1st grow indoors(cardboard box to 2x2x4 to 5x5x6)
Grow Timeline (63 updates)
Always purchase rooted clones, zoap was trashed out as u can see. Went back to the dispo and seen a see of yellow in the clone dome. First plant in so wasn't a hazard to other plants.
Fox farms soil OF
Everything else came from exotic nurseries in MI.
Been feeding general hydroponics flora series 3 part.
Started in solo cups: motorbreath 15/alien sherb
Transplanted into 3 gallons couple weeks ago
Wedding pie in the small terracotta
Zoap(charlie brown tree) is in the smallest terracotta
Accidentally snaps are in a water bottle to see if they'll root/all wedding pie snaps from LST
Paperclips can be used to LST btw π
Performed actiontype.feeding
.25 gallon ish each no run off just fed til heavy this time
I usually do til run off however I just cleaned the tent and did not want a mess
The lst with paperclips seem to be doing well
Also plucked a few tops with my fingers the low stress topping method(no scissors)
2x2x4 tent
Waiting on a 4x4x8 from a friend
When to flip.....that is the question.
Fungus gnats are present but overall no issues pest wise
So last night before bed I peeded in and saw this weird "mutation"?
I know leaves can produce buds like this, but I'm still in veg and going for a longer veg for clones. 1st indoor grow is always the longest when starting a perpetual cuz I gotta wait on the plant to produce enough to pull clones and a harvest.
So has anyone seen this
Had a LST accident snap a branch but it's not on this stem where the leaf is. It's also near the top of the plant.
Wedding pie strain
Weird looking I've never seen anything like that. But honestly it doesn't look bad. Maybe jus light too close or too high in nitrogen my guesses
It's super weird. When I Google it there's a common mutation similar in flower. But I'm still in veg. It looks like one of the main stems is trying to maybe start again out of this new shoot π€£ Idk but I will be documenting it and what happens.
Hell yeah id do the same. Lol gota love dr Google AI
U having any changes in the environment? Most likely a genetic mutation, keep an eye on the rest of the plant & is that the area where u broke branch ?
Yup. I use grok to pull sources while I sip coffee. I back check but it narrows the guess work and makes it so I'm not traveling down endless rabbitholes. But can't find nada on this
Not the area I broke a branch but was an area I topped weeks ago. It had already fully recovered I did raise my light and increase it to 100% 65watt 600 watt equivalent fecida light from Amazon.
Hey whatever works I was jus messing no hate here I've used it a couple times
I google everything and use ai for alot of stuff π
Nothing to worry about it's just a genetic mutation not super common but it happens I've had leaves like curve towards each other and make like a eye shape
Yea that's what I figured too. It almost looks.like a flower pistol in it tho in the photo. Super weird but super cool. But yea there's a little white hair in the leaf protruding with the mutation. I'm kinda geeked to see what it turns into
Think it may be "showing sex" from stress from topping and raising light?
Shit at this point me and Ai are BFF π
I think I have a plant that has leaves curving in a weird way
Is it a photo plant or is an autoflower. Cuz normally the only light stress that will cause it to show sex is if you change the light cycle if it's a photo
If you do and you get a chance to clip one off and save it cuz it's a unique grow I wish I would have done that with the ones that I just clipped off a little bit ago
Photo which is why it's so weird to me. That being said it is thriving and my most mature plant.
I was thinking of cloning this branch specifically. I'm watching to see if it is just isolated to that branch
Not a bad idea
How so is it on ur grow ?
Haven't fed them yet but definitely needs fed
Alien sherb back left
Wedding pie back right
Motor breath front left
Zoap and clones front right
Added generic dollar tree humidity dome to try and help clones along for now while I wait to upgrade
Motorbreath showing signs of underfeeding?
Side note: mutation on wedding pie
Slow growth due to needing fed and more than likely needs transferred to a 5 gallon pot when moved to a 4x4 tent
So the mutation basically looks the same
Didn't do anything to em today.
Yesterday's heavy feeding seems to be correcting the cal mag issues in alien sherb and wedding pie
But still trying to dial in how much actual water is needed per plant per pot π
I always water to run off but 1 gallon waters all the plants.
2 are in 3 gallons
1 is in a very small terracotta
The other is in a .5/1gallon terracotta
Any input
So I gave these girls double calmag cuz I kept seeing an issue.
Saturated the foxfarms oceanforest soil cuz I have been watering often every couple days vs watering when it's dried out completely.
Droopy leaves and the wedding pie is showing more signs of calmag issue.
I just did a heavy defoliation and will upload new tent Pic
Also turned the inline fan on full blast with positive pressure(blowing into the tent) and turned a small usb fan on at pot level towards the soil/surface.
My soil is also covered in perlite to combat fungus gnats
Will be using another soil next run cuz fox farms attracts them like crazy
Any help/input is appreciated
Mutation notes:
Similar look still
Mutation is definitely bigger though
Still not spreading
Sticky strips (Amazon) will combat your gnat problem. Your calmag issue could very well be a ph problem. Iβve overlooked it before, convinced I was missing nutrients. Itβs the cheapest and easiest fix. Once you have ruled out ph, then look for other issues. Good luck!
No soil ph tester. What's the best easy to dial in ph? I would check run off but due to the overwatering issue/poor draining? Idk if I should flush them or not. Open to any input my guy
A fairly reliable ph tester can be purchased on Amazon for under $10. I highly recommend getting one. Overwatering will cause the roots to rot and grow slowly. Underwatering is preferred to overwatering and can easily remedied when your plant gets stressed. A heavy defoliation will stress your girls out also. Give her a few days to recover from the trim and try watering less. They should bounce back soon. I know it can be frustrating when your problem could be caused by several factors but try one solution at a time and wait for results.
Performed actiontype.ph
Ppfd 243(reading from phone app no tools or gadgets)
Light ppfd for stretching was done as I prepare to move them into a 4x4 or 5x5(still deciding)
Flush results
Zoap ppm run off 480/ ph 6.42
Wedding pie ph 6.3 /ppm 562
Alien sherb ph 6.2/ ppm 1000(definitely had Nute lock out fml)
Motorbreath #15(was super thirsty and also the only plant not showing signs of nutrition issues) ppm says 2000....ph 6.1
So not the end of the world but need to dial in before flipping.
Fed wedding pie zoap and alien sherb the new nute
Motorbreath wasn't thirsty
Super cropped
Tied branches down
Cloning everything but zoap tomorrow
Going to start experiments
2 broken motorbreath branches from supercropping that are attempting to clone with gel and perlite cuz why not
Can't wait to fill the empty space in this huge tent
So today I bought peatmoss pellets and 1 more clone dome and some coco coir to try out growing in a nutrientless medium.
Over fungus gnats and fighting them with fox farms soil.
Took 6 motorbreath
Took 2 zoap cuz why not(its still prolly too tiny to clone but yolo)
Took 5 wedding pie
Took 3 alien sherb
16 total clones
Any advice?
Vents closed fully for first few days then start opening?
Burp 2x daily once at night once in morning ?
The way I clone is by taking lower branches, since they naturally have higher levels of rooting hormones. I make an angled cut with a clean, sanitized razor, lightly scrape the outer layer of the stem, then soak it in a rooting solution. Before starting, I prep my soil or medium by watering it and letting it sit for about an hour. Once the cutting is ready, I poke it into the medium, make sure itβs snug around the stem, give it a light mist, and put a dome over it. After a few days and every other day Iβll I crack the dome or give it fresh air to prevent mold. I also like using clear Solo cups with a red Solo cup slid over them this lets me lift the clear cup to check for roots without exposing them to light.
I did lower and top cuts. Hear conflicting things on both being hormone heavy. But I agree with the bottoms more so because the clone domes I have aren't tall, and it's all lollipop shit at the bottom anyway
Bout to transplant wedding pie tonight
Have to buffer coco cuz I'm a noob and didn't know it was a thing that you have to do or that I can buy pre buffed coco.
5 gallon transplant from the wedding pie currently in a tiny terracotta
First in video
These seeds I got for free from the guy who sold the tent are not germinating with the towel method.
Scratched with sandpaper and put into a peroxide solution today in a cup to try and get em to pop as a last resort.
Clones got to breathe a little to long today but I sprayed em with the thrive green foliar spray and sprayed everything else cuz why not. It's veg and my plants are mature enough to handle alot
I'm sure that method is more effective in spring in summer . depending on where u live .I've always used a heat pad and 60/40 peat perlite with anzomite and micrizal in germnating area . I plant in pot I'm finishing with if it's a auto if it's photo I use a cup and I always put a lid on it . On a heatpad... I know guys normally put them in a baggie doing paper towel method . I also soak for 2-3 hrs in gs plant foods fish n kelp .tons of hormones in kelp .since I switched to the soak I'm hooking up 100%
Yea I think they dead sadly. Gonna toss em in a seed starter and see if they pop
New year new lights
Added another 2Ltr diy co2 bottle
2 ts600 mars hydro lights(used)
Turned off fecida and vivosun lights(65 watt and 100w vivo)
So there is 200 watts going rn ppfd around 400/500 varying on plant height
Will turn on vivosun when flip
Added box fan for air movement
Will be flipping soon
Noticed either a bug issue or a nutrient issue with a few of the plants.
Mainly wedding pie and zoap, so going to trim back all the damaged leaves and see of they pop back up, I had topped both plants a week or so ago so it can be damage from my fingers.
Waiting for roots to show on the clones b4 flip due to me running a perpetual grow system.
Maybe will take more clones tonight as well now that i can open the 2x2x4 back up.
Figure I can add a table and make it dual level with a seed starter light or reuse my cardboard box set up for clones then move them to the 2x2x4 then flower.
Opinions
Removed scrog net it was irritating me
More zip ties for training
I prefer the more control they offer
For now
Gave water ph 6.5 to all soil plan
Fed wedding pie in coco
U want a little advice man ?? Run wolsinite in your plants u won't need a trellis net or scrog net
What is that?
Wolsinite is a very good form of calcium silcate ..it's a very good form of Silca .works great my branches strong like bull !!
Silca but not just any Silca the best form .I ran tps Silca it garbage they worm tea is great for tps tho.my mentor runs rhino skin he doesn't need a trellis either
Donβt use any zip ties on the plants will grow into the zip ties & tear the shit out of stems . Use soft training ties & loosely tie down . Try using the LST 90 degree clips get em cheap on Amazon & u get a bunch of em & works good . I use to supercrop each branch & these saving me so much time
I had that issue with paperclips But the zip ties done really affect em, BUT what I thought was mites was actually damage from the zip ties when I would move the scrog net around or the pots. So I see your point but I'm one of the growers who constantly chills in my tent, by the time they would do that kind of damage I would snip it, let it heal, and the training will have been complete and the branch will stay down. It's how I grew them the entire grow
Also don't those benders themselves bend if u forget to remove them? Serious question
If anyone sees issues lmk
Just transplanted into 5 gallon buckets, zoap(smallest pot and plant) motorbreath 15 pieces genetics(prolly best genetics in tent)
Alien sherb is still in the 3 gallon and will stay there a few more days as I just rock it out and wait for a new 5 gallon bucket from my wife's job π€£
Transplanted into fox farms coco loco added a TON of perlite to the mix, then added perlite ontop of coco to deter the infamous fox farms gnats, as well as add a bright "reflective"(according to ai π€£) barrier to induce underside growth. I think that's bullshit personally.
ππππ
Hoping they like the FF coco loco I put them in
Defoliated some leaves
MOTORBREATH: thing is a compaxted MONSTER! Seriously, i have 0 clue how many shoots are popping out of this thing cuz every branch creates 2/4 nodes. It just keeps bushing out so it got a heavy defoliation after these photos and tied down to branch out vs Christmas treeing like it is
Possible nitrogen toxicity among all plants.
Cutting nutrient load to just tap water/ and root 66 from technaflora to encourage more root development while I "flush" over the next week or 2.
Going to let them balance out and return to their normal color as I have a dark color on all leaves, and the alien sherb(pic above) is massive horizontally but the leaves look like calmag deficiency even tho I have been putting in every feed. So I'm going to back off all nutes and do a reset and see how they act. With the recent transplant on all but the alien sherb, I'm assuming the fox farms ocean forest is still releasing nutrients 70 days in nearly and I've overloaded the medium.
Sitting cross legged the alien sherv canopy is knee to knee give or take haha
It doesn't look like it's going to be too big of a problem, and you caught it early πͺ
They already kind of showing lighter new growth! LST clips came today and omg way better than zipties and paperclips. Need to order more alrdy ran thru 40 in like 20 mins π
LST with new clips yesterday
Alien sherb is quite hungry I think as the pot is getting light
More than likely transplanting tonight/ today and going to feed and water with root 66 n sugar daddy from technaflora as a transplant feeding/ flush from the possible nitrogen issue. The wedding pie in mostly coco coir and perlite, not coco loco, but real coco, is already showing greener new growth so I do believe I was right to back of nitrogen
Definitely had nitrogen toxicity, more lime green growth vs dark green at the bottom.
Plants are thriving again, fox farms was definitely too hot with ocean forest, would maybe use it as a qwik amendment with coco loco but rather just stick to the coco loco or maybe dwc next run.
Installed scrog net again cuz I'm starting to run out of room in the bigger tent to walk around anyway.
Everything is finally in 5 gal buckets.
Seriously debating on dwc next run with individual buckets vs rdwc.
More control, less watering unless plants are thirsty/hungry that week.
Less bugs cuz 0 soil
The clone experiment will determine weather or not I switch, and will prolly grow one as a test run
Tent was a mess, heavy channing day, followed by flipping the tent around and since other furniture to allow full access on 3/4 sides of the tent for easier scrog setup and training.
Will feed wedding pie tonight due to it being in coco coir and Peet moss mix it stays thirsty.
Will be flipping to flower soon.
Is 3 100 watt lights enough?
so yesterday I cleaned the tent
Last night I defoliated wedding pie heavily
Trying to encourage a tiny bit of stretch to fill the canopy a tad faster so I raised the lights as well and have lowered ppfd to roughly 250/300 evenly(ish) via 300 watts(3 100 watt lights)
Wedding pie back left
Motorbreth 15 original cut
Alien sherb back right
And zoap(smallest)
Going to flip soon as clones show roots as I'm preserving genetics.
Need atleast 2 of each to survive prior to flip.
Once I flip all clones will be moved to a 2x2x4 solo cup tent to grow roots.
Once out of room I will begin removing one at a time over days/weekly basis.
Then mature the last 4 as new mothers to run it back again.
Don't have anywhere to put real mother plants so this is the only way I can figure in perpetual /no seeds clone only grow.
Pulled the trigger on 12/12
8:45-8:45
Defoliated by attempting more clones in pellets, and coco loco. Soaked pellets in cinnamon to see if that helps fight diseases.
Coco loco just got light feeding with some thrive and cloning gel on the cuts.
All but the 4 main plants have been evacuated to the 2x2x4 tent.
If my clones don't take ill just buy more or get seeds lol.
Damn they are huge can't wait to see how big they get now
I'm only pushing 300 watts so prolly not to big sadly.
What are you crazy 250bwatts will get you great results
What are you crazy 250bwatts will get you great results
What are you crazy 250bwatts will get you great results
In a5x5?
Yes u might have to get a 2 light
Yea I got 3 100(110) watt lights in there now haha
Damn u mine have to put one back jn
Only got the 3 that are in there sadly. 300/330 watts is what I'm working with
Damn I wish u were close t o me i could help u out I have a few extra lights i have 2 250 watts 100 watts
I got my eye on one on ebay and I'll prolly just use klarna app to buy it on payments to max this harvest or atleast next harvest. Spider farmer sf4000 i think is the model
Get the light i have its for a 5Γ5 light is cheap and qhats crazy its a underground light that's up there with the big names and its ture to what it says 500 watts 2080 PPFD
What's the model
Ace fanmer 500
Either that one or another one with more ppfd for about 10$ more.
Temu $110 bucks
Amazon running it for 110 as well, I'm buying that one and if I have to ill leave a 100 waft in there or maybe I'll just sell all 3 100 watts and recoup my 110$
Ur going to love it trust me my plants took off in a few days
Look at the new post
When do they stretch hahah
Defoliated everything but the alien sherb cuz I gotta slide in there on my side cuz I don't have access to the back left corner.
Lollipopped a little and trimmed almost every fan leaf off of motorbreath(last time I did that to motorbreath it exploded in 2 days with new growth everywhere).
Defoliated the alien sherb(cake) by kicmflip genetics
Man the tent looks so empty now that I defoliated. I mag have went a little excessive but I only removed lower bud sites, and anything that was a fan leaf to e courage more node growth.
Blinded by the light β¨οΈ
New growers choice roi e680 light installed.
Retired the other grow lights and will sell them off. Picked up for 100$ off fb marketplace.
Pushing 600+ ppfd across the canopy with prolly 800 in the middle.
60% power
40% was only like 300/400ppfd so I cranked it.
Fed before I left for work earlier
Came home and every plant was praying super hard!
Let's fucking go!
So plants looked good
Fed em yesterday so kinda just lifted the pots and will prolly need fed tomorrow.
Come to find out my ppms are pretty weak for flower so I'm Amping them up, seeing as I'm coming up on week 2 very fast.
Is 1600 ppms to much of a jump? I don't see much of a "stretch" these first few days.
Seems to finally be stretching
Woke up this morning and the wedding pie(coco coir mainly) is taking off vertically, photos are from after I tucked it back down
Filling the scrog net as best as I can.
First indoor run so any pointers?
1600 ppm to much of a jump from 1k?
I see ppl on youtube be pushing nutes hard during stretch then hard but different recipe rest of flower.
Fed general hydroponics flora series and a cal mag supplement from technaflora
1600 ppms
Pushing them hard this second week and will continue to do so until I see burn signs.
With the heavy duty new light I expect them to begin eating more and faster during this second week transition into flower.
From my understanding major stretch begins around day 10 thru 21.
Hope I get a good yield
Did light defoliating on everything off and on throughout the week.
Pushing ppms at about 1200/1600 varying on whatever hits once mixed but try to keep it under 1400 after the first burst of 1600 flower nutes(trying to send strong flower signals)
Also added open sesame the last week of feeding.
Will be using and then switching to cha ching shortly then tapering off the chaching due to nitro levels too high imo.
How we looking π
We got buds baby!
This is zoap
However alien sherb cake is already showing fatter buds than all others. π
May have to feed wedding pie again due to the coco Peet moss mix that it's in vs coco loco/ocean forest in others.
Swapping to mainly coco grows after this with either just coco coir, or coco loco haven't decided yet.
Had either root rot or a K lock out. It started creping towards the buds so I chopped it rather than risk a plant.
Other 3 are worth flushing then hitting with a k booster or something. At this point I want more amber and bigger buds but I think for a first run this is prolly done....
Are you drying in that box? Amber you get with time. As for bigger buds, you'll get some w environment but mostly that's a heavy genetics factor
Yea box dry. Got dogs so hairs a factor always, and winter so dusty from not being able to vent the home like I usually do. Heard cardboard boxes are the way if u don't have a dry tent. Got a fan in there and humidity and Temps are on point at 60% and 65Β° give or take up to 68. Got it ontop clone tent by window and it's snowing.
Pic just looked like it was smooshed against the side. Only reason I asked. Watch those areas if it is. Passive airflow is your friend, smooshed is not πGood grow though, looks great
Thank you glitchπ€£π€ someone else gets it.
Upgraded to larger box with exhaust fan on bottom installed and passive open vent to pull air on on top. Desk usb fan so no real powerful air movement
Nice!!! Slow and steady don't rush the dry/cure!!ππ
Oh I won't I took test branches last week to speed dry and test for potency and fire bud taste awful from harsh dry. I know better but hard times+no bud= snip snip π€£ But I got about a quad slow speed drying on a rack vs hanging the entire plant. Also cuz I'm use to hanging big branches from outdoor yields I just decided to do the same thing here and ended snipping the main branches. Popcorn went to the rack along with 1 top I'll smoke the rack shit when I run outta the dispo shake i just grabbed then the cardboard box set up should be in jars by then and the rest shud be chopped and will have no need to rush the final 3 π

Thatβs what I do to the indicaβs π΄π΄π΄
Brother I'm having issues still fan leaves are turning brown and dying. Idk if that's normal for week 9 beginning or not. Idk if I should chop or risk it for bigger nugs....
Brown and dying sounds like other issues like a lockout or burn. Iβd call it before the burns get to the buds itself.
If youβre in week 9 of flower youβre not going to get to much more weight out of the harvest. Unless itβs a 11 weeker
Can't wait to chop this beautiful Alien Sherb Cake by kickflip!
Zoap Harvest update(aka the Lil plant that died at birth, again as a teen, and kept coming back to deliver the biggest buds of.the tent nearly)
Updated box dry set up and have it in bathroom rn due temp swing in my room rh hit 50% temp hut 70Β°....
Am I cooked.or can I save it with stabilizing the box?
π€€π€€π€€
So k issue persisting thruout the plants.
Had time today as I was off with the wife and I went into the tent. Tons of dead leaves around the bottom
End of life cycle? K lockout issue? Idk π€·ββοΈ
Started a flush days ago, slowly as to not shock em, saw.buds swell slightly so today I hit em with heavy K nute.solution .
Will more than likely be forced to chop these like I did zoap cuz I don't want to risk bud rot just for more amber. Trichomes have been milky with that "perfect" amber amount but I want bigger yield.and more amber personally. Growers can't be choosers sometimes
Wish me luck and leave ANY and all advice as I am broke but adapt as quickly as possible.
So close I can smell it
This is turning our ti be a big yield of a harvest.
On day 4 of drying zoap last night I weighed the branches(day 3 you lose most of the water weight from what I hear) and they are still wet but weighing over 1/2oz per branch. Think I'll have 4oz off zoap alone, and another 4 off each of the others resulting in a 1lb harvest.
The k lockout/possible calmag issue has slowed down after the flush and heavy K feed yesterday.
Pots are SUPER heavy so I'll more than likely skip feeding and watering tomorrow as well unless the buds swell overnight.
I also turned down the growers choice roi e680 (680/720 watt) Light to 40%(60% bumps at end of day and when they first come on) to help keep stress from k lockout down. Google says the heat stress will contribute to it. Ppfd is LOW at 400/600 ppfd across canopy.
Looking pretty dank!ππͺ
Zoap(unknown genetics from Indian reseveration dispo clones)
Yield was amazing tbh.
Frankly this was the oldest plant but the sickest and was eventually just " along for the ride" plant.
What it yielded dry weight
112 grams trimmed and dried confirmed
I did speed dry a ton of It and weighed some of that up at about 20 grams, but I had smoked a ton alrdy(past day 3 I would take a ton and dry it on my light to stop myself from spending money at the dispo when I could be buying bags of soil π€£)
So I believe the real true Yield to be somewhere between 5&6.5 ozs dried.
I'll never know
But I do know that the alien sherb was super heavy and took up wayyyy more room and used 2 boxes so I'm hoping that yields half lb or close.
Motorbreath 15, sad to say, this was suppose to be one of the best genetics in the tent, and it yielded the worst.
Airy buds, only took up half a box to dry in, had some huge nugs, idk if it was sativa traits or what but there's no firmness to the buds at all. Feels very leafy not buddy.
Super disappointed.
Running most if not all strains again, I fucked up my clone labels so idk what actually rooted and what didn't, rookie mistake but I'll figure it out. I know for sure I have motorbreath saved cuz I was sure I wanted that one to carry on and now I don't.
Wedding pie is still going will chop tomorrow prolly cuz I need to buy another box cuz sherb was heavy and used a extra box
Wedding pie is officially down and chopped
Hanging entire plant in the clone tent, turned into temp dry tent while the 5x5 veg foe a week or so and the 7 clones get ready to flower.
Not doing buckets had algae this run on roots
Going with fabric pots with a twist. Stay tuned I'm just getting warmed up
Wet weight on the wedding pie was approx 2.3 lbs
Lfg holing off the last 3 chops I get a full unit or close.
Love yallcfor the help!
2x2x4 high tent Trying to max the yield so have topped the wedding pie clone so many times I lost count π Motorbreath 15 came heavily bushed out alrdy but I topped it still bout 3 weeks ago with the rest Alien sherb was topped as well but not heavily Going to Scrog as well but need to pull clones for a perpetual system as these strains are photos and I like em all except alien sherb haven't tried it yet. Thanks for any and all feedback
