Grow Timeline (4 updates)
I was hoping my friends would grow with me but they bailed. I have removed quite a few fan leaves from the mother's, I didnt want to stress them out anymore than they are due to my high PH.
I expect to lose some but I am very confused, so many different symptoms I dont know where to begin. I just started using PH down because I have well water, I was under the impression I didnt have enough light but this looks like light stress to me? Whats your thoughts? Also confused about the one thats drooping, maybe the roots havent took enough yet? I transferred them into bigger pots on the 18th. Any advice? I raised my lights up to see if this helps. I havent added any nutrients the soil i used is Back to the Roots, its supposed to have nutrients in it. Maybe too much?
Id show this to six he can probably help u I'm not real sure what it is ..if it happened right after fertilizing it u probably burnt them with nutrients.nut how u fix them is run a bucket of chlorine free pH water through it . reammemd with worm casting
I will look him up, I havent fertilized yet the soil came with fertilizer in it rating at 0.08 Nitro, 0.03 Phosphate and 0.07 potassium, all I have done is water them with well water that has hydroponic brand ph down. Im not sure whats going on I sprayed the soil with an Epsom salt mixture last night I realized after I should have probably only sprayed a few. We will see. Thank you for the contact!
U got a few issues happening here . One of the plants is lacking in nitrogen. Use a good balanced vegetation nutrient & check the ph of solution after u mix . What the ph u using when u water ? The soil PH looks off . Pots need to have good drainage & when transplanting I like to water in after with a very mild nutrient solution. Ph the solution for soil 6.1 -6.5 . I would start off with testing the soil by doing a slurry test & u can also test the nutrients in soil as well . Find a well balanced nutrients that has all the macro & micro nutrients in it . U will need a separate nutrient for when u flip to flower . Read the labels on the soil . Nutrient only good for 3-5 weeks then u need to feed
I have a soil test kit, I will do one real quick and post the results. As for ph I use the test strips right now and I try to get it around 6.2, my well water was testing in the 8+ range and I had no idea the science to this at that time so It wouldnt surprise me if they were locked out. The first 2 waters after getting the Ph down I got the color on the strip as close as I could and went down to water when I came back up 10 minutes later the color had changed to match the 8+ range again. I am ordering a digital meter so I can have an exact number. Im way under equipped. I am realizing. Shame on me!
Soil test from the biggest of my clones that are struggling. I moved the lights up and sprayed them with Epsom salt mixture last night. I just learned about water temp and affects of too cold of water which I was not monitoring and will from now on! Recieving lots of help thank you to everyone! Ill keep updating as much as possible.
Frosty 🥶 ain’t she!!!!! 💯😍💯😍💯😂
So to tell if its ready for harvest what youre looking for is mostly all cloudy trichs, with spots of amber here and there. That is generally considered the perfect time to pull it, they will continue to ripen as you dry them. if they are mostly all clear, it is not ready yet. the general consensus is cloudy for head high, amber for couch lock. but you dont really want ALL amber or it will be over ripened tbh also, make sure you are checking the trichs on the bud itself and not the leaves and edges as those trichs always ripen first/faster then the bud trichs. also check multiple buds at different points of the plant (lower branches, mid branches, tops) as they will also ripen at different rates. this is why some people harvest in stages and take the tops first as they finish first and let the bottom branches continue to grow until ready then harvest them next. personally I dont do this but apparently its fairly common you can find some diagrams with photos on Google if you just search Cannabis Trichome Harvest Timing or something along those lines to get a visual example of what im saying
Thanks dude!!!
Officially obsessed lol
I kno the feeling!!! I CAN’T STOP!!!!
So to go into more of what Hasaki420 said, clear trichomes mean the plant is producing THC but it’s not at its peak. This stage is way less potent and is associated with the anxious feeling and not at all a desirable smoke. Then you have cloudy trichomes. This is when THC is at its peak. The most potency and a strong head high is what you can expect from this stage. Then when they turn to amber it’s because the THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) is breaking down into CBN (Cannibinol) and is associated with the couch lock and heavy body highs. Personally I prefer to harvest before there’s much amber at all because I don’t like the couch lock, but some growers will go to upwards of 50 percent amber. I encourage you to cut test branches or do whole harvests at different times and write down what you like the most and harvest then rather than worry about what others do. I focused so hard to get the 20 percent amber only to discover I hate it and prefer less then 5 percent amber.
Wait, so does that mean you can create/simulate indica and sativa highs no matter which one it is? Woah!!!
Not necessarily. Strain type and cannabis type still matter heavily, but picture an indica that relaxes you but doesn’t lock you down. That’s how mine are when I have almost zero amber. It’s not a sativa effect really but it’s not a heavy indica feeling either. I encourage you to do your own research as I’m not an expert by any means, but am learning more and more about the sciences of cannabis every day.
Thank you!
