Grow Timeline (9 updates)
Soil ph is too high at 7.9. I'll treat that next water, tomorrow probably. Soil temp is 22c and soil moisture currently 31%. I've fed it very small amounts of calmag and biobiz biogrow in dechlorinated water every other water. she's drinking a litre every 2 days ATM.
it takes a bit to get it where u need it .u need sulfer to lower your pH and that's takes some time to absorb that. I use this fertilizer called Crown jewel all purpose 5 5 5 has cal mag in it but u amend your soil a week ahead of time .that's a nice looking photo for your first time u dam near ready to defoliat and flip your light schedule
It looks very happy
I appreciate the advice but as this is my first grow I'm not going to worry about dialing things right in. I'm willing to accept that my first crop will probably be my worst. I've got a lot to learn so tips like yours are really helpful and I'll make sure to prepare for these things in advance. She's an auto btw. So I presume my light schedule of 18, 6 is still good. Do I still need to defoliate?
well u should be proud most don't grow autos that big .my guess is u planted directly in the pot . yes so going back to the fertilizer I use it gets your soil pH in range with the nutes in it .u get it ready 5 days in advance.but I'd get rid of some leaves if u think there blocking a bud sight I wouldn't get to carried away with it for first time .and 18 /6 fine .I personally do 20's ok n autos just my style.and suggest u start your own more than one way to skin a cat !!
After some watering issues a few weeks ago (I was under watering since flowering...) I've managed to recover my first grow and it's not long to harvest now. I'm monitoring the trichomes closely. I might wait until golden to give it time to fill out. Lessons learnt, next grow is going to be 3 at once.
Looks good, curious as to why you didn't fill the bag, probably would help development by bringing more light, and would give roots more room for growth. As for LST, you could bend her slightly over to expose more light to the nodes.
You're right, I should have used more soil. Hopefully won't make too much difference.
