The tall plant is showing some yellow in the leaves. I did a horrible job of training this time around again. i grew all 5 plants under same conditions and was left with 1 thats crazy tall, 1 thats short and thick and beautiful and 1 thats has 2 heads! please send help! lol I have trellis nets and what nut but am struggling to find the right way to do this. However, I now fully understand the concept and what is trying to be accomplished so that helps!
I did some pruning and I'm noticing a positive effect. Buds are looking good, im considering the flushing for this weekend. I'll be real honest, I smoke atleast an OZ a week. sometimes I get lazy and don't document dates and things like that. My wife has a better idea then i do so who knows what week I'm in, but I can generally ballpark. My goal is to be able to tell what the plants need without anything other than my own two eyes! it will take a lot of trial and error but I'll get there! After I flush I leave them in tent for about a week until it's time to hang them up!
looking nice and sugary. my wife and I smoke about an oz a week between us as well. nearing harvest for a couple of mine hoping I get about a HP total from all 9 plants but might be more or less
Sweet! with 9 plants at a time you should def meet your HP quota. I have space to Flower about 5 at a time, while my veg tent is setup for 9. I figure with 5 constantly flowering I should be able to harvest before I run out of my last batch. This way I never run out and keep the cycle going! This is my second harvest. my first harvest i didn't catch the male plants in time and my male plants F****ed my female plants and I harvested about 50 seeds and maybe 2 OZ of weed from 3 plants. This harvest was started with seeds I actually grew myself😅 I'm excited to see how much I actually yield. To the Naked eye I'd say I lt seems I atleast have about 2 Oz minimum on each plant. To maximize yield, definitely make sure you are topping your plants! this time around im noticing how many more bud sites get created.
oof I got lucky overall the whole grow is autos of 4 different strains total (3x sundae driver, 3x Blue dream, 2x pineapple express and 1x Skywalker OG) so I was only expecting an OZ a plant to begin with anything more then that and I'll be happy. 5 or 6 of em ended up with some of the biggest main colas I've ever grown whose bases are bigger then a coka cola can lol lm hoping a couple of em pull 2 plus zips each and that even my leafier sativas should yield about an oz. im gonna run 4 photos next from clones that a buddy has and hoping for a QP plus per plant on that grow I'm doing all this in a single 5x5 adding a 2nd veg tent later this year I already have a seedling tent too that I'm using for drying this harvest
I didn't top them because auto flower I just lstd by tying down and it made a huge difference I did try topping one and it didn't seem to matter much if anything it stunted the plant too much. I also made a couple mistakes along the way didn't add in silica and calmag until late in grow and had temp issues/light being too strong in flower with the 1000watt double ended HPS. also ended up in hospital for few days during this grow recently and some of them are in recovery mode from that so next time around I know what mistakes I made and how to correct em my next grow with the photos I will be topping, tying down and scrogging and hoping for qp plus per plant long as I get about a P per harvest it'll be a good year and shouldn't have to ever buy bud again
i did a flush round and fet some nutes and im seeing good results. did ibflush too early? probably? However this is second harvest so will get better with trial and error!
think you flushed too early tbh I don't flush long only 5 to 7 days for autos and 7 to 10 days for photos. I feel like those last couple weeks are critical for feeding to really pack on the dense flowers
yeah i flushed probably a bit early but started with a fresh batch of nutes. so far the effect seems positive. i definetly thought i was further along in the flowering phase but i can visually see how i was wrong now. the buds are growing in becoming more dense i got some more weeks of this to go
This is my second official attempt at drying. That being said id love some tips or tricks of the trade! i have a fan going but not facing the buds. I have 3 plants ready to be chopped up. This is a little less than half of the first. looks to be a little less than an OZ but ill weigh after curing. I cut it early because this plant had some smaller buds and ive read if i cut the top buds, the plant will spend its energery on the smaller buds. I can tell you the smaller buds have filled in more! The rest will be chopped up today. The other two plants i did a better job with training and pruning so i didnt really have small buds so they will be cut fully at 1 time. Im excited to make edibles with my trimmings and get started on the curing process!
i cheated and took a few buds and did a little rapid dry. Threw some in the bong. Very happy with the end result, and after proper drying and curing im expecting and even better result!
60% humidity and as close to 60 degrees as you can get. im currently at 55 to 60% humidity and 70 to 72 degrees. not much i can do about the temp, its as low as I can get it with ac in this house without adding a whole other unit in the drying room which im not really willing to do atm. check on them daily and make sure you have a fan not blowing directly onto them, I usually dry in a small grow tent dedicated to drying and use the bottom vent with a fan blowing air out of the tent from the inside. I check on buds until the stems start to snap, then jar time
I'm always a fan of supercropping. pinch the stem to kind of crush the innards and bend it over. when you're first learning it's scary and yes you'll snap a branch or two, but it'snot a bad method to control the tall ones
