Grow Timeline (35 updates)
So I started some clones from my biggest plant a few weeks back. They're not looking the greatest, but I think they used up what was available in the soil I started them in so they had a slight deficiency. Finally got them transplanted into their final pots last weekend.
Whoa a bit of a growth spurt from the clones. May have to think about flipping soon.
looking good! youβre about ready for flower! you might look into getting a trellis and stretching your plants out to fill it up. Look up scrogging. it will fill your tent out so you have no dead space and increase your harvest. on strains that get heavy near the end of flower the trellis will hold up the buds and keep the branches from bending or breaking.
Yeah I have the net that came with my 4x4 tent kit. I was hoping they would grow a little slower so I could move them to the 4x4 after my other plants were harvested, but I don't think I'm going to have time.
you got a month left or so in your other tent? Iβm in the same boat with my plants I got in the closet. You can do a really aggressive defoliation and topping probably twice before you move them in there and train them out to the edges of your tent to buy you time.
I'm already almost to my 6 week veg time, and I have 2 to 4 more weeks left with the photos in the 4x4. I'm going to pull a few clones off the clones so that reduce their size a little but idk if it'll be enough. lol
check out on YouTube the Northern Scrogger . this guy is the best & be able to get some great tips on scrogging . looks amazing π
Yeah as soon as I can harvest the old girls I'd like to try scrogging
Iβm not a scrogger my knees & hips are shot I canβt crawl around & underneath anymore. I would prefer to scrog . looking good
I've actually started brainstorming on how I can make a grow platform that raises and lowers. That way I can have the light as close to the top of the tent as it can go but be able to adjust the distance of the plants from the light by moving it down. Instead of having the lights lower and moving them up as the plants grow. With the added bonus of the plants being higher to work with them.
u want to build a platform that u able to raise ?
In a way yes. But make it so I can raise it up at the beginning of the grow and adjust it down as the plants grow. Possibly make my own diy automated platform that keeps the plant canopy at the exact distance from the light. But that's down the road, and a dream. lol Get it set up so the only thing I need to worry about is watering, feeding, and training them. Big ideas that unfortunately I tend not to follow through with. lol
make sure it wonβt take up floor space . use something like a jack system where u can crank it up & down . hydraulicβs . canβt wait to see what u come up with . also I know what u mean by actually getting to it . life always gets in the way .
Oh yeah the whole thing will be confined to the footprint of the inside of the tent. I've not gotten into the design of the lifting system yet. I've also been brainstorming ideas for an automated light height adjuster so it adjusts the light to the set ppfd
what about designing your own light lift ? I canβt wait to see what u come up with
I was brainstorming yesterday about things that growers would buy and they're not currently on the market. lol Gotta find something I can patent and retire from my regular job hahaha
Just a few photos from last night and this morning. I have to crawl under to water the back two because the side doors aren't easily accessible. So I thought the canopy from underneath was kinda cool. Also one of the top of the canopy π€·
Girls are looking a little rough. I need to make sure I water them on time.
hate to say it u look root bound that's what happens when u feed them the right stuff.but wow that's really water? I water my lady's every day spritz them in veg occasionally
huge beautiful plant tho bud solid job !!!
what about using a drip system. might be easier with a trellis .
This is my second cycle. These are clones from one of my first plants. I think I have an issue of the roots wanting to stay towards the top of the pot. I need to figure out why they dont want to grow down. My thought is the bottom of the pot isn't warm enough. So gotta figure out how to fix that first then go from there.
Thank you
Ugh I need to figure something out. I'm too big to be crawling under the canopy to feed and water lol
look into a drip system. u canβt use a self watering system. then u would have to remove the pots to fill . why I canβt trellis . what about watering with one of them wands attachment to the hose
I want to figure something out so I dont have to crawl on the floor lol
a drip system that has multiple drippers & has a reservoir on the outside
looking good π
Thanks
