Day 5

Had a vpd issue with the Gelato, not enough humidity in the tent. Will it recover? All are autos

Should recover, just keep an eye on the lil’ ladies

TC420

Maybe try a humidity dome

MattFatt7

Will do, thank you for taking the time to answer me. Happy growing!

Just keep the domes on. I spray the inside of the dome, before I put them back. Watch your light intensity, turn it down if you have to. I have my VPD between 1.8 and 2.2 the whole time. I have sprouts, veg, and flowering plants all running in the same 2x4 tent.

MattFatt7

I had one on it to start but after it popped up I took it off....should kept it on a awhile longer.

MattFatt7

Wow, I have been trying to keep it down to around .8. Plants are 22 inches away. How far away from the light do you keep your seedlings?

TC420

I keep my light about 18” - 2’ above and dialed down intensity between 5-7

MattFatt7

Im at 50% intensity 72Β°F 70% humidity VPD is .71 20-22 inches from lights

MattFatt7

Im at 50% intensity 72Β°F 70% humidity VPD is .71 20-22 inches from lights What light are you using?

TC420

Spiderfarmer G3000 main light, AC Infinity Ionbeam S16 supplemental lights, AC Infinity Ionbeam UV4 UV lights

TC420

Running main and sup lights on 12/12. Main on 7 sup on full UV run 10min an hour for whole 12 hrs

TC420

This is for flower, for starting I would run main and sup at 5-7 on a 18/6 schedule and skip the UV lights

I have my seedlings in cardboard cups sitting on the floor of the tent. So they are approximately 20-24 inches from the light. My PPFD meter is at canopy height, and I try to run my light as high as I can without creating too much heat. I like using the cardboard cups because I can just put them in the pots, no transplanting stress. Ordered a Aerolush last night, so hopefully heat won't be an issue much longer :-)

MattFatt7

Thank you for the tips!

Lynchcorp

Watch tapering off tho bring inside of domes too long. I learned that the hard way why I've never used domes an jus let the plant do its thing.

MattFatt7

I kept the domes on for a day after I posted this. Thanks again brother. The Gelato repaired itself. Will post a pic in a little bit.

She just needs a bit of cal mag. About 200-300 ppm of cal mag

SIX

Water with misting spray bottle for the first week or so, otherwise easy to overwater

SIX

Recharge is full of potassium hydroxide, I believe, so way too early for application, I use rapid start from GH to feed when little. Feed with spray bottle as well. They don’t have enough roots yet to handle water in soil. They get it from the humidity in the air. Temp 80 humidity 85% and she will blast off

MattFatt7

Thank you brother! I reused my soil from last grow and thought I could add recharge to replenish lost nutes.

GrowGeek420

Need to feed her.

G
GrowGeek420

No recharge will just replenish microbe colonies

MattFatt7

Are you saying just feed her water because I just watered yesterday

D
DitchWeed

I agree, way too early for anything but water. At this stage I only give 20-30 ml of water at feeding, spray the inside of humidity dome. Don't pour the water from the dome directly on the seedlings when you put it back on.

D
DitchWeed

I would let it dry back for a day or two

MattFatt7

Will do man, thank you.

Funkey

I just use water until I have first leaf only nutes I add if I need them are cal mag and I do use a gentle ones foop plant spray
