Day 74
Got any macros images of the trichs?
what kind of light are you usin
I canβt really show it in a photo, but most of the trichomes are milky white. From what I understand, the best ratio is around 80% milky to 20% amber, right?
Yo man, Iβve got the BESTVA 1000. Good stuff π
Depends how you like it... more amber, more couchlock is the general consensus and a great starting point. But I argue it's all dependent on terps & personal preference. Since I grow photos, I like to let em grow first time around and wait until I start seeing some amber development on the lowers and then harvest. That way I got plenty of spectrum to make my own judgment on the perfect ratio, take note and scrog/lolipop 2nd time around shooting for my target with a level even canopy. .
I got you, buddy. Thanks for the advice and your attention. π€ Tell me, before harvesting and drying, do you flush it with plain water (no nutrients) to remove all the salts from its system?
I flush every 3-4 weeks regardless of running salts or not with distilled water or RO. Since I'm in soil... I've been adding sludgehammer as it really does a nice job at not only flushing, but also it reconditions my soil and roots in the process. I can tell a massive difference between soils (post-harvest) that I've flushed using just distilled/RO vs running sledgehammer. Without Sledgehammer, it dries super quick, looks depleted of nutrients, dry clumps here and there with traces of salt still easily found. With Sledgehammer, it looks nearly as fresh as day 1. I recommend if you're running pure salt mixes to add a form of carbon for your nutes to cling on to in the mix if there isn't any. This will help to retain the flavinoids as you flush. If you're savvy, you can suppliment with things found in and around the house, or you can take an easy route and buy carbon based flushing agents. Things like biochar etc.
Friend, thank you for such a comprehensive and valuable answer!!! π€π€
if I'm feeding heavy I'll taper down EC the last 2-3 weeks eventually targeting 25%. if the grows going good and I've been feeding appropriately, not pushing too hard, I'll chop no flush
Day 80
we all make mistakes. I been doing this since I was around 7 started at my great uncleβs farm in NJ he been growing since the 30βs & still make mistakes. it how u overcome them . everyone on this app will help with advice. π
π―
Mistakes is where we grow. Also, mistakes doesn't mean failure! Just means the next grow is going to be better. I know I'm not alone, when I say I go into every grow trying to best the last.
I will be happy if my current grow looks like that. Are they foxtailing a little?
that is something I am trying out they are the 90degree plant benderβs & side benders . i always do the Kyle kushman super cropping & what he calls chiropracting . takes a lot of time . I had switched tents & had some issues during the veg . I am watching out for it with the temps . I just started growing again due to legal issues so the tents are new to me . I use to growing in big open rooms .
Yeah, you're right. The buds stretched out a bit more than I was hoping, but I just kinda let it happen and didn't make any changes.
Dang, youβve got some serious knowledge here β big respect! Thanks for having my back, bro! π€
For sure, man! Youβre absolutely right β no progress without mistakes. Thanks for having my back π€
Yeah, I also used super cropping on some of the stems, and I ran a scrog net too. I pulled some branches sideways and even down during veg β without that, the plant wouldβve just gone wild and taken over my tiny little grow box ππ
I still make mistakes, I just got back into growing 3 years ago before that I wasnβt able to grow for 5 years due to legal issues & I was away for 7 years hope having grow house . I getting back into the swing . I just remember a lot & it a matter of applying it . we all have our own styles I trying out these 90 degree plant benders for first time . I like super cropping everyone helps each other out π
π

Nice looking plant, here's to new life. π
nice π 755 ppm ?
yep
