adjust in that lane. each strain needs a little different care.
thanks for the advice ๐I have already done a grow with the blueberry and the pineapple chunk so I know those strains it's just the critical mass but I will get there eventually ๐thanks again
need to drop humidity by 10 degrees, its way to high at 69. Keeping the light at 80% to promote stretching.
what a difference in stretch since last pic. keep it up ๐ on your way to a huge harvest. keep opening up the canopy until week 3
clip some of those fan leaves you donโt want them on, defoliate until week 3 then leave it alone. It will increase your yield, donโt do a heavy one though just enough to open the canopy more.
I was expecting a stretch, but these ladies took off. Hopefully I don't need to cut holes atop the tent ๐คฃ
I have been taking large fans leaves along the way, but was staring to think I was taken to many.. I will definitely need to take more, its quite crowded as is ๐ค
donโt be scared you can almost strip them bare. they put more energy into bud development when fan leaves are absent. donโt strip them but you can take a lot of them off. I clip all long stemmed fan leaves, they come right back, be back in a couple weeks
any of them that get too tall you can super crop them over doesnโt hurt them, makes canopy even out more
what the humidity after lights out ? looking good
my humidity during the day is 69-72...lightsbout is 65-68. I'm looking into a dehumidifier asap.
definitely get one , u donโt want all your hard work to get ruined . I have my tent in garage & the humidity is high especially after lights out . I had to invest in a second one so make sure it will be efficient for your tent size. donโt make same mistake as I did . I ordered mine on Amazon & i had thought I was ordering a different size . I hate to see that beautiful canopy be destroyed. for now see if u can add a fan on outside of tent & have it blowing into the vents . might help some . ๐๐
kicked the light to 100% at 20 inch hieght above canopy. plants are thirsty and stretching like crazy. selective pruning every day. humidity is still too high, 65 day, 70 night. dehumidifier for long room should be here in three days
them girls are getting tall
Hell Yeah ๐ carefully lower your trellis a bit to open them up, just watch you donโt snap any stems. I just did that to a gelato main stem, had to cut it off, that hurt. let them stretch, you got lots of room yet.
I trim all of the under growth that isnโt going to get light, they will just take energy from your plants.
they finally seem alot happier. had some struggles along the way!!
I was thinking off getting a second net. it makes sense to drop this one though, it will definitely help open up the canopy and utilizethe sapce that left.
I have ionbeam S16 and a dehumidifier coming on June 5th. I'm struggling with high humidity right now. I'm curious to see if I can keep larf to a minimum with under canopy lighting.
I'm curious to see how those ion beam light treat you.
I'm currently dealing with struggles myself so I understand for sure. glad they are showing improvement. look forward to see this journey.
I use two nets, the first one open canopy and second one to support the stretch and weight
Six, what's your suggestions on supplemental feeding for flower??
humic acid, vitamin b1, amino acid, sulfur, in week 5 add magnesium. also I use kelp powder.
humidity still a problem. plants are thirsty, need to start to water every other day. plants are looking great and are in cruise control. samo78 is showing it's sativa traits and has now stretched further than the blue cookie
What size pots are they in. Ive got an outside grow goin on and they need to be watered every 1-2 days now albeit being in 10 gallon fab pots.
they're in 5 gallon grow bags..I've been given them a gallon about every 3 days. I don't water to runnoff. to be fair I almost fell like I may underwater a bit
less is best. are you watering from up top or bottom? do you have a dehumidifier? I ended up going with the spider farmer dehumidifier cause it hooks directly to the tent with an air duct. has its own sensor.its done me good and essentially works as an intake fan. I was watering like 1.5 liter every 3 days or so at first. now im up to about a gallon a day and slowly tapering off. I ended up going with ac infinitely self watering reservoirs I just refill them snd the plants drinks when its thirsty.
This is my first time trying these order watering pots from ac infinity. They have stayed happy, but the top dries out a bit. So I just supplement water up top as well when needed. I have the same dehumidifier, and the ac humidifier as well.. I haven't been too concerned with temp of RH, i chase vpd.. I just topped dressed a few days back, preparing to start my pre stretch... I'll probably flip in the next week or so. i just realized that this comment was on my last grow. Everything I just described is on my gro.Going on now. this grow that you commented on, I did top water only, but I way over fertilize these girls. still ended up with fire bud, produced just under nine ounces
the reservoirs seemed to help with the watering issue on my end. id throw a top water in every 2 reservoirs or so to help salts move down and excess nutes. I use one of the old school water blasters that looks like a crayon to siphon it out. I got 2 for 3$ at the dollar store. I was chasing vpd but since switching to flower the dehumidifier has definitely kicked into play. sits at a good 60% humidity 247 and then day temp is like 78 and night temp is 73.
Yeah, these auto pots definitely have gotten my watering schedule under control. now, I do a poor man's style of a living soil, so I don't have to worry about salt, buildup, but it's been a challenge going organic. a very steep learning curve. i must say though the flower that I produced last run is absolutely outstanding. some of the cleanestThe smoke i've had in a very long time. My growing environment seems to be identical to yours. As described. best of luck with you, you're a gro. Man, I hope it produces a bountiful harvest
you too man! it definitely looks good im sure it will be even better in a few weeks. im still learning. never grown a thing in my life ๐ im looking fwd to see how it turns out
1gallon compost tea to each plant. leaves tips curled down, leaf color concerns me, on the yellowish side. my soil has just been to "hot" since out of the gate.
I would strip em of fan leaves, if humidity is high which isnโt bad as long as you have air circulation if not they rot quickly, you have a week to strip. then stop. your buds will be bigger if you strip fans. just my thoughts anyway ๐
I have been doing a bit day by day, but will take more. I just noticed balls on the blue cookie, it was a seed gifted to me by a good friend. we're supposed to be feminized, s*** genetics at hermied on me. gonna chop that fucker down and focus on the two samo seventy eights from ethos
checking in on plants, noticed balls on the blue cookie..cuting it down
looks like a full blown male to me.
R.I.P
so technically is that, blue balls?
man that sucks I had to remove a male two weeks ago as well. 60 days poof!
Happened with a white widow at the end of last year but didn't notice until it was too late ๐ got plenty of seeds to put outside this year though ๐
lammmeee
installed side lighting for under canopy growth, and dehumidifier and extra fan. Heavy defoliation, and reinstall trellis after removing male plant. moving forward, focus on only two 5 gallon bags, or three 3 gallon. I lost 50 percent of canopy.
still cannot upload pics. dehumidifier installed, humidity level at 60 day and night. buds have started, and are smelling lovely. both plants got three tablespoons of power bloom. first signs of gnats have appeared, get them under control ASAP.
all is running well. buds are coming in nicely. gia green power blood was added last week. need more light, I feel like buds should be fatter at this point. these are sativa heavy, they will push well past 65 days of flower
halfway to harvest. they are drinking twice the amount of water. will start to add black molasses on next watering.
Easy Money ๐ด looks good ๐
vivastrap makes a water soluble powdered molasses that I like to use. works great
noobie question. what does the molasses provide?
what's molasses do?
in short itโs makes fatter buds, increases resin production, and brings out terps more.
https://emeraldharvest.co/carbohydrate-supplementation/
thanks man
buds starting to thicken up.
Hell Yeah ๐ฅ
thatโs going to be a nice harvest
only with the help from this community. I've been having little issues here and there, im grateful im to this point. organic is a different ballgame, but im enjoying the learning curve๐ค
I really enjoy the community here. thereโs a lot of cool and knowledgeable people. thatโs the great thing about growing is thereโs a thousand ways to do it. I love learning and I feel like Iโm basically an addict because itโs all I think about haha.
first lights out pic I have taken. my soil has been hot from the start. tips are curling down, I need to cut the fertilizer in my mix in half. getting ready to pop a few more beans and get veg going
that looks real sticky just from seeing the pictures. looks real good ๐
they're starting to get that good funky smell now. im hoping they stay stacking and I get a bunch of donkey dicks ๐ซ....well see.
whatโs the temps running at? thatโs a nice cola ? has to be sticky as hell
I've been chasing vpd, staying within 1.0-1.2.. temps and rh like to bounce around.. im typically 68-74 temps with 55-60 rh.
thatโs good for this time of year . u running an ac ? I canโt grow indoors in summer . I in garage & not running an ac .if prices were still &6500 a pound then hell ya
plants are still drinking 1gallon rainwater with vivastrap every other day as normal. not slowing down on water uptake. buds are getting very dense, but they're still not "fitting up" like I would like to see. they're really starting to push resin production, VERY sticky to touch.
looks good
are we all talking to ourselves on here, hoping someone will respond. we all have these narratives like we're talking to someone. ๐
I use this as notes to myself for future grow, and to show progress for others to compare along their own journey. and, if im only talking to myself and no one response, then so be it..๐ค
๐ค๐ผ
donโt worry JB I am listening ๐๐ป fukn nice job brother they look great.
I appreciate that Six. Im very pleased with this run so far. I have some beans that are ready to pop. im going to run with NPK products this go around.
I just re up entire line for my next grow. let me know how you like using it.
last watering yesterday. trichomes are cloudy, will harvest at first signs of amber. each plant will get an ice baths every morning until chop. I am trying to replicate nature by tricking the plant into thinking its first signs of "fall frost".im hoping this will push last bit of resin production.
nice! those colors are really pretty
it is a gorgeous flower. great smells coming from the tent, and super sticky icky
Removed trellis net in preparation for harvest. tricombs just won't turn amber. milky cloudythroughout.
Nice grow brother, unfortunately the plants work on their schedules not ours. you may want to dim the lights a bit helps preserve the terps๐ฎโ๐จ
I hate to be the burden of bad news but you're stressed out your plant so there was a weak to 2 weeks where the plant didn't do any growing and the plant only matured what was on the plant and then once it got over that stressor it started to produce buds again meaning you're getting it mixed signals on harvest time but also depending on when the stress are happened it can mean instead of an 8-week strain it could be an 11-week strain that's from my own personal experience and you got to learn from your mistakes that's what makes a great grower is personal experience and how to utilize that to your benefit. ciao
I was just reading how the pungent smell is actually the trichomb's degrading due to the light. This is outstanding advice Six...ill drop the light down to 75% for these last few days. I'll be hanging this weekend
this is a 10 week strain, sativa heavy. I felt as like the last 2 weeks or so these buds did not grow in size, but got crazy dense, and the resin has tripled. i'm still trying to hone in. I'm very curious to know if I stressed out the plants, how that came about

they look really good if you ask me. if they were doing OK with the 50% I would probably keep them at that.
