Grow Timeline (100 updates)
Got everything cleaned up after I was away for few weeks and basement flooded. Just put all 10 of these autos in the dirt today.
3x Jelly Donutz (Humboldt), 3x LSD (Barney's Farms), 2x Jack Herer (greenhouse seeds) and 2x Apple Fritter (royal queen seeds) all autoflowers versions. apple fritter was a freebie pack and the 5 pack of jelly donutz I cracked open today actually had 6 seeds in it so there's a bonus there as well lol really looking forward to the jelly donutz and lsd, I've grown LSD photoperiods back around 2010 and there was a few killer phenos so hoping the auto version is just as fire. heard a lot of good things about jelly donutz in terms of potency and looks so also looking forward to that.
Here's to another solid grow, mates! I'll see ya in a few days when they break ground.
Oh yeah just using ocean forest this time didn't mix it 50/50 with Roots organics like last time. I gotta pick up some clear solo cups to use as humidity domes as well, I just used some smaller domes I had laying around for now since they were just planted today anyways. did not germinate just right into the dirt and lightly watered around where they were planted then popped a dome on em. that's all for now until they break ground then the race begins
edit: forgot to add that these are 5 or 6 gallon cloth pots folded in half. however just one of the jelly donutz is being run in a full pot just to see what kind of difference soil size makes and whether I should try going up in size for all my next grows or not. also hoping the tent doesn't get too crowded later on since I'm doing 10 this time instead of 9 as well.
Been about 3 days since they were placed directly into the soil. I usually don't germinate and then plant just put the bean right into the ground so it will take 1 to 2 weeks to really see much of anything happening. if nothing happens by end of 10 days or so I'll dig them up and see what's going on, have plenty more of these seeds to replace any duds.
woot woot. planted these directly into ground no pregermination phase on the 28th and already have 4 sprouts. 1 jelly donutz has popped, 2 LSD have popped and 1 apple fritter as well. for just under 4 days since planting that is probably the fastest I've seen them break ground
Great sign of things to come.
ty definitely the fastest I've ever had seeds produce green leaves above ground since planting directly in dirt. this is why I prefer to skip germinating and just go straight into the ground at 75 to 80 degrees with a humidity dome and good to go within a week
Actually did the same with mine. I used to just toss em water bottles.
I will always go straight into cubes or Iβll get seed starter soil & jiffy pots . then u can go straight to containers. I do the straight into the container too . I canβt be bothered with paper towel method. I have great success this way . I hate grabbing the seed with tap root . whatever works π
I agree, straight to substrate and final home with autos. Photos, however I like to step up in a series to apply mykos and fresh soil.
I germinated beforehand last time and feel like all it did was add a few days into the growing time lol
Azos is another great beneficial bacteria that helps promote rooting & helps prevent transplant shock . autos best if u plant into final container. I like root cubes or the jiffy pots I been using lately are really easy as well . always keep it simple
π― love the bacterial advantage
I don't use Azos, because Root Drench & Microbe Brew give me all I need with a broad spectrum of bacterials. Maybe I'll compare once my supply runs low.
I usually use some happy frog soil when starting but using straight oceans forest on this grow. should be alright though never had any issues using just OF in previous grows. granted that wasn't with autos but photos
You'll be fine... another trick is to use happy frog in the middle of the pot, or even to blend the 2. Logic is that OF may be too hot for some seedlings, so by having HF as a buffer medium around the root zone of the seedling will mitigate this risk. By having OF on the top and bottom layers will allow the extra nutrients to slowly leach downward and as the roots work their way to the bottom of the pot, they'll notice there's plenty of nutrients which will aid with extending the vegetative state as it reduces possible stress while alerting the plant that there's plenty of nutrients so it doesn't flip to flower in it's early stages.
yeah I usually put the happy frog in the center little more then a solo cup sizes worth. or I'll do like a 70/30 OF/happy frog mixture. but my local shop only had ocean forest in stock this time so just worked with what I had. I've never really had any issues with it being too hot before I usually wait 3 weeks at least before adding in any nutrients besides what's in the soil already. next grow I will order some happy frog on Amazon if I have to
Another thing to consider next time, if you haven't, is to add 25% Perlite per volume of Substrate to increase O2 and drainage. For some reason the Peat Moss in FF does retain a high moisture level which reduces oxygen, while photos handle it well, it may cause an auto to flip. This video shows how bad unammended FFOF really can be with this issue when compared to lighter mediums. https://youtu.be/TqR5oGpnPBs?si=pe4C0B7adLTZR0ec
Azos is good if u transplant. helps with rooting & transplant shock . big help with nitrogen delivery
if u go organic a lot of people will put the ocean forest in bottom half of container & happy frog on the top the happy frog isnβt as hot with nutes as the ocean forest. whatever is working for your grow I would stick with it
also with peat moss if u it dries out it will become hydrophobic & it wonβt recover
Absolutely... so does alfalfa sprout tea, seaweed tinctures and extracts, seed extracts, etc. Roots Gold is some awesome stuff, as well as Root starter from General Hydroponics. I'll definitely add some AZOS (I assume your refering to Xtreme Gardening product specific) to my cart and watch for deals.
@Hasaki420 in my experience FFOF has never been hot, but I've been in forums where people who grow autos exclusively say there are strains out there, so better safe than sorry. So I figure it's cheaper on the wallet anyways. Better to lean on the safe side than to deal with consequence. BioFlower is awesome soil, perfect for autos. The only catch is, if you can't find it locally, everyone I've found online charges an arm and a leg for shipping it.
yes extreme garden . they also have the mycho granules which I like . easier then the powder when adding to soil . only thing I like the powder when applying to root zone . canβt win em all . just another excuse to buy more stuff for this addiction
LOL, yeah great products bring forth great results! I got a whole cabinet of goodies I go to. The addiction to growing outweighs the addiction to staying lit... I think π€ ππ€£π
at least this is a safe addiction. a lot of fun & great hobby, keeps u busy & out of trouble. I enjoy it a lot more now since Iβm only doing it for a hobby . when I was doing it illegally it wasnβt fun especially when I got caught LOL
π―
Overnight the last few popped their heads above ground, so 4 or 5 days or so completely from seed into the ground to seeing green above ground.
So that's a good sign of things to come this grow especially with all 10 being successful. looking forward to rapid growth and bountiful yields lol
Well at this early stage there's not much to update or see since it's only been a couple days since they've popped above ground.
Just waiting for them to get bigger pretty much. Gradually watering outward but other then that looks pretty much the same as 2 or 3 days ago while I wait for everything to take root and get bigger.q
Still not much to see at this stage lol seedlings still just growing out at different rates. got a couple runt looking ones and a couple that are like double the size of others but that doesn't mean much of anything at this point. one of the Jack herer looks a little derpy in terms of leaf formation but all of this usually sorts itself out as they mature. and even being smaller don't mean shit at this point either really. these are like... 6 days or so old at this point since breaking ground.
a few of them have some kinda weird warping going on with the leaves where they are bent not sure why some are like that and others aren't. it's not one particular strain either, it's like one jelly, one Jack and one apple. one of the jelly has some spots on the leaves as well.
hoping they grow out of whatever this is. just plain water in soil right now. started watering entire medium yesterday after about 6 days of growth.
possible that temperature swings were responsible for the leaves warping like that? the temps went from like 60ish to 80-90 pretty much overnight up here in NY and my tent is at like 80-83 degrees. I need to add another fan or two and maybe even some kind of AC unit especially when I go into flower and switch to hps.
any recommendations on in-tent AC/heat units that can maybe alternate between AC and heat? I've seen some of the Vivosun units and am thinking about that
Welp, just chugging along slowly at day 10 above the dirt. The jelly donutz in the 5 gal container has weird 2 leaf formation on the top sets coming in lol but other then that everything is looking fine so far.
also made some cannabutter using 3 oz of trim from the last harvest and then made some no bake Reese's with it and ended up being way more potent then I expected lol knocked me out for 12 hours straight
Edibles always knock me, i think my gut just processes it differently. I always end up greening out
Looking real good for the end of day 12. Raised the light an inch or two, other then that just business as usual. No feeding yet either, I will wait at least a few more days to start adding in any nutes, possibly after 3 weeks total or so I will feed then. I just gauge it on how everything is looking
Getting so big n so stronk. Couple have some odd leaf structures on some of the early fans but no biggy other then that everything is coming along nice and healthy. a couple are like half size of the rest but whatevs. will start giving nutes next week probably
Ah the lil ladies looking nice n healthies. will probably start feeding them on the next watering.
Planning on small amount of silica and Calmag along with the Foxfarm Grow Big for the next few weeks of veg as it transitions into the preflower stretch I will taper off veg nutrients and add/increase flower nutes and continue with silica and Calmag until flushing.
next time around I will also be starting the next batch 2 to 4 weeks prior to harvesting this one, that way the next ones are as close to being ready for flower as possible. trying to get my harvest time down to every 6 to 8 weeks at the most instead of a full 3 months of growing a batch out.
edit: I was curious how far along my first auto grow was at this point. I will always plant directly into their final dirt right away and I will always plant directly into the soil and not germinate. January 1st (photo is in included above) on the last grow they broke ground, around January 30th is when I transplanted them and it wasn't until the first few weeks of February that they were as big as these ones. so counting germination, veg and transplant they were already 5 to 6 weeks old when they were this big on the last grow... so hope that's a good sign that this yield will be at least 50% more
one of the smaller lsd plants has something funky going on with one of the first leaf sets it developed with spotting and curling of the leaves. this is the only plant doing that not sure what's causing it.
going to start feeding everyone one the next water either later today or early tomorrow once the soil dries out a bit more. Hopefully that will correct any issues and increase size. one of the jelly donuts seems to be showing some purple already so happy about that was hoping to get a few purple phenos of it from the 12 seeds of it that I have.
Gave them all their first feeding last night. 2ml silica, 2ml calmag and 3/4 tablespoon Grow Big per gallon of water to start. Will gradually increase feedings.
Still not sure why the one LSD has a kind of deformed shape to its leaves/odd curling going on with it. I removed the one lowest leaf on it that had a brownish spot on it.
Overall everything is looking great so far especially for only being on day 16. These plants are already further along then my last autos were at 1 month so I have high hopes for this harvest. I will start LST once they get a little taller. Probably will not use my scrog net on this grow, but planning to give it a try on my next grow as I will grow less plants but in more soil with a scrog, trying to get as much content as I can as I plan to create a budget home growing YouTube channel.
edit: added a photo of a bug i saw crawling on my plant today. flicked him off it then squashed em but not sure what it is, nothing I should really worry about though right?
I think that is a carpet beetle. I had to deal with them where I live now. they eat keratin rich materials like dead skin and hair or fur, like a house with old carpet and pets. as long as you donβt have a population then it probably isnβt laying eggs in your carpet.
no carpeting in the house anymore we ripped it all out a few months ago. we do have 3 little doggos though. it's the only one I've ever seen and my grow is in the basement. *shrug* I usually get an assload of spiders and haven't had any issues YET on this grow lol
then I wouldnβt worry about it. probably just wondered in from outside.
yeah there's a broken windows that's not greatly sealed up so stuff definitely makes its way inside eventually
Added a photo one of the LSD has a orange ish tip on one of the leaves for some reason that I just noticed. Not sure why that happened either but whatever... Will keep an eye on that plant and see if it spreads.
Super happy with where I'm at in this grow especially when I compare it to where I was at in this pont last time. It took like 4 or 5 weeks for them to be this big last time so definitely happy considering there's no transplanting this time around the plants should all be qp plus yield wise. One of the Apple and LSD is still kind of on the smaller side and haven't grown much the past few days but whatever. Shouldn't be a big deal, they will get bigger over time.
Shooting for at least 40 Oz total on this harvest ^.^
These are looking sweet!
ty can't wait for them to start flowering and see what kinda nugs were working with. I've grown lsd photoperiods before so curious to see how the autoflower version holds up. And heard alot of good things about the Jelly Donutz as well. I have at least 10 beans of each strain except Jelly Donutz where they put 6 instead of 5 in both packs so I was happy about that. I got some OG kush photoperiods freebies so thinking about adding a 2nd tent in the next few months for photoperiods
overwatering causes the yellow tips. Don't water for a couple days and it will be just fine.
weird never had it happen before and not doing much different the usual. I've only been watering every 3 days or so it's been taking them a while to dry out and I don't heavily water them, just enough so that there is some run off. I don't water until majority of the soil is dry again. *shrugs* it'll be aight though they still youngins
Pretty much just a daily photo update for my records so I can go back and compare grows in the future. it's nice to see how far along these are compared to where the last grow was at even 1 month. Hoping for big things.
No more yellowing besides the one spot on the one leaf. One of the LSD with the odd curly leaves and an Apple Fritter seem to be quite a bit slower in growth and I haven't seen as much out of those 2 plants the past few days like I have with the rest just taking right off. The runts usually surprise ya later on though.
Looking good, my grow , brotherβΌοΈβπΏ
edit: added 3 photos of the smaller LSD that seems to be struggling a bit. You can see some discoloration on the lower leaf formations and there's still some weird curling going on. Thinking may have overwaterred this one at some point. Overall it should bounce back and turn out fine.
Ma stronk babehs. Still haven't seen much more growth out of the one LSD and Apple Fritter but everything else is taking off nicely. Will be due for a watering later today probably, was waiting for the soil to dry out enough to where the leaves are a bit more droopy (like on the taller LSD in front center). Speaking of that one, will be starting to tie down LST some of the taller ones soon as well.
Updated the day 20 post for this.
Noticed some discoloration around the edges of the leaves on this LSD auto. is this due to overwatering maybe? I've only been watering every 3 sometimes 4 days and I don't have alot of run off I'm not doing anything differently with any of the others. the other lsd is tinier and had some leaf deformation as well wondering if these lsd auto genetics just aren't the greatest. which would be sad the lsd photos I used to grow were crazy fire.
Only other thing I can think of is it needs some nutes or the ph is off. I've only fed them once lightly. the next watering will be a feeding day.
I've also literally never had this happen before so I guess I've been lucky. I rarely run into issues with over or unserwatering but the lsd autos seem to be pretty finicky so far compared to everything else in there. only of the lsd is completely healthy imo. the other 2 I almost feel like I should have culled and started over before the 2 week mark but at this point I'm 3 weeks in and feel like I should just ride it out with the 2 or 3 plants that don't seem to be doing quite as well we've had alot of temperature swings recently as well. temps up to 80 or 90 during the day for a few days then back down to the 60s during the day. my basement usually stays fairly cool and I'm not running the hps yet
and one thing I'm noticing is that by using pure foxfarm ocean forest soil this time that it's holding onto the water alot longer then I'm used to. I usually mix the ocean forest 50/50 or 70/30 at least with something else. last time I used 50/50 ocean forest and roots organics soil and it seemed to work perfectly. feeling like I should have stuck to that formula lol but I'm in it to win it now
yeah overnight the spotting on the taller lsd got worse. and its popping up on the Jelly donuts in the large pot. I have never had this happen before so I'm not sure if it was overwatered or if they are in desperate need of a heavy feeding. I noticed using pure foxfarm ocean forest soil its taking the soil way longer then I'm used to in order to dry out.
any recommendations? like I said I've been lucky and have never had this happen in 15 years of growing somehow lol
honestly I'm leaning towards it just being a magnesium deficiency and plan on just slamming those 2 with like 8 to 10 ml of calmag on the next watering to see if it clears up. I still think they may have been overwatered based on the texture of the leaves as well. but please, anyone else's opinion is valued
It doesn't look to bad I found when I go changing every thing up I do more damage than good the plant will probably snap out of it pushing to much cal mag locks out other nutes
If I may jump in, how do you water your plants by hand? to me it looks like water left on the leaves that got light burn. from what I can see from pics it is localized to some bottom leaves. any deficiency, there is going to be other symptoms. being only on the bottom, where humidity lingers or you splashed water π¦ on them. just my thought π.
all the leaves that have it are pointing down where water drops would collect
I water by hand but directly onto the soil there shouldn't be any water getting onto the leaves and if any does i usually jiggle the leaf after watering so it rolls off or brush it with my finger to get the water off so the light intensity doesn't get magnified by the water and burn the leafs

yeah I'll probably use 5 to 7ml max of calmag in the next watering which is what I usually give my plants normally
when I stopped by local hydro shop for ph up and down I'm close with the owner who has a huge 700 plus plant farm and he said it's almost certainly calmag deficiency. plus a little overwatered. nothing that can't be fixed by letting it dry out and then feeding with calmag as normal. he said it's most likely like I thought they got bigger faster then I expected so I haven't fed them what they're looking for yet.
if itβs a mag deficiency many other leaves usually will also be affected. signs of chlorosis on leaves before burning. I could be wrong often am.
*shrugs* idk π€·ββοΈ at this point I'm just gonna carry on as usual lol and try not to water so heavily. I picked up some ph up and down and they had test strips but no meters. according to the strips my water is right around ph 7 as it is before any nutrient additions. going to order a meter tonight to check my water ph and maybe for checking runoff ppm
well fug why didnβt you say that first π€¦π»ββοΈ. research ph fluctuations and what the leaves look like.
lol i had no issues with ph on the entire last grow using the same water. however I'm using pure ocean forest atm last time was 50/50 ocean forest and roots organics.
and actually yeah it could be the ph is off now that I'm looking at some comparison photos. sigh either way I picked up some ph up and down today I just need to order a ph meter
sounds like you are on top of it. just thought I could help a bit. take care.
oh no definitely appreciate it I'm just tackling the most common issues first being ph, then calmag, plus overwatering. figure if i fix the 3 of those issues any problems I'm having should get better or at least not worst. most of these fan leaves are lower growth and will be removed once it enters flower during defol anyways
the flooding got worse and there's pretty much no dry spots on the floor at all now. the water comes up over the soles of my shoes so yeah. gonna have a hell of a time shop vaccing this with just a 5 gallon vac but gotta do what I gotta do. Just hoping this rain finally chills out long enough for it to not happen again.
I am honestly two seconds away from just losing it today. This is the 2nd time in 2 months that my basement has flooded like this. we have had non stop rain for months now where I live in NY and these past 24 hours it was coming down like crazy. Woke up this morning to this fucking shit show. I can't even drag the fucking tent to the other side of the basement where there's an area just large enough that isn't effected by the pooled water. I took everything out of the damn tent and thru them back under the light up on tables for now, then put blocks under the tent to get it up off the ground but the entire bottom of the tent is already soaked...
part of me just wants to ditch the tents in my basement and build a more open area up on tables until I can get a contractor in here to fix everything properly. I have a feeling this is going to be like a $10k+ plus fix though to stop the basement from flooding during storms like this.
heading to Walmart to pick up a squeegee to try and push the water away from certain areas and then I will shop vac as much up as I can with my stupid 5 gal shop vac. We have a sub pump in the basement but it doesn't seem to do shit unless the water is so deep that everything is already ruined
damn it. that sucks. I would try to raise the tents for the short term. I even put mine on rollers
I put the tent on some blocks i had for now gonna have to order plastic pallet type deals to put underneath it. the blocks will at least keep any more water from absorbing into the bottom of the tent liner, at least I have that second layer of the liner on top of it because the bottom of the tent is pretty much shot after the first time it flooded. I picked up a squeegee to push the water towards the sump pump and help direct it to areas where I can shop vac it all as well. Le sigh.
I found these 30x30 plastic pallets basically gonna order 4 of them next week since my tent is 60x60 https://www.homedepot.com/p/Jifram-Easy-Living-30-in-x-30-in-Storage-Pad-05000213/307565821
You could have a contractor install a sump pump at the lowest point. Then it would automatically pump the water out once the water level rises. It may be a quicker/cheaper option. Good luck with everything brotha. Lifeβs good and bad times comes in waves. Keep your head up and stay focused on whatβs important to you. Everything will get better in time.
u in upstate NY ? Iβm on the Island & we hadnβt had it to bad . sorry to hear this is happening. I had built a deck in my garage when I had my 3x3 . I just have floor tiles with tarp under my 4x4 now . u can always see if u can find pallets & use that with plywood over the pallets & hope that helps sucks when shit like that happens.
perfect π
Yeah so at this point there is no dry area left on the basement floor except a small area in the corner... going to start trying to suck this shit up today but there's gotta be over 100 gallons of water on the ground. It will definitely take me more then 20 buckets worth to dry the floor again.
Plants are still looking decent but idk still feel like there's something wonky about these lsd genetics. I really need to tie stuff down but at the moment that's not a priority.
I'm just worried I'll get it all cleaned up just for it to fucking rain like this again.
I ordered 4 30x30 plastic pallet type deals to put the tent up onto but they won't be here for at least a week or so.... gotta keep these babies going best i can until then :/
Water is definitely still at like half an inch after emptying about 100 gallons with the shop vac. sheesh. looking at ordering one of these submersible pumps with a 25 foot hose to pump everything into the slop sink in the basement if not I can route it out a window https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-3-4-HP-Aluminum-Submersible-Utility-Pump-with-Hose-Kit-DXWP61779/324729537
one of those pumps should work. Iβm sorry you are having to deal with this. I had to one summer in my old house. I would neem your plants or treat it for White powdery mildew some way because of how high the humidity is there now. I hope you get it figured out growmie
So got the ac infinity ph meter in the mail today and turns out my water that I've been using is usually around a ph of 8 so I'm surprised I didn't run into any issues with it last grow or any real issues with it on this grow besides the 2 plants that look more like calmag deficiency and the one small lsd that is just looking shitty which may be a ph problem since apparently the lsd can be finicky with ph.
These should be ready to water tomorrow and will get a full feeding that's ph adjusted to 6.5 after adding nutes to the water.
Ordering 4 30x30 pallets and a subpump with hose tomorrow so within 5 to 7 days should finally have everything I need to solve my flooding issue in the basement. I noticed some of the new growth seems to be stretched a bit since the lighting isn't quite as powerful without the tent liner reflecting light on sides and underneath, I've been rotating everything daily to help the best I can and lowered the light as much as I could as well.
Couple are showing signs of preflower. I want to tie them down but I don't have enough space on the table right now and need to wait until they're back in the tent to lst. I'm not too worried last time around I didn't start tying them down until buds were already forming and it still made a huge difference lol
Got my ac infinity ph meter yesterday and my water that I've been using was at ph of 8. After adding nutrients was around 7.8 added 1 ml of ph down and it brought it to 6.8. Will let the solution sit for a bit and retest it until it's at 6.5 ph. Did 5ml silica, 5ml calmag and 1.25 teaspoons of ff grow big then added few more drops to bring the PH to 6.6.
Waiting for the pots to fully dry out definitely think they were overwatered it seems pure ff ocean forest holds water alot more then my last soil mix. between fixing the ph issues and starting feeds hopefully no more problems creep up. 7 plants are fully healthy, 2 have discoloration on a couple leaves nothing too major prolly calmag and one lsd the tiny one is looking pretty wilted and Def has a good amount of dead leaves but just gonna keep chugging along.
ordering the sub pump with hose and plastic pallets today to put the tent up onto and finally suck up the half inch of water that's left flooding the basement. hoping to get these back inside tent in next 5 to 7 days max as they transition into flowering and switch to hps when I think the stretch is over.
just got one myself.... pen works well
Those things are nice, growing only gets easier from here!
I've been growing for 15+ years just been lucky enough to never run into ph issues until now somehow lol
Thatβs impressive!
Everything is slowly transitioning into preflower stretch. Watered with 5ml silica, 5ml calmag, 1.25 teaspoons grow big yesterday and PhD water to 6.7.
Finally making progress with the flooding got a big portion of the water sucked up and drained but still ordered a pump and pallets for the tent. Everything should be here by end of weekend or so and hopefully have everything back into the tent once it arrives.
Doing my best to keep them going until they get back into their home and next time it floods the tent will be off the ground so I shouldn't have to take them out ever again.
Haven't run into any more issues or anything getting "worse" I'm using way less water when I do give it, and am feeding every other watering for right now until things look better then I will go back to my usual water, water, feed schedule. with how long the soil takes to dry out between waterings I'm only watering once every 4 to 5 days or so sometimes it feels like longer. I feel like I've only fully watered these 4 or 5 times since starting them lol
Looks Great, Keep us posted!!
ty considering all the issues I've run into with this grow (ph being off, calmag deficiencies, overwatering due to not being used to using this soil mixture by itself) and the basement flooding and having to take it out of its ideal environment I'd say they're still holding up well. in the next 4 or 5 days max I will have everything in order to put them back into the tent, about a week after that I plan to transition to the HPS for rest of flower
I noticed that having 10 plants under this light by itself is too many, it needs the reflective material in the tent to give off proper amount of light for this many plants. all the outside edges are notably darker so I'm rotating the pots and also changing the position of each plant on a daily basis to try and give even coverage. I put it as close to them as possible as well but like in the first photo you can see the new growth is still kind of stretchy but that could also be due to my ph/nute issues still correcting or the overwatering lol
Hoping I can finish getting the water up today or at least get the area where I set the tent dry. This way I can get everything back into the tent and start tying these tall bishes down. It's pretty crazy when I go back and compare day 27 in this grow to day 27 in the last grow. These plants are 2 to 3x the size of where they were at last time. Some might even be 4x the size lol
there's the one small derpy lsd that has been struggling since the start, seems since giving everything properly phd water and feedings they've been doing great especially considering they've been out of their ideal environment for like 5 days now already. Added a couple photos from the same time frame of the last grow so you can see the difference that planting directly into your final pots makes with autos. First grow was started in solo cups and transplanted after like 3 or 4 weeks which stalled them a bit and maybe made them flower a bit early not sure.
You're doing awesome π! Your plants be loving it.
ty some of the new growth on top of them looks a little stretched and lanky but other then that they've been holding up pretty damn well. temps have been all over the place too we've had some 100 degree days then right back to 50 lol
π I think a lot if us are fighting high heat and crazy humidity. I had to buy another dehumidifier to keep up. Lots of storms bring lots of moisture.
But your plants are praying, so they're happy.
yeah we've had non stop rain since winter ended here in Norwich NY. basement has flooded twice this spring so ordered a new pump and pallets. tempts have been all over the place. I'm also buying a 2nd dehumidifier gonna put the other one inside the tent during flower
Not much to update still just maintaining best I can until I get them back into the tents. should have the pump and pallets by Monday so hoping Monday evening i can get the tent back up and going and start transitioning into flowering.
As soon as I have the space inside the tent I can tie all of these down they're quite tall yet bushy so hoping it's a good sign that this will be a great harvest. shooting for 2 to 3 lbs ^.^
New sub pump came and tomorrow pallets should be here, so gonna be cleaning the rest of the water up tomorrow and get everything back into the tent. I think everything held up well especially considering they haven't been in their ideal environment for just over a week. it'll be like 8 or 9 days they had to go like this.
everything is getting tight and crowded on the tables anyways lol need to space them out and start tying them down because as you can see half of them are actually getting pretty damn tall. I'd think they were stretching a bit if it wasn't for the fact that the rest are still short and squat.
puuurplleee
yeah it looks like at least 2 of the Jelly donuts are going to have some purp in them. all the new growth coming out of them looks like that
I love that bro where do you get youre autos?
seedsman.com is where I usually order from. I've also ordered from. Strng Seeds when I was broke and needed to order cheaper seeds
Excited to see everything coming together again! My next grow I am definitely gonna grow some with color.
ty it's been a nerve racking week that's for sure lol and I definitely should have started feeding them sooner then later, these got way larger then I expected this fast
Should finally be able to get everything back into the tent later today when the pallets get delivered and hopefully start getting some of these minor issues fixed. You can see some deformed leaves where they were lacking light, the table got very full and crowded quick so some parts of the plants weren't exposed to quite enough light. they need to be spread out more and tied down so hopefully everything will start looking better over the next week or two. Either way still with happy with where I am at on this grow considering the setback I had lol
that's all the bigger of a pot u use ? I put mine in 5 to 8 gallons after germantion I just filled a whole kitty liter bucket granted I bought fabric after that there cheap enough.im just speaking up cause I wish I would get some help once and a while.if those are photos you'll definitely be full before u flower .doesn't pay to change as u go there's been study's done and they say don't change your pots often u can shock them doing that .I might of lost 2 plants I don't want to c someone else make the same mistake
I start them in their final pots they're autoflowers. they're in about 3 gallons of soil except one that's the full 5 as a test to see if it will even matter. most people use 3 or 5 gals for autos tho. soooome I've seen 7 but it's not as common. so far I'm not noticing much of a difference in it, but still got a long time ago. my basement also flooded normally these would be in the tent so they haven't even been in an ideal environment for about a week now. hoping later today the pallet i ordered comes so I can get everything back into the tent
I used same size pots in my last autos grow on here and had some plants yield 5.5 to 6 Oz. majority were 3 to 4 Oz though. I started that grow in solo cups and transplanted and they were like half this size or smaller last time so I'm expecting a minimum of 4 Oz per plant average this time based on how much larger and bushier these are compared to last time. also started running into some ph or calmag issues that I've been addressing over the last week
I'm sure it doesn't matter as much because it's fabric I was talking reg pots .I don't think u run into bud being root bound that's what I was trying to ask a buddy of mine yesterday and he wouldn't answer me I asked him if fabric pots are root bound proof cause if I fill up a plastic pot for say I would end up with yellow leaves and it won't grow .it sucked I filled up a whole cat liter bucket that I put holes in it and that was just cheap pot mix with my mulch pile dirt
also I wonder if I'm doing something wrong to grow to big of roots .I use plant magic it's a kelp fertilizer organic with humic acids .I'm switching to tps one I luv there products probably my worm tea to is probably good at first and that's it
oh got ya sorry misunderstood yeah they're just easier to reuse imo and I can use them as smaller or large pots as well
itβs understandable , once u get those pallets u be good . everything off the floor is nice especially when it gets cold & peace of mind when it rains . good luck brother π
I'm pissed the pallets didn't get delivered today like they were supposed to and the status just says delayed. it traveled from WI all the way to NY in one day and its been sitting an hour away from me since the 28th lmao gimme my effing pallets home depot! this grow has been stressful between the ph/calmag issues, overwatering/soil holding water way too long and then flooding issues all in a 2 week span lol
I hear ya problems always pile on top of one another. going thru it in different situations. hope it works out . keep me posted I want to see how u make out
every time it rains now I keep my fingers crossed that it won't flood again. took me 8 days to get all the water cleaned up lol I just got a new sub pump in but hoping I don't need to use it again this year
anyway to water proof the walls . I know it big job to dig up the foundation outside
idk theres gotta be something we can do were going to call a contractor once we have the money but I know it's not going to be cheap probably a 5k to 10k fix overall
does that area flood like that or was that one of them 100 year rain . seems to be happening a lot lately. letβs hope that everything will work out for you ππ
doesn't seem to happen often only when we have heavy down pours that last for hours. this year has been extra rainy for some reason, more then usual for sure. 5 days a week at least since winter ended here it's been raining, or the sky is at least completely gray. temps have been fluctuating like crazy 50 degrees one day to 100 the next then 70 and so on lol
down on the island it been a rainy start to summer & was very cool spring. I only grow outside in summer. I have my tent in garage & not running ac . if it was still $6,000 a pound I would run an ac . Iβll start tent up end of September. hope u get the pallets. that what i had for my other tent & i used plywood on top of it . worked great π
update: pallets arrived and got everything set back up and into the tent and now I'm realizing just how monstrous these things are getting, I need to remember to only do 9 plants next time it's gonna get really crowded with 10 plants in here lmfao gonna have to give them as much LST as I can and defoliate well. I'll also have to add at least one more fan inside the tent I'm thinking, possibly 2 more so I have air flow below the canopy, on the canopy, and going across the HPS to keep temps down. but I'll try to get away with just one more lol
started lst and tying down main stem. after the initial bend towards the rim of the pot I coil it around the outside and it creates a spiral with the stem giving me great light and air penetration. Definitely have to tie these down as some of them are 2 feet tall already going into preflower.
pallets will definitely be delivered today, finally got the text that it's on the truck coming to me today lol
so I started tying these tall beasts down in preparation for returning everything to the tent later tonight
I'm glad I have people I can trust to leave watering too.nice busy beautiful plants tho
thank you. I just moved out here 8 months ago and don't really know anyone here i would trust enough to do that lol 2 or 3 days is no big deal takes them that long to dry out anyways and at this point they're pretty stable anyways
I probably over water mine but I also use a gauge it's a 7 n 1 for soil it checks soil pH fertility water light intensity red green blue it measures and temp and humidity saved my ass a cpl times I always gauge before I fertilize
yeah i don't really check my nute runoff numbers I've never even bothered PHing water until this grow lol somehow I got lucky last time to not have lockout or ph problems my water is 8 to 9 ph normally apparently lol
Edited to show the 2 plants with yellow leaf tips on new growth. Is this a sign of nute burn, possibly too much N on these two plants? The leaves do seem to be a darker green then the other 8 plants so I'm thinking this is the case and that I should cut back on the Nitrogen when feeding those 2 in particular?
Got everything back into the tent last night after the pallets arrived to put the tent up onto. Did some more training today and tied them down a but tighter as they rebounded quickly and tried standing right back up. Still running into a calmag issue with one of the plants but tomorrow morning I'll be giving everything a healthy feeding and water before I have to leave for 2 or 3 days. Thinking about switching the light to the HPS either before or after I return, you can see some buds starting to form so I'm thinking it's time to pull the fluorescent fixture out of the tent and put the HPS back in and start it at 600 watts for a week then go up to 750 for a week then 1000watts and see how they take it. Last grow I probably shouldn't have gone over 750w with 9 plants as I ended up with a lot of light burnt bud tips by the end with plants that took longer to finish. So just gonna monitor everything and adjust accordingly as I transition into flowering.
Next grow I'll be using the same 4 strains again as I have 10 beans of each strain so everything should be dialed in, next time I'll know to start giving calmag and feedings earlier and definitely keep PH in check the whole time.
I'm a little worried about space running 10 plants this time as I did not expect them to get this effing big prior to flower and if my last grow is any indication, they are going to double/triple in size during flower >.< i guess it's a good problem to have though, so trying to get the canopy as even as I can and basically do a sea of green. Hoping to see this tent fill up with colas in the next 2 or 3 weeks. Speaking of that I plan on starting the next batch around day 60 or 70 of this grow, I'm trying to time it so they should have 21 to 28 days of growth by the time this batch is harvested so they should be juuuust getting to this point when these finish and then keep a good perpetual cycle going from here on out where I should be pulling a harvest every 8 weeks at most as they finish flowering.
could be a finicky pheno
to me bud, it looks like a potassium issue. like toxicity, are you adding kelp to your mix?
no not feeding any different then the rest. silica, calmag and grow big
with nitrogen toxicity you see more clawing downward and shiny leaves is why I lean towards potassium. research and see if itβs similar to yours
idk the pics I found all seem to be the later stages it's def possible I've heard people say that Ocean Forest soil by itself can be hot for some autos. I just leaned towards too much N because those plants leaves are way darker then the rest of the batch even same strains.
I'm tapering back on the veg nutes now anyways and transitioning to bloom nutes so we will see what happens. it doesn't seem to be getting worse
possibly both could be true π might be just spicy πΆοΈ soil I fully believe you will figure it out. just lending a hand . π€πΌ
Ended up switching to the HPS this morning as they're all starting to form actual bud. Set it to 600 watts to acclimate them and 18/6 timer
The tall LSD phenotype in the corner is throwing out some nice preflowers. everyone else is starting to pop nugs now too. giving a good feed and water today and then leaving town for a few days later today. Will return Sunday evening but with how this soil holds water 48 to 72 hours without my attention should not be a big deal.
I'm not sure if I should change to the hps today before I leave or wait until I get back in case theres any adjustments I need to make to the environment? opinions on that?
Grabbed couple pics from late last night before leaving. Gave 7 ml silica and 7 ml calmag with no other nutes, pretty sure i have some nute burn going on so didn't want to add in any extra N as the calmag i have is 2-0-0 anyways.
Gave them all a good watering before leaving so they should be good for the 72 hours or so ill be gone. I mean really it will take at least 48 hours to even dry out si worst case they're only going 1 day without actual water
Had to leave the plants unattended for over 72 hours and when I came back they were thirstier then expected. Hoping I don't end up losing any. if I do it will only be 2 or 3 plants max that are lost, but I have a feeling majority will bounce back just fine.
Gave them water and flower jutes phd to 6.5 and normally I wouldn't water before lights out but they were clearly desperate. once they recover a bit i will defol them.
One if them is still showing some more calmag issues or something else going on idk ill get better photos of them outside the tent after they uptake all this water tomorrow.
any suggestions on what I can do to nurse them back to health lmk it's appreciated considering I've never had to leave a grow unattended like this. 6 or 7 of them are definitely in good condition still you can just tell they were really thirsty. the main top on my tallest LSD kinda flopped over onto itself so will see how it looks after it uptakes water, might have to stake it and tie it to keep it from toppling again
nah , just water them ladies lol . they will pop back like nothing happened praying like it's church time
yeah they actually bounced right back overnight surprisingly lmao I've never left plants unattended for that long and they were looking awfully rough when I got back. one of them had alot of dead leaves that I took off right away last night, and I'm going to do a defol later today I'm thinking
Sheesh these guys bounced back fast af overnight. I def need to defol today but other then that we are looking really effing good. Watered them at like 11 pm last night and its 8 am now so if you compare yesterday to this morning you'll see how well they bounced back
u got the pallets & everything is ok ? looks good π
yeah i ordered 4 30x30 pallets which fit my 60x60 tent perfectly. Hopefully won't run into that problem again even if it floods it would have to to over 3 inches to matter. main issue is had is i had to go out of town for 3 days and had no one to tend them so they were ultra dry when I got home last night. that tall LSD completely collapsed onto itself the main top was too heavy already lol they all bounced right back within 12 hours of being watered. gave them a good defol today and another small watering bc they soaked up everything i gave them last night
that good idea . I was using that as a base for the 3x3 in garage. I was able to stuff insulation between the pallets
yeah i just used the twine i use for tying my plants down and tied all 4 together so they don't shift. keeps it a few inches off the ground will also help with keeping them off the cold basement floor during the winter makes the tent alot easier to move if I have to as well
they were more expensive then you'd think I tried getting wood pallets free locally but no one was giving them out apparently everyone else's basement flooded as well and they were already asking for em. they were like 60 or 65 bucks each from Home Depot shipped ended up being like 270 after taxes
usually these places canβt get rid of em . like u said the flood probably had a lot to do with availability everyone wants there possessions off the ground . i got mine from my brother in law he owns HVAC company
yeah that's pretty much what happened i also ended up spending 70 or 80 bucks on a new sub pump with a hose attachment so if it floods again cleanup should be much easier. Haven't even been able to test the pump tho I ended up sucking it all up.with a 5 gal shop vac took me a little over a week to get it all cleaned up and I didnt want to put them back into the tent until the pallets got here. considering I've had ph issues, nite burn, overwatering and now underwatering they're doing great lol
they resilient plants . take a beating & keep on ticking. hope u do t need to use the new pump . better safe then sorry . look what happening to Texas . crazy . good luck π

Woke up this morning and realized I forgot to flio the switch on the side of my light timer (I have a power strip that has one side always on and a side you can enable to be always on or operate by timer and I always forget about the stupid switch on the side). so turns out I've been running them 24 hours under the hps and now I know why they dried out so fast when I was away. problem should be fixed now lol
Went through and gave them another defol the center of alot of them was getting really crowded with almost no air or light penetration. These are all really tight bushes so ill probably be doing alot of defol maintenance to keep from getting too crowded. also watered with 5ml Silica and 5ml Calmag PHd to 6.5
Everything is flowering beautifully. There's 1 Jelly in think and the 1 super bushy LSD in the corner that are still in preflower or just entering flower and haven't really started putting out buds yet, but other then that pretty much everything is in full swing now and looking healthy :)
they look happy. looking forward to seeing future results
ty they're coming along beautifully and looks like i should end up with some decent sized main colas based on the flowering formations so far. looking forward to seeing how they look in 2 or 3 more weeks when they are really showing what they're made of
how u like growing that LSD ? great strain . u donβt see to many people growing that anymore. I grew a lot of that in the late 80βs when Barneyβs released it . Really hardy plant
I used to grow the photoperiod version of it back around 2010 or so. Was some of the best smoke I've ever grown there was no ceiling to the high from it, but was a very psychedelic high felt like someone was tickling the front of my brain with a feather lol hoping this auto version is just as good I have 10 beans each of LSD, jelly donuts and jack herer. running 3 lsd 3 jelly 2 jack and 2 apple fritter in the tent rn
I never grew the auto version . I donβt grow much autos . every once in awhile I toss in a couple. Iβm sure it wonβt be much different. Autos have come along way
this is only my 2nd round trying autos, plus the grow before this one on here as well was my first time with autos. I was pleased with the first grow and need to build up my headstash lol my wife and I smoke at least a QP a month. once I run out of these auto seeds ill probably switch back to photos for a while
autos are good now . I do have a few growing around the outside. I had forgotten about 2 of em & looked bout 5 weeks later & looks good & I never touched it . sometimes that better off when u leave it alone to grow . what breeder u using for autos . I done a few test grows for Mephisto back when they were starting out . them & 420 fast buds both excellent. good luck . everything in basement doing ok ?
Sheesh these are getting bigger and bigger lol gonna have to tie them down dimensional more and defol as needed. I did give them a haircut yesterday and it looks like a couple of them have grown a few more inches the past few days.
Still have 2 plants lagging a bit behind, you can tell they are starting to flower just not quite there yet so im not too concerned they will just take a little longer to finish maybe.
Ordered a small cheap dehumidifier for inside the tent because I can't seem to get it lower then 60% RH. Had to find a smaller one that will hopefully get the job down if I can get it to 50 or 40% ill be happy. plus then I can use it for when I dry em and just do everything in the tent itself when it's harvest time
idk the super bushy large azz LSD seems to be stuck in preflower im starting to wonder if it's a photoperiod lmao it keeps looking like it's gonna start flowering then grows a new node and idk wtf it's doing now. we're pushing day 50 and everything else has actual buds almost already lol I guess I can just try keeping it alive and see what happens by the end of the rest if it's still somehow in this stage ill flip to 12/12 maybe then lmao idk what else to do about it
Did a little more tying down on the furthest along LSD to open up the center of the plant and some of the stalks were really tight together which would cause issues later in flower if left that way.
Looks like the super bushy LSD and the kinda derpy LSD are finally flowering as well. other then that business as usual for now
Wasn't sure if the large azz LSD was flowering or now yet it seemed to be stuck in limbo preflower lol but it looks like it's finally starting to push out buds. pretty sure it's just a really sativa leaning pheno of it.
cranked the light up to the full 1000watts today as well so will keep an eye on them. I will end up turning it back down to 750 eventually last grow the full 1k watts ended up being too much and burnt some of my bud tips.
been finding 1 or 2 earwigs a day in the tent and that explains the few leaves I've found that were all chewed up. I've never run into a problem with them before but just think after the flooding I had they all were looking for shelter in the tent maybe. I've heard that using a mixture of dawn dish soap and water and spraying the leaves at night when the lights turn off is a good way to get rid of them as neem oil doesn't seem to do squat against them according to the internet. any suggestions would be helpful thanks
Everyday I look at the super bushy LSD i hope it will be the day it puts out flowers lol I mean based in what I see today it looks to finally be ready to produce buds but idk. if I don't see any substantial flowers on it by day 55 to 60 im going to kill that plant off as I don't have another light or space to 12/12 it by itself.
everything else looks good. one guy in front is looking a bit droopy but the lights just came on so they're waking up still lol
Bought a cheap small dehumidifier from Amazon that had "good" reviews and thing turns out to be fucking garbage. Its been on since 5 PM yesterday and hasn't lowered the humidity level at all when I checked the water bin on it there was a small amount of water but the damn thing should have been almost full. now I gotta send it back wait foe a refund and order another fucking one that better work. Dehumidifiers always seem to be shit luck for me.
unfortunately u will need to get a bigger dehumidifier. how bad is humidity? look at the square footage . they can be expensive & put off some heat . hope u able to get it under control π€π». this hobby can get pricey
been a really humid summer . usually is where we at , but it worse this season.why I only growing outside
humidity goes up to like 70 to 75% when the lights off and like 50% when it's on. so I definitely need one in there but I've had awful luck the last one I bought wouldn't drain thru the house and filled up every 4 to 6 hours and needed to be dumped, then randomly the bucket wouldn't fill and it leaked everywhere underneath so I threw it in the slop sink in the basement where it continously runs now and just leaks out the bottom and down the drain lmao so it kind solved the draining issue by breaking after a month. but then I get this one and it isn't doing shit
im thinking about trying the AC infinity dehumidifier and just spending the money for a product that hopefully works lol anyone have any feedback/used it? https://acinfinity.com/hydroponics-growers/hydrone-5-plant-dehumidifier-with-10-level-controls-works-in-all-environments-high-precision-pwm-motor-silent-operation-versatile-dual-duct-ports-up-to-5x5-grow-tents/?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22761304305&gbraid=0AAAAADvmg8hPYZ8kXOYkHso2sVLsf3RCF&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8u2_-5zGjgMV_k7_AR3H4jMwEAQYASABEgJpWvD_BwE was thinking of getting the ducting with it and doing an open setup instead of having it right inside the tent... but my wife is getting tired of me spending money lmao
I had same issues with the smaller vivosun dehumidifier. Iβm sorry to hear that , I know what u been going through this summer. did that dehumidifier create a lot of heat . like I said I canβt grow in my tent in summer. I would need a bigger dehumidifier & it been so humid outside been high 70βs . better out there today . some relief.
didn't notice it adding much heat so far but like I said it's a small dehumidifier that doesn't seem to be doing shit lol and I heard that about the small vivosun ones so I tried googling reviews on dehumidifier for grow tents and these NineSky ones had decent reviews and was only like 64 bucks but I guess you get what you pay for
I hear u with the spending ,can cause some issues. u see vivosun has an ac like the ac infinity ac/ heater combo , expensive. why I canβt grow in summer indoors, cost so much. donβt want to piss wife off ,
didn't notice it adding much heat so far but like I said it's a small dehumidifier that doesn't seem to be doing shit lol and I heard that about the small vivosun ones so I tried googling reviews on dehumidifier for grow tents and these NineSky ones had decent reviews and was only like 64 bucks but I guess you get what you pay for. we've had a ton of rain this year so the basement has been pretty humid I have that one running in the sink continously and it keeps it around 60% in the basement when you consider that it's legit 90% or higher without it that one is doing it's job lo ive had my basement flood twice already this spring/summer from alm the rain had to spend 300 bucks on plastic pallets and a pump
what about checking out Walmart or target . they have some big dehumidifierβs . u have space for it in tent .
get the spider farmer dehumidifier.. is around $200
bro I feel like I should of just went with ac infinity for all my stuff to be honest I mean VIVOSUN is cool just seems like ac infinity products are better simply in my opinion
sheesh my wife will headbutt me if I try to spend that much on it lmao the ac infinity one I was looking at for a 5x5 is like 130
spider
I made a bucket style swamp cooler with 4" vent on top connected to the intake of my tent. it pulls 60% without assistance from the humidifier. but youre lookin to lower. in my case, ill take the vent off bucket, and put it on the ac vent. 30% ish goin in
go on facebook marketplace. you can find lots of ac infinity tent for more cheaperβ¦and dehumidifier
Thatβs what Iβm talking about improvising whatever it takes keep on growing
yeah I looked there isn't really any available in my area on there
damn. I got a lot of ac infinity equipments being sold in my areaβ¦ In NYC Is the thing to doβ¦ everyone got a grow inside their apartment in nyc in 2025β¦ say less!!! I havenβt been this happy in a long timeβ¦I love growing this plantβ¦ We inside! is my slogan
im not too far from NYC. im originally from syracuse ny but moved to Norwich NY last year
Word, Word
I've been having the same problem. I finally opened the door, to the room my tent is in. Cranked up the AC in the bed room, and set up box fans to move cool air in there. That along with the exhaust fan, and I'm looking at about 45%. previously I couldn't get below 65%. Hopefully you can get humidity down. I'm just gonna let this grow do its thing. I won't be planting again in the summer
Small space dehumidifiers usually suck imo. I use a bigger dehumidifier to keep the humidity in the outside environment nice and let my exhaust pull out high humidity from the tent to replace with the lower humidity of the room. Also get more bang for the buck when you buy a general dehumidifier vs one branded for "grow tents"
I got it as low as 49 percent for a little bit today but like I said at night it goes right back up lol
I have a general basement dehumidifier that brings the basement from 90ish to low 60s at least lol most of the dehumidifiers i found at lowes or Walmart here are like 150 to 200 so the ac infinity branded one is still cheaper at 130 right now
Ah yikes that's alot of humidity. Depending on your exhaust speeds you might be drawing in those high 60s RH into your tent making it hard for the dehumidifier in the tent to keep up.
Iβm using the spider farmer ggs controller with the 6 inch exhaust fan set to humidity priority. I got my dehumidifier at Loweβs for $205 for 2000 sq ft. it works great together!! the controller and exhaust fan kit is $191 right now on sale.
I've been questioning every day for a week now whether this one is actually starting to flower or stuck in preflower lol it LOOKS like it's trying to form buds now that's what the first couple photos are from. It has until day 60 to prove to me that it's flowering or im removing it lol
Everything else is doing well, I noticed another 2 or 3 plants seemed to be struggling due to high temps so I lowered the lights from 1000 back go 750w then back to 600w. temps were hitting 85ish at 1000 and 82ish af 750, seems to be at a cool 78 with 600w rn.
what i will do is at least kind of mimic the midday higher sun and turn it back to 750w from like 10 or 11 am to 5 or 6 pm then back down to 600w. I think the full 1000w is still a bit too much light anyways and they seemed to plump up just fine under 750w/600w.
I also need to order the new dehumidifier and return this shit one then add at least 1 more oscillating fan to inside the tent
I personally had 1 plant on my last run that was doing the same thing you just explained. She did eventually go into flower and finish but it seemed like she was in pre flower for about 3-4 weeks. Itβs the only plant Iβve ever had to do that.
right it's odd lol it keeps looking like it's trying so I don't wanna give up on it especially because so far only 1 of the 3 of this strain is doing "good" the other one looks really heat stressed and isn't producing flowers quite like it should either. but at the same time I don't wanna waste space and nutrients on crap plants and im gonna be starting the next batch in the next few weeks anyways
think that one is finally flowering we will see how it turns out lol the last 2 photos are from it and certainly looks to be flowering now.
have 1 or 2 other plants that seem a little stressed and possibly stunted otherwise the other 7 are doing great and chunking up slowly
looking good π
hell yeah not to bad
Edit: I wanna say it's definitely flowering now. you can see some flower forming below the actual top nodes going down the stemlines. it's just a really slow bloomer I guess lol
Considering throwing the bushy not fully flowering one outdoors and seeing what happens bc it keeps looking like its starting to flower but its not really doing much else still. it's honestly a bit too crowded and the new dehumidifier I ordered should be here by Wednesday. have to send this crap one back to Amazon later today and get that refund. dropped like 200 on a 4000 sq ft dehumidifier so if that fucker don't get the job done idk what will.
This fucker has been confusing me the entire grow. I want to say it's flowering but im gonna give it like another week to prove it's keep maybe. another lsd and 1 jelly donutz seem stunted maybe they started flowering but now arent advancing...
im finding autos in general are just not all that stable and even out of the same 5 or 10 seed pack you get way too much variety and some that just struggle and look retarded and that's no matter what breeder I use. at this point I've tried at least 5 different major auto breeders. I might give night owl and Mephisto autos a try eventually but honestly think im gonna just do 1 more run of autos with the seeds I have next and then go back to doing photoperiods from clone for a while.
Mephisto and night owl are the only brands I have heard are good. Iβve done I95, ethos, NASC, and atlas and they were all shit. the biggest misconception for new growers is that autos are easier to grow and itβs a lie. I wonβt waste valuable tent space on autos. I might try Mephisto for an outdoor spring crop next year but thatβs it. Iβm like you, Iβll just stick with my photoperiods and clones
yeah autos are good if you need to build up a headstash quick which is why I went with them to start back at it. Haven't grown in years and needed that head stash fast lol ill probably do 1 more auto grow consecutive with this i plan on starting the next batch around day 70ish so they should be ready for flower as these all finish. I figure if I wait til day 75 that will give any late finishers a bit more time
So the one LSD that started flowering just isn't producing any kind of bud. it started flowering then got stunted somehow. the other big bushy LSD that I've been questioning is definitely starting to flower but idk. im going to put the one that isn't showing any growth outside and if the larger one doesn't look much better in a week or two tops its also going outside. if they live they live if they die they die. but the tent is getting crowded and I'd rather utilize the space better with the healthy plants.
definitely read that as Ivan Drago from Rocky 4. "if he dies, he dies" π€£π€£ definitely showing my age with that reference....
updated with photos from today after they all got a haircut lol one of the jelly has multiple polyploid heads. the jellys are starting to thicken up and throwing out tons of trichs already. the smell when I pick a leaf off is crazy, one of the best smelling autos I've had so far for sure. the really good LSD is looking frosty n stank too.
That one LSD is definitely flowering now, whether it will produce good bud or not is yet to be seen but its definitely in full flower now. hoping it looks like the GOOD LSD lol
I have 2 or 3 other plants of varying strains that started flowering but don't seem to be pumping up much. im starting to think the temps might be a little too high causing them to be stunted a bit? idk
I feel like all of these "name brand genetics" i have arent doing as good as the autos i bought from strng seeds last grow. majority of my plants had huge colas and pumped up but some of these just don't seem to wanna fill out. Hopefully that will change i mean really were only halfway there or so anyways and some of these are supposed to be sativa dominant.
are these autos or photos?
all autoflower. even the 1 lsd that's been taking forever is finally flowering hope it produces some actual decent nugs bc i already tossed 1 of the lsd outside for not performing well. problem with autoflowers is the genetics arent consistent. I noticed that everytime I start 10 autos no matter who the breeder or strain, 6 or 7 are fire while the rest are trash that don't produce proper buds or are just a pain in the ass. im surprised these ones are doing as well considering they've been thru ph problems, under/overwatering, flooding so being taken out the tent, and now high temps and humidity lol new dehumidifier coming today its a 4000 sq ft so better do the job
Adding the 4000 sq ft dehumidifier to the basement today around 5 pm. Had to leave it upright for 24 hours prior to plugging in due to shipping. This thing is an absolute beast holds 1.56 gallons. Using 1 smaller 2000 sq ft dehumidifier right now bring my basement from 90ish humidity down to 65% hoping by adding this 4k sq ft right outside the tent will lower the area to 40% or less and ill be golden and happy. I've been running them light at 600 watts for first 2 hours and last 2 hours of the day, 750 watts for 2 hours and 2 hours prior to the 600w, then full 1000watts for the other 10 hours. I feel this helps regulate the temp better and will hopefully help prevent leaf and bud tips from getting burnt on the plants that have to go longer like last time. Temp is usually 80 to 82 degrees when fully on, humidity 50%ish in the tent. but it goes up as the light turns down, usually up to 60% then 70%s during the night so really hoping this 2nd dehumidifier down there will do the job and bring it to 40ish or lower consistently.
The Jellys are supposed to be a 70 day finisher and I can definitely see it being possible especially on the one in the 5 gal in middle. But it will probably be more like 80 to 90 all the hairs are still white on that bad girl.
But everything is looking good and the one bushy LSD I wasn't sure of is at least trying to put out bud so ill just keep it going and hope for some nice nuggers considering so far only 1 of them is doing well.
There's 1 Jelly and 1 Jack and 1 Apple Fritter that started budding but are still pretty wispy and not chunking up yet but we still got 40 days or so to go so im not gonna get too discouraged about those ones yet.
looking good . how everything working out for u now that the flooding is over π€π»π
they look beautiful
First 2 photos are the bushy LSD that didn't start flowering until day 50+ its coming along nicely I think it will chunk up for only being 3 or 4 days of flowering its doing good imo
Setup and ran the new dehumidifier and its working great. was able to get humidity down to 45% in the tent hoping it will go a little lower but if not im happy with that. considering that basement sits at like 95% humidity without any running lol
I decided to kill off the one i put outside I don't get enough sunlight in my backyard and I don't feel like wasting nutrients on a plant that's not growing. its been 2 or 3 weeks of it staying exactly the same point so I gave up on it.
The bushy LSD is putting out flowers so just hoping they thicken up eventually because that is a huge plant with alot of bud sites. if it thickens up like I hope it will be a good yielder.
everything else is looking great for being a lil more then halfway there.
looking great π
how u making out with the LSD ?
photo 1: apple fritter pheno 1
photo 2: jack herer pheno 2
photo 3: LSD pheno 1
photo 4: jelly donutz pheno 2
photo 5: jelly donutz pheno 1
photo 6: jelly donutz pheno 3
edit to fix labeling got my plants confuzzled lol
thought I was gonna end up with a purple pheno or two but doesnt look like it yet. they may turn later on but hoping next round some of the jellys especially will be the purple phenos
added some photos of each individual strain
edit: actually hit the magical 35% humidity inside the tent today so im very happy with this new dehumidifier. check out the 4000 sq ft Amazon basics dehumidifier if you need humidity control. I have it sitting outside my tent and it lowers the surrounding area and got the inside down to 35 today and I wasn't even running at 1000watts which lowers it even more. had it at 750w today and temps were at 83 degrees. veen a very hot and humid weekend here in NY so im happy that I was able to get humidity under control finally.
woohoo humidity is consistently down in the 40s now, usually right at 45%. glad I added that giant azz dehumidifier it costed 200 bucks but definitely got the job done finally
edit: cannabis leaf septoria is what i think this is but not 100% sure lol had to browse Google again to find it and seems most likely culprit. so looking for 2nd opinions
first Pic is worse then it actually is lol these leaves were already removed yesterday or day before and I kept them in a baggy so I can show my buddy and ask his opinion on what's causing it and how to fix it. so these are actually darker and worse looking then when first removed now
Looks like its happening to both jack herers. one worse then the other. its like a yellowish color to leaves and brown/black spots. I think i had actually found what it was on Google last night but cant find it again lol it was some kind of almost fungus thing that mainly only effects the leaves and not the buds so I removed all the effected leaves as it said to. I've also lowered the humidity drastically but basically theres nothing else i can do to fix it, it seems?
unless this is a nurient over/under feeding problem. opinions?
I think itβs a potassium deficiency.
yeah its possible. so try adding more K next feed im guessing? which for me would be higher amount of Foxfarm Tiger bloom which is 2-8-4 and has highest K value out of my nutrients. These plants are much bigger then my last autos and may need to be fed every other day instead of water, water, feed and maybe even in higher amounts due to their size and rapid growth.
looks like a calcium and magnesium deficiency
shrugs idk could be like 3 different things at this point lol i already feed em with 5 ml of calmag. tomorrow is silica and calmag feeding for me so ill up the calmag to 7ml maybe
How are the tips and colors on the rest of your leaves?
Hey buddy, research phosphorus deficiency and see if that is what your leaves look like.
fine tbh just a few that are like this
nah don't think so. leaning along potassium deficiency, calmag or something else like what I posted. tomorrow I feed them again so we will see if it corrects or gets worse
what are you growing in? just coco coir? or are you using happy frog/ocean forest?
soil, just ocean forest this time. usually I mix it 50/50 with something like roots organics soil
some of it looks like calmag deficiency some of it looks like potassium deficiency so idk. when I watered today I use 2ml more then usual of calmag, and also gave a little bit of Grow Big because it has the most K value of all my nutrients. guess we will see what happens lol one plant I think is just yellowing due to nitrogen deficiency the top dressing of soil I add tomorrow morning should help
how often do you have to water? how much do you let them dry out?
water every 36 to 48 hours and I let them get fairly dry but not bone dry
I was looking at the fox farms feeding schedule. I would feed every other watering. just regular strength and add calmag when you feed. there is no need to flush during flowering since you are using ocean forest. I think that will fix your problems.
these aren't photoperiods tho they're autos. I usually do a water, water w silica calmag, water with nutes at 1/2 to 3/4 strength. but these autos blew up and budded fast so they might just be way hungrier then my last autos. I was thinking of going to every other watering and doing water with silica and calmag, then water with nutes and just alternate like that. I noticed this seems to be happening/getting worse after the plain water days which might be flushing some of the nutes out. but i don't water heavily/ton of run off so idk
it happened fast after the last plain watering on both jack herers, the overall yellowing especially. only one of the jacks (funnily enough the one with less plump buds so far) is the one with spotting and the other is just severe yellowing that came on fast the past 3 days. everything was healthy and green before that
these are probably stronger or more vigoirous genetics. i always added silica first, then cal mag, then micros, and everything else after in whatever order and watered with everything at once. you can do 3/4 strength if you want but i would do full strength. when you do regular watering every other water use recharge instead.
ill be top dressing them all with a bit more soil tomorrow morning so hoping that will help as well. I found adding another inch or so of soil on top of them the last time I did autos during the last month of flower helped
yeah ill give it a try with full strength and feeding every other day. what recharge product do you recommend? i think my local shop has the foxfarm equivalent not sure if its the sledgehammer or come back formula from them that I should use
when I grew Jack Herer recently it had deficiencies. it was always a really hungry strain. I was using mixed soil and should have increased the nutes by 50% probably.
got ya they're probably just hungrier then what im used to then ill up the nutes and do it every other day ill just add silica, calmag then add the tiger bloom and big bloom at full strength. also top dressing with another inch or so of ocean forest tomorrow morning so hoping that and the heavier feeding will help
that should help. it good to catch early in flower and make the corrections
definitely this is only day 59 so they all should have about 30 days to go. the Jelly donutz might be done before the rest but I think a few are gonna be 100 days or more even. that big bushy LSD didn't even start flowering until day 50 lol
lol the joys of growing autoflowers. itβs about the same as a photo at that point
lol right i wouldn't even let a photo go in veg that long. like I said when I run put of these beans after another 1 or 2 runs im going back to photo clones that I can get locally
I wish I could get clones locally. I would probably have to drive 3.5 hours to the closest place lol
that's rough im lucky the guy who owns my local grow shop has a pretty big operation and sells clones. said he has some original cuts of MAC 1 that I wanna try
Fed with 5ml silica, 7ml calmag and 1 tsp of grow big to hopefully fix yellowing and a couple other issues.
The bag of Oceans Forest i ordered came in today so going to top dress everyone tomorrow with an extra inch or so of soil. most of them at this point have areas where the roots are growing up outside the soil so going to give them a little more room to expand for the last month or so of flowering.
Definitely slightly cooked my leaves temps have been around 90-100 degrees outside and very humid where I live. Humidity is around 51% to 55% inside the tent right now, I only brought it down to 35% for that day just to see if its going to be possible with the new dehumidifier.
I will continue to lower the humidity by 5% a week until they're done and it should be about 35 to 40% by then. With the temps i have that gives me a vpd of 1.75 or something. but i think lowering it too fast along with high temps and the light being at 750 and 1000watts ended up roasting some leaves on a couple of my babies. nothing too serious just definitely damage to some leaf tips that got extra crispy lol
needles to say I won't be running the light at the full 1000watts anymore 750 max. going with 600watts for first couple (2 to 3) hours of the day and last couple 2 to 3 hours as well. so 750w for the other 12 to 14 hours a day. and even then going to keep an eye on it.
if temps are going to keep being this high outside and im still having issues with the light cooking leaves, then i might just leave it at 600 watts. its a very strong double ended hps and I have it like 28 to 36" away from the canopies (depending on the plant most are 2 to 2.5 feet tall with a few over 3 feet lucky my tent has a 6.5 foot clearance) but I feel like even the 600watts for 9 plants might be good enough.
I did almost the exact thing to my autos a week ago the affected areas stayed yellow but it stopped the spread
yeah it hasn't gotten worse since if anything a bit better. some of the leaves are like half green now lol the Boomerang helped i think
Edit: they are looking alot better today after giving 5ml silica,7ml calmag and 1 tsp of grow big. the green is coming back on alot of the leaves on both jacks. gonna switch to watering with nutes every other day and then might even hit them with FoxFarms Boomerang/Comeback formula on the plain watering days for a bit and see how it goes. picked up a bottle of the boomerang today so hope it'll help
As you can see the yellowing on the jack herer pretty much happened overnight. They weren't in the same spots in these photos but this was literally 2 days ago I believe it was in the center. you can see some maybe slight yellowing but nothing too crazy then this morning it is very obviously yellowing lol came on quick after the last regular watering. think I really do need to be feeding most of these plants every other day and at full strength even though they're autos. the closer up shots at the end are buds from that jack plant as well so its still producing at least lol
I have noticed that the autos will demand a lot in flower. I am definitely having a hard time figuring out the sweet spot between keeping them fed and lockout.
yeah im gonna try hitting them with the Foxfarm Boomerang/Comeback formula and see if it helps too
I will have to see how that goes... I've never used any FoxFarm except their soils...
Edit: updated with photos from outside the tent for clearer color and trichs. looking extra frosty on the pheno 2 of jelly. Have some closeups from all 4 strains in there today, not every pheno tho.
Sheesh that Jelly Donutz prime pheno is stacking like crazy. Trichs starting to pop out on everyone too, added some closeups of Jack Herer, Apple Fritter, one of the Jelly and one of the LSD.
Top dressed with another 1/4 inch of fresh Ocean Forest soil today then watered with the Boomerang Comeback formula at 2 tsp per gallon. Tell ya what, just based on how that microbe brew smelled and looked, its gonna help rejuvenate the root zones and hopefully help with the stresses they've been thru lol
Everyone went thru some heat stress and light stress last week, can see the cooked leaves in some of the closeups. Hoping the comeback will also help with the yellowing Jack's. The extra calmag and grow big I added to last watering helped a bit but going to start feeding every other day once im done using the Boomerang on em.
I've never used the Boomerang/Comeback formula before if anyone has suggestions on how to use it. Based on research and what the bottle says i definitely should not feed them any other nutrients or water them for at least 2 to 3 days. but im assuming they're gonna need water after 48 hours and I should just hit them with plain PH water next, then wait another 2 days and see how they look. At that point it should be about a week later and I can determine whether to resume with regular feedings or hit it with another dose of Boomerang im guessing?
I gotta say that Boomerang Comeback seems to be doing the trick. It hasn't even been a full day since applying the microbe brew and everyone is looking much happier, especially the 2 Jack's which are greening back up nicely. So ill wait another day or two, then water with PH adjusted water and as long as they look good by the next time to water I will continue with feeding every other day at full strength.
everything looking better after giving the Boomerang 2 or 3 days ago. gave them a full feeding today, might give one more dose of Boomerang next week to a couple of them but overall everything is stacking nicely and frosting up.
looking forward to harvesting in the next month hopefully. think a jelly donutz or 2 might be ready around day 72-80 at this rate. the larger thick jelly is ripening nicely already but think it can still fill out quite a bit more the last few weeks
lol ahhhh all the buds look soooo good and the one jelly is soooo close but not quite there yet.... then its gotta dry and cure :(
making sure this harvest lasts until the end of the next grow bc my buds are better then any bud I've had since it sucks lol
The big bushy LSD is flowering nicely. took 50 days to even start flowering so I have a feeling that plant is gonna take 100 to 120 days to finish but it should be a beast once it fills out.
Everything else is looking great even the 3rd kinda wonky jelly donutz is frosting up already and starting to thicken a bit. Pretty sure the 2nd jack herer is just cooked at this point tho lol buds are half the size of the better Jack. I really do think it had some kind of disease causing the spotting. it greened back up and hasn't gotten any worse per se, but definitely not producing nugs as nice as the other jack. that plant will make good edibles or hash most likely
Everything is doing beautifully. Gonna hit them with the Boomerang one more time this week along with a heavy feeding and everything should stay on track.
Gonna clip a couple sample buds later this morning from ones that are closest to being done, just because. I miss smoking MY fire nugs lol
grr so pumped to try the couple of samples that I took. grabbed 1 bud of each strain from the furthest along/best looking phenos. currently drying in the dry tent at about 60% rh and 65ish F. Will post some pics once I trim those buds up for smoking sample day
the first jelly donutz is really close to being done. almost hit day 70 like their packaging claims lol will probably feed it one more time then start flushing it. Should be done around day 78-80 tops, I will take top half of the plant if the rest still has a bit longer to go i will let it continue. Just gonna keep an eye on it, some of the tips on top have stopped growing and will start to burn if I don't pay attention.
everything else is on track to be done between days 80 and 90, except that beast of an LSD that didn't start flowering until day 50. its filling out very nicely so im excited to see what it yield. might be a 120 day grow on that one.
if that's the case I might hold off on starting the next batch until that one is closer to being done. that's maybe a 6 to 8 Oz plus plant alone
Those colas are huuuuge
edit: added some photos of the sample nugs i took off each strain that was closest to being done. and i gotta say for barely being dried and not cured this stuff is gonna be dank as fuuuuuu. think it was the jelly donutz nug I smoked earlier and it tastes *chefs kiss* already lmao and got me pretty damn high to boot π’
I really need to get a AC of some kind for the basement next summer lol got way too hot and it feels swampy down there even with the 2 dehumidifiers running all day. You can definitely see the cooked leaves from high temps and light being too intense on those days. you live and learn. the buds themselves seem to be doing fine.
gonna let everything hit its final chonk up then chop time in the next 2 or 3 weeks for most of these.
well except that massive late flowering LSD lol that will probably run 100 days plus but idc its plumping up nicely
Those ladies are looking amazing, congrats!!!! Looks like you wjll have a great harvest for all that hard work! Do you usually try to stick with resilient strains since you are in a more humid area? Humidity is my main problem, 90% all night last night so I have a cheap box fan pointed towards them pretty much 24/7 now
I have 2 box fans one blowing air in one pulling air out on the bottom panels then 2 oscillating fans inside the tent. I think I can only run my light at 600w for rest of grow the lower humidity with my new dehumidifier I can set it to pretty much whatever right now its at 50% but with light on its 45% inside tent. lowest ill go is 40% in the last week or two. I did have some bud rot last grow so trying to pull them before that happens. you can see the leaf tips damaged from the humidity being too low temps too high and light at 750w or 1000watts which was way too much. these plants been thru the ringer so for them to turn out this big and nice im very happy
Think we're looking at 3 to 4 weeks still on most of these. longer for that big azz LSD lol
The 1 Jelly Donutz pheno is almost done though. Just waiting for it to finish ripening up and ill start flushing it
very nice!
ty that one bushy lsd is pretty crazy if it chunks up anything like the other one its gonna be the biggest auto I've ever grown for sure
Awesome grow brotha!
thanks I cant wait to see how my.big bushy LSD turns out. buds look like they gonna end up being nice and thick
little vid of jelly donutz pheno 2. will post more vids this week as I update :)
started flushing the jelly donutz pheno 1, gonna chop it in about a week might harvest in stages if loeer half still ripening. the other 2 phenos of it are looking gorgeous. might run 4x jelly on the next grow, 2x lsd, 2x jack and 1 x apple. the jelly seem to have good success rate and good pheno variation so running 4 should be a good deal. Hopefully my next 2 lsd are just as big and hopefully the jacks do a little better since it looks like im only going to get of the 2 with quality bud. the other one is definitely going to edibles or bho
Couple photos right after lights out last night. Video is of Apple Fritter and LSD.
Started flushing the chonky Jelly in 2nd photo yesterday. Planning to chop it this weekend. Might harvest half and let bottom half go a few more days, depends how we're looking Saturday morning.
what week of flower are they in?
most of em started flowering around day 30 to 35 so a little over 5 weeks into flower
most of em started flowering around day 30 to 35 so a little over 5 weeks into flower
nice
looks great
So took a couple samples so I can get a better idea of how long they have left to go. Plus I just wanna smoke sime fire again lmfao
First one is LSD next is Apple Fritter, then Jelly donutz pheno 2 and lastly Jack Herer.
Video is jelly donutz pheno 2 one my favorite looking plants if the bunch
edit: added vid of the jack herer. love the bud formation on that plant cant wait to see how stacked they finish
sigh at this point its just a waiting game really. gonna pull the first jelly donutz tomorrow morning probably, everyone else still has at least 1 to 3 weeks to go. might even be another month until the large bushy lsd is done
Woke up nice and early to chop the first Jelly Donutz pheno before the lights came on. Will update with a couple bud shots soon.
Probably could have let it go a little longer but the tent is getting crowded and this plant was super densely packed and didn't want any bud rot to happen, even though I have the tent currently at 45% RH
everything looking really good . nice even canopy. how has been going now since all the problems u had in beginning?
been going smoothly these plants really have been thru the ringer lol they got some heat/light damage to the leaf tips but other then that everything is budding beautifully and seems like they were never even stressed. I think that foxfarm boomerang helps alot if you experience any kind of major stressor I'd give it a shot
honestly u canβt tell they were stressed . they can take a beating & u know what u doing so they come back . I forgot is it Autos or photoβs good to hear all is well . I have Advanced Nutrients revive , but I always willing to try something new . excuses to buy more shit at grow shops & always run into old faces good & bad . weβre u able to find where the water came in ?
seem like some nice buds to smoke I love the app people point u in the right direction people told me I need to raise my plants or lower lights so I added a ceiling fan well mounted a reg fan to my ceiling so I can run my plants closer to light and it worked I'll finish nice I had a bunch stunt one too .we live and learn that's why I'm glad I'm running back to back I'm set up to not stop growing year around in Wisconsin fuk there laws !!us. marijuana guys n gals are great bootleggers! enjoy your harvest my 2nd grow too
just waiting for jelly donuyz pheno 2 n 3, LSD 1, Apple Fritter 1 and jack herer 1 to finish ripening pretty much. well jelly 3 still has a little ways to go, so does the big bushy LSD 2 which is filling out nicely.
first jelly donutz still drying. the sample nugs I smoked the other day were fire for being early picks and just dried not cured. looking forward to the fully finished products.
everything is chugging along well. now that the jelly donutz has been drying for a bit, im thinking i pulled it a touch early. could have let it go another week at least, but idk. bud tips were getting burnt and it was a pretty stacked plant so was worried about bud rot if I let it go too long. I think it'll be fine though, just might not be as dense and couch locky as it could have been
pics 1 to 3: jelly donutz 2
Pic 4: apple fritter 1
Pic 5: LSD 1
Pic 6: the whole shebang
Moved everyone around a bit in the tent to give the large LSD more space. Everything looking good, Apple Fritter 1 and Jelly Donutz 2 are getting close to flush time. Jack Herer 1 and LSD 1 a little longer maybe, still alot of white hairs. but honestly if after day 90 those 2 don't look "riper" im just gonna flush and pull them anyways. I think it might be due to foxtailing.
what size tent is that ? 5Γ5 ?
few shots from just after lights out :) think im gonna start flushing the Apple fritter 1 and jelly donutz 2. the lsd still has alot of white hairs but might be due to foxtailing
π₯π₯π₯
They all look amazing!
Let me know if you need a taster. You know, for science ππ«‘
nice looking grow..π₯π₯π» I'm growing apple Betty autos ATM. I have another tent I crossed apple Betty mum photo period with a jelly donuts male. I'm also crossing jelly donuts with strawberry fire og from last year's cross..
ty yeah I like how all the diff phenos of jelly turned out, each one should be uniquely fire. the first apple fritter I have going is dumb frosty
yeah they look amazing. I Go for quality over quantity.. Apple fritter sounds interesting.i wonder what the different taste profile is like compared to apple Betty. I havent tasted apple Betty yet..The jelly donuts tho is π₯.. Got some new beana coming ATM some blackberry moonrocks & runtz punch I'll be doing them as a photo run.
Jelly Donutz 1 should be done drying this evening, tomorrow morning maybe at latest. so getting ready to trim that up, weigh it and jar it for curing.
everyone else doing well. gonna start flushing LSD 1, Jack Herer 1, Apple Fritter 1 and Jelly Donutz 2 today, plan to harvest in 7 to 10 days so 4 more coming down soon
That big LSD is well.... getting effing bigger lol chunking up beautifully. Definitely the biggest auto I've ever grown cant wait to see how it ends. The 3rd Jelly Donutz that reminds me of some old school afghani is also chunking up nice, to the point that some of the colas are flopping over and might end up needing a little support lol
still flushing the first LSD, Apple Fritter, Jack Herer and Jelly 2. all of those will be done in next 5 to 7 days now. I might let the lsd and Jack go a little longer but I think they're foxtailing and thats why theres still so many white pistils.
what strain is this?
These puppies are doing well. Gonna be harvesting majority in the next week or so, having a hard time deciding when to pull the LSD and Jack Herer. they have alot of white pistils still but like I said before, I believe it's from them foxtailing a bit. Wish my scope wasn't broken I'd check trichs to know for sure. But I feel like 90 to 95 days is plenty.
The larger LSD, one of the Jelly and Apple also have a little longer to go. at least 2 more weeks. the large lsd might even have up to 4 weeks remaining. it didn't start flowering until day 5 and unless it finishes quicker, it will probably be close to 120 days total for that plant. worth it though, the buds are looking big and like they will chunk up alot
Babies are looking staaacked with trichs.
Gave the large LSD another dose of Boomerang to help microbe levels in the soil and hopefully help some of the heat and light stress issues with the leaves. Buds are forming just fine on it so im not too worried.
Decided to feed the LSD and Jack one more time along with the others, still flushed Jelly 2 and Apple Fritter 1. So planning on taking Jelly 2 and Apple 1 in the next 5 to 7 days. Probably let them dry out for 48 hours, flush once more then wait 72 hours to dry out and harvest that next morning. Will reevaluate LSD 1 and Jack 1 n 2 in a few days. If anything ill stick to water, water, feed on those ones until they finish.
vid is jack herer.
jelly donutz 1 still drying. think its day 11 or 12? smoked a bit of it past few days, and just faced a nice blunt for my wake n bake lmao and its some straight fire for sure. ready to go back to sleep π΄
Jelly 1 that was harvested is still drying. think this is day 11 or 12 of drying so anytime now they will be ready to trim, weigh and jar. not gonna lie I've been smoking from it past 2 days lol but stems arent quite dry enough. ran out of smoke and even without curing its a really smooth, pleasant tasting smoke. and gets us pretty lifted to boot so not complaining. got plenty more coming the next few weeks lol
my goodness those are some FAT branches, great work!!
finally done drying jelly 1, trimmed it up and jarred. got 3 jars off that so about 3 Oz. didn't weigh it yet cant fund my damn scale lol but wasn't a huge yielder. quality nugs tho, n tastes nice
vid is jelly 2, photos are jelly 1 trimmed n jelly 3 still growing. taking down jelly 2 in few days along with apple 1
Have apple 1, Jack 1 and 2 coming down tmrw morning. Gonna wait few more days on Jelly 2 as it fades, plus I need to figure out where im drying all this. I can only fit maybe 2 plants in my drying tent.
might have to use the living room closet to dry jack 2 lol then I got that Jelly any day now as well and I know the Apple and Jacks are gonna take close to 2 weeks to dry based on the first jelly dry time. sigh.
These are some bootiful bishes
added vid of the jack herer. will add vid of the Fritter tmrws post
personally it looked like u had a week or 2 yet but idk I don't see any amber tricomes I can still see white hairs on one idk tho
lol trust me they're done. leaves faded and all. no macro shots but trichs were turning amber. white hairs are from foxtailing on the jack herer. my lsd is like that as well due to foxtailing, its almost all white hairs still but the plant is pretty much done. if I let them go any longer, bud rot would be a possibility. very dense flowers that were stacked tight together.
groovy just looking out it's hard to tell who's new and not !
o that's a mix of jack herrer I love jack herrer how's that for a grow easy ?
Jack herer x ruderalis (jack herer auto) by greenhouse seed co strain hunters packs. the other plant is Apple Fritter by royal queen seeds I was just telling my wife I should cross jack herer and Apple Fritter and make some Apple Jacks seeds π the jack was actually a hungry plant required heavy feeding. got thick buds that just kept swelling and foxtailing thus the white hairs still. maybe could have let it go another week. the Apple fritter was Def done though, completely faded leaves and 90%+ pistils turned. my scope broke so I haven't been able to get accurate trichs as I normally would but im not too worried. the other Apple fritter, lsd 2, and jelly 3 gonna be at least 2 to 3 more weeks. lsd 1 is foxtailing hard but im gonna pull it in the next week probably
haha yeah i been growing for over 15 years only been doing autos for the past 6 months this is my 2nd autoflower grow
I don't have that much time but I have a diploma in horticulture doesn't mean I know everything I stay humble lots to learn but if I strike gold I share. my plants never once had a deficiency I'm running pineapple muffin 2 of them chronic tonic alphabet runtz and gorilla haze to bad my haze and runtz stunted from growing to big of roots .I found this instant kelp tea called plant magic check it out .and I had to transplant to many times and probably over watered them I switched to fabric pots and bought a water gauge so hopefully problem solved
wow looking amazing!!
vid from apple fritter 1 harvest yesterday am. video wasn't working right and now its not showing up to upload lol
Gonna harvest the messed up looking jack 2 tomorrow morning. Still flushing jelly 2 to harvest soon. Trying to let LSD 1 go as long as possible with the foxtailing its hard to tell when to call it.
LSD 2 still has 2 to 3 weeks maybe. Jelly 3 another 1 to 2 weeks. Apple 2 another 2 to 3 weeks as well then this grow is complete. will start the next generation in a week or two.
check the tricolmbs so not go based on the hairs some strains will keep producing white pistols and foxtail is due to light stress lights probably to far away form the plants
Pulled the jack thats had something wrong with it for a long time today lol surprised it made it to the finish line with OK nugs. The leaves were mostly effected by whatever the problem was. Hung this as a whole plant for now, later today I will strip it down into larger branch groups because its tight together and wanna make sure it dries well. Should still end up with some decent backup smoke from it lol or edibles. Other then that, down to the last 5 plants. trying to keep jelly 2 and LSD 1 going until the stuff in the drying tent is done but that could be another 10 to 12 days so idk. im currently using my coat closet to dry the shitty jack lol
photos are from apple fritter and jack that are drying, gave one the buds a quick trim just to see what it looked like lol they still got a while to go drying
Fucking a, got stoned while burping the first jelly donutz jars last night and forgot to put the tops back on. ended up passing out and waking up this morning and realized it.
*shrugs* mighta lost some smell from that one lol I really gotta stop burping them and smoking while I wait 15 or 20 mins for them to air out before replacing the tops because this is like the 3rd time in a week I've forgotten and left them for hours lol
I did the same thing, woke up the next morning, jars all open... π€¦ββοΈπ€£
Loving the colors on this plant, definitely a gorgeous pheno of Jelly Donutz. may not be a huge yielder, but these will definitely be some choice nugs.
looks amazing can almost smell the pic lmao great grow
definitely one if my favorite looking plants out of this grow. honestly all 3 jellys look great in their own way. the 3rd looks more like Afghani to me. and my whole house stinks right now lol I got a full 2x2 tent drying, and now my hallway closet is full. trying to hold off on harvesting my LSD 1 until something else is done drying lol
hell yes I love that smell my wife font lol
mine either lmao her and my daughter complained that their clothes in their rooms stink my wife is the director of EVS at a hospital so she cant really be stinking lol but twice now her boss has said her office reeks and its always at harvest time
lmao hell to tha yea grow more
looks delicious π€€
started flushing lsd 1. in photo 5 you can see how its foxtailing but the buds just keep swelling lol another 7 to 10 days max on it though. fritter 2 and jelly 3 should be done in 2 weeks or so. lsd 2 might be another 2 to 3 weeks as well.
Those look great!
Happy Plants πͺ΄ πππ
Got Apple Fritter 1 trimmed n jarred. ended up with 5 jars off that plant. 3 off jelly donutz 1. Haven't really bothered to weigh them but typically an oz per jar or so.
once lsd 1 is flushed thats coming down next. followed by jelly 3 and apple 2 and finally lsd 2 to wrap up this current grow. will start next batch of seedlings in a week or so
looks amazing bro , great job
tasty looking buds!
Looks super yummy!
ty everyone. got 5 full jars of apple, 2 of Jack so far. should be about same amount for jack 1. so far 10 jars total out of everything I've trimmed, minus 1 jars worth that I've smoked already of jelly lol so I have 9 jars worth of smoke at the moment, but should be about 11 or 12 jars by the time jack 1 is done trimming
yum π€€
have spent past 3 days trimming pretty much lol still gotta finish trimming jack 2. im up to 13 or 14 full jars, and weve smoked a jar or two already lol
hoping to end up with 30 to 40 jars worth if not more by the end of this. typically about an oz per jar ill weigh everything eventually lol
I actually need to order some of those terp lock bags or whatever that you can cure in. I don't have enough jars for the entire harvest so will probably order some qp bags and Oz bags for curing rest of this
look real nice trimming there
looks really good!!! your hard work shows!!! keep it up!!! ππ½
looked good I would have given it another week or so to let the leafs fade more
lights where not close enough and intensity was to much some foxtails going on there definitely cooked them a bit to I see but buds look a bit frosty nice job
Gonna pull LSD 1 in 2 days or so im thinking. or might water once more and let dry out before harvesting. will see how im feeling lol i need a break from trimming. have 4 plants trimmed and jarred at this point. currently at like 15 or 16 jars full total. really it was 17 or 18 weve smoked a good amount of the Jelly 1 lmao
jelly 2 that is drying rn looks crazy fire probably the most potent looking plant so far. cant wait for the nugs to be a little drier for a sampley doo :)
you can see the tops fattening up on LSD 2 now and the larger colas are starting to fall over from their own weight lol
how is that strain u have LSD before.i know I like the kind u get head rushs off bud I just mean u get a big hit and have mild hallucinating not hardcore just for a second was just wondering if that's one of them strains that do that ???
beautiful plants tho
harvested the first LSD today and oooweeeee some big nuggers on that baby.
main cola as big as my mini dachshund haha
really looking forward to smoking this baby, the original LSD photoperiods by Barneys Farms is one of my favorites that I've ever grown, used to a very psychedelic head and body high, very giggly. hoping the auto version is even close because these 2 plants should produce well over 12 ounces between them so ill have alot of it betwen 2 different phenos.
will probably do 3x lsd, 3x Jelly, 2x jack, 1x apple fritter on the next run which I will be starting in the next 1 or 2 weeks whenever I stop being lazy lol also gonna start planning my next seed order for the run after that, I like to switch up every few grows if not every grow.
Thats how Ive always done my measuring. 3 doggies worth π€ not bad at all lol
yo thatβs epic af!!!
ty definitely one of the biggest main colas and overall biggest buds off this plant.
haha I got 3 doggies all small. 2 mini dachshunds and a pikapoo or some mutton lol
π what are the chances lol. lucky guess
nice looking buds and all but we're gonna need more pics of the pup....lol seriously nice grow though!!π
haha ill post some more pics of her tomorrow. I have 3, 2 mini dachshunds Lily and Oscar that are sister and brother, then Luna the pikapoo or whatever she is lol she had an issue with her back and her legs got derpy but she can walk drunkenly and unfortunately is in a diaper because she randomly pees
1 of my 3 mini dogs from yesterday's size comparison, being lazy and sleepy in mommas lap lol
had to tie the colas of LSD 2 to.the ceiling of the tent for support, they were practically touching ground today lol
last photo is a small nug shot of the Apple fritter 1 and Jack herer 1 before rolling up :)
I'm a uncle to 2 beautiful golden doodles ! my brother has 2 one mini one Lucy and Weston is a big one there great dogs Lucy can jump almost 4 ft in the air from standing still she does that when she gets excited
she's beautiful the dog lol I luv animals.my neighbor has a big male just a reg golden retriever this big male pulls out of the owners chain every time he walks past to come by me and my friends very friendly dogs
pulling the last 3 plants tomorrow morning on day 115, lsd 2, Apple fritter 2 and jelly donutz 3 autos that all took a bit longer then the rest.
gonna clean the tent after and clean basement/spray for spiders and prep for this next winter basement grow :) will probably run same 4 strains again, but might order some other strains as well before I start. who knows its a surprise lol
finally the day has come to pull the last 3 of 9 plants. LSD 2, Jelly Donutz 3 and Apple Fritter 2.
Time to dry, trim n cure and start the next batch
DAM, teach me how to do that pls. lol
Pretty much everything i did on this grow should be tracked on here, only missed a couple log days recently. these plants been thru the ringer too, but i easily pulled over 2 lbs total dry weight off the 9 plants. ill weigh everything up once these 3 are done drying, but by that point I will have smoked over a qp worth for sure lol
wow that looks amazing wish I knew how to do that π
I grew a wedding cake auto flower as my first ever. I'm in the drying stage now. I've got so much to learn. I have a Colombian gold photo in a grow tent that is doing pretty good. I've got about 4 weeks left of flower on it. I'm trying and learning.
Great Job Keep it moving you will only get betterππ½πͺπΎπ―
I grew a lot of Barneyβs LSD back in the 80βs great strain
I did 5 of them around 2010ish and in particular phenotype lsd #2 was some crazy ish. stuff was a very nice balanced psychedelic mind and body high and tasted great probably overall some of the best smoke I've ever had not just grown myself. I've heard recently their genetics for LSD have changed though and not quite the same as back then
2010 green house seeds super lemon haze. Was something special. I got a copy from them now, not even close to that one from 2010. great seed company though. I like Barneyβs too, mimosa orange punch was great
green house is very good & also been around forever. I use to belong to the super sativa seed club in the 80βs. was hard to get seeds then . they mailed it in cassette cases . u had to order your seeds in January to get em by March . I have seen some of there shows strain hunters . good show .
I actually grew LSD outdoors last year 2 plants @7 feet. great genetics no mold or pests
I've never used greenhouse seeds before but have a lot of good things and know they've been in the game forever so looking forward to how the Jack turns out since I need a strong sativa in my inventory lol Barney's Farms had never let me down before either but seems like past few years people have been ragging on some of their genetics
yeah LSD is supposed to be really resistant to most of that stuff it's actually a good strain for beginners especially because it's usually a good yielder with good potency
I have to find my notebook to see what the yield is . finished end of September which is a plus . where Iβm at is high humidity in summer & cold rainy fall . good luck π
π
Iβve got the Mimosa Orange flowering now Smells are mouthwatering π
I would definitely do that strain again. enjoy itβs tasty π
Should I hold out for the purple leaves? Iβm only at day 51 and the main cola is going amber
I would, up to you how you prefer you experience. longer you wait more different flavors come out, if you can drop temperature it will definitely fade nicely. more of a nighttime smoke π¨
Many thanks!
