3rd Auto Grow

Getting ready to get back at it. Sadly had to order soil on Amazon my local grow shop is closing apparently and had no soil in stock, so that kinda sucks. Soon as the soil arrives we will be in business again though! still smoking strong on last harvest.

thinking of running Gary Payton, Wedding Cake, purple punch and Alaskan thunderfuck all autos

What a debacle I've had getting soil this week. tried ordering it last week and it was sold out. placed order today so hopefully this time next week the new grow is up and running.

will be running Purple Punch, Alaskan Thunderfuck, Gary Payton, and Wedding Cake all autoflowers again. This time I ordered from Strng Seeds again. pretty sure they're just a white label company but honestly I liked some of their strains i grew for my first auto grow better then the "name brands" haha

also started my new part time job at the Cornell Cooperative Exchange (part of Cornell university). im lucky enough to live the dream as a grown man, my wife makes all the real money so I get to grow weed and barely actually work lmao granted I also take care of all the household activities and anything our teens need bc she works 60 hour weeks.

so using my play money from this job I plan on getting alot of work done with the basement and converting it into a man cave and grow cave haha expanding the operation with at least 1 more 4x4 tent after this grow to do photoperiods in and start getting some pheno hunting done once I start getting phenos I wanna keep ill buy a 3rd propagation and mother tent for cloning, the kind thats split one side for a mother and 2nd side that is split in half top and bottom for stages of clones before moving to the main flowering tent. will maybe still run autos in the 5x5 but once I have enough fire phenos might switch back to just photos.

So I've been considering starting up a YT/whatever platform i haven't decided channel regarding budget autoflower grows, theres alot of good channels out there but if you look closely you realize these people have sponsors and all types of equipment that your average grower cannot afford. People just want to learn how to grow with simple instructions in a clear hands on manner utilizing the least amount of financial resources possible.

so I've considered making a series on making a small grow area out of things like cardboard/board insulation with an emergency blanket liner and cheapish LEDs, fluorescent and HPS so people can see what the difference in spending money on lights makes.

my main problem is I have zero experience doing video editing so im trying to find someone that would be interested in editing and cutting together footage that I record. and of course if you want to be a part of the filming and add your own educational aspects that's always welcome.

I used to do alot of web programming and design but I've always hated editing videos lol

if anyone is interested in partnering up I plan on starting to film footage throughout this grow and using photos/vids from my previous grows as well.

if we do it right I know we can build a brand. I have big plans for the next few years and am considering getting into breeding and trying to create my own brand there as well, and doing alot of pheno hunts in the process.

Blah.... 2 out of the 3 purple punch auto beans i ordered were no good, they were immature and crushed between my fingers when removing.

so now I gotta request replacements and only running the 1 purple punch, 3x wedding cake, 3x Alaskan thunderfuck, and 2x Gary Payton all autos.

anyways, put em in the dirt last night. 50/50 mixture of FF happy frog and ocean forest with the top 1 inch or so being just happy frog and everything below that a mixture of the soils. Just watered an area as big as the solo cups covering it.

here's to another happy grow, check back for updates. probably wont update til they break ground.

Edit: Since 7 am when I posted this, 4 more broke ground, bringing us to 5 live little babies after only a little over a day and a half direct seed into dirt. I think that top layer of pure happy frog really gives the germination and seedling process a healthy boost. hoping the lower mixture of ocean forest and happy frog will fair better then pure ocean forest on the last grow as well

Surprised this wedding cake broke ground fast. Planted these at like 9 pm on the 19th so barely been a day and a half and she's already poking thru.

Rest of these will hopefully break ground in the next 2 or 3 days tops. Took 3 or 4 days for majority to pop last time but these are from different seedbank and different strains.

Added a shot of the LSD 1 thats been curing for a few months now lol big chonker of a nugget, stuff smokes like fire. not the densest buds but very sticky and smelly

im surprised humidity is that low right now the dehumidifier isn't even running but I've had it at 40% for months now while not growing

after 48 hours 8 out of 9 beans are above ground. thankfully the 1 and only purple punch popped! 1 wedding cake is all thats left if it doesnt pop ill replace it witha Gary Payton prolly

so 8 out of 9 sprouted but the 1 wedding cake showed no signs. so as usual if one is giving problems ill dig it up and see what's going on sometimes it just needs a little help bc it got packed into soil too tight etc but I couldn't even locate the seed so either it didnt germ at all or I somehow dropped it and missed planting completely lol

so needless to say I replaced it, had to use another Gary Payton auto in its place. im a little sad that means I lost 1 wedding cake and 2 purple punch on this grow. I hope these 9 are good genetics and dont give me wonky ruderalis traits or dr grinspoon type mutations lol

those 2 purple punch seeds were immature and I cant even refund or exchange any of the 3 because its past 30 days from order receipt per their policies :(

Not much to comment on at moment. everything is in seedling stage, still waiting for the Gary Payton to pop that I replaced the failed wedding cake with.

One of the ATF looks a little derpy, its a very small seedling compared to everything else and doesnt seem to be getting any bigger, while the others have noticeably larger leaf structure already.

Will let it keep going and if no growth after like 7 to 10 days ill scrap that one too if I gotta and replace it lol thankfully I have plenty of different beans im.having bad luck so far on this grow I've had 3 bad seeds

Sheesh that one pot that originally had wedding cake is still giving me a hard time. I tried digging up the wedding cake to see what's going on and couldn't even find the seed or any signs of germination so I replaced it with a Gary Payton as im out of wedding cake.

went down today and still nothing popped so I dug it up again and at least this time found the germinated seed tail. Soil kept ending up too packed on top after watering so I loosened the soil above it and now hopefully it will finish sprouting. Hopefully I dont have to go through 3 fucking seeds just to get this 9th plant going lmao

and as you can see the derby ATF is really tiny. im not sure what's going on with her yet but she's been that small since popping and no noticeable growth since then really. *shrugs*

I think the grow gods are just angry with me for taking 2 entire month break from growing lol

Got that Gary Payton that replaced the dud Wedding Cake to sprout after digging up the tail and loosening the soil above it, there is now a nice green seedling poking above ground :)

still not sure wassup with the wonky ATF, hopefully it catches up to everyone else. as you can see everything else that sprouted at same time as it, is more then double its size. but nothing really looks wrong with it, other then 1 leaf being a bit derpy and it being smol.

took all the cups off for the night and turned 1 oscillating fan on lightly to start strengthening the stems. humidity is lower then my liking so the solo cups humidity domes going back on in the morning after about 6 hours lol thinking I might be overwatering as well on that one seedling that seems stunted so gonna let it dry out more before next watering and see how she goes

usually without my dehumidifier running it shoots up to 60-80% RH or higher so Im surprised its this low without it running. I let the dehumidifier do its thing at max strnegth for those 2 months I didnt grow so I think it did a good job of removing alot of lingering moisture that was set in already maybe. if this keeps up im gonna need to get a humidifier as well, I will have to dry this batch in the basement so I need to be able to raise and lower humidity to maintain 60% for drying later. plus I prefer 60% to 65 during veg anyways

At this point think it has been 7 days since first sprouts so everything seems to be coming along just fine. over next week or two things should really take off as they develop more solid roots. got a couple water spots on the fan leaves where water droplets landed and I didnt shake them off derp

I always get nervous in the first 2 weeks because they're so tiny and so fragile, for example while watering today the dirt slightly displaced and turned one into a leaning tower lol had to push the dirt from the opposite end against it to stand upright again. feel like I may have been overwatering a little at the start and wasn't letting them dry out enough between watering.

Not sure what day this is since initial sprout, 8 days maybe. couple sprouted later and one was planted later due to failed germ of 1 seed. they seem to be growing a little slower then my last batch of autos but there doesnt seem to be anything necessarily wrong or stunting them, they're just slightly slower growth rate I feel when I compare same time frames to previous auto grows. Hopefully next week or two they'll really take off.

I think the humidity is biggest factor tbh its really low 30 to 40% so I put the clear cups over the ones that will fit still and added buckets of water to the tent to evaporate and help a bit, but have a feeling im gonna need to get a humidifier for the basement or tent, preferably the whole basement bc I need to dry down here as well and I need 60% for that. I must have removed alot of the humidity down here the 2 months I took off from growing and the dehu was running full strength pulling it to 40 that whole time and even without it running it doesnt go above 40 much down there now

Added couple things of water with my fans blowing over them tory and up my humidity. Its been 40 to 45% and think thats what is holding them back right now, might buy a humidifier this week

edit: just ordered an ac infinity cloudforge t3 humidifier hopefully it'll boost it at least 10 to 20% and be good to go inside the tent. wont be here until Tuesday the 9th but it is what it is. might order some self watering bases for cloth pots as well before vacation

struggling with getting humidity up its around 40 to 50% usually closer to 40 most time. might have to order a cheap humidifier this week i think its really holding them back

A humidifier should arrive Tuesday, the babies are definitely struggling with low 40% RH and smaller then they should be.

Also, pretty sure thay 1 Gary Payton I replaced the dud Wedding Cake with is also retarded lmao might have to scrap that plant AGAIN and start a 3rd in its place. Will do a Jelly Donutz if thats the case. Giving it 1 more week to redeem itself.

Got some yellowing around leaf edges going on, thinking maybe time to start nutrients especially calmag. Any opinions on why the edges might be yellowing already? Never had this happen when they were so young

Humidifier arrives Tuesday my babies are definitely lagging behind in size for their age. I never realized how bad humidity can effect early growth as my basement was previously always 60%+++ so this drastic change i did not expect last winter it was like 70% rh down there. Worst case im just gonna end up with smaller plants then usual.

Think that 1 Gary Payton is gonna get tossed. surprised a couple the plants are showing calmag deficiency already they're just barely getting to 2 weeks old. Added 2mL calmag and 1.25 tsp of foxfarm growbig. Might go 5mL calmag on next feed tho.

Everyone got first full feeding a day or two ago, 5ml silica, 5 ml calmag with iron, and 2 tsp of Foxfarm grow big. Also humidity went up to 60% like I've been needing it to now that im watering a larger portion of the pots lol still gonna utilize tbe humidifier though when it comes in tomorrow. The increase in humidity has helped the derpy Gary Payton as well, dont think ill have to 86 that one anymore :)

The derpy Gary Payton is actually looking much better and catching up now. The 3 or 4 plants exhibiting calmag/iron deficiency (at least that what i think it was) seem to at least not be getting any worse, they've at least stayed the same so hopefully any new growth will be fine. Everyone is getting full normal veg feeds for me going forward which is 5 ml silica, 5ml calmag, 1 to 2 tsp foxfarm grow big. Feed every other watering

Everything looking good at about the 14-15 day mark right now. Prepping their feeding for today as usual 5 ml silica, 5 ml calmag with iron, 1.5 to 2 tsp grow big.

That derpy Gary Payton has some super odd lower growths going on lol gonna keep him going just to see what happens tbh originally was gonna off and replace em but now I kinda wanna see what happens to this oddball

Or did I diagnose wrong with the calmag deficiency? Been hitting them with foxfarm grow big 1.5 tsp, silica 5ml, calmag w iron 5 ml every other watering for about a week now. Plants are between 2 and 3 weeks old except the 1 Gary Payton that's a bit younger then the rest.

The older growth on bottom has the rust colored outside of leaves and new growth has like a pastel green coloration between the veins of leaf... originally thought calmag deficiency but it hasn't really gotten "better or worse". Did I diagnose wrong? The bottom leaves are also kinda brittle to the touch and dry feeling but I think that's due to humidity issues too early on.

Looking for some feedback on a decent EC meter for testing my nutrients ppm. Never used one tbh never ran into issues until growing autoflowers this past year. When I get one do I measure the ppm of water/nute water before watering? Or do you test the run off?

Was in a stupid rush to water before leaving this weekend and just realized I never ph adjusted my water. Ughhh.... and pretty sure I may have already been having lockout issues. Im hoping this one watering wont mess it up too much.... guess well see how this week goes.

Honestly im really slipping on this grow and getting sloppy. I've gotten too comfortable and careless recently because according to my wife I spend "more time with the plants then her" (which is not true at all but you know, women lol)

Most pics are of the healthier plants this time. Good thing I have plenty of beans so if any of these end up not making it, I can start replacements right away although might be different strains then originally planned

So wanna say i narrowed the issue down. Its a calmag deficiency due to either ph lockout or chloramine in my water. I learned some new info over the weekend and didnt realize that the chloramine will not evaporate out of my tap water, I need to use ascorbic acid (vitamin c) to neutralize the chlorine and chloramine. I have the dosing ratios I will share later in week after I order some. Don't need much to treat 50+ gals either.

Gonna try applying a foliar spray later tonight of calmag since it doesnt seem to be uptaking it properly from the roots atm. Also accidentally watered with plain tap that I forgot to ph down saturday before leaving for Connecticut lmfao way to compound my issue 🙃 thats what I get for rushing out the door wont make that mistake again.

Will update with results of the calmag spray and using ascorbic acid to neutralize my tap water going forward.

On a plus note despite hitting them with the wrong water, they put on some serious size in 36 hours I was gone. Soon as I fixed the humidity issue they took off!

Updated post: first time ever trying a foliar feeding of calmag, not even sure i sprayed enough onto the leaves but 12 hours later they're looking alot better. Might try one more foliar application later this week.

I turned the lights off for about 4 hours after applying and it looked like all the leaves were nice and dry so I turned them back on and took these photos the following morning. I removed the older damaged growth that was the most rust colored, none of those leaves would make it terribly longer anyways lol was only like 4 to 6 leaves on 3 or 4 plants that were that bad.

The off green lighter color in-between the veins seems to be getting better as well. Going to flush the pots with properly adjusted ph water next and add in some foxfarm boomerang after that to revive the soil a bit.

Gonna order vitamin c (ascorbic acid) tablets to crush up and add to my water from now on going forward to remove chlorine and chloramine. Won't be able to order until tomorrow night so probably wont have them until the weekend. Going to Florida next week the 22nd to 26th so hopefully it'll arrive before then

Added 5ml to 1 gallon of water that's off based, phd to 6.3 after adding calmag. Sprayed all plants and turned lights off for about 4 hours (I usually run 24/7 in veg for autos) but didn't want to burn the leaves or anything. Kept oscillating fan on medium-low and within 4 hours everything looked evaporated so I switched lights back on.

We will see tomorrow if it helped overall everything is looking good tho with all healthy new growth

Finally got the Cloudforge T3 setup and gotta say it was a bit of pain because the instruction manual is garbage lmao it kept spitting out humidity on auto even though it was set to 60% turns out you have to go into OFF and set it to 0, then set ON to 5... then go into Auto and set it to 60%. Had to Google and read forums to figure it out but finally got it misting perfectly.

Watered everyone with 2.5 tsp of foxfarm Boomerang Comeback formula to help restore the microbes that the chloramine killed and fix any PH lockout issues hopefully. Will apply one more foliar calmag spray in 2 to 3 days, then hit with plain water before going on vacation for 3-4 days. Honestly they'll be fine it takes at least 3 days for them to dry out so by the time I get back it'll be aight lol

Also gave everyone a very light defol today, removing the lowest leaves and nodes that will end up dying off later anyways.

Well everything is coming along nicely considering all the troubles I had with humidity early on, and whatever ph lockout or calmag deficiency is going on. One or two are still giving me a hard time, I hit everyone with another foliar calmag spray this morning.

Used foxfarm boomerang yesterday so waiting for it to dry out then will water with properly phd plain water, then feed before leaving for 4 days on vacation.

Overall everyone should make it into flower though lol 😆 just gotta get em to the finish line and I really need to narrow down this issue because its popped up every grow. Maybe I need to change soil or nutrient brand idk hoping the ascorbic acid I order today will help as well

Edit: gave everyone their first tie down little later then id have preferred but alot going on past few weeks with both my wife's mother and my mother in ICU on ventilator. They got my mother off sedation and breathing tube today, still hoping for a good outcome for my wife's mother as well. Just trying to take everything day by day glad I have this hobby to keep me grounded

Babies seem to be bouncing back fast after the 2nd foliar feeding this week of calmag dosed at 5ml per gal. Also fed 2.5 tsp of Foxfarm Boomerang Comeback formula roughly 36 to 48 hours ago.

Looking way healthier overall now. Everything seems to be going into preflower stretch as well now. Ill transition to the 1000watt adjustable HPS later then the last 2 grows, feel I coulda gotten better preflower stretch by staying with the T8 lights. I feel I switched too early on the last few grows so gonna see how it does me this time waiting lol

Feel like im one of the few still using T8 fluorescent for veg and HPS for flower. My 2nd tent that ill be starting in the next month or two is gonna be LED however, will be curious to see the difference in results and determine whether I also make tbe change for my main tent. Im old school I guess lol

Everyone is slowly transitioning to flower now, not quite as big and bushy on a few as id hoped at least compared to previous grows, but I truly believe thats due to the low humidity issues early on for first 2 weeks.

Gave everyone a foxfarm growbig foliar spray last night as I just gave them boomerang 2 or 3 days ago so the soil and roots need a plain watering first, and at the same time we're in need of a fertilization going into preflower stretches.

Normally id be switching to the hps any day now but im on vacation the 22nd to 26th and last time I went on a 3 day vacation right when I switched to hps it dried everyone out too fast and they were limp noodles that I thought died lol since next watering needs to be a thorough one anyways im gonna keep this light on for 1 more week just so I hopefully have less issues coming home. Really need to get some auto pots but ya know, money lol

Normally id switch to HPS like right now but ill be away from the 22nd to 26th. Hoping everything dries back enough to water before leaving on Monday night so I can properly water then. With this light on it will hold until I get back, but if I switch to HPS it will dry right out like last year when I went on vacation and thought I killed everyone. Looked like limp noodles lol

The Alaskan Thunderfucks and Wedding Cakes are looking super short and squat, just how I want my pure indices to look in veg. Trying to LST them a bit anyways just to open up their canopies to more light later on. Overall everything is transitioning nicely. Will maybe give a foliar spray of calmag once more before leaving and then hopefully going forward my issues should be solved. B

Heading to Florida for Universal Studios xmas eve and Epcot Xmas day. Gonna tie down the taller two once more before leaving and give a decent watering. Will return on the 26th and transition to HPS for rest of flower.

I cant believe how much growth happened in just 3-4 days of being gone, I definitely did everything right before leaving lol gonna rearrange them n switch to HPS today.

Got em all switched over to the HPS, also gave first full flower feeding of 50% strength Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom, 25% strength Grow Big along with 5ml Silica and 5ml Calmag. Let the budding begin!!!

I like that the vivosun growcam adjusts for the HPS light automatically, gives a clearer more accurate coloration then just taking a photo

Stupid breaker tripped for the 2nd time since flowering started, pretty sure I have too much stuff running off that switch. Technically not supposed to use an extension chord with a space heater but I have to use outlets from the other half of the basement to spread power out, having the 1000watt hps, 2 fans, a humidifier, radiant space heater and a camera all running off one switch is just too much lmao so need to figure out ways to spread some of the power out to other outlets that are on a different breaker.

My son is technically an electrician so also gonna have him take a look at everything soon and see what we can do, if theres any fixes or upgrades I can make over next few weeks I will

All but 2 plants are fully into the swing of flowering. The 2 are getting really close to putting out flowers and I'm fine with that as they are a little larger and bushier then the rest.

Canopy is actually fairly even but still going to go thru and tie everyone down a bit more. There's a couple that weren't tied down much, if at all, due to them being very short and stout prior to preflower stretching. But they've caught up and and considering they arent in full swing of things yet they will continue to get taller if I dont tie em down now.

According to the app this is day 38ish lol think it might be closer to 40 something though from first sprouts I haven't really been counting this time around since they all grow and flower at different rates. One of the two that took longer to flower is finally starting to throw out buds and the other one is getting ready to any day. Think those 2 plants will probably end up being the largest of the batch in the end.

Later today will be a feeding day, think im gonna cut out the Grow Big completely on this feed everyone looks like they have plentyyy of Nitrogen in em so Im just gonna go with the silica, calmag, tiger bloom and big bloom. Silica and calmag at the usual 5ml per gal, and will probably do another 50% strength flower nute feed, going up to 75% strength on next feed.

Everything is actually looking super healthy right now. Canopy is fairly even as well. I haven't done much defoliation yet, only 3 to 5 leaves or so that were already messed up from the calmag def/ph lockout or whatever was going on before. I tell ya that 25% strength feeding flush, foxfarm Boomerang, and foliar feeding seems to really do the trick when that issue arises.

Probably the healthiest all 9 plants have ever looked for me at this stage. We're going into like day 10 or 11 of flower now after about 30 days of vegging. Should be somewhere around day 41.

Turned up the HPS from 600w to 750w today, will keep an eye on everything but the increased temp and light should help lower my humidity and get my VPD more into the range im trying for 1.2 to 1.5.

Everything is looking super healthy though, especially when you go back and see how derpy a few of them got at points during veg lol that one gary Payton I wasn't even sure would make it and it had some weird growth at the start but here we are, everyone is budding proper now :)

Everyone is looking good and tolerating the light increase so far. Gonna hit everyone with their first real defoliation after work tonight, hopefully it won't be quite as cramped up in there afterward lol

Finished giving everyone their first haircut, tried to take off as little as possible just lower growth thats useless and anything blocking light and airflow to center of plant. Everything is looking perfect so far :)

Well so far so good dont wanna jinx myself but overall this is now probably my healthiest autoflower grow ever lol hopefully it keeps up. As you can see since bumping the light strength up from 600w to 750w they've really started filling out, and quite a few are actually showing alot of trichs already

Tied down the 2 plants that were getting to tall a bit more 😆 canopy is looking much more even now that they recovered and reset. Really looking forward to the rest of this grow, I still cant get over how healthy every single one is right now. This is also the first autoflower grow I've had where all 9 came out proper and now with 1 or 2 plants of wonky genetics or sickly looking lol

Booked a 5 or 6 night trip to Jamaica at the Sandals all inclusive resort in September for our 5 year anniversary, looking forward to trying some authentic Jamaican bud. Maybe if I get lucky ill come across some good landrace beans and mail them back to myself lol when we went to Grenada it was during covid and I could only get bud from 2 people on the resort (we weren't allowed to leave resort) and it was craaaazy expensive (talking hundreds of USD for a 1/4) and it was the worst ditch weed ever lol hoping I come across that good Jamaican herb

Other then that the current grow is going great, today was a regular water day PHd to 6.0-6.2

Tell me how NYSEG installed a smart meter at our house and our winter electric bill went from $200-300 MAX a month to $600-800?! I grew all last year and lived in this house for the entire winter and my highest bill was in the 300s. This house is like 1100 sq feet and we don't turn the thermostat past 65 all winter im just so fucking beyond annoyed and stressed by how they get away with this kind of bullshit.

Got some leaves are yellowing earlier then id like. Gonna give them their monthly dose of Foxfarm Boomerang followed by a 25% strength feed of Grow Big, 5ml silica and 5ml calmag and that should prevent any further Nitrogen/greenery issues. Next will be 75% strength feedings going forward for a week or two then will cut back to 50% until final weeks when I flush.

Ive heard there's a really good flushing nute/product out there but I cant remember the name for the life of me and its pissing me off lol really wanted to give it a try as opposed to just my usual 7 to 14 day plain PHd water flushing. If anyone knows what im talking about and knows the name of the product please comment below lol

Finally corrected the grow timing, today is day 54 from first day of sprouting. 2 plants are 5 to 7 days younger, so they are at day 48-50ish. I think these are all doing very well and plumping up nicely. Very good trich development for their age as well. Hoping to have some "sample buds" ready for my birthday on February 28th. Just a couple little samplers from each plant that I will dry (won't cure the samples) to try around then. Ordering a better quality scope as well for perfect harvest timing and better macro shots for yall.

Really looking forward to the end results of this grow, everyone is looking thick, tight and fairly frosty already. Considering they do the most fattening, thickening, and frosting in the last few weeks.. these have some nice potential 👌

Rarrr had 2 plants yellow up basically overnight. Its hard to tell because of the HPS will take better photos when I get a chance this weekend. Wish I could figure out why this happens on every grow around this time point with a few of them. Pretty sure its just bc they're really hungry plants and need me to up the feed strength to 100%. Been giving 50% to 75% strength of the recommendation on the labels. After this Boomerang feed has taken hold (gonna water with plain water for the next one or two watering days, unless they start looking hungry before the 2nd one then I will add nutes to that). I generally try to wait 5 to 7 days after giving Boomerang before giving any other nutrients though, but I will let the plants tell me what it is they need lol

Honestly good timing though I was planning on hitting everyone with their monthly Boomerang dose today anyways. Thus, hitting them with 2 tsp of Foxfarm Boomerang Comeback formula. I actually use it as part of my feeding schedule no matter what, I've noticed a huge difference using it once at start of preflower, and then one more time halfway through flower. Keeps em healthy and they seem to fatten up better and get frontier.

Were in NY getting hit with that bad snow storm and at noon today heard a transformer blow. Supposedly 2:15 to 3:30 it will be back on but we will see

Still cant seem to get the yellowing under control with those 2 plants, its continued to advance. Hit them with Boomerang a few days ago once they dry back i will water them with 25% strength grow big and then next watering full strength feed of all bloom nutrients and then hopefully they will get back on track. Not sure why this keeps happening but every auto grow I've done has had 2 or 3 plants yellow almost overnight and then give me a hard time correcting. If anyone has ideas what could be causing this or how to prevent it/make it better lmk

Think this is day 66 or so, hoping some of these will start wrapping it up in next 3 to 4 weeks tops. My stash is completely empty now just ran out of last harvest lol not bad considering I took a 2 month break in-between these grows and gifted a good amount of the last harvest as well.

Prevented any further yellowing so far on those 2 plants. Stuff that's already turned yellow is what it is but it hasn't gotten any worse. If the one plant keeps yellowing I might pull a couple branches a little early depending on how I feel about it. Its really just those 3 branches that are tied up, the rest of the plant is looking good still.

The 1 and only purple punch unfortunately did not turn purple and is a little further behind everyone lol but I like the way the buds are looking on it so far. At some point in next few days when I give everyone their last haircut I will get better photos of the individual strains and their phenotypes

Just maintaining my usual water, feed, water, feed rotation now. Feeding at 75% strength of recommended dosing on bottles of FF tiger bloom and big bloom along with 5ml silica and calmag still. Can't wait for these to be ready, they're looking dumb frosty!

Clipped 2 or 3 small nugs off this 1 GP thats legit folding in itself from its own weight. Im not even joking this is the densest auto flower ive ever seen not to mention frostiest. Based on the nugs I clipped off it definitely has a week or two until its really done but idk how much more it can take before everything is just folded over to the ground lol everything else definitely has about 2 weeks until they're done but overall everything is looking pretty solid and frosty.

Getting so close to the end with this batch. Pretty sure theres 2 or 3 that are pretty much done any day now unfortunately my scope is broken and I haven't gotten around to ordering a new one, so gonna have to go based on good old growers intuition this time. There's still quite a few white pistils on the majority but theres 2 or 3 that are pretty much all orange hairs now so just letting them go at least another week and then will reassess. Especially that Gary Payton that was flopping all over lol def gonna have to film when I harvest it so you can see just how much the branches were really weighed down

Had a small sample branch that I dried off one of the wedding cake and found 2 seeds already. I dont see any hermied parts on any of my plants so how does this even happen? And what would the genetics even be like if I tried to grow them out? Obviously not feminized but should still be autos right?

Pretty sure a few these are actually done now they haven't shown any signs of growth or change the past 3 to 5 days so probably gonna take a closer look tonight to determine what will come down in the next 5 to 7 days max if not sooner. My electric bill was fucking over $1,000 this month so im gonna take a break after this harvest to see how much of a difference it makes in my bill

Took a small clipping off each plant from the lower branches to dry and sample early lol this also gives me a better idea of when I want to harvest the plants. By the time these are dried (not going to cure) and sampled it should be day 90ish so most plants should be ready except 1 or 2 im thinking.

The thick ATF and purple punch will be last to harvest, think the 2 wedding cakes might be done along with a Gary Payton and maybe an ATF. Might start flushing them soon and will harvest them in about 7 days of im feeling it with the rest to follow in next week or two max.

At this point definitely both wedding cakes, 1 Gary Payton and I forget what the 4th was, but all are ready to be harvested any day so im gonna start flushing them and pull by the weekend.

All the little sample nugs I pulled 1 small bud from all 9 plants are still drying but everything looks solid and tight even from the 5 plants that are still growing. Looking forward to this harvest for sure!

Smoked a few of the small samples I took and this stuff is gonna be straight fire after a good dry and curing. However was disappointed to find that at least half the plants have seeds in em. Still not sure how this happened I looked every one over for signs of male parts and see no hermaphrodite signs either. Must just be stress either light during dark cycle or the low temps we had alot of -20 nights and I kept the basement as warm as possible but who knows. Im not too mad its just a seed here or there, its not like they're packed with seeds

Welp, getting ready to start harvesting. Pulling at least 4 plants by end of this week with rest coming down in next 7 to 10 days or so. Started flushing the 4 plants thay are ready, they have had 2 plain waterings so far and will probably get at least 1 or 2 more. I usually try to dry them out a bit prior to harvest so it might just be 1 more watering.

Looks like pretty much all the plants were effected by whatever stressed them. Still see no signs of male/hermied parts so it had to be due to low temps or light leaks although this didnt happen on my previous autoflower grows last year so who knows what really caused it. But im going to end up with an abundance of selfed-produced seeds which should all be female autoflowers, im thinking (but not really sure lol) if anyone is interested in trying to grow some beans out we can talk and see if we can produce some decent plants from all these seeds. There isn't a ton of them i find maybe 2 or 3 seeds per blunt that I roll. But I will still probably end up with well over 100 mature seeds once I smoke through this harvest if not a few hundred. Not sure what the genetics would be considered but all came from one of 4 strains: purple punch, gary Payton, Alaskan thunderfuck and Wedding Cake all autoflower feminized seeds. So far ive found seeds in at least 7 of 9 plants but im almost positive all 9 were effected.

Pulling the first 4 plants to be done either Friday or Saturday. Everyone else will be done the following week most likely. Little inside nugget shot of a sample I dried but did not cure, stuff is all straight piff so im not even mad that theres some seeds in all of this lol plan on actually trying to grow 2 or 3 plants from seeds I find in these on the next grow.

Sadly ill be taking another hiatus for a month or so, trying to see how much of an impact growing has on our electric bill because it has legit tripled ever since they added these dumbass smart meters

Both Gary Paytons flopped right over to the ground after cutting the rope that was holding them up lol got some heavy nuggers on there for sure. One of them has some nice deep royal purple running through the veins and buds.

Everything is drying at 60% humidity and 61.5 degrees F. We'll, 55% RH right now but i adjusted the dehumidifier so it will go up to 60.

Have way more photos then I can post here lol will post more photos over next few days as I flush and prepare to harvest the next 5 plants this coming week

Have gotten really good at manipulating the environment in my basement this last year. Am able to adjust temps and humidity at will pretty much to any range of 40% to 80% RH inside and outside tent and 60 to 80 degrees F inside tent (usually around 61 outside the main tent as you see, the HPS in the growing tent bumps it up to mid/low 70s). But sitting at a perfect 60% RH and 61 degrees Fahrenheit so looking forward to this dry going well. There is a ceiling fan and box fans circulating air nearby but not blowing directly on them

Started flushing 3 of the 5 remaining plants to harvest later this week. The 1 purple punch and 1 of the Alaskan thunderfucks got a full feed. Not sure how much longer im willing to let them go, the ATF especially still has almost all white hairs idk if they're ever gonna turn orange at this rate lol don't have a working scope right now might try and order one this week

Everything else is at like 72 hours of dry time so far and environment has stayed perfectly at 60% RH and 60-62 degrees F so should be a nice low and slow dry for about 12ish days until they're ready for jars and grove bags. Gonna order a few QP sized Grove bags for curing this time around and just use the 1 Oz bags for when I gift buds to people

Probably gonna feed the ATF one or two more times, gonna check on the purple punch as well but think they're all nearing the end. Gonna water the others with plain water one more time then harvest this weekend

Trimmed up a gary payton and a wedding cake nugger today just to see how they looking under there. Still has a few more days of drying to go for sure. Still planning on harvesting 3 or 4 more plants this weekend with the last 1 or 2 plants coming shortly after

Actually harvested these yesterday. Hung the whole plant this time instead of taking off branches. some the others are on day 8 of drying and I will probably start trimming tonight and let dry bit more. They're not quite ready for jars still alot of moisture in the stems

First few are the purple punch i harvested today. Didnt intend to but I fell down the basement stairs while carrying it after trimming off dead leaves and broke most the branches off anyways lol so just cut the whole plant down

Gonna pull the last Alaskan thunderfuck tomorrow morning, that one made it back down without me busting my ass down a flight of stairs lol

Harvested the final plant, an Alaskan Thunderfuck. Everything is hang drying at 55-60% Rh and 59 to 62 degrees Fahrenheit.

Started the eternal trim jail as im doing it all by myself i want to cry everytime I enter the basement and realize just how much trimming I have to do lololol

Lol I been slacking maybe halfway through getting it all trimmed the basement has stayed at 60% rh and 60 degrees F tho and at this point pretty much everything has had at least 2 weeks to dry. Gonna try and get the trimming done Will post more cured and dried photos soon

Still have 3/4 of the ATF 3 plant to trim and then thia batch is officially donezo besides curing. Nit a bad haul, I dont bother weighing my harvests anymore tbh i just go based on amount of jars lol ive probably smoked 2 or 3 jars worth or more already since harvesting. Will probably get 3 to 4 more jars out of whats left to trim.


Will be starting the next batch of autos in a week or two, gonna run more jelly donutz and maybe gary Payton. Might order some new seeds though too, but definitely plan on at least doing some jelly donutz
