Grow Timeline (25 updates)
1st attempt at growing cannabis, planting 2x Royal Moby strain from SeedsGenetics BR and a unknown strain seed also. No experience, using a lot of AI to learn some, also using this app to do so. The challange will be administrating the 50x80x160cm space for them 3, will see how it goes.
Watered them 01/12, bigger moby was leaning to the side, tried to correct with a little pressure with the soil, maybe the little metal thing will do the job. Summer is getting strong, looking for ways to cool them when the peak hits.
Happy Birthday Pun Dim Jah the must high sending many blessing brother
Thank you my bro, many blessings for us!!
She seem to droop from yesterday night to today's morning, also cotyledons are yellowing, fear that the soil is compact and poor as that is the seed i grew on my garden's soil that is probably retaining the water i poured till runnof 01/12. Unfortunately my living soil will take 1 week to get to me. I also fear the heat, she suffering probably about 2-3 hours under 30ºc+ from morning time till 13o'clock when starts the dark period of 6hrs. Its been some days she looks growthstunned, completing 13 days today. Any help/suggestions are very welcome! Help a newbie out hahaha
Turns out the led painel i was using was completely fake slop... Too little light and too much heat, commom mistakes for a first i guess. 2 days ago put them outdoor, just till i get new decent lights. Unknown strain gone as i thought it would, but it saddened me to get home from work and see the little one like that... May have overwatered, don't know what have happened to that one. The Moby #1 is now giving me concern, she is 13 days old, has its stem weak, to the point of dropping to the side. My only wish is that this tutoring works.
Anxious for my Terrô Super soil to get here, will already start different (better i hope) with the new 2 photoperiodic Royal Mobys. The light i probably will get is the Master Plants 120w lm283b.
Still keeping her indoor in the dark period, also have to find a way to evade insects soon.
Viperspectra or melomfarmer 70 watts been keeping my 2x2 going it's about 40 bucks on Amazon
Live in Brazil, would have to pay 2x the price for any of those... Will try the masterplants 120w lm283b, i think will do the job for my 50x80..
Look into what diodes they are using. Watch some Migro videos. He is a light manufacturer that has done reviews on probably hundreds of different light. He’s who I watched before I bought my first light (mars hydro)
Yes, and that is the thing, it doesnt specify nothing, just says full spectrum 100w, even the trademark seems to not exist.
I looked at the master plants lights. I don’t speak Portuguese but if this is the light you are looking at I think it would be good. It’s made with Samsung leds which are the best on the market. https://masterplantsloja.com.br/products/painel-led-120w-quantum-pro-mid

Yes! I will get that one, seems good indeed, it is more expensive but that is the way unfortunately
For the quality of light, converted to US dollars that seems to be a decent price. And it will make a huge difference in your grow.
It is indeed, and it is at discount price too, cant wait to bring ot home :D
I’m excited for you lol
Thanks man! :D much love
Seems to be coming along nicely, although kinda slow when i compare to other plants the same days age (2 weeks), could be genetics, but my guess is the heat she is under during light time. Still not watered since 01/12, very good retaining soil, waiting for dehydration signs to water her, maybe in the following days. More soil incoming for the 2 Mobys left. I leave her in the sun from 6:00, and about 18:30 she goes back into light till 00:00. Summer kicking hot right now in Brasil and im still using the 100w poor leds until next month i guess... meaning they will still suffer a little bit from hot and humid enviroment, coming spicy i bet! Ill have to upgrade exhaustion too, 43cfm(out) and 31cfm(in) seems to not suffice for a 0,4m².
Your good it looks fine as long as it isn't a auto no worries. Lol id be growing outside if it was that nice here right now 😔
A photop. that one is. I wish i could, but i got too many nosy neighbours :/
Where are you from? Too cold there?
And do you know if its normal for the base of the stem to be thinner than the stem after the first knot?
Send me picture in private
Still keeping her most of sun-time outdoors, and into light from 6:00 to 08:30 then 18:30 to 00:00. AI is telling me to top it, and i asked multiple times with different prompts to confirm if its time, and it tells me to do 'VERY SOON', so idk, probably going to do it tomorrow... the other 2 popped out, kept in a mix of long cut coconut fiber and a little soil, under a umidity dome.
After the 4th or 5th node is perfect
Topped 16/12, waiting for 2 main stems, i see 3 growth spots, could it be 3 main stems? The leaves are darker, i think is a genetic trait from what ive seen. Right now she's 24 days old and 16cm tall, a little smaller than the ones of the same strain ive seen on youtube, not too good of a setup tho. Lost the 2 seedlings, dont know the atual cause, they popped, the next day they were laying down, tried do correct, but to no avail. Thinking about watering today or tomorrow, also dont know if i should already defoliate.
Since my last post she has been under a lot of heat stress, with a large part of the days over 30º celsius, getting to 35 at the peak of day. There has been some yellowing in some lower leaves. Will transplant her today to a 25l vase. Also (for it is a living soil) started adding a lind of aerated tea for the last 3 waterings, using Leon Trich, Azospirrillum Brasilense and molasses. Waiting to use micorrizas in the transplant and bio grow after.
A friend (who has the same Royal Moby seeds as i) had to flip some other plants he got in his tent, so he left this one to veg in my setup. It is very different than mine tho, he was using a mineral setup, but the soil is oh so bad, too sandy and rocky, stiff as a rock... She seem to have stretched, but the internodes seem to be stuck in this size, will try to transplant her in some days, will see how it goes. If you guys have any ideas for what is happening, or how should i operate based on how she looks, it is my first cycle, so the experience is lacking still... Am doing just a little but of water each 2 days, for its lower part of the vase is saturated with water, but from the middle up it gets dry as bone.
Each strain has different pheno types that show different expressions.
Both seeds from the same pack tho!
It the same principle as brothers or sisters that don’t look alike . Every seed can have different characteristics doesn’t matter if it comes from same seed pack
Oh, it makes sense.. Thx so much! What about her health tho, what could be happening?
Probably root bound
Some days ago i replanted the smaller one, which was in bad soil, to a 7l vase of living soil with micorrizeae. Spotted this insect leaving eggs on a leaf, already operated. Bigger moby seem to already want to flip, but i will stay her till the other one get bigger, maybe for 2 months more. Dont know if i should defoliate a little harder now, for it is blocking some light to new nodes appearing, nor if ii should lollipop the lower branches for i think they will not be able to get high enough for the scrog.
No real good pics showing the difference in height... But you can always run 2 trellis. Use one to keep the taller one in check by tucking in weaving now, as the other catches up and then when heights are equal set the 2nd trellis to the current height your aiming for.
Yeah, will post a better pic, those were more for the change in soil and pests... But yeah the thing is the taller one is the younger, and i think to flip them in about 2 months (when where i live is not about 30º everyday xD). Will post them side by side, and topwise.
You can also LST/HST the tall one to bring her down to a more manageable level. Fimming works to slow down aggressive growth as well.
And yeah, also spent the week thinking about lst and hst for the newer, but it seems to me that the branches are too thin and short as of yet, but will put some strings for sure
She got topped before coming to me, mine i did the fim top, and it responded well indeed. You mean to leave this trellis were it is and putting another one higher? Or lower this one?

Cool deal, well good luck, just time, upkeep and patience at this point. All part of the learning process. These plants are resilient, so don't be afraid to try what makes sense.
Thank you my friend, much love <3 Hail from BR /,,/
It has been about 2 weeks since ive added anything other than water. For todays watering i aerated for 24hrs 2.8l of water (600ml for 7l vase, and 2.2l for the 25l) with BioGrow, Leon Trich and Azospirillum Brasilense, along with a "tea bag" of living soil for its humus. The younger one is a stretcher for sure, will be putting 2nd scrog tomorrow, in a week i bet she will be there already... May have to elevate the older one, from wich i will be taking clones for the illustrous MrGanja to take care of while i flip these 2 adorable girls. Noticed for some time a purpling of some leaf stems and in the main branches too, should i worry? Will search about that today.
Elevated the older one to match the advancing canopy of the younger, already put the other trelis for i believe in a few days at least this younger one will be over it already. Its not even beem two days since i watered and fed with the biogrow, azospirillum and leon trich, and damn, they are racing! Im a little worried about the flipping time, i would if i could do it now, but it is still too hot over here, like today is 32ºc.... Hope i can manage their height, else i will have to find a way to put the light very close to the ceiling, will not be mad if they want to grow a lot tho xD
At 21/02 (2 days ago) i added the pre-bloom kit from Zion Farm, with a layer of worm castings under it and watered with a aerated worm casting tea with molasses. Also took the clones from the bottom of the plants, 4 of the bushier, 1 of the lankier, will be posting the clones right after this post.
The clones ive taken from the plants bottom, going for the 3rd day today, keeping them under these plastic cups with water sprayed in it, opening 2 times a day to spray more water (it has holes in the images, but i changed to one without, for it was drying fast)... If anyone has tips to improve their condicions, i'd highly aprecciate.
Did a big defoliation, ended cycle of metharizium and flipped them to flower at 28/02, just from a darkness cycle it already gave a pretty visible jump, excitex for the next weeks.. Watered 01/03 with declorated water mix with a little aloe vera, in a week or two ill incorporate a FFJ as a little feed along with the other stuff i got.
Hey guys, after im done with this photoperiod cycle i want to try out some autos till september so i can grow a photo again. Have you guys gotten seeds from any of those banks? What genetics do you reccomend? (Preferencially those that can withstand cold and umid enviroment better) Thanks in advance...
If y'all want to take a better look, the sites are Seedsgenetics-brazil.com and Floraurbana420.com.br
Id get something from fastbuds . Anything gorilla I noticed puts out especially there gorilla cookies . Um Barney’s purple punch is sopose to do good too
I was between the blue dream and gorilla cookies, but fast buds has an elevated price, but if it really is superior that would be my buy..
Yep those a good choice too
Out of these I’d do the purple punch or blue dream super lemon haze would be a good choice too
Ill look better into those, tysm!!
From the 5 starting clones, only 1 survived, its 10th day today. The other 2 i took 5 days ago, the small one buried in soil had a weakened stem, seems to be alive, dunno if will thrive tho, the other small one seems to already be going dead. Keeping umidity dome and taking it off for 10min 2x a day. Any tips for improvement or what to do i would appreciate a lot!
Turns out the thinner, newer one is a male, not even herma (Seeds supposed to be feminized, bought from the website SeedsGenetics from the Royal Queen Seeds bank...), and unfortunately the 2 surviving clones were taken from that plant... I think ive taken the male out before opening its sacks (i pray actually hahaha). Well, looking from the good side, now the fem will have more centered light and i got space to another fan to help with the high umidities i get here (60% to 85% during dark period).
Almost finishing the 2nd week, already did a FFJ to feed her trough the weeks now.
Yesterday did another defoliation for a better air flow and removed some new small growth spots, also did a tea with biogrow, leon trich, molasses, azospirillum brasillense, some michorrizea, a FFJ and aloe vera. She started smelling like a hot stench of coffee, can't wait to see her fattening.
I left some little bud sites that seems closer to the bud tops, and decided to keep them, even tho i know they wom't produce as good, should i leave them be or take them off?
Leave them and after this run if it don’t dense up then I’d trim more but looks like you’re at about half lollipopped. I normally shoot for a 1/3 or less before flowering then again around week 3 but yours look good to finish
Yeah, went that way, took 1/3 on the flip day, and a little more upwards now. Ive seen in youtube a guy (Cultlight - 28 dias de floração), who removed a lot of branches, popcorns and leaves by the 28th day of flower, could be the case to do just that?
Ehhh I’m that type to leave a bunch because I never saw an increase in weight or density having some lowers left at the bottom but I’m also a hash maker so whatever don’t survive the bud bowl trimmer gets tossed in the freezer. There are some strains where the lowers get dense like Godfather OG and the Kush Mints so I say it’s strain dependent on how much to trim off.
Or get some under canopy lighting🤙
Yeah, thought about that too, my only problem is heat in that case, the other 100w chinese painel i have heats a lot, and im already battling around 30oC everyday with lights on... Will probably leave her be now, the less stress the better i thin rn.. Thanks a lot man, i am a fan of your little monsters! Hahaha /,,/
i let them stretch early. just gives me more to top back sooner. currently have one about 16 days old that's been topped 3 times
getting into it hahaha been learning as i go, what is a sign that shows me the time to top them?
between 3 and 4 nodes. so my last run I have one that's super happy. has 5 when others had 3 it got three tops
you wanna go before day 21 but after day 7 most cases. you can top really early if the plants a freak and it takes off from day 3 or so to the first node
thanks for the learning bro, apreciate it! Too anxious around them, eyeing them every 15 xD
