3 out of the 6 seeds have popped Taproots and been moved into Rockwool Ph’ed to 6.0 with RO water in a Germination dome. Other 3 seeds I will leave in there in New paper towel for a Cpl more days to see if they pop… once some true leafs begin to grow we will start adding Light

Just running Pure RO water looks like a bit a burn on the little guy. I wonder if I’m over watering. I feel I used the great white to early n maybe should do so when there like 2 weeks old as there only going on 5 days old 😅
sweet nice set up . do u have a room or a grow tent couldn't tell if we were in one I'm real high one my buddies brought over a bud of some devil driver he grew omg it was tasty haven't had some good my homemade in a while .I also can't wait to sample some gorilla haze I got it's gg4 x amenisa haze it's frosty thought it was garbage at first when I just stunted it what buds I'll get look amazing I'm a sucker for any gorilla cross!

Haven't heard of lotus pro before. Great white is great for microbes, are you using any enzymatic formulas like hygrozyme to help prevent root rot and help the mycorrhizae? I didn't want the mess with pool shock or anything like that by running sterile.

Yep. So the one I use hygrozyme has enzymes like Cellulase, xylanase, hemicellulase, and beta-glucanase. The main purpose is to help break down dead root matter, converting it into sugars your mycorrhizae can digest and feed off of while also helping to prevent root rot.

Spray. The seed with some water and some peroxide, 3%. It'll help it come off.

I use rockwool cubes to germinate as well. just a helpful tip, I find best results if the rockwool is slightly dry. they can get overwatered if too wet. I use droppers to feed.

also with dwc I recommend using as many air stones as possible in each bucket. will decrease the chances of root rot. water temperature if too high will deplete oxygen from water. causing rot.
don’t forget to feed calcium most important nutrient at this age. the other nutrients can wait a bit. the seed has enough till true leaves.
Yo thank you so much for the info I was litteraly just wondering if I could give my buckets more Air. I got a 8 way air system with one going to each bucket leaving 4 open…. I think I’m going to run 2 Air stones to each bucket…
there isn’t a limit on how many you can use. I would run at least two. I use the disk air stones. smaller the bubbles the better. the root system gets massive and starts to choke itself so oxygen bubbles help aerate the roots

After close examination, I’ve realized that it was not burn on my leaves, but a piece of the seed so after removing the little piece of the seed on the tip of the leaf they’re ready for success

they interact great one controller I run all 4 fans on while the other controller runs the light both carbon filter air filters and the Humidifier on it.. the controller with fans runs temp same but humidity will be 2% lower so there is a option to off set the temp by that number of degrees so they match
from my research Hydro will always out perform soil and coco… this is my first grow period and I did a lot of researching before hand and even soil and coco growers who have done hydro claim to never go back after so I figured if I’m a do some take it all the way right
yeah bro I started in soil then moved to Coco coir back on 2016 haven't changed since. But my guy I buy off who does dwc said it's a game changer. He's been trying to get me to switch over. He's going to set me up with the gear. so I'm keen to give it a go.

Hey man, looking awesome! Great start. Looks like you have enough equipment to straight up control the weather LOL Is that a UV light? I've seen people use them only in late flower, never in early seedling stages like this.. Does that work well for you? Also, any reason your LED bar is so high up? I usually bring it down low at the start and slowly raise it as the plants grow so I can use minimal electricity/intensity while also getting better control of the spacing between nodes

as far as the blue light I heard it was great for leaf development and great for all stages if u have the height right

More sets of Leafs are forming
PH is naturally raising from 5.8 to 6.5 every 24 hrs and PH down I realized is 1ml for every 0.1 you want to go down so that’s cool.
also the ph Rises from 5.8 to 6.5 every 24 hrs and Ph back down to 5.8. Checked twice a day mid day ph is round 6.2 and ph back down to 5.8 and then left alone till morning to be back to 6.2

So far so good 2nd set of true Leafs are developing great good color. no signs of excessive stretching and over all they look pretty healthy and happy… Right before lights out they got 30 ml of there bucket water put on top.. GOOD MORNING EVERYONE
give them a cal mag foliar spray. the little white specks are a warning sign of calcium deficiency. calcium is the building blocks. they require a bit more calcium when they are growing. calcium is king 👑
how do I make a spray? just RO water and Cal mag? how much per gallon I use Lotus Pro Series… thank you so much for your advice and that observation. I been more wondering if the leafs were just a lighter green cuz there new or if they were yellowing I didn’t even notice any what specs worrying about the color

Shout out Six for putting me on game with the Calcium issue I was about to have I made a spray up with a 1/4 a tsp of lotus cal mag in a gallon of a RO water and been sprayed em off n on since yesterday and they have ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT N THERE COLOR IS AMAZING NOW!!!! THANKS AGAIN SIX U DA MAN

Really starting to notice growth after the Fooler spray of cal mag so I got a Time lapse Cam for us to enjoy seeing them grow in 10 min intervals for a week once a week and I’m excited 😊

after checking PB last night I found 3/4 girls have roots reaching the water!!!! so I drained water down to were only the water from air bubbles were hitting the roots and roots still got oxygen.. 😃😃🤓🤓🤓😃😃

Cleaned Nasty brown Stuff off roots and sprayed with hydrogen peroxide n RO water and Did a complete rev change and cleaned sprayed roots once today with hydrogen peroxide water. kinda worried 😟 😞
I didn't see any root rot? unless you have pictures of it. root rot is due to usually lack of oxygen. if you're pushing oxygen I don't know why they would have root rot.
what are your water temps? bubble all you want but if it's too hot you'll battle rot constantly. are you using bennies or running sterile?
I believe it’s like 70 72 but it had gotten as high as 75

what do u suggest I do to cool down the water? RO water ice cubes? maybe ? idk this my first grow and I start my new videos games on Hard Mode by default I guess lmfao
ideal water temp is 65-72. 72-75 you're playing with fire. prolonged temps >75 you're gonna get slimy roots. temps <65 you're slowing growth. as for keeping temps down best way if you're in rdwc, water chiller. if you're dwc it gets tougher. frozen water bottles or ice packs can help but it's hard to control and eventually your roots will fill that bucket and putting frozen objects on roots isn't ideal. beneficial bacteria such as hydro guard or southern ag GFF. it's adding 'good' bacteria to out compete pythium (root rot bacteria). sterile is clear Rez (hypochlorous acid) or calcium hypochlorite which helps kill/lower all bacteria. adding hydroguard or clear Rez will let your temps run a little hotter before disaster strikes but it's not a cure all because warmer water holds less O2 and hypoxia will definitely stunt growth or kill much like in soil
Glitch thank you for the much needed Detailed information are there any cost friendly chillers? I have no resivor I just use buckets and air stones and the air tube that came in the root spa
of course man. always glad to help. I don't think a chiller will work for dwc, they are made for recirculating systems. if you're going to stick w hydro I'd recommend either modifying your current system to it or building one after this grow.
Well, I beat the root rot with the hydrogen peroxide. spray completely broke down, sterilized water, and tent while remaining to spray the roots and reservoir with hydrogen peroxide and water mix I over, fed them the day before yesterday, so I left them alone yesterday, but continued to treat with the hydrogen peroxide today I treated with the hydrogen peroxide and added a feeding of cow, mag lotus Bloom and lotus grow, and they are back to life and the root rothas not been showing up on the roots all day will continue to treat with the hydrogen peroxide the next couple of days to ensure. I also raised the lights back up a little bit and turn the lights down

I spend all day with them and watch em grow in so excited to see what happens everyday

We would but we heard smoking with your plants actually causes the plant to close its stomata. Plants arent a fan of the smoke but they love CO2 and light. So we try to talk to them but Mary Jane is kinda a square about the smoke lol. Love the vibes tho 😆 👌

Frozen water bottles in the buckets will help with water temps while you wait on the chiller.

Needed to cool the water down so button installed a new recirculating deep water culture system with reservoir New RDWC System installed! REALLY LIKE THIS SET UP!! REV got Frozen Bottle of Water to chill temp until Water chiller gets here Had to reroot the Runt She was to high up and her main root broke and didn’t want her not to be out the water so I cut a hole in the bottom of the net emptied out the hydroton and fed the roots thru and now she’s in the water but she’s buried deep I feel she will grow out well and during Topping n training the other plants she a be able to catch up
Not having a very good day been having recirculating issues. My end bucket is filling up to full and overflowing, so I have to turn the water pump off and not have any recirculation which is the reason for me getting a new system in the first place six is informed me that I need to install a return line so tomorrow I will be going to Home Depot for a four-way in a return line. Wish me luck guys.

Yeah, it seems to be working now. I just installed a return line and it’s not overflowing and it’s not getting past a certain point and all the other ones are level as well. It doesn’t seem as if the return line ain’t flowing back into it like it’s not enough pressure to have it flow back in , but it’s enough to keep it from overflowing if that makes sense and going past the level mark, which is weird

Once again, thanks 🙏 again Six on advising me to add a return line return line has been installed and everything is leveled out and continuing to recirculate extremely happy downside is one of my plants was drowned, but I’m trying to bring it back to good health
something for future kraz to remember. roots are going to grow into your return lines. once you start filling those buckets w roots stick your hand in there and gently pull the roots out. curl the tips to the other end. putting your airstone on that side helps but 3/4, 1" lines clog real quick. if you overflow, check there first 💚

usually by the 3rd time you redirect the root it'll stop going in there lol. if you get decreased flow, drain clog is usually the culprit, then in waterfall system, root stuck in the drip ring. if those are clear, check the pump. roots will break and get sucked into the pump. aquarium fish net to scoop any stragglers that make past the filter to the res

your VPD and leaf temperature, imo, should be .8 and for leaf temperature, 80 degrees your ec is there just not taking it up. my suggestion would be to raise temp and humidity. mine rt now are at 80 degrees and 85 humidity leaf temperature 82 because I running co2.

Hell yeah!!! this my first grow ever n I fell in love 🥰 couldn’t wait n started a coco run 2 weeks after starting this hydro garden 🪴 so my first grow/grows is technically a hydro and a coco coir run… and I can’t say I’d pick one over the other cuz while the coco is a more do its own thing n just watch it grow the hydro keeps me busy and hands on and learning more n more daily.. so for me its helped me fight depression n lack of motivation cuz im so excited everyday to to get up in the morning and check my plants n see how they have grown over the night…

Got them PH to about 5.8 to 6.0 Noticed each bucket was about a gallon and a half low so I filled them up and got them PPM to about 975 ec prob round 18 1900 the two in the back look tiny because I’ve just brought them back to life. They got drowned from them two bucks over flowing so they got really stunted for a while but I got em TOGTHER..

Put these bad girls in the 4 x 4 tent and ran the reservoir outside it and put all six Godfather’s oh geez In the 5 x 5 probably gonna add another light in here or two some before and after pics, tell me what y’all think. I think both girls will be more successful in these environments. Also, it gives me another tent to either start another four plants or use it to drive. I’m sure you know what I’m gonna do ha ha ha

she needs calcium buddy the leaves that look like they are missing parts are caused by lack of calcium. happened to me this grow with this new strain. calcium is the building blocks. not enough blocks to build, you have gaps in the building, so to speak
okay that makes since I might throw a little liquid cal mag in the res to see what happens how much would u suggest for 5 5 gal. buckets? I added ph to 6.0 RO water in last night to bring down the Ec/PPM thinking I had to much of something in it so it closer to like 900 now
900 ppm? or ec? the amount of calcium should be 300-500 ppm. so what I do is get a ec reading of nutrients before I add calcium then add 300 ppm worth of calcium. each calcium product may very so this is how I measure it.

that’s a bit spicy for their size it’s why it’s short and compact. lower ppm to 500-600 most and yes 300 of that is calcium lower your Ppfd. you want them to search for the light.
otherwise they look healthy. they aren’t deficient in calcium just need a bit more. so don’t add a shit ton and over compensate 👊

did a major defoliation on the fat bastard they were super bushy and light was not getting to attic places like I wanted so I did a major defoliation and left all top sites she still looking healthy. I just hope I didn’t do too much at one time or hinder any future top sites from coming in

Upgraded my hoses to one and a quarter inch thick black hoses instead of the clear ones because the green algae is just so ugly and I don’t want algae growing in my water so we’re doing a complete flush baby new water new hoses. New return line ran whole drilled in the reservoirfor return line steady goong to be adding upgrades
SHOUT OUT SIX for the much needed advice and support again and I did as so complete water change with Just pure RO water with Cal/Mag ppm to 300 I was ready 324ppm.. n to flush for two days to balance out Nutrients

what’s the total NPK ratios if you put bloom in as well. NPK ratios are important to balance too much of one will cause nutrient antagonism, why I like raw nutrients, add only what you need.
yeah unfortunately if you mess up in hydro water does get wasted.

yeah that’s no good ideal ratios equal parts NPK 1:1:1 otherwise 3:1:2 you need to balance nitrogen and potassium. that’s more than likely why you are experiencing potassium issues not enough nitrogen in your ratios
the NPK numbers mean how much of the element is in the bag you are buying like 20-20-20 is 20% of the total weight of your fertilizer bag 80% is filler so when I say NPK ratios I mean 3 parts of nitrogen 1 part phosphorus 3 parts potassium. not the nutrients ratio of the container. does this make sense? you have to do some math to figure it out.
now you see why a b nutrients are hard, I think anyways. I m not sponsored or sell for them but it is why I like raw so much you can cook your own food rather than someone else doing it for you.

Over all great growth did a lot of defoliation roots are getting huge and a nice color now even after fighting and beating root rot early in the grow!!! plants are taking up a lot of water so ppm raises and ph is dropping so I add fresh RO water and bring the ph back 6.0 if next few days she don’t take much water but the ppm drops I’ll know she eating and then make a feed solution for when they rev replenished

Loving how the ladies are taking to flipping to flower 🌺 done a bunch of defoliation and took some cuts to open her up some and focus on main tops
You definitely seem to enjoy defoliating lol but I’d recommend easing up while they’re still in the stretch. That early stretch phase is critical for structure and flower development and unnecessary stress can slow them down. I usually wait until around week three of flower to do any real cleanup once the stretch has finished

That’s how it always starts you grow it because you love smoking it, then next thing you know it’s a full blown hobby. Those plants turn into straight therapy. Wake up, grab a cup of coffee, roll a joint, unzip the tent. Then there I am standing there staring off into the forest in my underwear sipping coffee probably traumatizing the girls. Morning ritual, plant check, mental reset. Cheaper than therapy and way more rewarding😚💨
