Grow Timeline (51 updates)
I started seeds in a bag on one side of a wet paper towel one the tap roots was over an inch and the seed was either removed or about removed (I removed a couple myself with tweezers) I started in store bought soil in cups I made a hole big enough to put the taproot down 1st and leave the starter leaves pod out of the soil and lightly covered the rest
At the beginning of the week I start the plants on nutrients fox farms trio I started with the big grow and the big bloom in about a quarter of what was recommended the week before I had topped three of the plants and this week I topped the other three two of the plants seem to have stunted growth, but are catching up quickly now
Starting 2nd week on nutrients I up to closer too 50% of recommended dose at 10 ml for fox farms big bloom and 5ml of grow big still having a small bug prob mostly aphids and white flies I think so I mixed 7 drops of peppermint essentials oil in 2litter of water and sprayed them and I ordered some yellow sticky traps and soap should be here Tues until them I’ll just chk for bugs a few more times a day and use the spray as needed the new tops is starting on the third node since topping and I’ll probably top again at the 3rd node once the 4th has grown in and I’ll give the tops to my brother to clone again. I also ordered some padded wire for train the stems horizontally I will post a video when I get new stuff in
When time to Harvest - Do you do any trimming before drying?
Yes or no
If so, how much?
If no why not?
For me I might cut a few big leaves before hanging them up but 99% of the trimmings is done after drying before curing.
Depends on your drying environment. Rule of thumb is to shoot for 60/60. If you can't get it perfect, get it close as you can. I dry in a hot garage so I dont trim anything so I can slow the drying process. If its cold, trimming may be necessary to prevent mold
Stuff came in late today so was only able to do two before I had to leave but I’ve done a variation on the manifold method some trimmed more and other left fuller to see (I know some won’t make it if I chose to lolipop it or something similar) but I used bud huggers padded wire and I got some sticky traps for the bugs I’ll spray the soap tomorrow after I feed
Thanks man I’m trying making a journal and plan and watching you guys and videos oh by the way nice video bub I appreciate you showing us that. You know I have a small gaming channel if you ever choose to do something on kick or where ever I’m not to shabby at editing videos
Might have to take you up on that some day! What i really want to do is some kinda video snap of my plants from seed to harvest sometime! I put all my pics in their own file.
Dude anytime you want to try let me know we can do video pics and voice over and if you don’t want to use your own voice then there are some nice Ai ones that sound real as heck but I’m my experience ppl like to get to the grower too
Yes very true, and that sounds cool. I've never done shit like that but always watch guys that have some really bad ass content.
Yes very true, and that sounds cool. I've never done shit like that but always watch guys that have some really bad ass content.
Performed watering
Haha thats one way to think of it 😄 and I also feel its better to talk to people. You get waay more info from people
Yes get good knowledge and the convo is better then asking the AI bot on google. (I mean I use google too but I’m just saying lol)
😆right, I mean there is a couple of good uses but it’s far and few between and the bulk like the google ai is trash but I’m going to take your advice before I get worked up too 😂
Ai definitely takes the thinking out of everything. To each their own tho. Best advice is have is watch the plant and THEN research the takeaway 👍🏿
Man how these girls perked up after that trimming and training. It really opened them up. Getting ready to start raining today (looks like it could be a good one. So I’m moving my other plans until tomorrow
I adjusted some of the training Ties and it looks like two of the plants will be ready for a 2nd topping this weekend one of the plants that got stunted I’ll probably just leave at one topping and I need to pick up some more soil to build up around the base and I thought about transplanting two of the plants after I found some huge pots but I’ve never transplanted this late so I’ll have to look more into that
This is the progression of one of my plants over 4days (in a row) from the time I trimmed and trained them over till 4 days after. I thought it was a cool transition. Nothing super out of the way but cool nonetheless
Dude for not to have grown in years I’m super happy and learning a ton too especially with all you guys on here
I started them after paper towels germ. In just a miracle grow mix then when I put them in the bigger pots it’s a mix of the rest of that some wood chip compost that almost completely soil now and some horse manure compost after a month started using fox farm big bloom and grow big I started at a quarter of recommended feeding
Next time though I’ll prob use some fox farm soil with black kow or indicanja (I think that’s how the spell it but I still need to think about that
I know I really didn’t want to use it but it was free and I was hoping where it was just the small seedling cups it wouldn’t hurt to much but I did get two that where stunted
I built living soil and full organic and by the looks of my girls compared to last year this time is night and day
Cow and horse poop compost was about all we used to use back in the day I had a buddy that had some type of nuts in a pop bottle he used to give me and I would put it on about 4 time throughout the whole season but I swear I couldn’t tell you what was in it we use to get some good bud but nothing like it is now
Yea the genetics are good nowadays. As longs as their not back crossed 100 times! I've used living soil i built out of roots Organics 707, FOX Farms ocean forest, perlite and mixed a bunch of organic fertilizer in from down to earth. It's been amazing so far! Can't wait to see the outcome
I’ve not tried the ocean forest I tried happy frog ( I’m pretty sure that’s the name) I liked that but I hear more and more liking ocean forest better
Yes, every one of my grower friends swears by ocean Forrest and 707. But I straight put it on crack by turning it into a living soil with all of my organic amendments
Yeah I’ve got to say I’ve not heard of it and I watch a lot of content so you might be onto something new
Yeah dude I’ve seen them love how rounded and full those look. That’s the look I want to get on a few of mine
Jsust top them multiple times. Only when you have 4-5 nodes. My sour headies has 36 top nodes. The others have between 24-32
Oh bro wait until flower season! Im chomping at the bit! Can't wait to see these girls in full flower! My whole fuckong neighborhood is going to smell!!! Lol
Yeah I’m in VA dang! Me and my wife been talking about doing a cross country trip maybe if we commit to that we will have fig something out
Hell yea bro for sure! I do go visit my brother in Tennesse a couple times a year. How far is that from you?
If it’s eastern Tennessee then that’s pretty much my back yard we just got back from a weekend getaway just right out side of Knoxville also picked my daughter up from Knoxville airport when she got back from Japan for school last month and I go to Bristol tn/va all the time it starts to become a real long journey around Nashville I think that’s 6 hours away but where I live I’m about 10 min from Ky and 45 to 50 to tn if you look at Va it kinda looks like a shoe I live in the toe part of that shoe. Are you so cal or NorCal?
I live in nor cal, my brother is near Nashville he lives about 30 min from there. Knoxville is about 3hrs. From him
The leaves are laid o er because I took the pics just right before it went dark I’ll take some during noon tomorrow I added more soil (I’ll get the name and put it in tomorrows post) the bottom of sticks was starting to grow roots so I put more soil in and filled the pots up a mounded soil around stock up to the first set of real leaves that I had already trimmed off. I feed too today also (see feeding notes) and twisted the pots to get more sunlight and pull plants back to center
Yeah dude every morning I go out there smoke and pick bugs or whatever and listen to music, I think I’ve found my calling… lol🥹😘🤓😝
Yeah I used to go out on the porch and play my guitar not I take a chair out there I don’t know if it’s true or not but they say stuff like helps plant grow but either it occupies me 😝
Good music, good vibes and chill attitude with the plants I believe makes it a good or bad harvest! I feel like they vibe off how you treat them and work with them
I can get behind that forsure. I’ve seen where they have done studies on ppl talking and sing to them and as long as it’s not negative they seem to benefit. Like my grandma used to tell me you go a lot further with a kind word and smile
Thats the 100% facts bro! Mine would say if you don't got nothing nice to say don't say it at all. Lol
Not had to do much today so just wanted to wish everyone Happy Father’s Day (whether you got kids or grow babies 😆) hope it’s a good one
Dude, it’s crazy you mention that, I was just telling my brother that’s what I want to and even got a plan to where I can set up to grow with lights if I wanted to just the sun like a clear greenhouse or just black it out if I wanted to go into flower earlier
Sense you got a bunch of wood try both just never take them out or you gotta be really careful if you want to be outside
This one guy I seen had one of those Amazon greenhouse and the took that thick black plastic that would go from one side to the next over top the greenhouse and had this long pole on a hinge that way he cover the whole thing by his self just by swing that arm/pole from one side to the other. I’ll see if I can find that video and send that to ya what I’m wanting to do is a modified version of that
When I did mine I just made a square like 3x2 and taped it and tape the front for me to get into and worked great but killed the plants didn't know that I had to harden them off so it was my fault I was fuck this thing works great but kills the plants the moment I take them and I would take them out in the middle of the worst thing to do lol so yeah you live an learn
I’ve got a bunch of clear plastic but I need to get some black plastic too if I want to try the black out
I’ve got a bunch of maple 1x1’s and 2x2’s from a local company but they bend really good they would be great to make the top arched
Did nothing today but this evening going to top again (2nd time) and replace sticky traps and spray peppermint oil spray. It’s supposed to rain so prob won’t feed tonight or tomorrow but next feeding is the last before I flush for salts
Your right. Wasn’t thinking there lol dude I get so ahead of myself sometimes. I try to work smarter and end up just working harder lol bass ackwards like usual lol
I had an animal of some kind come and bite off a big leader/branch off one of the smaller ones last night my neighbor said squirrels have been getting his peaches so I wonder if it might be the same but I may have to try and put something around them
Nah squirrel dont want cannabis. They're too boujee for that 😅 their cousins on the other hand are all bums and eat everything. Except master splinter. He cool lol
We get some big river rats here.. think it’s that? And yes splinter the man and Donatello is my spirit animal
I wouldn't be surprised if they did bro. And Michelangelo was my mentor as a child. We got in a lot of trouble.
I topped all put one for the 2nd time today I’m going to let the other grow another week before topping. I went ahead and sprayed peppermint essentials oils spray (it’s 7 drops of oil to a spray bottle that holds 32oz) I sprayed the pots soil and lightly misted the leaves it’s not supposed to rain for another 2 days so I went ahead and sprayed. It rained yesterday so didn’t use any nutes and if it continues to rain the rest of the week I may treat this as a flush week we will just have to wait and see how much we get. After the rain this week I’m going to start putting a ring around the plants of cinnamon and cayenne pepper to help keep away things like deer where they are starting to stretch some. This will prob be the last topping but we will see how it does in the next two weeks
Yesterday before dark I took the trainers off and this morning I just did a bug chk only got one white fly and a spider so they are becoming less and less but that’s it for now I’ll chk the soil before dark if it’s dry I’ll do a feeding since not supposed to rain again until Friday night to Saturday day
Performed feeding details in the feeding notes and I sprayed insecticidal soap. Deer are starting to travel so soon I need to set up a fence of some kind and put out pepper and cinnamon
Man I swear for like 3 days after a feeding it just expands local dispensary has some grow stuff on sell and some of its 90% off but there ain’t much left but they had a bottle of silicate for 15$ so I’m going to pick it up Monday
It usually avg around the mid 80’s to 89. But you can see swings from 79 to 93. The nights can swing from 65 to 77 but usually stays in the 70’s and it’s considered a forest area humidity can get high in the 80’s but usually stays around the mid 60’s I’ve had great luck growing both indicas and sativas but I find sativa do a little bit better dog days can get brutal here sometimes but nothing a little shade cloth wouldn’t fix
That's sounds like good conditions. Your girls look happy. I dont think a plant could stand 3 hours of direct sunlight in my neck of the woods. I exaggerate, but the humidity is the really killer. When I grew outside, I always panicked the entire fall about rain, mold, damp conditions. If you can't move them, you have to plant 3x what you expect to yield to account for the losses due to mother nature. But weed loves the sun man.
The conditions here are really good there might be a day here or there you have to worry about that is until dog days it can get a little brutal but I throw up some cheese cloth like stuff it really helps and if your using bought soil you have to worry to bad that stuff drains good (most anyways) but if your using local soil then either mix in some wood chips or the like or get a strain that fights mold pretty good cause some the soil can hold water pretty good got mix a little wrong this year on a couple of them and it takes an extra day or two to to become try which ain’t bad if your in the woods away from a water source but in your yard it can ruin feeding cycle plans
Are you west coast or more western? I’m in the Appalachian mountains in Va. great place to grow and on a good parallel for the sun too
Dude... I want to move to Va. I'm in an illegal state. 3 below you. It will never..... Ever be legal where I am. Fuck em. It ain't never stopped me before. But it must be amazing to access govt based websites that tell you how much power it takes to sustain different sized grows. Like Va does. Lol I did some research on va. The company I work for has a factory in Bristol and I have been considering transferring if it's an option .
I live close to Bristol it’s about an hour and a half which isn’t long in these mountains Va has its ups and down but over all I like it and you already being from the south you prob a good idea about the ppl and politically speaking we are a purple state. So we have things like legal cannabis and an almost $13 min wage and also have open carry and stand your ground laws which works for me since I straddle the line on some issues it’s a little ruff where I live it’s the poorest county in Va but wife works from home and I’m disabled with rental properties and side businesses (nothing big) and if you got or going to have kids the schools are good especially the colleges and universities
I’m please with how the plants are coming along and if I’m lucky she should stay in veg until at least mid July but Nothing done this morning but there are a couple of them I want the bud sites to get direct sunlight so either tonight or in the morning I’m going tie a few stem back this along with the topping I did a couple of days ago should allow the other stocks to catch up while giving a lot for light to the bud sites(or where they will be) sun or Monday if it doesn’t rain before then I’m going to start on tiger bloom about one or two tsp along the same amount of the other nutes I’ve been giving
You got some happy bushes bro! I wouldn't worry too much about them getting light. In my experience, in the great outdoors, you will have more than you know what to do with. And they have a ways to go. I love the big fans. I always try to keep one if I can. But in my little setup, space is at a premium!
Yeah I’m hoping they veg from about 3 weeks into July to the the 1st week of Aug that way even if the frost comes early that will be 2 to 3 months of flower
Oh wow so these were photoperiods the whole time? Aha I thought they were autos! Dude she’s hella happy !! 🌺💪🏽
I did some training today but I didn’t get crazy with it. Using Budtrainers bud huggers padded wire and I just pulled a few tops down to have an even rounded canopy and it brought all the top bud sites to the same level. There was a couple of leaves trimmed just for air and sunlight but 99% of them was able to be left alone or tucked I’m happy the way it turned out It rain today so didn’t have to water but these girls love the rain water so much better anyways. After the rain I’ll replace the bug traps and spray the peppermint also this week or next I need to do a flush week wash away any salts or the like then start back and add tiger bloom to the feeding
Not big but they are around 4 gal I didn’t even plan on doing a grow I was able to gets seeds so I didn’t buy anything then I found these seeds I had put up and just starting using what I had I also got started a month
You should be fine how many hr of day light are you getting right now mine went into bloom I don't know if cause I started them on a grow light so they think it fall but mine are flowering and there just normal seeds lol
I’m at around 15 hours a day right now and usually doesn’t drop below 13 and 1/2 until after dog days or around mid august I’m hope I have at least one more month of veg we will see the last few years in been late Oct if not later before the 1st frost
We used to get a frost anywhere from real late Sept to beginning of October but it’s been years since I’ve seen a frost in Sept and usually it’s the end of Oct unless we get some crazy cold snap that who I use to tell when to harvest mine try to get it right before the 1st but not later then after the 1st one cuz it used to match up so well but now it’s getting warmer and warmer here almost like the seasons are changing it’s weird
You got an android or apple I know random as question but there have lens for android and it's free on android I used that allot it giving me answer to my very specific question I know this app has it but you gotta watch some adds on it on the other it don't and it pulls info from every source that it could find on
Yeah I use Google lens allot cause I don't just grow weed so I take pic and tell me what is wrong with what I could with and all that good stuff I don't think they got it for Apple
So on there is a google app on iPhone that has lens in with it but I don’t know if it’s the full google lens but your right it’s pretty cool I’ve been playing with it
I’ve always heard this place was great for growing weed an old I used to grow with said we are only 2nd to Humboldt county lol
Yeah they say it’s the best place on earth to grow but I’m not so sure and even if it is you still got the human factor the best stuff I ever smoked came from a hillbilly on the border with ky and grew the shit in the woods next to a mountain creek so go figure I think it’s more about the grower then where it’s grown lol
Yes sir like any other plant if you don't give it its nuts it will taste mediocre hey but that's just me
I got a pic right before dark today so a lot of the leaves are starting to lay down. It got real humid today but the girls took it like a champ and they have been exploding with this rain water, ph meter kicked the bucket so I’ll have to manage until I get another I mix my nutes with fresh water each time anyway and so far as been good but still like to make sure. But the soil is still wet so will wait another day to feed and water but it’s going to get hot this week so need to keep a good eye the soil don’t go completely dry I sprayed peppermint oil but still need to do the traps over I’m I’m please with the growth and canopy shape so far will continue to adjust as they grow.
They are looking better every day. This is what I call the veg run. You'll start seeing 1/2" to 1.5" of growth a day at times. My little ones just hit it. They put on almost an inch last night. Unfortunately, I can't let mine "run". So I'm flipping em now and I'll probably be super croping a couple. I may even have to lose a branch here or there! But they should be beautiful.
If you super crop take some pics I would like to see some close up pics I’ve never tried it only seen a couple of videos
These are the pics when I chked this morning it was around 75 degrees with heavy cloud cover which has went away now humidity was 86 but supposed to drop to 68 by noon the top inch of the soil was still a little damp so I’m going to wait until this evening to feed the plants and I’m going to up the feeding to 3 or 4 liter per plant and hopefully I can get two more feeding before it rains again and the weekend I’m going to flush for two cycles and when I start back I’m going to add in tiger bloom also I’ve probably got about a month to a month and half before bloom. (The sunlight doesn’t go below 13.5 hours a day until after dog days so I’ve probably got till then) so in two weeks I want to do a round of cal mag and possibly silicate before the bloom. It’s felt good to go into this grow with a rough plan laid out in my notebook growing outside never lets you get to detailed with it but have something to turn to when I’m thinking about my next steps or to turn to page to help diagnose a problem has been so helpful to my mental health lol i highly recommend having a grow journal a physical one and to utilize apps like this one write down as much as you can think of put as many pics as you can give details about what your doing. It will make you a better grower and will help down the road someday
Performed watering and feeding I started tiger bloom at 10ml the recommended dose. (Look at feeding notes for details) I feed them last night about an hour before sunset. I have to be careful today as it could get has hot as 92 degrees with 98% humidity I have a shaded spot I can put them if I need to and I have an old box fan I could hook up to quickly move the air if the humidity spikes but over I don’t think I’ll have to do that today but it’s good to have a plan. All the top colas are the same height so I released the wires to see how they grow and tried to do some quick tucking but it’s clear I’m going to have to trim some but all I’m looking to do is add some air to the bottom and uncover in buddies so they can get the sun I will just tuck if I can I will get rid of any leaves that are damaged at least 40% of the leaf and any leaves that look to be struggling that way the plants are wasting any energy. Over all I’m happy with the growth we are seeing 1 to 3 inches of growth per day on some of these plants. I need to get some cal mag before bloom and if I can start them this month before pre flower or during pre flower. We are in the final push of the veg cycle. Let’s hope I don’t fuck it up now
It’s my 1st time using and I’ve only used liquid fertilizers but I’m really liking its been simple I got the fox farm trio of grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom. If I was growing indoors I would have went ahead and got fox farms cultivation nation (it’s there cal mag) but out doors I only use it right before bloom and during bloom but on their website there are feeding charts for soil coco and others and it goes week by week I feed around 2 times a week but I didn’t use any for the 1st month due to the soil I was using but after that I started at about 25% of what the recommended and every 2 or 3 feeding moved it up to 50 the 75 then 100 then just followed the chart I’ve played around with amounts after mixing but allow mixed to 1gal what they recommended and I like it it’s easy
I’ve been thinking about trying a full on lollipop with a couple I use do a kinda lol pop with I take off some on the bottom like a lollipop but I usually leave a lot more then a normal lollipop but seeing the buds yall get with a lollipop I’m thinking about trying it
Everything looking great so far I got 2 of the plants pulled backed and tucked only had to get rid of 4 leaves in that process and it has amazing airflow and light. I’ll prob get 2 more done this evening. I have a DR appointment so won’t get to do to much today but while I’m out I’m going to pick up some cal mag get these girls ready for flower and might pick up some chicken wire and put me some post out something to keep the deer out and if need be tie a trellis net to. But overall I’m happy, and they look the way I want to right now. I’ll chk the soil tomorrow 3 days after watered and see if it’s dry if so we will do one more feeding then 2 cycles of heavy watering to flush the soil. This will have to be a straight water flush since I’m out of the flush stuff but past that it’s just maintaining until pre flower. I might start recording some of this stuff to make it easier
Right! And i understand that because a lot of my health issues I have a lot of free time to look over the girls but at the same time it limits me in how much I can do at a time. But it just takes a few min on the morning and few minutes of the evening and a person can be right on top of everything. I chk on mine several times a day especially if it’s hot
8:40pm et jyy it st got home after a long hot day and found one of my plants with heat stoke almost all the older bigger fan leaves got scorched to the point I had to remove them luckily it was only the big order fan leaves all the plants looked a little tired but there was only two more where I had to remove one leaf each I’m going to feed and water them first thing in morning but tomorrow during the hottest part of the day I’m going to move them out of direct sunlight for about 4 or 5 hour of the day then put them back after I’ll have to chk on them a couple times a day to make sure they are ok but we will have to see if this will set them back any
Damn.. they'll come back. It's hot there in my neck of the woods too bro. Got up to 100° today. You only need a few hours of direct light outside. I bet the ppfd is like 12 to 1300 in the sun.
I’ve never had to much trouble with the sun here but this year has been brutal I can’t stand to be outside more the 15 to 30 min at time and about need a shower after that lol
No it’s supposed to go perfect no problems and big yields on some cross eyed buds lol yeah I know but I was devastated things had been going so good then I slacked one day (had to go to doc) and boom buckshot to the chest lol
Well let's just say I was like a crackhead looking for Crack they dropped in the carpet! Lol looking glass flashlight and pinched every one of those fuckers until they were gone! I picked around 60 off
Don't say that!! I do not want to have that issue again this year! I've prepared much better this year. Preventative maintenance. Spraying the girls rotating types every 2-4weeks
Bugs is the one thing I’ll go over board on just because I don’t want to deal with them and once they take hold the Kattie bar the door, the shit done hit the fan lol
I was shocked when I went outside and seen the girls standing at attention maybe not 100% but 90 to 95% unharmed for this reason and it being the last feeding before I flush the soil I went ahead and feed them instead of just watering. I also left them in direct sun until 10:15am where I moved them into the shade and I’ll have to chase the shade around but I’m going leave in shade until around 7 or so or when the temps fall back under 92-90 degrees. Humidity for the hottest parts of the day will be around 69 to 59 as the day goes on. Starting Friday and going for more then a week the forecast is giving a chance of rain everyday I fig this will be the best time to flush. I looked around for cal mag yesterday and couldn’t find any I’ve got one more place to look today and if they don’t have it I’ll have to order it. The girls are growing 1 to 3 inches a day right now and pos have another month of veg to get bigger they are in small pots so I’m not expecting monsters. Over all I’m happy with the way things are going and I seem to be on par if not far ahead some local growers I know despite starting late. Let’s go! Good luck have fun let’s grow
They nlook like they are putting on 3" a day too!!! Wow. They are beautiful! You're trying to baby yours as we all do! They look really good bro. "Chasing the shade" haha. I know exactly what you mean too. It's so hot down here that my house stays in the 80s all day. It was 5am this morning before it got back to 75°! I'm praying my AC doesn't crap out man. It runs 24 hours a day. Have you tried ACe? The aces down here sell GH Flora Trio and Calimagic. Well one does for sure, that I know of.
Man not going to lie brotha I was praying for the betterment of this issue 💪🏽🌺 Glad they came back strong. And maybe even stronger 💪🏽💯😎
Dude thanks because it’s a blessing and miracle that nothing more happened I was worried on one of the plants yesterday I picked off like all the big fan leaves prob 10 or more because they was so damaged and and about 5 of the smaller ones and it looked weak over all but this morning I choked on it and there was one spot that looked a little tired about half the size of my hand and the rest of it looked great and the others looked tired and weak but only had like one or two damaged leaves was it so when I seen what these pics show It was like Christmas and bday rolled into one needless I was worried sick and praying too lol
Let me ask you I prob got one more month of veg unless something happens and some of those side colas that filled in the center after training them are starting to out grow the other tops, should I try a 3rd topping on thoses or just try and train them down or clip the fan leaves off the nodes to try and slow the upper ward growth? I’m back and forth on what to do? It’s only on like 2 or 3 plants I would have to do it
I normally hate LST. So I just prune them off brother. Your plants are very healthy and don’t look like they’ll become shocked or have any issues with a little trim again. However, you might benefit more from the LST and just moving them out of the way.
We have an old outdoor unit and our frozen up yesterday it was working so hard all day long it had chunks of ice in it and quit putting out cold air lol I had to turn it off all night just got turned back on around 10 after it defrosted lol I’d never seen that before lol
Only thing I have with in an hour and a half from me is Walmart Lowe’s tractor supply and rural king and a local farm supply the local place usually cares the fox farm calmag but they was all out and I figured tractor supply or rarul king would have some form of it but they was out too so I went by Lowe’s and Walmart as a kinda Hail Mary but crapped out there too so I just ended up ordering online I’m paying about $5 more then I would at the local place but it’s hard to say when they would be back in stock but good news they are going to start carrying black kow (manure compost) again I love mixing that stuff in with the soil I use and for like the 1st month to month and a half I have to use any nutes and they explode I really think that cow compost is the trick
So you don’t think I should try and top them again at that spot the are at least 3 nodes, working on the 4th high. And they are 4 of them boys n each plant?
Tbh you actually might benefit more from the topping. Especially being you just fed her, so she may just take to it and grow quickly
I might try at least one of them like that. I’ve got to do some lower pruning too it’s getting busy down there with no real growth and I’m sure it could benefit the airflow kinda do a mini lollipop but not got crazy
With the results you get I guess you’ve proved that. Yeah thought they looked like you had used a little lst but that’s awesome
I've got some FF organic CalMag on the shelf right now. I can't use it with my current line up because its organic. It clogs the lines. I'd give it to you had you now already ordered some.
Dude I can’t believe how hard it was to find cal mag here and a couple places have always had it in the past I guess prices the way they are more ppl starting gardens
Thanks. Im like a bull though I get my mind set on something I just charge forward without thinking lol
The 4th is my daughters Birthday so I won’t be posting or active to much this weekend. I’ll get to what I’ve done to the plants but 1st ppl have asked me what I’m using on these and I posted picks I use the fox farm trio line of grow bigg, big bloom and tiger bloom ( next post I’ll show the feeding chart I use and how I changed it to fit me and my plants) the fox farm sledge hammer is for flushing and salt build up and the fox farms cultivation nation is my cal mag but i usually don’t have to use it until close to flower and a little bit through flower. And the soap is for bugs and works damn good also the sticky traps is for bugs and works great. I’m working on a new YouTube channel instead of posting this with my gaming and story time content and will will be just about my journey through growing but right now you can chk out my content on here and on YouTube it’s under ZeroLifeSkillz on tiktok and instagram it’s ZeroLifeSkills with an s and also on instagram I have Mick4Leaf any support on these channels would be much appreciated ok for the rest of it I lightly watered due to the heat (chk water notes) due to the LST 4 of the new top colas that grown in was out pacing the other tops so on two of the plants i topped (3rd) this colas that are out pacing the others and on the other 2 big ones I just trimmed the top leaves on those colas to allow slower growth to let the others catch up. If they do this again I might have to introduce a trellis net but we will see. If we don’t get the big rains by sun I’m going to flush the soil with the sledgehammer and then the 2nd watering just plan water and water until I get run off. When I start back give them a full feeding of all three and introduce some cal mag a little each week until flower
Today I’m only going to put the girls in shade from 3:30 to 5:30 where the temp will be higher then 92 with high humidity
The fox farm trio was 40 bucks for all 3 together the sledgehammer was $10 and the cal mag was 16 online but I can usually get it around $12
Starting to get some upward movement in the plant so might get to the pre flower growth if that’s the case my est of flower in a month might be really close. Ok they are in bad need of a trim and/or some tucking and lst but this is the week I’m flushing so the plan is to tonight water with sledgehammer then in 2 to 3 water till run off with just water and in 2 to 3 days after that start back with nutes and trim and train then Performed watering chk out watering notes temps are starting to back under 90 and humidity while still high are coming down to some good levels it was supposed to start raining Friday but so far has passed us by but the apps says there is still a good chance for the rest of the week and I hope we see some of it
Next to the last one is the one that got stunted just a couple of weeks in but i chose to keep it and see what it would do
Cool.. they look great bro! You're right on top of them and it shows. Can't wait to see how they bud.
Me too. And this season has really helped me get out and move around more. (I got in injured at work and the a few years after that had to have heart surgery all by the time I was 35 so my health ain’t the best but this has helped out a ton.
Damn bro.. weed ain't just about the medicine you get from smoking it. It's good for you to grow and learn, and just enjoy. It's a beautiful process. I haven't had any bad health issues.. frankly I'm almost waiting for something to go bad. Lol. Not getting any younger. But the grow is what makes me happy. So I definitely know what you mean!
That’s what I tell my brother it’s the ritual of it all the process everything from breaking out my tools and getting my hand dirty growing to breaking out my plates and grinder and papers and trying to roll a great joint it’s the process the ritual of doing it that just as beneficial as the meds itself
Yep.. I spme a lot of time sitting at my table with them. Listen to music, smoke, and just be with em.
Water 2.5 liters
Mixed with
Nutes. 2ml of fox farm cultivation nation sledge hammer for flushing
There was a lot of cloud cover and temp drop so I went ahead and finished watering since prob rain tomorrow and noticed on one plant some yellow leaves around the bottom of plant so may start nutes back in about 4 days and may have to up the amount I’m giving or feed more often last post has the nutes and stuff I use
I didn’t think I would have a garden this year so I went in unprepared and only had small pots but I’ve got some 10 and 15 gal grow bags ordered for next year
I trimmed and defol. The ladies today. one (the one I’m not doing any Lst) I just trimmed the big fan leaves and damaged leaves and any leaf that was blocking a bud site that couldn’t be tucked. Two of them I kind of do a weak lollipop wear take off anything from one quarter to one third of the bottom that this includes any branches that does grow up to at least half the height of the plant I also get rid of any big fan leaves and damaged leaves and any leaf that can’t be tucked I also separate and make open and airy and move any branches that grow up to fill in the center I move and tie into place the best place to fill in the center and leave a nice rounded canopy and another I did the same thing as these two but I took a little more off the bottom. And another one I trimmed a lot of it this one is kind of an experiment it’s been defoliated a lot and spears out to make a nice rounded canopy and prob have to do some more training after a couple of days
To I watered slightly of the morning about 2 or so per planted so it wouldn’t dry out mid day in the heat around 5 there was a big rain and prob gave more then I would have normally watered so I’m calling this the last watering in the flush so around Wednesday or Thursday I can start back with the nutes and add in cal mag we should be around 1 month from pre-flower to flower give or take so prob give one more spray of bug soap and new set of sticky traps
That’s cool you mentioned that so my goal with 3 of the plants is try to get maximum amount of sunlight and airflow throughout the plant I’m trying make sure each node or bud site is getting sun penetration down to it and the airflow isn’t just good for keeping thing dry it strengthening the main stock but when you pull those main tops back what was the secondary stems grow in and become top colas too but if you leave them alone they will lay up against other parts and not form a strong stem so airflow helps with and if I need to I’ll use a little wire and pull them into an open spot and in a couple of weeks they will form that knot near the base and harden throughout just like the main stems and tops I have one that I’m pretty much leaving along and one where it’s kinda of a mix between the two but for the most part thus is the method I went with this year
lol sorry for the book but I get excited talking about this stuff but your next grow try it with just one of your plants and see how it does. Where you got those big grow bags or straight into the soil it should work great
Looks nicely opened up now — good work keeping that canopy manageable
Haha for real — therapeutic is a good way to put it 🤙
Today would have been the perfect day to start back on nutes but cal mag didn’t come yesterday but now it’s supposed to come tomorrow so I just gave the plants around 1 liter of water just enough to keep the soil wet and probably dry back out by tomorrow evening that’s when I’ll start them back on the fox farm trio set I have plus cal mag and feed til run off for the 1st feeding after the flush then in between that and next feeding I’m going to top the pots off with soil
I’ve got 4 that has done great and two started getting stunted and one pulled back and looks good now but looks like it’s about a week or two behind the others and the last one got full blown stunted and while it looks ok now it far behind and prob won’t do much but I’m growing it just to see what happens
With the sun to the east and the leaves pointing in that direction i thought it would be a good time to get a couple of side view pic to show how much i took off and how i separated and pulled everything into place and they are still growing pretty good so hopefully some of those stems can thicken up to support the buds better and the nodes can start to fill in more on the middle of the plant.
TODAY IS FEEDING DAY: the cal mag is out for delivery and with as hot as it’s been i think the top soil should be pretty dry by this evening so I’ll will do a full feeding this afternoon and mark it for tomorrow and after I flushed the soil these girls should be pretty thirsty so I’m going to feed/water till run off and give
Fox farms:
Big bloom: 15ml
Grow bigg: 10ml
Tiger bloom: 10ml
Cultivation nation Cal mag: 7ml (then it’s 5ml every feeding after for 5 weeks) but I’ll give more on feeding tomorrow after I’ve done it.
I’m probably not the best to ask. This is the first year I’ve tried a regular feeding schedule. But with that said I think it works pretty good. I’ve learned a few things since I started so next year I think I could get a little better results but it’s simple they give you a feeding schedule and a couple of guideline mix that with just some basic knowledge about leaf signs and a person can get some really good results. It’s cheaper then some of the nutes I’ve seen out there especially if you get their bundles but they aren’t the cheapest by far I would safe they are cheap for a name brand if that makes sense but I’m happy enough to try them again next year
The ladies look great! And I see that lollipopping you got going there! Great job man they look happy!
Can’t wait I bought some smaller mason jars and two really big ones and bought a 12 pack of hydrometer for curing that way I can leave the two big ones to cure for a month or two and the small ones I can just get into as I run out and the rest can keep curing
Thanks man has hot as it’s been I’m worried about dog days but if we get through that should be smooth selling I need to get a tarp for when it rains a lot after blooming
I have mine growing in my greenhouse. I pulled the cover for the grow and when it rains I'll just pop the cover right back on
No you are well I mean do you see a difference in the growth the size of the leaf the trunk fatter leaf greener
Yes the trucks bulked up and seen quicker root growth and yes I had some fan leafs that are as big as my hands and I got Huge hands and other then during that heat they have stayed lime green that’s the biggest change I’ve seen how consistent the color has stayed a healthy green and how bushy they get especially after trimming
I love growing outdoors but im in mid build of my indoor grow shed. It's really close to being done. Definitely going to be ready for harvest season for the dry and cure this year then I'll be starting a winter indoor grow! Can't wait to start that!
I tried it because I had seen it on something I was watching and they had videos on how to use it and feeding charts I use to see how I might use it too
Before that it was really all about the soil we gave a little bit of fertilizer about a month into it and again right at the beginning of flower other then that just add some manure to it and let it grow hell after the 2nd top we would leave it alone until flower and only chk once a month until close to harvest but we might have 5 or 6 places and around 100 plus plants each season
To be honest it’s been a few years since I’ve grown like that but it’s a different way of growing then this style. We used to do it to have a little bit of smoke and some extra (I live I. A poor place you do what you can, from growing smoke to selling yellow root lol) and the last several years I’ve helped my brother and a few times helped a friend but I’ve not had my own grow in over 10 years that’s why I was so excited about this one I would love to get a micro dispensary card when they start that here that pretty much you grow you own stuff and the whole process is down by you down to the dispensary it’s a way for ppl in small pour communities to start a business and you can treat it like a mom and pop operation where ppl can come and see how you do everything of they can just come and get their smoke that would be the dream one day
Plus getting a dispensary license is like 60 to 80 k a year starting next year where as if you meet all the qualifications a micro dispensary is like $400
Yeah I get it all depends were you live but now we have technology lol walmart is would be your closest and best to hydroponic store now do
I feed the girls yesterday evening and the week prior I was flushing one cycle just plain water and the other with sledgehammer (see previous notes) last night I feed the girls their 1st feeding since the flush (see feeding notes for details) it also had a sleight rain shortly after that might have gave the plants another .5 litters and this morning I woke up to them grown a possible 1 to 2 and leaving blooming from nodes. The plants look very lively and healthy. Can’t wait to see what the rest of the week brings.
We are still looking for around another month before flowering at least but been watching the nodes for the pistolas (I’m pretty sure I spelled that wrong) I added a short video from ground lvl to show what the under canopy looks like on a few of them.
Beautiful! Dude.. they are really looking proud! Love that gorgeous Va terrain. Can almost see the mountains. I'm right at the edge of the Blue ridge mountains. But not close enough! Don't you live how they respond after a flush?
Ill post a couple of pic around this area it’s a beautiful place, but I’ve always found the blue ridge parkway area nice I’ve only seen a couple of places out that way. And yes they just seem to come alive again after that
I'm right at the sc, nc border closer to Tn. I can see them in the distance on a clear day, but we just don't haveuch down here. You sound like your out in seng country. I may move up there some day. I think the company I just accepted a job with has locations in Va.
That yellow root grow a lot around here and there ain’t a ton of ppl hunting like they use to be so you can find some really good spots and dry land fish man you can eat your fill at the 1st of spring
Almost all the plants grew 3 inches from one morning to the next including the little stunted one there is no pistil hairs yet so this is veg growth I think happened from a combination of things 1st the flush of the soil, then the feeding with cal mag, then some rain water (just a little bit here and there), and finally I twisted the pots 180 degrees to face the light differently. And the girls loved this combo and rewarded me in an awesome way. I’m not doing anything today but tomorrow I’m putting more soil around the base of plants and then either that day or the next another feeding that will be 3 to 4 days since last water and I’m feeding twice a week right now.
I’m having a blast, I wish I could get a tent set up soon so I can start on autos and flipping photos
Yeah I can’t wait for the stretch, I’m really ready for the flower cycle now (I mean don’t get me wrong I’ll let em grow as much as they can in veg right now) but I’m ready to start focusing on the buds lol
I just bought them insted using those wires try training plant clips I will post them up a little later so you could seee
Ok I thought I was weird for this because when I researched most of the ppl said to feed after a rain but I messed up and wasn’t watching and feed before a rain and my girl ballooned so I would try to feed before a rain when I could. My girls love that rain water so the rain water with nutes is a killer combo I even try to schedule my flushes around a couple of rainy days so they at least get the rain water while the nutes are being flushed
So I try to post everyday I can but sometimes I didn’t do much that day. So i figured I would take time and mention things I do and why I do them.
Flushing the soil - there are a few reason to flush the soil but so far for me in this grow it’s been preemptive maintenance.
The nutes I use are salt based and salt build up in the soil can wreak havoc on your plant possibly killing them. You can flush your soil with just water but I used fox farms sledgehammer it helps clear salt and nutrients build up which can also be harmful to your plants. One of my post with flush in the title has notes on what I did. You won’t have to do this much if you plant directly into the ground but if your using pots i recommend flushing around once every 3 to 4 weeks.
I start my flush on the next day I would normally feed the girls with 10 ml of sledgehammer to a gal and water til runoff. Thus knocks away the nutes and salt build up then I wait for the soil to dry about 2 inches deep or so and flush again with ph balanced water only, this allows for a restart or fresh start, for me this this is the key to a good flush then the next time top 1 inch is dry and you would water and feed again start feeding you plant at half strength if it’s early in the grow or you can go back to regular feeding if the plants have been growing for a bit.
After the 1st feeding back this is a good time to do any high stress training like cropping or topping or defoliation since the plant will be fresh and fed. Don’t do something just because. know the reason why your doing it and how it helps. Research is your friend.
I hope this helps for those of you that had questions and if you got any questions feel free to ask. I’m no expert by far but love to help when I can.
I would like to challenge everyone to post something they do they think really helps and mention how and why you do it.
Amen brother glassy, we need a calendar shoot of guides sexiest ladies I want sept, I’m a Virgo anyways lol
Thank you for the breakdown. I think I might try your method on my next grow. I tried to flush at least two weeks before harvest but I wanna try to avoid that salt buildup since some of the nutes I use also have that.
I really does helps as a preventative or if you got problems with ph or nute/salt build up. I was looking on the fox farm site they also have their doctor line let’s say if you have a problem with a root disease or something like that the have something for it. And it seems to be reviewed good on those products
1st let me say the girls are continuing to grow a few inches each day I think we are in the pre flower stage or close to it, a few of them are already for another hair cut aka trimming or tucking.
LST stands for low stress training abd is an easy way get your plant more sunlight and air to where it’s needed you use clips or wire/rope to pull and separate the limbs and tops so there is good airflow into the plant and all the bud sites/nodes get direct sunlight but there is a bonus when doing this, there’s not much left in the center so the side or lateral branches can now grow into the center creating more tops which leads to them producing like top colas this is usually helped along by lolipopping or some form of defoliation at the bottom 1/4 to 1/3 of the plant so the girls aren’t putting energy to bud sites they come out looking like Tijuana smalls and puts that energy to the tops
I’m no expert but I’ve had a lot of questions on how and why I do LST. If you got anymore or would like a video series on my grow and research from seed to ash let me know it’s an idea I’ve been thinking about if ppl are interested.
Looking really good!! They all have a really nice color, pretty leaves. Not seeing anything here but smooth sailing!
Fuggin gorgeous 👌🏻 have you ever transplanted them straight into the soil? I can only imagine how much more massive they would be if so considering the pot sizes here aren't crazy big but still producing bushes 😍 great grow, can't wait to see them budding up soooon! 🔥
“…. Not to much and not little just enough to make me grin.” 🎼🎼🎶🎵🤣😝😎
The girls about to over grow their fence 😝 great problem to have 😝
I performed a water and feeding (chk out the notes)
I sprayed insecticidal soap might be the chance I get before flower)
I still need to put on sticky traps and top off the soil.
But most of all I need to do a little more LST and make me stakes in case I need support with a trellis net or rope
Dude I’m out there every morning looking for pistils when I know it’s still probably another month lol if I had a tent I would have probably already flipped them
I can see that, I think no mater what I’ll always have an outdoor grow. But it would nice to do some autos or flipping even just to have a few different kinds here and there when I grow outdoors I legally can have only four plants at a time so either have to break the law or only do that and try to get enough that will last the year. They really need to think about these laws again
There is a 4 plant limit here if you mind your stuff you can get by with a few more but really anymore then that you have to do indoor or out in the woods
I got to put in some real work over the next couple of days (so some of you already know I have a lot of health issues and I’m disabled from work so I have to just do a little bit here and there.)
1st the ladies are getting to big for their there fenced in area and they are even in stretch yet, and u still have some LST to do so they will get wider as well as taller.
But thankfully this fencing I got is super easy to move so I’m going to widen them and try make two rows of three so that the next thing I have to do will work great with this
2nd I need to set up do high stakes or drive some sticks in the ground if I have the rows then I can set up six on the row and either set up a trellis net or run a few line through the plants and any branches getting to tall for their own Britches I can just leash it to the line for support.
3rd I need to add soil to the pots build up a mound around the base of the stock and then do some trimming or LST work the are getting bushy again and need to get light and air back to the center of the plant to maximize bud sites getting direct sun and take off any lower third veg that grew back.
Dud I’m really thinking about doing a green house like those $100 ones from amazon get the short one and make it where I can cover in black plastic for the winter add some lights and a heater and a vent and I could have a row of autos on one side and a row of photos on the other and only cost me the price of an extra light in comparison to a vivosun 4x4 tent kit
Thanks man, these girls are tuff I keep pulling them apart and they keep offering up more colas (bud sites) lol
I'll be honest with you if you want the top shelf indoor it's were its at cause your basically the weather you could control everything versus outside you gotta prey lol
I’ll get there, as long as I can get a good light I’ll put up plastic until I get a tent and hook up a squirrel cage from an ac unit for ventilation until I get the right equipment if I have too lol
The girls are getting real bushy and not getting much light penetration or airflow into the center of the plant so I moved some of the training wire to spread out the main leaders and then using the wire to pull the lat. breaches (which now are growing like top colas) into the opened parts that had just been created this gave the plants a nice spread and even spacing for the air and light to get in to the nodes further down while giving the top colas direct light and the better airflow mixed with working against resistance from the wire will help thickening the branches and making knots and the connections.
I’m going to stop the tiger bloom nutes until see hairs or know I’m a week into the stretch. The mix I have as been great all around I can tell it’s got strong roots the main stock is bigger then two fingers wide. It’s got a lot of leaf growth and a good color.
I took down the fence and spread out the post and re wrapped the fence give more room for the girls to get bushier. I still need to add some post for netting or whatever. But I’m happy with the space for now. I added some bells to fence so if something touches the fence those bells will ring and hopefully scare anything off I used those fishing bells that has clips on them to clip to your pole to know when you get a bite lol.
Oh yes they love to drink in this July heat! Yesterday was 103 here and I watered my ladies Monday just in time to hit the heat waive!
Dog days here usually run from mid July to mid Aug and can get pretty brutal sometimes. It gets so hot and humid here it’s said snakes go blind and wounds heal slow lol crazy if it wasn’t for this one month period it would prob be perfect but the Appalachian Mountains is considered a rainforest lol
They are low ... And mean. They get more air than you think. But... You're there with em. So you know more than we do. From where I'm standing.. fucking bravo!!
Fed and water them last night, chk the notes for details. The have responded great to the work we have done this last week from the flush to the LST to the feeding.
I tried to give the leaders even spacing and in just 2 days they have filled out the space perfectly leaving a beautiful rounded canopy
1 of the plants I counted 32 tops that are prime and in direct sunlight and should turn into great top colas . Still need to get something set up for support in case it’s needed
Hopefully it won’t be much longer, by the end of the month middle of the next month and that will give me at least 2 and half months in bloom before frost
Yeah I wish I would have had bigger pots to put them in but I ordered some 15 gal bags for next year, yeah I was hoping for them to be a little taller by this point but that’s all on me I was prepared this year. All the LST I’m doing from here on is just to keep the branches separated so it gets some good air flow and sunlight but I’ve one did 3 of them like that. As for the bloom the day light hours here doesn’t get under 15 hours til the end of June and 14.5 hours mid Aug so with twilight and sunset the usually go into flower from mid July to mid Aug sometimes late Aug but not much so I’m guess in that mid July to mid Aug time frame but I’m hoping I miss the worse parts of dog days
Most of my pics are on the canopy (it’s where I spend a lot of time during veg. So here are some pics straight on in profile so you can see the structure I built.
If you notice on the pics I’ve done as much as I can tying to the pot. So I’m going to run up to the sawmill and see if they have some cut offs so I can build a system to either run a net through them or at least a couple of support lines and just tie to that. I’ll get some pics and make *side post to show what I’m doing.
I’ve got two of them showing the white pistils and no pollen sacs. Yay I’ll flip the post on here to flower when half of them are in flower but from the looks of it they are all going to be female but only time will tell for sure. But I’m happy as fuck right now. And feel blessed to grow these right in my yard so I can watch the process all the way through.
I added some soil so I didn’t do any nutes today I watered and going to see how they react to the fresh soil then I’ll feed. And the ones in flower are going back to feeding twice a week and after the stretch I’m dropping the grow big nutes and keeping the rest including cal mag for another month and a half. Let’s go! And pray for a fat harvest.
I have to get supports up this week
Fed and watered chk notes for details.
3 our 6 of the plants have shown white pistil hairs and started flowering, the other 3 look close to flower.
Gotta go back to sawmill tomorrow to get wood.
Looking good brother
So I’m curious how you guys do this app when do you say your in flower because when you see the white hairs tech their in bloom but I was always told don’t count your 1st week of flower until you see buds forming so how do you guys do it when it comes to this app how do you do it? And do you count your 1st week the same way?
With the question out of the way all I did today was give a gal of water to each plant I gathered up some boards which should be good enough to make something I can add a net to if I want while also being tall enough to throw a tarp over it’s raining a lot
Tbh I was told when you see pistils. And you really get the smells, but tbh I feel like it’s a topic we growers focus on so much lol.
It’s prob an old timer thing since that’s who tought me, but they always told me the white hairs mean it’s in flower but you can’t count your 1st week done until you see buds forming lol it’s probably just something they come up with lol
Yep, my grandfather let me know that aha. He did include you can or don’t have to count first week. Either way it will still be around the same stage a week from flower
She got some smells I have an acre of land and the plants are on one end and my wife went walking the other day and before she reached our property on the other end of the yard she said she could smell it lol
That’s cool you got to do that with your grand dad I use to hang out with the older guys back in the day and some where really good at growing and I learned a lot. But only thing close to this I learned from my family was moonshine and I don’t mind to have a shot here and there but I’m not a big drinker
lol while I’m having me a glass a whiskey right now brother 🤣 But honestly it’s not true or false, to do IMO. Either way is correct. If I see a baby pistil, then I am definitely going to wait to say it’s flowering. If it’s sizable, oh yea she’s flowering. The smell will let you know
Naw it’s good to learn and talking about it what we need to do as growers is expand what we are talking about to be more then just that like reading leaves or root production, the entourage effect stuff like that need to be discussed more too
Chk notes for watering details.
I switch from veg to flower on app because half of my crop is in flower showing white pistils everywhere. That makes 4 in flower and 1 should start soon from the looks of her and the last one is showing some white pistils but has be concerned so I’m giving it this week to show me if it’s going to hermie or just be plain male. If it does tho 5 out of six ain’t bad.
The last pick is showing some signs of yellowing from the top. My guess is either lock out due to ph imbalance (I’ll have to wait til Friday to get some more test strips) or nutrients deficiency which I just fed a day or two ago so we will have to see how she reacts to that. I think this was brought on either by the flush or the type of small pot I’m using. But this is the one that got stunted early on and it’s the real short one in the pics so she has gave me trouble through out. But while get it right again
Had a plant tip over on me. Luckily didn’t look like it had been there long. They are getting too heavy. I got the wood to make something to tie my nets too and possibly put a cover over them for those extra rainy days. But wont have the screws until Friday so hope they hold up until then. They need a net bad a couple of tops running wild.
I posted some picks of the white pistils and bud sites and put up a video show where the one tipped over l.
Put some heavy rock in the bottoms in the medium like soul or coco n through just enough fat rocks to hold the weight down.
I took a stake and drove it in the grown and tied it to it for now this weekend I’m going to build something more
Sorry about he storms that's the only crappy thing about out side is the unexpected, but yr golden no prob from that.
Yeah and I’ll eventually get a better set up out there the goal is to get a tent for indoor and a sone raised beds and green house for outdoors and grow autos during the winter
Thanks I just need to make it a few more months and maybe we will have a couple of pounds to hold over for a min
I hate it when they take a beating. They come back though. As long as they have someone to deal with the husbandry issues. They come back. It's not all mothe nature!
Yeah I got sick day before yesterday and could water until 3pm and they was dry and dropping but I got them fed and watered and they look brand new today
One of my cuttings from the other plants is starting to show white hairs but I’m going to let it go and see what it does
The small plant has got her color back
I have the wood and screws and line to build support net and a tent for rain.
The plants are stretching good and ready for supports.
They some thirsty girls, soaking up to 2 gals a day.
The girls are producing a lot of white hairs (some looking like they may turn red) and they are starting to form the base for buds but two are being real slow with one not really stretching that much the rest are chest to neck high while the one is a little above waist high. But she has the white hairs and plenty of top cola bub sites.
The really like the feeding but I may have to up the feeding a bit until we get past the stretch maybe give them 1.5 gal of the feed instead of one.
Once we are past the stretch I can drop the grow bigg nutes and only give big bloom and tiger bloom for the remainder also after the stretch I’m going to flush one more time until the final flush but I’m only going to use the sledgehammer on the two in the really small pots.
So far everything is look good and hope to start see small buds by around Friday or around a week from there then hopefully they will take off from there.
I building the supports this weekend so wish me luck on that.
I had to chuck him a few more appeared today in a cluster and confirmed it. All hope is gone 😂 but I took some pics of the root ball i thought was cool and man those roots where tight it took me 15 min just to break it up like this lol
Yeah it sucks but I think most ppl would freak out if they spent 11 weeks with a girl only to find out on week 12 she was a he lol
Lol!! Thats hilarious bro! And yes, I felt the same way when mine flipped. They were huge lush, green and full of life and over night they exploded with seed pods!!
Facts, my thoughts exactly for mine. Hey check out my you tube page. I posted a video on flower boosters. Tell your thoughts? Too long? Boring? Too much info? Your honest opinion.
They look great
Thanks man this is my 1st solo grow in probably 10 to 15 year back before it was legal in va and we did things differently (but not alway better lol)
I feel like I’m learn all over again with most of it
Gotta love it now that its legal to grow your own!
Dude it truly is now I can go out in my yard when before I would be on a four wheeler for 45 minutes and then walk another 30 before I got to them and if it was dry and needed to water them then wow talk about a work out we didn’t use much nutrients less it looked kind of weak. We mostly just mixed horse maneuver in with the dirt in the soil and let it compost for a year and use that.
Yea no shit lol! I built my own living soil this year. All organic no synthetic nuits at all! Im feeding the soil, not the plant
😆that’s what I want to get back to but I’m using fox farms this year but I started a compost pile and horse shit compost pile and I have a pile of wood chips that’s been seasoning for a few years a local tree company brought me a few loads that was just poplar and curly maple chips I was going to ad it a kind of airy medium
That's perfect, I am trying a couple compost tumbling bins that I got but it just don't hold enough soil. I don't have room for a big compost pile like I want
If you own a small garden tiller then what I do is use that to chern it up but I live back in the boonies deep Appalachia and land is plentiful but the area is uber poor I have about 2 acres and my brother about the same and able to do a few things like that
That's amazing! I used to live in the country now im in town and I hate neighbors!
I think that’s what would get me too I would like to be closer to things until I think about all the freedoms I have here but if it was up to my wife we would be live in a little yard in a busy city so she could be closer to belk lol
It has its perks for sure. But we lived in the country for 15yrs. Moved into the city and used to be as loud as we want or as quiet as we want. One of my fucking neighbors calls the damn cops on us almost every weekend because we love our music!

I know I would be getting in trouble the same way playing my guitar to loud or have music blasting when friends are over
We about left a couple of years ago when i came into some money but now i reckon i will die here now 😝
Stay where you're at! So you're in the Appalachian mountains? My wife's dad's family are from there
Yep born and raised I’m from the southwest part of Virginia it’s a beautiful place just a poor place we lucked up and got a remote job
Gotta love that, I would love to be in Mendocino County or Humbolt area and grow a big ass weed farm!
That’s a place I would move to the Emerald triangle but you I’ve wondered in blue ridge area to central Va would be a really good place to grow (not as good as Ca but.. you know)
