Grow Timeline (28 updates)
I got one of the clones thats struggling a bit. I misted them with water and did a bit of supplemental water to help. I need to get a heat pad for atleast the little one to help get some roots going. Its getting colder at night thats for sure and the soil is a bit cooler than I would like for this stage of root development. Going to put it on the heater vent and warm it up a bit.
A good temp fix for not having a heat pad is to line the top of your pot with aluminum foil... that will at least heat under the lamp and help soil to retain moisture longer. GL
Great tip! I will definitely try this when I get home.
pH of water started at 6.5 and I lowered it to 5.6 as is recommended for this stage. When I measured the runoff of each was about 4.2. I dont like the idea of the roots and plant being damaged so I mixed up another batch of water this time to 9.8 pH which I know is high but the run off was still at 4.4 range so Im hoping it will even out to around 5.5 as is ideal. The clones have been doing extremely well in this soil even though it was acidic prior to watering.
is that Blue Dream?
Tbh im not 100% sure. I saved a Blue Dream seed and one or 2 more. However this is the 1st generation clones from the mother of what I do believe is blue dream. I have one more seed. I may germinate it and see what it looks like π€
I only ask because I have a Blue Drean auto going. And it looks alot different. Mine has big fat fan leaves, and really looks predominantly like Indica. Good Luck with your grow, looking forward to seeing your progress
Water given. Im was struggling with where to place my second tent but I have a crazy idea for my spare room that may just work. The idea is I have a bunch of nice plywood pallets in the spare room. So I'm thinking I will make a platform roughly 4 foot by eight foot approximately 2.5 ft off the floor. This will make it so the top of plants are at eye level and less slumping. Then I want to install cameras and create a live stream of the growth and or time lapse videos. Twitch.tv/Conmara_Cannabis
This morning we set up the 2nd tent and installed - light, drip trays, surge protector, timer, light proof vent. Also wiped / disinfected interior. Then we moved the 9 2nd gen clones from the closet. Picked up 3 bags (2.5 cubic feet/ bag ) of Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil for tomorrow's transplant in 7 gallon fabric pots. Pics of interior coming tomorrow morning
Transplanted the last 1st gen clone into the 5 gallon fabric pots. Mixed up some Great White to get them roots cranking
Just curious: It looks crowded. Are you doing sea of green, or will some of them be moved as they get bigger, etc?
I moved 4 of them to a separate tent a couple days ago. Will do update post soon. They are getting big for sure.
Pic of plants was taken 32 hours ago when we harvested Big momma and installed the light from her tent. Today we received an even bigger light which we will be putting in the tent Momma was in once we move her to the closet this weekend. Also got a new bucket for measuring and mixing as well as an RO for better water. The RO does remove alot but it takes about 15 mins to get 1 liter of water. We ordered a 15 gallon tank to install a float so we can just fill that and have the water whenever we need it. We installed a quick connect on the sink for easy removal of the RO adapter.
is that a 5x5 tent what size pots are u using
It is a 4x4 Mars Hydro tent with AC infinity 5 gallon fabric pots. We are going to move 5 of them to another 4x4 tent in couple days.
ok i thought it wss a 5x5 snd thought they were 6 gallons im using a 4x8 right now but when we move im going back to my 5x5 and get another so if thats what u had i was going ro c how may 5 gal u had in there cause i tried 10 in 5x5 before but had to get rid of a couple before they got big so i just want to c if u thats what u had
We have filled up a 4x4 canopy with just one before so 10 in a 5x5 is ok in the beginning but if you plan to do low stress training and topping you will be way overcrowded. 5 plants in a 5x5 is even a stretch depending on how you grow them.
ok thanks
good ol dookie water
Ngl they seem to love it. β€οΈ
pluck those yellow leaves
Thats the plan for tomorrow just wanted to give them a bit to aclimate to the new space first. Want them to focus on rooting. I appreciate the tip tho my friend
