Grow Timeline (6 updates)

Noticed a bit of browning on my NFT roots... added a bit of peroxide and hydrogaurd. Will do a water change soon.
clones leaves are looking burnt but did perking up a bit. no roots started yet fingers crossed ๐ค๐
your clones may have too many leaves. I usually have 1 node above and 1 below. strip all but one leaf. even sometimes strip all leaves and just leave new growth center baby leaves. you have to limit transpiration
ah thank you... i have read all that before but decided not too lol. do you think I should rip those leaves off or ride it out and see? I believe I'm going on 10 days now... the leaves drooped, then bounced back up, some show signs of the bottom stem closing up. no roots yet.
id take em off and see what she does. also wouldn't hurt to take new clones if you have the space.
2 of them came off during flower... the rest came off a friend's plants before he flowered... if they don't take ill just be popping a bunch of seeds to start in the cloner. I'll try cloning again next run. you won't learn if you don't try.
you can clone off flower it'll take longer and I feel like I've had less success doing so but nothing that makes me say don't do it. keep rocking it unless the stem gets mushy. if you notice white bumps on the cut end you're in good shape and it just needs more time

yeah buddy!!!! the 3 tall ones have an extra node above the collar. if the bottoms of those start looking funky, you can always cut them and try again!!๐ฑ๐ฑ
wicked thanks for the tips!!! very much appreciated!
I've cloned many ways... and honestly nowdays I steer clear of aeroponic cloning. Not because it isn't effective, but other methods are just as effective and even moreso, economical. Nowdays, I cut, then scrape, toss it in a rapid rooter, throw that into a dome add straight distilled water until the bottom of the rapid rooter is submerged, set temp to 78ยฐF and 1-2 weeks later roots are sprawling. @78ยฐF in a dome your humidity will rise to 100%. That will effectively close the stomata and encourage rooting. At about a week or so, I slowly open the vent to wean it into my veg enviroment. you can speed up your process by placing a clear cup upside down over each cut. Poke a few holes in it to make sure it's getting fresh air or you can manually remove the cup for a few minutes a couple times a day. Also less light, the better. Like seedlings, clones thrive around 200DLI, give or take. GL, they'll bounce back, even if you don't dome them, they should eventually root.
@Stash_N_smash thank you for your expertise!!! I will definitely take notes... years ago I was doing a similar method and had no problems. This year I definitely feel like I've lost my cloning touch. these last ones I was a bit lazy and wanted to test out aeroponic cloning for myself... they haven't died yet, but haven't rooted either so I see what you are saying. the aeroponics has been wicked for rooting my veggies after germination though, so not a complete loss.

decided to take some advice from fellow growers and see if I can't save these clones... 2x were looking really bad and dry, so they got tossed... 5 left...
@glitch mentioned i had extra nodes and could possibly cut and retry rooting... so I did so. sanitized my snips, cut, scraped very slightly, dipped in rootech, placed back in...
@stash_N_smash... mentioned the dome or cups over top so I cleaned up my dome for them.
I doubt they are going to root so no faults to these guys as they are probably just to far gone. but hey why not try.
doesn't hurt to try!! good luck๐ฑ๐ฑ
thanks! I love experimenting so let's GO!

Haha dont you worry. I got lots up my sleeve ๐คช ๐ค ๐
๐ I have to start over too. I didnโt get any of those seeds to pop. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ they might just be to old.
oh darn! all those ones you posted the video of? not one?
nope. no yet. first time trying the bag method too, so I might just go back to the good old paper towel
Yeah starting seeds can be so nerve racking... so much different information. ive seen some just soaking 100s of seed in jars until they are sprouted and ready for jiffy pucks but most say not to soak for more than 48hrs I believe. Im 100% stuck on the paper towel method... I used to do it between 2x plates like a ๐ธ slightly raised over a heat mat. lately I haven't used plates just a seedling tray and dome with tray slightly over heat mat.
can't wait to see the redesign!!!!!!
@Glitch thanks... I have a few months to do over summer while it is just too hot to run. Definitely stay tuned ๐ ๐
I hear you on the heat. I moved mine outside but then saw how empty grow room was so I popped seeds ....I just don't learn... remind me of this when I'm complaining about the heat lol
you should try and figure out some kind of geothermal heat sink to cool your room... a pool would be good, just a bit tricky to get the heat transfer to work properly.
no pool here ๐ฅ the room stays pretty good. it's in a basement. I flower in a tent and that's where the issue lies. so Ill just veg for the summer, or clone and give away Mom's if they get too big and repeat that until it cools down,

nice!!! getting garden ready!!!!!๐ฑ
