transplanted the indoor seedlings into 7 gallon fabric pots, raining tonight
I see you got sone put together, are you doin bonsai per chance?
No bonsai planned, but I'm open to the idea, since I still have new seeds sprouting. How would I go about that?
If youre goin for bonsai, throw all thought of heavy yield or really any kind of yield out the window. Bonsai is doin LST very meticulously over time, so one of the things you may want to do is top very early on before the plant grows to high. You also want to start bending and shaping her now so that when nodes and branches do grow, theyβll be in the position you want them to. Very little over time, exposing the lower stalk near the root will expose the plant essentially making the plant harden its roots before it gets injured or sick. Marijuana can take a beating and so bonsai is no issue for her, it really is up to your own patience.
I just may give that a shot, sounds fun. thank you, bro
Hell yeah, im doin bonsai with my current grow. Im going to intertwine stalks then graft them in multiple places.
dug up by a skunk. I heard weird wild noises outside at 3:00am~ through the window, and smelled skunk. last year skunks dug up some of my flower garden so I am sure it was a skunk. they dig up the roots looking for bugs.
I did my best but it may not survive the attack
using these thick aluminum wires that've been outside awhile because aluminum dissipates heat well, so shouldn't get too hot or interfere with the electromagnetism too much.
starting with the ones that have fallen over. also, I rotated all of the plant pots 180Β° to start the canopy off nice and even
the ones I added support to are responding really well, and the ones I left alone don't seem to want it yet. the IPM spray (every 3-7 days) with neem oil, peppermint oil, aloe vera, and dr bronners isn't burning them, but I noticed a couple white spots on the new growth of one plant and pinched it off real quick. I will soon increase space between plants to help prevent any more mold.
been watering a half gallon every day it doesn't rain.
the one the skunk dug up died. RIP. Added to compost pile
they're recovering from me feeding too much alfalfa meal/banana peel/molasses tea I fed. it was burning the new growth so I added a lot more water afterwards, and luckily it's been raining. for comparison, the one in the 5 gallon with the fence wire had no tea, and didn't get burnt. it fell over, though, hence the fence. the little one I transplanted in the 7 gallon fabric pot I added a lot less of the tea to, so it didn't suffer as much so likely just a PPM issue hopefully
Those are just the males, which I culled and put on the compost pile (but I keep the stalks and male flowers); I'll take pics of the females next
excuse my ignorance, but what do you use the male flowers for?
nutrients and chi mostly, like a native eatin monkey balls. I use regular seeds, so the males are unavoidable, just gotta identify and cull them before they pollinate any female flowers.

What's the difference between the pollen sacs and the flower?
this is why I grow outdoor cannabis. the cacti take up the majority of the indoor equipment. under the same t5s I started the weedlings under. many Jiimz Trichocereus Bridgesii, and a lot of new various trichocereus seedlings. I know it's a bit off theme, but keeps me always into gardening
I love it!! π΅

fighting powdery mildew from the start, it seems. no flower I could grow this year could ever be safe to smoke
every treatment strategy is merely preventative or ineffectual. there was never any hope from that first moment they were covered by grass clippings by the guy who mowed the lawn
inside away from powdery mildew. They were forming preflowers, so I put them in the cactus tent to reveg. topped one. they're a little burnt from the Trifecta, it seems, but I'm paranoid about PM. tomorrow I will treat the inevitable fungus gnats with BTI. I upgraded my lights to the SF2000 and switched from positive pressure to negative pressure with the airflow, using a 6" inline fan and a carbon filter in preparation for the eventual stank
is that a San Pedro?
the seedlings are various trichocereus, some are definitely san pedro, others Bolivian Torch and peruvian torch, but all the big ones are Bolivian Torch Cactus, which are comparable in potency to san pedro
are u saying u can trip balls off them cactus? I've always wanted to try peyote
oh ya, 20g of dried Bolivian Torch Cactus will getcha there, but I would never eat my peyote. takes way too many years to grow to just eat, when I could grow hundreds of Bolivian Torch and san pedro cacti from seed in a shorter time
The rest of the Acalpulco Gold seeds have sprouted, along with some Critical Amnesia and God King seeds. I moved 4 Acalpulco Gold sprouts under the T5 grow light in the cactus tent in a 3~ gallon self watering pot and 1 Critical Amnesia sprout.
Beautiful start friend.
