Grow Timeline (9 updates)
Part A: 0.5g silver nitrate dissolved in 500 ml distilled water
Part B: 3.9g sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate dissolved in 500ml water.
Both of those solutions stored in amber bottles. Kept in a fridge will last 9ish months.
Combine solutions: There is a specific way to combine a and b and you'll immediately know if you screwed up. Start with part b. Put 12.5ml into a glass container. Take 12.5ml of part A and slowly mix into part b. Stirring the entire time. Take 225ml of distilled water and pour your AB solution into it, diluting it to 1:9. You can scale up as needed. (50ml a/50ml b/900ml h2o). Add 5drops dish soap or pinch of yucca root to help it stick to plant. Keep in light block bottle and store in fridge
Spray schedule: at lights out pick a branch, spray nodes with AB solution 5days before flip. Continue to spray every 5 days until male flowers form.
DO NOT CONSUME ANYTHING FROM THIS PLANT.
Things to note. The solutions degrade in light so light block bottles for storage and spray at lights out. Solutions by them selves will last about 9months. Mixed together only few weeks. I'll mix a new AB solution after the 3rd spray (if it needs it). Wear gloves when handling chemicals and I can't stress enough do not consume anything from this plant. That plant is only for seeds now, no trim hash, nothing. If your spray burns the plant, it just needs to be diluted more when you make your AB solution. Different plants will handle it better than others, I've found good success at 1:9.
Clone I'm using had some root rot after transferring to rdwc, cut out and new roots have grown in. Looks a little worse for wear but new growth looks good so we're gonna rock with it and see what grows

Flipped 12/12 few days ago and I hadn't checked up on her since. I tend to do this on seed runs, doesn't need to be perfect, just needs to finish lol. Anyhoo she's already grown in size, supercropped a few of the taller shoots. No flowers forming yet, male or female.
Sprayed nodes with sts at lights out this AM. No flower formation yet.
I love seed runs because for me they are no effort. Last time I opened the tent was at last post. Just pH check every few days and top off res. No babying, no fussing, just let the damn thing grow. Roots look great after chopping out the transfer rot. Cleaned up the bottom a little
Female flowers have started forming. Potentially the start of male flowers on sprayed branch. I'll give her until the 22nd and if I don't see any male flowers I'll rip her out and start again with a stronger spray. If male flowers set a real good trimming is needed. I'll strip most buds off and keep the colas. Don't need 5000 seeds. I want them but dont want to pick that many out.

No male flowers yet but sprayed bud site looks different to me. Eitherit's all in my head because I want it to be different or that bud site is starting to transition over. I haven't done this in a few years so I forget what the beginning stages look like. Another week or so and I'll have an answer one way or another.
Sts spray has worked for now. Make flowers forming. Just need them to open and have viable pollen.
Pic 1&2 male flowers on the sprayed sites.
Pic 3 growing rather well considering it's just under a little 100w light. If seeds set I may put the 750 back in

Male flowers are being produced but not a lot of pollen. Will attempt with stronger sts solution next attempt. Cut plant down to male branch and a few colas. Did make a pretty bouquet though.
Good friend of mine requested some CBD. Ordered seeds and will sprout and veg but when they are ready to flip this semi failed endeavor will get the boot.
Sprayed branch covered in male flowers. Buds on non sprayed branch however doesn't seem to be pollinated. Need the tent and the non sprayed buds are ripe so plan b is commencing shortly. Chop the plant and try and collect pollen for storage later. Male flowers took a long time to form and pollen is not as prolific as it should be. Hopefully I can manage to grab some pollen and will use it to self one of the clones I plan on growing outdoor this year. Calling this a failure
