having just grown a pink runtz myself, they are a stretchy strain. right off the bat she was taller than my other girls, but she finished amazingly so I wouldnโ€™t stress too much about it.

I looked on the internet and it says they are stretching and that they need lights. Is that true, and can they stretch too far?

Beard120

yes! between the last post I saw of yours and this one, they have stretched an unhealthy amount! definitely more light friend!

S
snoopdog

is it okey 2/3 more days I fixโ€™s lamps

S
snoopdog

look at my added picture hope maybe get some light hir

Beard120

That definitely should give them enough light till you can get yours fixed! What youโ€™re really worrying about with them stretching is stem rot, and obviously it effects yield. if they start to fall over, put something in the pot for support, and make sure to get a light breeze on them to help strengthen their stretchy stems! I am a fairly new grower, so this may not be the absolute most efficient way to manage a stretch, but itโ€™s how I did it.

S
snoopdog

Tnx for your advice it help me I thought they where having a growing spurt

Beard120

They definitely are! you just donโ€™t want them growing up too fast!

Funkey

id lower your light .and put a clear plastic cup on top of it

S
snoopdog

I did first week but the cup became to small for the seed

Funkey

see seedlings stretch cause of 2 things sometimes it's genetics .In seedlings stage my height with my light is about 18' at 50@% power ok good luck.id find something to put over it . seedlings should be at 80% humidity that's why I see clear cups on them .use a anything clear that fits over it maybe a big clear brisk tea bottle idk lol .well just trying to help

Randizzle

Sup Snoop, def stretching and need more light.

Lynchcorp

yow that's gota be a record bro

S
snoopdog

Lynchcorp

R
RoyalSmurf420

S
snoopdog

cause damage?

S

cause damage?

HealingHands420

Iโ€™d throw it under a cfl or something for now theyโ€™re stretching way to much.

S
snoopdog

wat is clf

HealingHands420

make sure you have plenty of drain holes at the bottom of your pots to

HealingHands420

any light is better than nothing. even if itโ€™s a lightbulb in a box

Lynchcorp

lays one may make it. but ya get any kind of lightbulb 15 or less s inchs away

OG_CPT_ZA

my opinion plant them deep in a new pot to get rid of the stretchy legs to keep it compact and leave like 1 cm open before the leaves if that makes sence. might help stabalize when yiu get tour light other then that they are most likley buggered and wil flop over as soon as leaves form

OG_CPT_ZA

so i used same lights on my first grow it stunted it as it didnt give of even 100ppfd witch is way to little light i would invest in a good light that light is only to get your seeds to pop

OG_CPT_ZA

i would also leave them on 24/7 until you get a light that gives you atleast 500-700 ppfd roughly 30 cm away from the plant

S
snoopdog

this are 4 igrowcan there are small plants grow to max 60cm after this I whant to go fore big plant auto flouwer white this setup mars hydro TS1000 ant inline fan white coolfilhter

Tips

My first thought is too much nitrogen. Or too much food in general. But I am still a fairly new grower so take that with a grain of salt. My recommendation would be to back off your feeding just a bit if possible.

S
snoopdog

Only water no food

Beard120

Interesting. Iโ€™m not 100 percent sure then. Thatโ€™s really been the only time I get burnt or crispy leaves is when I over feed.

Funkey

That's nothing to worry about .if it's a water only soil sometimes environment can do that too. But I bet everyone on here has that . U running ocean forest or 3.0 ??? That is probably from nitrogen unless u water exactly like the person who made the soil. I wouldn't worry about that

Funkey

And that's not a lack of symptom jsuk.ussally if it's a lack of your new growth would be affective .if u that concerned but he thought me so six is the in house speciallist at knowing what's wrong but he thought me his ways .so I'm pretty sure he'll agree with me

home_grown420

That's nothing to worry about it happens to every plant you're not ever going to come out with a plant that doesn't have dead tips at some point or another no matter how well you keep it it's always going to end up there's going to be a few leaves that have this I've been growing for a really long time and I see it it's not going to affect your plant now if it starts to grow all the way down your leaves then you're going to have issues

S
shallowgrows

I think he means don't feed the plant nutes while she's still tiny, let her grow up a bit before you start feeding. Nutrients can burn a plant if she's too young as far as I know, I'm on my first grow but that's what it looks like to me

Nothing to worry about, my guess is you're in a hot soil... as she grows it will be good for her. And when she is big enough you can just clip those ugly leaves off

sykfuk

I've only grown 5 times and I've definitely had multiple plants that the tips did not burn at all..?

Lynchcorp

Could be a lot of things... Burnt too much nutrients. Light too close or hot. Not enuf air flow. Smoking too much meth๐Ÿ˜‰
